About the author

Kris Waldherr is an award-winning author and illustrator whose books for adults and children include Bad Princess, Doomed Queens, and The Book of Goddesses. The New Yorker praised Doomed Queens as “utterly satisfying” and “deliciously perverse.” The Book of Goddesses was a One Spirit/Book-of-the-Month Club’s Top Ten Most Popular Book. This has quickly become a favorite tarot deck. When I first purchased it, I was drawn to the beautiful artwork; however, now it has become an integral part of my divine feminine meditation practice. I enjoy drawing a new card when I feel moved to do so and display it where I can see it often. I then read about that Goddess and think about how I might relate that Goddess to my everyday life, both mundane and magickal. :)

Many years ago, a friend gifted The Goddess Tarot cards to me. It took a long time for me to feel connected to it, but it is now one of my most used decks. Up until now I didn’t have the book that goes with it, but I’m so glad to finally have it in my hands. The way Kris Waldherr writes about the goddesses makes me love these cards that much more. I can’t wait to read with these cards again now that I’ve finished this book. I highly recommend checking out this book if you have these cards or are interested in them!

I love this book. The illustration in it are so gorgeous and it makes tarot reading so much fun to do and learn about. It gives novice tarot readers clear and precise explanations of what each card means or is suppose to represent. It really is very cool.
