I realize that this is part 1 of a 5 part series, so let's address that first. There wasn't enough here to make we want to read part 2. There's really no cliffhanger, and, we don't know enough about the man with two first names, Logan Mason or is it Mason Logan (I don't recall and I JUST READ THIS BOOK), to make me care.
I felt for Melissa when she's dumped by a dude who is clearly cowardly and then has the gall to say that they're incompatible after they'd been together for so long. I think this was supposed to be the author leading us into the idea that Mel is a submissive, but it wasn't really clear.
I have an extreme interest in Melissa's entry into a submissive "relationship" even though I felt that she didn't ask enough questions of either her ex-bf or the new dude to make me feel comfortable. I found this whole thing curious. BUT, I feel the stronger BDSM storylines out there seem to work best when there's established trust between the couple. How can knowing this dude for all of 2 hours (with little conversation) be sufficient? It's just enough to look into his eyes and know?? If found this hard to believe since she was in that relationship with that dude that she thought she knew but who couldn't please her. The implication is that Jason is not a Dominant, but then again, I'm not a submissive so what would I know?
