From what I've read in the "Fueled by Lust" series, this is hands down the best novel so far. With a well-developed plot full of suspense, action, romance, and lots of hot sexcapades, it's sure to get your gears grinding. Lucien and Tana are two terrific characters. Kudos to the author for including all the secondary characters (and I mean all of them), giving them significant presence without having to take anything away from the protagonists. I was really impressed with Tana as she came across as one of the most likeable heroines I've come across in quite some time. Like Lucien, she's strong, smart, and intelligent; able to lead and fight along-side the huge aliens. Of course Tana being an FBI agent makes it easier to understand who she is, and what makes Lucien and Tana a well-matched couple. No matter how strong and kick-ass Tana was, she still showed signs of vulnerability making her more realistic. As for Lucien, get ready to fall in love with the emperor. I loved how Lucien and Tana met, and how their relationship grew. And the sex, wow! They were sizzling hot. After a while even I got envious. The one thing I could've done without was the whole angst; Lucien thinking that Tana is better off without him. Why do we even need an angst? We all know they're still getting together. C'est la vie. In the end, I still give this novel five stars and highly recommend it to all those who love reading about huge, studly, gorgeous, well-hung aliens from outer space. Looks like my weekend will be full of sexy aliens.

Lucien is emperor to the Insedi. His love for his mate, who died along with the rest of the females, was never in any doubt. Being captured and made to work gave Lucien some time to think. When Tana is placed in the cell opposite to his, and she has been fighting with their captors, his protection instincts kick in. FBI agent Tana has been there longer, adn worked some things out. Now, all they need to do is get out of there. Lucien can't help but be protective, but Tana wont let him. When they are returned to the Insedi home world, and Tana returns home to Earth, Lucien finally realises what or rather WHO is most important to him.

this is the fourth book in this series, and loving them! What I particularly liked about this one, was, well Lucien! you get alot of Lucien, and his musings, and while he loved his previous mate, it wasnt obvious what kind of relationship they had, which, I have to say, wasnt much of one! He works himself up, and talks himself down, along with dealing with his growing feelings for Tana. Tana is feisty, as all the females in these books are ( would like to find a timid one, they can be a bit overwhelming, even to a reader!) and will deal with Lucien as she sees fit, whether he likes it or not!

Language breakdowns appear, well not breakdowns, just rather amusing misunderstandings!

The enemy king (still cant spell his name!) is also taken into slavery, and has a bit of a change of heart, and I wonder, should he get a book too??

AND GODS DAMN you Prater, let Ulixes and Kallon have their own book too! Those boys need each other, and you are kepping them apart! SO WRITE IT :-P

4.5 stars. Loved it, but not as much as Cato

**drug/dragged** :-P

I love these warriors, and now meeting their Emperor, I mean DANG! I am in LOVE, again… (Shhh, don’t tell my hubby :)) This book is more than just a HOT! HOT! HOT! Sci-Fi Erotic Romance; it has romance, action, drama, and suspense all rolled up in-between its covers.

At the end of Cato’s story we find out from Drusus that his father’s ship has disappeared and isn’t responding to any communication attempts. In Fueled by Lust: Lucien, we get to solve the mystery of what happened to the Emperor’s ship…

We start out aboard the Athenian, and are introduced to several members of the Elite Guard along with Makar and Baruch, the ship’s pilots. They, along with Emperor Lucien, are travelling to the planet Messor to collect Bellator, who they hope will take the vacant Protonecian throne. Chapter 2 is where the mystery behind the ship’s disappearance begins, and the result (revealed a few chapters later) is pretty wild. At the very end of Chapter 7 we are introduced to the woman who is meant to be Lucien’s other half. Well, her backside at least ;).

Lucien is everything you want in a Ruler. He is loyal, intelligent, focused, strong and compassionate. It’s no wonder that these Insedi males are all such great men. They have a great leader setting an amazing example for them. And, when Lucien does falter, his warriors are there to keep him level and remind him of what is important.

Tana is a logical, strong-willed, and fiery woman. She is fierce beyond compare and not afraid to get dirty to make sure the people she cares for are well taken care of. I love the fact that she says what she thinks, most of the time, and that in intense situations she uses logic instead of emotion to guide her.

The budding relationship between Tana and Lucien is full of moments that are just so sweet they make your teeth hurt, and other moments that make you want to take them both aside and smack the back of their head. The beginning for them is all about talking and observing body language to get to know each other, the first time they really get to touch, is in the shower…mmmhmmmm… In addition to the good times being had there, you get a taste of the level of compassion they both have. Tana and Lucien have a lot to learn about communication, but I guess that can be said for every couple in the history of forever….

In addition to the main characters, we learn a lot about the other characters and their personalities. I loved discovering that there is more to Maxim than just a big goof; the depth of his character is very impressive and I think I fell in love with him a little in this book!
Before being separated by this “adventure” there was a budding/flirty relationship between Kallon and Ulixes, and these poor guys are put through the ringer, separately, by Ms. Prater. Really sucks to suffer and not have the shoulder you really want to lean on available. Ulixes suffers greatly in this book and I cried for him both times I read this book. Kallon is a very deep feeling and caring guy, but he hasn’t learned the art of communication yet either. As a result he had me stressing quite a few times, and misty-eyed a couple others. Just talk to him!!! Ugh… This was what I kept shouting throughout the book

Overall, this book was Off the Charts Fantasticly Amazing! I loved every minute of it, even when I was mad at the characters for being buttheads. Another 5 Stars from me!

I am absolutely loving the Fueled by Lust series by Celeste Prater. Before Lucien, I thought that Cato was my favourite. Everyone's best bad boy made me go all gooey inside. But along came the Emperor and changed all that.

Lucien has been an interesting character in the three previous books - a warm, caring father obviously still grieving for his lost wife. Well, with this being his book, we get more chance to see what makes him tick. He is simply wonderful. He has a sense of humour that had me chuckling as I read his witty comments. He cares about his guards and basically all the people of his land. Does this make his a sap? Not at all. Does this make him perfect? A big fat no! I have been chuntering "dumbass" to my kindle more times reading Lucien than I have with the three previous books. He thinks he is doing the right thing but I just want to kick him.

Luckily, he has some good friends, including unexpected ones, to sort him out and then it's down to him to try and sort things out with Tana (which I won't go into detail with as you REALLY need to read this series for yourself!).

So many things to mention in this book but I will limit myself to a very short comment. Ulixes and Kallon!!!! Oh my!!!!

I'm thinking my house must be a tad dusty at the moment because my eyes have leaked on more than one occasion during the reading of this. I wasn't crying though, honest. It was dusty, yep, dust got in my eyes.

Lucien is sinfully sweet with smokin' hot scenes. Definitely the best Sci-Fi series I've read in a long time! And to answer the question at the end of the Synopsis - I definitely want one of these males!!! Love them.

what a amazing series, I've had the pleasure of reading all of them so far and I'm glad I dont have to pick a favorite. Its not really a stand alone, but you may be able to get the story just reading this book. But I'd recommend reading the series.
I really enjoyed this book, mainly because the father is one of the main characters. It was really nice seeing her move the story like that. In the books before you were able to get a feel for Lucien, his personality how he ruled. In his own book, you will get to see him as a man on top of being a leader. It was fun to watch him battle his feelings. Tana played her part amazingly also not to shocked about aliens on a whole, sassy and independent. I loved her personality and how she got along with the other guards. My two favorite secondary characters and I hope they will eventually get their own books is Maxium and Kallon. Maxium and Kallon are very different in personalities... but their love of their world, friends and family is seen. I think they both helped a lot in making of this story.
A few hot yummie scenes, but I'd say the story line kept the book interesting and wanting to read.
The important lesson... the past is called the past for a reason, careful you dont use it to muck up your future. Enjoy

Continuing to enjoy this series. Absolutely loved that the author took the characters out into the universe. Lucien and Tana's relationship was so fun to read about. Tana is one strong woman. She and Lucien fit perfectly together. The sex is off the charts and so well written. Lucien is so sexy and I WANT ONE OF THESE INSEDI WARRIOR's. The author brings in some new characters and I can't wait to find out what happens to them too. The scene with Ulixes...you have got to read this. I cried. Can't wait for more in this series!!!

I'd give this book a 3 and 1/2 if I could. I'm positive that I would have liked it more if I had read the previous books first. There were many species of aliens and talk of characters from the previous books.

There was a terrific leading man, Lucien and the heroine was rather kick a**!

If you like a lot of action or aliens, give this series a go. Just be sure to read the books in order.
