Peorth is back! But not back to normal. The appearance of her adorable child form receiving sensitive guffaws and considerate mocking from certain of the less mature goddesses in the household has returned, but having a new little kid around for Belldandy to try and dress is certainly cute, the sawn-off Fourth Goddess is not amused - especially when she realizes Velsper, the demon who put her into this short situation, is now himself a tiny black kitten who can't change Peorth back - no matter how much she shakes and throttles him! But Velsper does know someone who could... whispering to her the dread name of... Hild! Yes, Hild! Chief of the demon realm! Big shot of the regions below! Why is it no surprise Urd's known her since she was a little girl? In fa-a-a-ct...

Peorth is back!

This 21st volume covers chapters 130-135.

NEW FORMAT

While I have clear that Oh My Goddess! is a Japanese manga story, I've read it so far in its American re-published format by Dark Horse Comics, and that was kinda better, not because of the language but because in the American format you have kinda TWO Japanese volumes covering the double of story...

...why is that better beyond of having more story?

Well, it was it seems that sometimes in the Japanese format, a storyline was parted in two volumes, so you have to read two volumes to understand a whole single story...

...since it's hard to rate a volume like this one at hand if the story isn't complete.

PEORTH HAS A SMALL TROUBLE

Peorth, the fourth goddess is back but she isn't like she used to be, now she was de-aged to look like a small child, but retaining her adult memories. You can guess that she's not happy about it and she wants to get back to normal.

Peorth goes to Keiichi Morisato's home and asks for assistance to your favorite trio of goddesses, Belldandy, Urd and Skuld but none of them are able to revert the condition of the fourth goddess.

The solution would come out for an unlikely character (present during the whole process) pointing out to a new character (but having old roots in one of the trio of goddesses).

However, the trouble is far from being resolved since the conditions of the new character aren't accepted, leaving us to a cliffhanger to be solved (I hope so!) in the next volume.

This volume mostly focuses on Peorth who is revealed to have not returned to normal after Welsper's time curse was inflicted upon her. Needless to say, it's more complicated than they had thought it would be - especially when Welsper the cat begins to talk. Urd's origins are also revealed a little bit toward the end.

Peorth returns and hijinks ensue. It's amazing how fixing a problem introduced in a previous storyline is used properly to help dive into a character and their motivation. Peorth is proving to be more than the girl who came to crush on Keiichi and attempt to get under Belldandy's skin. It helps to showcase the skills the author has with their craft.

The Devil Inside: Peorth, in her 'kiddified' form, returns. She needs the person who did the spell on her to undo it, but that person is currently a cat staying with Keiichi and the others.

Go Your Own Way: Urd and Skuld decide to find the answer themselves. Belldandy helps them and Peorth gets bigger. Unfortunately, a lot bigger.

A Goddess Never Forgets: This is a very serious section where Keiichi talks to (a small size version) Peorth about how humans live so short and does it hurt the goddesses who they fall in love with.

The Cat That Stretched: Urd and Skuld have tried to come up with solutions for Peorth. The first one causes a rat go get very long legs. They analyze the spell that changed Peorth and find out it's a demonic spell with a heavenly program laid on top of it. Then suddenly the cat starts talking.

The Final Option: Apparently the Queen of the demons is the person they need to contact for help. Urd reveals that the CEO (the Queen) is her mother.

She's a Devil Woman: Her mother appears and she looks just like Urd except for a few details. She'll cure Peorth, but only if Urd joins the side of the demons.

The goddesses have to help Peorth get back to normal size, with hilarious consequences. They call in Urd's sexy demon mom to help out. Really liked this one, another good continuation of the series.
