Arbor

I have to get out before it's too late.

Biding my time until I can make a clean escape is the safest option, especially because my ex grows more volatile with every passing day. Unfortunately, by the time I find a window to put my plans in motion, I'm already thirty-eight weeks pregnant.

It doesn't matter if it's an inconvenient time for a move across the country. I take the chance, knowing I won't get another. Maine is like a whole different world when I'm used to Arizona, but I make the best of it. Only my little one decides to make her arrival early and during a snowstorm, no less.

Morris and his twin packmates, Hayes and Hael, come to the rescue, but the baby won't wait. They may help deliver my daughter, but I fully expect them to leave once we make it to the hospital.

It looks like we're all in for some surprises.

After all, my ex isn't going to allow me to just disappear. And more than that, what alphas would want to take on all my baggage?

Unexpected Delivery is a complete standalone with no cliffhanger. It's set in the same world as When She Needs Them Most and Whatever it Takes, but they can be read independently of one another. As with all my books, you'll find no cheating, no choosing, and the men fall first.

Obsessed.

Name a better meet cute than delivering her baby in a snowstorm 😌. I'll wait. This really was such a fun read. It was a definite slow burn which left so much room for the feelings to grow 🥹.

I really liked all the guys but of course Hael is my favorite and he deserves all the good things in this world. He's just the freaking sweetest and does absolutely everything possible to make both Arbor and Gracie happy. If he wanted to he would.

My heart freaking broke for Arbor so many times but the guys were always there to help and just ugh. It was just a sweet freaking story 😭. While it is a slow burn once the spice gets going man does it get freaking going. As usual another amazing book from Jillian West but like are we even surprised at this point?

Thank you to the author for the gifted arc

Whew! Come for the Omegaverse, stay for the post-pregnancy-trauma healing! ❤️‍🩹 😅

Jillian West is doing some heavy lifting when it comes to my mental health. Her last few books have been balms to old injuries that I didn’t even realize I needed healing.

In addition to this being a fantastic, slow burn, Omegaverse romance, this book is a reminder that pregnancy and post-pregnancy can suck… but that’s okay.

I’m just saying that Jillian West books lay out solid arguments for reverse harems. Babies are hard! Why not have three husbands?!?! (I guess the real deterrent is that the husbands would need to be written by women, and that’s a deal breaker.)

TLDR: Jillian West never misses a beat. Slower burn than most of her books, but the unexpected therapy makes this a must-read for parents.

This was super cute! I loved Arbor and all of her guys. I always know that I’m going to have a fun time when I’m reading a Jillian West omegaverse, and this story was no exception. This was a slower burn, but that was to be expected, since she has a baby at the beginning. Overall I really enjoyed this one.

Morris was easy to love right from the start. He wanted to help Arbor the moment they met. Poor Hayes was thrown right into the fire as he had to deliver Arbor's baby after only meeting her briefly a previous time, and Hael's POV was a bit comical during the whole ordeal. These fellas really stepped up when they didn't have to, and they decided both she and the baby were theirs. I loved the cameos of Easton and his pack. This one is super cute with patient Alphas who know exactly how to woo their Omega and muddle their way through caring for an infant.

I really enjoyed reading this.
I won’t lie though, those epilogues were my favorite parts.
I just love seeing the kids interact with the characters after everything has settled. So cute.

🎶 I don't wanna look at anything else now that I saw you. I don't wanna think of anything else now that I thought of you 🎶

Arbor (h) is on the run and she’s just trying to make it to a safe place. Enter Morris and his twin packmates, Hayes and Hael—three alphas who come to her rescue. But as the baby comes into the world, Arbor isn’t expecting any long-term help. But with her ex still out there, Arbor quickly learns that nothing is ever as simple as it seems—and these men might just be the unexpected family she never knew she needed.

─── ・ 。゚☆: THOUGHTS*.☽ .*:☆゚. ───

[Morris]

“Arbor, what the hell?” Morris growls, bending and sticking his head inside the vehicle.

“Mr. Morris?”

“It’s just Morris, sweetheart. Jesus Christ, are you and the baby okay?”

Morris is such a protector at his core, and you can really see that in how he takes care of Arbor. 💖💗💓💞💕 He has this nurturing instinct, especially when it comes to her, and it’s so heartwarming to see. Arbor felt so safe with him, like he was her place of comfort. It’s almost like she was drawn to him, wanting to be around him all the time because he made her feel protected and seen. She could confide in him without hesitation, and there was just something so calming about his presence. It was like he became her safe space, and she just needed that. Morris didn’t even realize how much of a calming and supportive force he was for her. From the very first moment they met, he instinctively wanted to be her protector. 💌 When she was worried about the car bill, he stepped in without question, took her home, and never really left her side. That’s just who he is—who doesn’t even hesitate to show up when it matters.

[Hael]

“Where’s Arbor?” Hael asks from the doorway.

“Maybe try not staying out half the night and you’d know.”

“Fuck you. I signed a three-bike deal that, if I play my cards right, will more than cover Arbor’s hospital stay, but the guy wouldn’t shut the fuck up. I’m beat. Seriously, where is she?”

His charisma really shines throughout the book, and I loved how he was so open about his feelings. His compliments were honestly hilarious, especially when he’d point out how attractive she was. Even though he was pushy with his feelings, he also respected her space, especially since she was dealing with postpartum. I think that's part of what makes him so lovable—he knew when to give her room but still made sure she knew how much he wanted her. He was so sweet with Gracie 🧸 The way he cared for her made me love him even more, he has a major soft side. MY BABY 💖He worked extra just to make sure her expenses were taken care of. LOVE LOVE LOVE HIM!!!💌❤️🤍💌

[Hayes]

“I know it’s a sign of past abuse to apologize for things that aren’t your fault, but I need you to try to stop. It makes me feel like you’re afraid of me, and it sets my instincts on edge, trying to figure out what I’ve done wrong.”

Hayes is such a sweetheart!!! I absolutely love how much he cares for both her and the baby, especially when he got her a glider, crib, changing table... it’s clear how deeply he loves them both. 🍼 The fact that he called Gracie his daughter just melts my heart. He’s not just stepping up as a protector but as someone who genuinely loves and cherishes them. And then, when he delivered her baby? 🥺 VERY HAYES CODED. Hayes is the kind of man who proves his love therough actions. He’s exactly the kind of presence she needed when she felt all alone.

He’s also super protective, which is one of the things I love about him. He’s not about to let anyone mess with what’s his, and that includes his woman and his baby. It’s clear that he treats them as his family, with so much devotion. Hayes is just the one who shows up in every moment, no hesitation.💌❤️🤍💌

[All]

“It’s been a rough few days, huh, Gracie Girl? You have no idea how hard it’s been on your momma. She’s beat, but that’s okay. She’s going to have help. And before we know it, I bet you’ll be sleeping through the night.”

The fact that they didn’t let her deal with postpartum alone and stood by her as she was struggling, stepping up as fathers for Gracie, don’t even 💗!!!! It was so pure. They didn’t do it with ulterior motives, they just wanted to help with the baby and make sure she had support 💖. It was a win-win situation because they finally felt like they were the missing pieces in their lives 💕. They took care of shifts when she was overwhelmed, and honestly, Arbor is the best mother ever. Hayes, Hael, and Morris are the sweetest dads to their baby girl 💓💌 There's something so heart-melting about seeing men who are completely devoted to their women and babies. The way they were so tender and obsessed with Gracie and Arbor just melted my heart. Their attention to detail, their protectiveness, and how they genuinely cared for both of them was just everything. Men who are loving fathers and partners really hit differently, and they definitely delivered! 💓💌

─── ・ 。゚☆: OVERALL*.☽ .*:☆゚. ───

The epilogues were absolutely ADORABLE!!!! I loved how everything wrapped up so nicely with them being a happy family. The closure was exactly what I needed, especially seeing her step into a place where she could finally deal with her ex and move forward in such a healthy way. It really felt like the perfect wholesome ending. This book just gave off all the cozy, comforting vibes. Nothing overly dramatic, just pure, heartfelt moments.

Oh man! I’ve read some intense pregnancy romance books but this one? Holy CRAP.

First of all. Apparently I’m a HUGE fan of the damsel in distress/snowed in/home delivery by the heroes/they decide to just keep her AND the baby trope. I mean there has to be a different name for that but, you know😂

This was SO good. I absolutely LOVED the twins- Hael especially. There was just something so sweet and golden retriever-esque about him. He just wanted his family so badly and that included Arbor and Gracie. Morris was a big bad long haired “daddy,” who first met Arbor and couldn’t leave her alone/stop thinking about her. and Hayes was the sweet, ex-medic who DELIVERED HER BABY and then just like.. imprinted on them both like a duckling.

Arbor is running from an abusive ex and a friend of hers gives her an old rickety car, and her old cabin in the woods thats def off the beaten path to escape to. Only issue is, Arbor is 38 weeks pregnant, in a brand new town, and doesn’t have the most reliable, well, anything. Her car breaks down almost immediately and Morris (who owns a car repair shop) comes to her rescue. He can’t stop thinking about her, and eventually a few days later when they’re on their way back into town from his grandmother’s house and its the middle of a blizzard, they come across a car that’s drifted off the road and into a snow drift.

Imagine those Alpha’s shock when they go to help the driver, open the door and realize it’s a VERY pregnant omega who’s CLEARY in distress and.. oh thats right.. GIVING BIRTH.

They’re not able to make it to the hospital so they go to their home which is way closer and Hael has to help Arbor give birth. Thank god he has medical training! The guys are all there for her every single step of the way, and after the baby is born and the EMT’s show up, they go with her to the hospital. Then? Well, they never leave her side.

Freaking HAYES man. They realize she doesnt have health insurance when they get to the hospital and so he just puts down that the baby is his and puts his insurance down like😂😂 Then he tells her “oh by the way we’re all signing the birth certificate.” Then they take her home, and go on a damn shopping spree for her and Gracie.

Needless to say, she’s their omega now and that little girl is their daughter now LOL

What I did love about this book is that there was no “magic” that made Arbor ready to get together with the Alphas right after giving birth. It took her some time.. to heal both physically and emotionally. Being a new mom is HARD and Jillian didn’t shy away from all that exhaustion and pain and fear that mothers feel right after having a baby. But the alphas were AMAZING and no one in the world does hurt/comfort the way Jillian does!

Infinity stars..yet another masterpiece from this amazing author!

Ahh! I loved this book so much! It was so sweet with a sprinkle of heavy topics. I absolutely LOVED watching Arbor get the pack she deserved after everything she had been through!

These three alphas will have you swooning from the very beginning, and if that doesn't work wait until they start caring with Gracie, Arbor's newborn baby girl they helped bring into the world. This book was the perfect example of 3 golden retriever alphas spoiling the heck out of their scent match. Subtly. And slowly these men showed Arbor exactly what he felt like to be properly courted. Through sweet dates and gestures, you can't blame Arbor for falling for these men as quickly as she did. They helped piece back together so many pieces that had been wrecked over time by the way Arbor was treated and slowly helped build up her confidence. Listening to Arbor war with her emotions over these men broke my heart sometimes. Especially when she felt so unworthy of them. But man did they convince her otherwise!!

I'm a sucker for a good pregnancy/newborn single mom omegaverse! And every single topic Jillian handled so darn well. From the labor, to the breastfeeding moments, then to all the postpartum feelings! The way I could relate to Arbor so many times was unreal! These topics were handled so well!

If you love a sweet omegaverse, with an omega on the run, who happens to run into three growly, but SOFT AF alphas who are determined to love her and spoil her and her baby!! This book is absolutely for you!!!

Things I loved-

The beautiful way each of these alphas balance making sure Arbor had everything she needed. And split the responsibilities of caring for her daughter.

The banter between Heal and Hayes

Morris giving her the night off and snuggles her. While Hayes took care of Gracie!

Morris and all his adorable parenting fears

Heal putting his insurance down on the paperwork he filled out at the hospital for her 🥰

Them calling themselves Gracie's dads and carefully hinting at the topic with Arbor

Arbor's relatable breastfeeding moments!!!

I needed a sweet, non angst filled book so I was excited to read this and it did not disappoint. 👏🏼♥️

Jillian is my go to for comfort easy reading books bc first off her content warnings are STELLAR. Other indie authors could take a lesson from her. Secondly she always has interesting plots and characters. And lastly she makes very few mistakes and her flow is normally excellent too. She has had some misses for me but 9/10 she hits it.

🔹RH no MM🔹

🔹On KU🔹

🔹Preg/birth in book🔹 really well done

🔹HEA w bonus epilogues 🔹

🔹twin sandwich🔹

🔹breeding/breast milk kink🔹

🔹Standalone but some characters from a prior book show up🔹

🔹Abused preg omega in the run🔹

Anything not covered here, rest assured your author has got you covered.

This story was character driven and I really love how JW wove it all around a pregnant lonely omega.

Yes the girl had some bad luck but it all turned around when she hit Maine. I also love how each fella just gets caught under her spell as well as that baby of hers. The way that all rolled out was super entertaining to read.

No anxiety from me during this book. It was just an easy, fun read with some great spice in there (ahem at the right times TY JW for knowing how to pace sex).

I say this on every review for a book of Jillian’s and I’ll keep saying it. I don’t know how Jillian does it but every book is amazing. I fall so in love with all her characters and this pack is no exception. The blue collar alphas was such a nice change. Morris absolutely stole the show for me. There’s just something about a big alpha being sweet, caring and just all around there to take care of you to calm all the crazy anxiety and make you feel safe. A big part of this book was the postpartum Arbor went through and I haven’t seen this often. Jillian did such a great job writing Arbor’s story. Mamas have got to be some of the strongest people out there 💕

Seeing some past characters was a lovely, pleasant surprise that I was not expecting (I stay away and do not read any potential spoilers/teasers) and had me laughing just as much as when I read their book. Seriously well done!!

I will always one click this author’s omegaverse. Always so delicious. This is a complete standalone, though we get a cameo of characters from another book. Just a treat if you have read them, not at all an issue if you haven’t.

It’s a super low angst, super sweet omegaverse read. Basically a comfort read, like snuggle in with a blanket for a good time read. While there are some steamy scenes, this is a character driven plot line more than a steamy time one. She quite literally gives birth in the opening chapters, so the bulk of their story is her being freshly postpartum. As such, we get to see them navigate this tenuous relationship and build it into their HEA, all without jumping into the bedroom first. And it’s beautiful.

Arbor is extremely pregnant when she moves to Maine to escape her abusive partner. Luckily, said abusive partner does not come back onto the scene until Easton finds him (iykyk)

This story is a beautiful homage to the postpartum experience. For the most part, the main conflicts center around healing from an abusive relationship and learning to trust in love again. And fear around the looming threat of a wealthy, abusive man.

There are twins in this pack, so if that's an ick for you, skip this one.

I loved this story, such a cute concept of meeting your pack during delivery.

On top of that. All the alphas were determined to prove to Arbor that they need her and Gracie and are willing to literally do anything to make that happen.

If you’re looking for a somewhat cutesy omegaverse with alpha knots, omega heats and alphas determines to heal their traumatized omega… this is for you!

This book was a delightful read and easily a new favorite of mine from Jillian West. I will never get over loving the pregnant FMC trope (especially when the guys immediately fall in love with the newborn baby), and the vibes in this one were so good! This was cute and cozy, and had just the right amount of angst & ex-drama. Definitely recommend!

Who wouldn't want to have the support of three kind, loving men in the aftermath of a complicated birth?

Sometimes when I read omegaverse, I'm disappointed it's not reality, but not for the sexy aspects, mostly it's for the protective alpha tendencies for their baby mama and children, even if the children aren't theirs biologically. Is this a trauma response? Probably, because you know some step-parents are pricks. ✌

I really liked book nr 1 from this “very pregnant” series.

But this one did not hit the mark.

I did like the characters. They were all sweet!
But this books is 80% pregnancy/motherhood. And 20% smut. And the smut was not interesting because it happened like 70% into the story.

+ a very explicit birthing scene that I wasn’t expecting 10 % into the book!!!!!

As sweet as I've come to expect from Julian West. It was more of a plot forward than spice but that was fine. It matched the characters and what they were going through. I would have liked more group scenes. It was very sweet.
