Ethan Kovac loves being an actor, loves his two co-stars on his new sitcom One Way or Another. He and Samantha Jensen got their start as kids together, and now she's a superstar. Isaac Duncan is a great guy, but he's tall, dark, and unfortunately for Ethan, straight.

Acting's the fun part. The promos make him crazy, like having to attend the network's 'upfront', where they sell advertisers on new shows. But at the after party, when he and Isaac start bantering for the reporters, his thoughts take a turn for the naughty, especially every time Isaac wraps his arm around him for photo ops.

One steamy encounter in a restroom and Ethan discovers that Isaac isn't completely straight… but is it a one night engagement, or does Isaac have more on his mind than the latest script?

Jade Cain writes what turns her on: hot men in uniform, confident women who know what they need, the heady feeling of lust when you realize you're about to get everything you ever wanted. She writes (and reads) about lovers of all genders who laugh together--and sometimes at each other. Sex is fun, and often silly, and her works celebrate that humor alongside the heat.

Lights, Camera, Celebrity Affair!
This is either going to be awkward as hell, or it's going to be the gay equivalent of a letter to Penthouse...
What an adorable and sexy start! I'm incredibly excited to read the rest of the One Way or Another series. So much potential here!

Two actors on a new hit sitcom - one is gay (but not out) the other is straight (sort of) and their romance can cause all sorts of problems. Hollywood isn't as open as it seems, and the media is always looking for a new piece of gossip.

Ethan Kovac
Today. He can give himself today. They'll eat, they'll maybe go another round, maybe Isaac will even stay the night, but then it has to stop. Just... not yet.
Ethan is a former Disney heartthrob all grown up. He's just landed a role on one of the year's most hotly anticipated sitcoms with a former Disney Co-star. He's playing her gay BFF which doesn't require much acting on his part.

Ethan is gay, but his management team has convinced him that coming out would ruin his career. Being in the spotlight is hard enough without the tabloids raking him over the coals for his sexuality, so he keeps it under wraps.

Isaac Duncan
"Gotta be hard, coasting on nothing but good looks and talent."
Isaac plays the hunky new neighbor on the One Way or Another sitcom, and has been starring in Ethan's sexual fantasies since they began filming and attending publicity events. Unfortunately, Isaac is off-limits...
1. He's straight
(not that Ethan has a problem seducing straight-boys)
2. They work together
(that's an awkward situation Ethan would rather avoid)

When it turns out that his other co-star Isaac might become his love-interest on the show, Ethan is elated... And more than a little worried...

The banter between Ethan and Isaac has always been playful and easy, but things take a turn for the serious when Ethan discovers that Isaac isn't as straight as he first thought.

Upfront is the story of how these to men met and fell into bed... We'll just have to read the rest of the series to find out how this goes!

Hiding your secret homosexual workplace interracial romance from the tabloids?
Yeah, sure...
Good luck with that boys!

My only complaint so far with this series: The third person/present/subjective narration is a bit awkward. Too many "he"s in an MM story to be able to support that style of narration. Not a huge deal, but I know many readers are pretty serious about what narration styles they'll read, so there you go...

***I read this book as part of the One Way or Another Omnibus which was provided to me by the Author in exchange for an honest review***

Well, that certainly moved right along! And might I say, that was quite an abrupt ending! Yes, it was short and ended out of the blue... but it was good! I enjoyed it, although, I would have liked to have seen more of Sam, but it was hard enough cramming two MCs into 31 pages... not a lot of room for expanding secondary characters! (bummer) I am hoping to jump right into the second installment of this series... Ms. Cain has me curious as to where she is going to take the guys from here! :D

The main characters have effortless charm and exchange easy banter. The great chemistry goes without saying! I'm looking forward to how they deal with the complications of dating a co-star, the closet, the media, etc.

Almost a PWP but the writing was good enough to hold my attention and I'm curious enough to see where things go to consider buying the rest of the series.
