Spring has sprung—and so have sparks at Hollyhock Farm!

After an amazing year looking after Hollyhock Farm, on the beautiful island of Jersey, pregnant Lettie needs to step back from farming. The problem is, with her family overseas, there’s no one to take over.

But then help comes from two places at once. Handsome fire-fighter Joe needs to escape his small home since his mother and her new husband came to stay; he offers to help run the farm in exchange for board in one of the spare rooms. Then, adventurous newcomer Skye takes the other room, excited to try her hand at farming in such an amazing place.

But managing the farm together may be more than either of them bargained for, especially as each of them drives the other crazy, in more ways than one. Will the tension get too much for Joe and Skye, or could love bloom with the Jersey flowers this spring?

⋆. 𐙚 ˚ i'm so sorry, but dnf.

1⭐ - leaving the rating i would've gave if i finished, minus the hate review (you're welcome)

To avoid leaving this poor (probably sweet) author a long hate review, and also avoid another [insert ARC name] fiasco, I'm choosing to dnf this book at chapter 17. Mind you I have 50 chapters to read in total, so it probably would've forced me into a reading slump.

Full props to vaishnavi, charisse and anna for convincing me to dnf. ilysm<33

Love Blooms At Hollyhock Farm by Georgina Troy tells Skye and Joe story, from their first not to pleasant encounter, to their living and working together at the farm, to their blooming feelings for each other.

Skye and Joe live and work splendidly together, after their initial scepticism and embarrassment they find the right way to live side by side.

I adored how Joe decided to help Skye to look for her absent father, and how he is always there to support her. He is kind and altruist, at times he is also too amenable. Skye is lively and determined, I liked how she jumps into things with both feet and embrace new experiences.

Georgina Troy writing is soothing and easy to read, her characters are so well depicted that at the end of the story they seem to be real friends.

I've had a good time during my first visit to the Hollyhock Farm on Jersey Island, the colourful landscape and the fresh sea breeze conquered me.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for kindly giving me an advanced copy of this book to read.

This book was cute, I enjoyed Lettie and Brodie both asking for help on the farm to both Skye and Joe respectively.

Skye is visiting to find her dad so what better way to distract herself than by getting dirty on the farm. Joe is over his uninvited guests and needs some space.

It was a cute read and I enjoyed it. 3.5 stars, there was some predictable moments but overall I liked the tropes involved.

Is so good to be back at Hollyhock farm again!

With Lettie pregnant and needing to take a break from active farm life, she and Brodie seek help from friends, but when they both ask different people at the same time, two people arrive to help!
Joe and Skye aren’t too sure of each other as they put their options of each other aside for support their friends.
What follows is a story of friendship, of kindness, of helping each other out, of being there for one another.
There’s lots of different stories within this one, Joe and his family, Skye and hers, keeping in touch with Lettie and of course the farm.

The author describes everything so well, so will see the farm, the landscape, the island all in your minds eye. You will visit the sights along side the characters and feel you have visited these places yourself.

Yes, you could say it’s a little predictable, boy meets girl… etc etc, but there are so many other things going on within the story that it stays fresh and appeals to you throughout. What I really liked was all the characters, they are all really likeable and grow on you throughout. I felt the ending was really good, especially when Joe’s mum sees them at the end of the book.

All in all another lovely read from this author, and such a stunning cover too. 4.5 stars

Thank you to @rachelsrandomresources for inviting us onto this book tour.

I love books by @georginatroy they are always a lovely easy read.

This time we meet skye who has arrived on Jersey looking for her dad even though she knows nothing about him except he worked in the same hotel one summer as her mum. She ends up helping out on a farm as her friends boyfriends sister lettie is heavily pregnant and told to rest but what she doesn't realise is that Joe their friend will also be helping out on the farm too. She has already had a run in with Joe as he is a firefighter and the hotel she was staying in had a fire in the kitchen she got told to leave but decided to return for something he was not happy. Can they work together or will this turn into a disaster.

Such a lovely read and good characters I really liked skye and Joe. And loved how they worked together to get the farm working well. You could tell their was romantic tension hopefully we will get a return visit.

Love Blooms at Hollyhock farm is the third book in the Hollyhock Farm series which is set on the beautiful Jersey. Although I hadn't read the first two in the series I still enjoyed this one as it can be read as a standalone. I do feel that I would have benefitted from reading the first two books however, as I'd have liked to have known more about Lettie and Brodie and some of the other characters mentioned. I have downloaded book one though so I'm looking forward to reading it soon.

Skye and Joe don't have a typical meet cute moment so when they're thrown together at Lettie's farm neither of them are happy about it. Since both of them have good reasons to stay on the farm they must work together harmoniously and neither of them want to let down Lettie in her time of need.

A lack of communication between Lettie and Brodie means that the two of them arrive at the farm to take care of the animals, and they're both concerned that they will no longer be needed. This is especially a problem for Skye as she's not just visiting the island for a holiday and she'd be forced to go home otherwise.

The Romance between Joe and Skye was just one part of this story as Skye uncovers life changing secrets. Joe is a great support throughout all of this and I feel it definitely helped to bring them closer and form a strong bond. They may not have known each other for very long but the bond between them is undeniable.

The setting of this story is beautiful and actually made me want to visit Jersey myself. I looked up a few of the places mentioned and could see that they were beautifully described; hopefully I can take a little holiday there in the not too distant future. This was a lovely relaxing read with a few surprises and a lot of lush scenery. I'm looking forward to reading more from Georgina Troy.

I really enjoyed this next book in this series. I love re-visiting Hollyhock Farm and all the characters with a few new people added in. This time it had romance, animals and a new baby which was very sweet. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

"Love Blooms at Hollyhock Farm" by Georgina Troy. What can I say other than I enjoyed it and read in one day. Who doesn’t want to escape to a small farm on an island in the English Channel…

The setting of a small farm on the Island of Jersey sounded breathtaking. It had everything you could want in a story love, family, community and second chances.

I found the characters to be well developed, and multi-dimensional. You have Skye looking for her father and then fireman Joe who all wanted to help Lettie with the farm while her parents were away. The story was told from Skye’s perspective as well as Joe’s .

I will definitely read other books by this author.

I requested and received an advance reader copy of this book from Boldwood Books and Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

2,5-3 stars - tbh it probably deserves the full All That Fills Us, Autumn Lytlethree , the 2,5 is more reflective of me becoming older and growing bitter, and also growing more particular with my taste in books.

I've read so many books by now that I easily recognise "familiar plots" and "well used concepts" . Reading this I know I was getting myself into a sugary romance set on a farm and a small town-setting, I knew where the story would go, that it would be simple, easy to read, pure feel good, I knew not to expect anything ground breaking or "new", I wasn't looking for any of those things to. I wante tje sweetness and escapism, mindless enjoyment. And I did get it all.

So why not rate the book any higher? Simply put: because this felt just a bit too simple! For me, the whole setup was a bit weird and un-natural - both our main characters sharing the farm. I could get past that, but then when Sky finds exactly what she was hoping to find, (won't say what as to not to spoil it) without actuallt really even giving it any effort, it just felt too easy. More importantly, it felt so unlikely that my dose of good will fell short. The potential things standing in the way of a relationship also felt very small, which is fine, I prefer small stuff over huge traumas, but they were so insignificant that it almost seemed like they were just thrown in to add a little conflict and give the story more of a ... story? because that's the thing, there isn't really much of a story here at all. This is the third book in the series and by far the weakest one. It felt a bit like it was written just to keep the series going, and the result is that the story just kind of stretches the series out without adding much value.

also, At times it's a bit overly explanatory and repetitive - spoon feeding me little bits of information that I've already swallowed and digested several times over.

sorry to be so negative and blunt - I really did enjoy the previous two books. So... to add some positivity and end on a good note: the characters are likeable, the general vibe is feel-good, there's a good mix of humor and some real emotion. I love the setting - a farm on a small island. I appreciated that the story could be read as a stand alone, but that it did include previously mentioned characters (without requiring the reader to be familiar with them or the plots they were involved with).

I might have enjoyed this more if I were younger, or if the characters were a bit closer to my own age (just on the "wrong"/high side of 35+). So that's on me, though, I don't think I let that affect my review. I do prefer a bit older characters that Sky's 25, but I've read and enjoyed several books with 20-somethings, so that alone shouldn't matter that much.

Skye Sellers, 25, is visiting the Island of Jersey hoping to find her birth father. Her mother recently passed away. The woman had a job on Jersey and became pregnant while there. She never said who Skye’s father was but she did leave a diary behind.

Joe Marett, 30, is a fireman on the Island and lives in a house left to him by his grandfather. Unfortunately, his mother has come to town with yet another husband in tow and expects to take over Joe’s home.

Brodie is the local vet and his fiancee, Lettie is 7 months pregnant. She runs Hollyhock Farm. However, as her parents are on vacation again, Lettie finds she needs help on the farm as she is having complications with her pregnancy. Joe decides to take some vacation time off from his job to help Lettie and to get away from his mother. Skye learns from a friend that she can stay at Hollyhock Farm to help Lettie. The farm is well-known for its colorful hollyhocks and flavorful potatoes.

So, Joe and Skye settle into Hollyhock Farm and learn how to take care of the animals and the different plants. But there is also time to learn about the island. In addition, after some research, it turns out that Skye’s father still lives on the island. He is thrilled to meet her and she finds she has three stepbrothers.

Joe and Skye spend comfortable evenings together and soon spark an attraction to one another. When Lettie and Brodie return to the farm, Joe and Skye realize they need to leave, but where will they go?

This is a cute book that once again shows readers the beauty of Jersey Island and the friendship-to-love that blooms between two people. I look forward to more books about this area by the author.

My comments:

I was really excited to read Joe's story as I've loved him from the beginning of the series and always hoped he would get his story. He's a very caring and kind person and always willing to help. Skye was also a funny and wonderful character and it was clear early on her and Joe could be well-suited. I loved the way they worked together running the farm and how they gradually started to grow closer. The side line story about Skye tracing her father was also lovely and I loved Carloss and Sandra her mothers best friend. I'm looking forward to reading Calum's story next as I loved him in book 2. This has been a wonderful series so far and I have really enjoyed it so far. I will be reading more by this author.

Georgina Troy’s Love Blooms at Hollyhock Farm is a gorgeous springtime escape that will make you smile.

The time has come for heavily pregnant Lettie to step back from farming. But with her family overseas, she needs someone to tend to the demands of Hollyhock Farm and help comes from two very unexpected places. Firefighter Joe is desperate to escape the confines of his small house ever since his mother moved in with her new husband. Running the farm in exchange for boarding in one of the spare rooms is just what the doctor ordered. Only, Joe isn’t going to be looking after Hollyhock Farm all by himself…

Newcomer Skye doesn’t know the first thing about farming, but she’s happy to muck in and is game for anything. However, this brand new adventure of hers immediately hits the wall when she finds herself clashing with Joe! The two of them cannot be in the same room for more than five seconds before they start butting heads. But could the tension between them be hiding something neither one of them was expecting: an attraction that simply cannot – and will not – be denied!

A comfy chair, a great big cup of tea, a clear schedule and a Georgina Troy romance is a little slice of heaven. Love Blooms at Hollyhock Farm is a charming, enjoyable and uplifting romantic read that I was completely enraptured by. Perfect for fans of feel-good contemporary romance, Love Blooms at Hollyhock Farm by Georgina Troy is just the thing to brighten up your day!

My Opinion

Love Blooms at Hollyhock Farm was such a lovely read and it was so nice to be back with some familiar characters. Joe and Skye don’t get off to a great start, but they really need to work together to help out Lettie and Brodie. Georgina Troy has packed a lot into this book. A great addition to the series.

Love Blooms at Hollyhock Farm swept me away to a picturesque countryside haven where Emma, a city girl with a green thumb, reluctantly inherits her estranged grandmother's flower farm. Between nosy (but lovable) neighbors, learning to milk an ornery goat, and the unexpected charm of Alex—the grumpy-but-gorgeous local botanist—Emma discovers that sometimes roots can grow where we least expect.
If books were hugs, Love Blooms at Hollyhock Farm would be the kind that comes with a warm cup of tea. The characters feel wonderfully real, from Emma's determined (yet adorably clumsy) efforts to revive the farm, to Alex’s enigmatic mix of snark and hidden vulnerability. The supporting cast—quirky neighbors, a mischievous cat, and an elderly matchmaker—adds layers of charm and heart.
I was very envious of Emma as I love gardening and would be very happy to inherit a flower farm. This is a book to make you dream of a different life and living into a sea of colours and perfumes.
This story is as much about finding love as it is about finding yourself. It’s a delightfully cozy read that'll leave you cheering for its richly fleshed-out characters and believing in the magic of second chances. Perfect for curling up on a rainy day.

In this the third book in the series Lettie is forced to take things easy due to complications in her pregnancy, so she moves in with Brodie in his small cottage. He arranges with a friend, Joe, to move in to look after the farm, meanwhile Lettie has also arranged for a friend of a friend, Skye, to also look after the farm as well. Unfortunately the two had already met and they hadn't made the best impression of each other. Joe is a local fireman missing his grandfather, who had passed away, Skye is trying to track down her father, of whom she only knows that he had met her mother on the island, who hadn't given her any more information before she sadly died apart from a notebook.
Again you needn't have read the previous two books in the series, but you would miss some of the back stories. In addition to the will they / won't they romance there is also the search for Skye's father with very minimal information. There is also the wonderful setting in Jersey, supporting friends and the farm as the background to the story. Well worth reading if you enjoy such romance, as I do.
I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley, however this did not influence my review of the book.

In this charming and cozy new romance novel, readers follow Lettie in need of someone to take over Hollyhock Farm on the island of Jersey. When firefight Joe offers to help run the farm in exchange for board and newcomer Skye takes the other room to help out on the farm, neither of them know how much work the farm is going to be, especially since they drive each other crazy. As the tension grows and they settle into their lives and fights on the farm, both Skye and Joe have to deal with this conflict one way or another -- moving on from the farm or falling in love. Charming, entertaining, and heartwarming, readers will love the beautiful rural atmosphere and the whimsy of Hollyhock Farm, and Troy has really brought this beautiful setting to life in incredible detail. Skye and Joe are both well-written and have great chemistry (even when it manifests into tension and conflict), and their respective character arcs and personalities are nice, complex, and realistic. The book really does a great job mixing tropes and plot points together, and readers will love the evolution of their relationship over the course of this cozy and charming new romance novel.

If you're looking for a feel-good heartwarming series, you need to look no further than the Hollyhock Farm series.
I've read all of the books in this series and other books by the author, and they never fail to make me smile and are the perfect relaxation read.
Taking place on the island of Jersey, the descriptions have me ready to visit and just kick off my shoes.
Once again, we see the inclusion of characters from other books in this series, and this always enriches the story.
This is Skye and Joe's story, they've both ended up at Hollyhock Farm for a different reason and their first meeting wasn't the greatest, but this doesn't last once they start to get to know each other.
Skye has always had a supportive granny in her life after her mother passed away when she was a young teen, but she needs some answers about an important issue she's been dwelling on.
I enjoyed seeing how supportive Joe is in her quest for answers and also enjoyed seeing the fun and supportive interaction between the other characters. I'm always up for reading a wonderful book by the author.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book.

Beautiful Jersey shines out in this return to the island. Fate brings together Joe and Skye who have their own reasons for wanting to live on Hollyhock Farm and help Lettie out as she nears the end of her pregnancy. You feel a little that Joe is too nice for his own good as he allows his mother and her new partner to take over his home and plead poverty. Skye is on the lookout for her unknown father and with very little to go on, is hoping that she will be able to track him down over the coming months. They both find a measure of peace and purpose in looking after the farm animals.
Family is a large focus of the story and as events unfold, several characters have a lot to process, with family dynamics spun off the scale. Both Joe and Skye start off on the wrong foot with each other and are initially horrified to find out that they have to live at the farm and work alongside each other. With a 'will they, won't they?' romance to follow, this makes for a very enjoyable summer read.
In short: can enemies become lovers?
Thanks to the publisher

So lovely to return to Jersey once more
To Hollyhock Farm and characters to adore.
Lettie is pregnant and needs to rest
So two volunteers take over, hoping for the best!

Brodie, her partner, asks Joe if he'll aid
Together new plans for them both are made.
Meanwhile a friend asks Skye to help too
When both turn up to stay, what will they do?

From inauspicious beginnings attraction builds, too,
Can they work together? What will they do?
As friendship develops and secrets are shared
Will romance develop or will they be too scared?

This story has romances, secrets and mystery
As Skye endeavours to uncover her family history.
Will this bring joy or heartbreak for them all
As events from the past others will recall.

Another heartwarming read set on Hollyhock Farm
Filled with angst, turmoil, mystery and charm.
A lovely read into which to escape and explore
Now I can't wait to read the next in series - book four!

For my copy of this wonderful book I say thank you

Love Blooms at Hollyhock Farm
by Georgina Troy

This is the second book I’ve read recently set on the stunning island of Jersey in the UK, and it certainly doesn’t disappoint. Skye arrives on the island with the purpose of finding her father and quickly gets involved in helping out at Hollyhock Farm. Pregnant Lettie needs to take a step back from farming, and since her parents are away, both she and her husband, Brodie, are seeking assistance.

Brodie turns to local firefighter Joe, who is navigating his own challenges with his mother moving in alongside her latest boyfriend. Joe recognises the need for some distance and is always ready to support a friend. However, he soon learns that the responsibility of helping out at Hollyhock Farm will not fall squarely on his own shoulders.

This book beautifully explores themes of friendship and self-discovery, leaving me eager to visit this breathtaking destination in person.

This is book three of The Hollyhock Farm Series and the first book I have read in this series, I would say it can be a standalone as I did not feel as though I missed too much. Though I loved this one and will be going back to read the previous two books. Lettie owns Hollyhock farm and it is all good but she needs to step back for a but as she is going to be a mum soon. But then she finds two people to help her out at the farm but they don’t get off on the right foot with each other. Will they be able to work out their differences as they both know how much the farm means to Lettie and would hate to let her down. I enjoyed reading about the farm aspects of it and the animals, I liked all the characters and the story felt warm and uplifting to me, I feel as though I want to go and help Lettie out and work on her farm for her too. This is my first book by Georgina and I look forward to reading more by her. It was a comfort read for me.

Love blooms in the most unexpected places…
When Lettie is due to give birth very soon she realises she needs to employ a helper to take over the day to day feeding/manual labour for her farm, but she is reluctant to do anything until Joe offers to help out and take the job during his holiday from work, at the same time Skye also arrives to do the same (neither are too happy to see each other after an incident the night before) but they make thing work.
Skye has a reason for coming to Jersey, but will she find everything she is looking for? Meanwhile, Skye and Joe work side by side sorting out the farm and in their spare time Joe gives her the guided tour of the island showing Skye all the best sights and places to eat, introducing her to his friends and family/colleagues.
What happens next, only time will tell …..

I really enjoyed this! Joe and Skye start off uncertain of one another, but as they work together to support their mutual friends, a beautiful story of friendship and understanding unfolds. The island setting is described so vividly—you feel like you're there with the characters, soaking in the landscape and farm life. While the romantic plot is a touch predictable, the multiple story threads, from family struggles to community ties, make this feel rich and well-rounded. Plus, all the characters are genuinely likeable and grow on you over time. A feel-good read with warmth, heart, and a satisfying ending.

When Joe and Skye meet for the first time, it is not exactly under the best of circumstances and sparks certainly fly, but not in a good way!

However, when Lettie needs someone to look after her farm animals whilst being heavily pregnant, Skye jumps at the chance to help out. Only thing is, Joe is part of the package as well, and will these two be able to put their differences aside and put the animals first? Skye is also on Jersey for a specific reason and there is quite the emotional scene in the book - I won't say what it is but it adds to the story.

This is such a lovely, sweet romance; I enjoyed every word of it!

It absolutely made me want to go to Jersey to see where it was set. It sounds so nice :)

4.5 stars from me.

Love Blooms at Hollyhock Farm is a simple story set in an island town. It is a story of self-discovery, discovering roots, found family and love.

Skye sets out to find her father, someone she has never met and all she has is her mother's diary and a few locations on the island. Joe, a firefighter, needs an escape from his own house where his mother has made herself comfortable. Skye and Joe end up at Hollyhock farm, determined to help Lettie out.

What follows is a wonderful story of initial skepticism, budding friendship and a journey to find Skye's father. Little did Skye realize, that she would find much more than she set out to in the first place. Joe chooses to help her and provides the emotional support that she needs. Though a simple story, the emotions are well brought out and touch a chord with the reader. The story is a pleasant light read, reminding us that even the simplest of things can be filled with a lot of love and friendship.

The third book in the Hollyhock Farm series, author Georgina Troy once again gives us a lovely story with characters that we cannot help but adore. I definitely recommend this book and series for those looking for a light romantic read!

Love Blooms at Hollyhock Farms is the cute third book in the Hollyhock Farm series. I loved being back in Jersey. Lettie is still working hard on the farm but her pregnancy means she needs to reduce her workload. With no one in her family to help, Lettie finds local firefighter Joe's offer to help as a godsend. Then in walks Skye, new to Jersey but ready to be all hands-in when she moves to Hollyhock Farm.

I love Skye and Joe. They are multi-dimensional and written well. The author's descriptions of Jersey are vivid and I felt like I was in the story with the characters.

Every book in this series has been truly amazing. I enjoyed the author's writing style, pacing of the story, and character development. I can't wait to read more by Georgina Troy.

With such series of different sets of the characters, I'm always looking forward to see which couple would be the feature of the new books.

Joe the firefighter! Book 2 had him fighting for the affection of the visitor to Hollyhock farm, and finally he got to stay in the farm in this instalment. With the farm's idyllic surroundings, who wouldn't fall in love!?

The continuation of Lettie's story as a side plot made the book all the better. Perhaps the next book would see baby Isla as a toddler!

Thanks Netgalley for the ARC!

Love Blooms at Hollyhock Farm is such a great return to a wonderful series, you don’t need to have read the previous books to enjoy this, but I highly recommend them because you’d be missing out on some great reads.

These books are perfect spring/summer month reads, to have a nice cool drink on a warm day and relax to joyful places. I am so happy there will be another book in this series as I always enjoy returning to Hollyhock Farm, or any of the books Georgina Troy writes.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Having read and enjoyed secretarial of Troy's books over time, I knew I wouldn't be disappointed by Love Blooms.

A return visit to a favourite bookish location is always welcome and it's lovely to catch up with familiar faces. Honestly, it's like catching up with friends.

Joe and Skye the farms new 'helping hands' were a great addition to the already colourful cast of characters and to see their friendship bloom and then a relationship begin to flourish was lovely.

It's a heartwarming, feel-good read and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute!

Skye heads to Jersey to search for her father. She also ends up offering to help care for the animals on the Hollyhock Farm. Unknown to her, Joe has also offered to help out for the next few weeks.

Despite the initially awkward introduction to each other, they end up becoming friends as they spend time together over the few weeks. Over chores and meals and multiple conversations, they end up learning about each other’s deepest secrets.

Overall, this was a cozy read and I enjoyed myself imagining how beautiful Jersey and the farm was.
