1 creep. 2 bodyguards. 3 men who change Molly’s life forever.
Guitar player Molly Davis is taunted with disturbing gifts by some creep she hopes like heck is a harmless, misguided fan. The owner of the bar where her band plays isn’t taking any chances, however, and hires Gabe Cooper and Caleb “Ram” Ramsey to stand guard over Molly and the rest of the band.
Cooper is all business and doesn’t mess with Molly’s emotions. She can handle that. Ram is a different story. He’s gorgeous, has a good heart, and is sometimes infuriating. He doesn’t take Molly’s crap, giving him the potential to be the first man to shove his way through her stubbornness and into her life.
But a violent attack proves the creep isn’t going away. And that almost wrecks everything.

Thanks to the author who gave me an e-copy of this story in exchange for an honest review.
Molly Davis has some issues from the past; however, she doesn't focus on them and focuses on the future. Being a teacher and also being in a band and playing guitar with her friends have been the two things in her life that have been constant and have made her happy. One night though, after finishing playing at the regular bar they always play at, Molly realizes that someone left her an ominous "present." Thinking that it's just a joke, she brushes it off until she keeps receiving creepy gifts. When she does, her friend and the club owner hires some bodyguards to keep her safe. Gabe Cooper and Caleb Ramsey couldn't be more opposite of one another and they both are attractive in their own ways. Attraction occurs between all three and soon Molly is left wondering who this creep that keeps sending her gifts is and which guy is more for her.
That was Molly the whole time during the course of the story and I found her personality to be hilarious! I just enjoyed her personality sooo much! She's one of the more likable girl main characters that I have read about and honestly she provided the book with humor. She was so straightforward and honest about everything towards everyone that I couldn't help but applaud her for everything that she did. She's also fiesty and fierce, a very strong girl and when the most action packed scene occured, I was so scared for her, but also excited that she wasn't just a girl who let her "knight in shining armor" rescue her. She could hold her own and I appreciated that fact. The whole pretense that there was someone who was stalking her seriously creeped me out. At times, I felt that there were goosebumps on my arms when those scenes occured. If I was Molly, I would've been terrified to the point of wanting to just hide from everything, but she was strong and didn't want to showing how brave she was even though everything about this creep did scare all her wits.
I liked how the author didn't just focus on the "Creep" storyline though and allowed Molly to continue with her life as she normally does. The storyline progresses really well and I enjoyed every aspect of it. There were no standstills or fillers; it wasn't filled with Molly being scared or hiding from the creep; she was allowed to continue on living her life and that made the book more enjoyable since it is sometimes annoying to read about the same thing over and over again. I really liked Caleb and Cooper because they were both willing to help Molly in their own ways even though Cooper was more passive than aggresive which was the opposite of Caleb. Caleb was just darling though! Oh my goodness, he was just so amazing towards Molly, caring about her, so cute and adorable. Agh! I just wanted to hug him haha! I just can't wait for the next book because I just want to find out more about the creep.
30 year old Molly Davis is a member of the country band “The Song Wreckers”. The band is highly successful and has a strong fan base. When bizarre items are left on Molly’s car during their performances at Brett’s Bar is this merely a fan gone too far, or something more sinister? Brett decides to contact a security firm and arrange bodyguards for Molly while she is performing at the bar. Enter hunky Caleb (Ram) Ramsey. There is an instant attraction between them but Molly doesn’t have the time or the emotional energy for a relationship at the moment. She needs to mend the strained relationship with her mother. Her father has decided to come back into her life. And some creep is stalking her.
Almost wrecked, the first novel in the Song Wreckers Series is a mixture of romance and suspense. Molly is a kick-ass protagonist who will have wide appeal to those that like their female protagonists strong and feisty. She is aggressive, outspoken and overconfident. A “one of the boys” type of girl. While she struggles to make a commitment she is happy to have sex with no strings attached. The story follows Molly’s highs and lows as she moves forward in her music career, tries to mend the emotional rift with her mother and agonises over the fact that her father suddenly wants her back in his life. The story had an element of romantic suspense about whether the relationship between Molly and Ram would eventuate, also the fearful suspense of the stalker, never knowing when he would strike again or how far he would go. I would have liked to have seen the stalker issue resolved in this book. Would also like to read more on the other members of the band! Looking forward to reading the next book in the series! 3.5 stars
After reading this book I was afraid that no review would ever be good enough so with that in mind my review is as follows:
Molly along with her band mates of The Song Wreckers are living quite the life. A routine gig at k e their favorite bars and getting to play the music they loved is their life. When Molly starts getting "gifts" left for her the bars owner Brett hires a security team for the band. Cooper and Ram enter her world. Ram is the calm and collected one where Cooper is all bad ass complex. Molly isn't happy about the arrangements but goes along to make her best friend, Katie and band mates happy.
The months go by and her stalkers deems very cunning. She and Ram have a friendship wanna be something more thing going on. No one can catch a lead as to her this stalker is.
Her family relationships are crazy with her mom only caring for herself and her dad suddenly wanting to get to know her. Add on her finding out that Nashville wants her to be a song writer and her life get really crazy.
Then she is attacked. Ram and Cooper are furious because one of their me let the ball drop. Things get heated and the hunt for this stalker is in full mode.
Molly eventually gets back to her crazy life and throws herself into work. When her dad invites her to his wedding, she agrees and ask Cooper to go with her. While on the trip, the two end up starting a friends with benefits kind of relationship. This continues and when Ram finds out he is devastated. The she finds out she is pregnant and dismisses Cooper of any responsibility and he just lets her. Ram becomes a solid in her life and once they both admit their feelings for each other, Ram ask her to marry him. Twins are born and it seems like Molly may get her happy ending after all. One thing lingers in her thoughts and that is her stalker still hasn't been caught.

I actually read book two – “Almost Ordinary” – first, but loved the story and the main character Molly so much that I just had to know how her and Caleb’s unusual story began. As with book two, I absolutely loved Molly’s ‘voice:’ she is funny, self-conscious, sarcastic, tough and loving all at the same time. Less than anything Molly wants to be dependent on other people and hates to be the ‘charity case,’ even though the reason for everyone’s overprotecting attitude is more than justified. A member of a local band, Molly gets stalked by the Creep, who, after leaving several ‘messages’ took it to the physical level almost killing his victim. I loved how much a fighter Molly was. Her, struggling with her fears and getting her life under control after the attack, is an inspiration for all the violence victims out there. I sincerely admired her strong-willed attitude and desire to keep on living no matter what. Her chemistry with Caleb was more than obvious from the very beginning, and even though Molly went a little bit down the wrong path with the wrong guy (I won’t give away the plot), the ending was absolutely perfect. A really compelling story with a strong leading character who you will fall in love with. Highly recommended!
Molly is strong character, you root for her all the way. However, I was as crushed as Ram was when she made some decisions that I thought were definitely the wrong ones. Having said that, we all make poor decisions from time to time and the consequences indeed almost wreck us. It's how you get up and keep going that makes the difference. Despite all the things that happen to her - being stalked by a crazy fan is surely no picnic, especially when the person becomes an assailant - Molly picks herself up and gets on with her life. What appears to be a happy ending, unfortunately is suspect as the fan has not been caught and I expect this story to continue.
I love books about strong independent women. Molly at age thirty has guts and a passion for her music that overflows into her life. In Almost Wrecked (The Song Wreckers Book 1,) author, Crystal Firsdon’s passion for writing fills every page with a fast paced modern romance complete with humour and suspense. What more could you ask for in a great romance read? Five star worthy. I loved it.
What a wonderful story. I just loved it. The author's voice is so natural and smooth that I couldn't put the book down. I'm happy that this is book one. Eager to get #2.
Great book! The characters come to life and feel real. Stron the independent woman! Looking forward to the next book! Got to know more! Can I please be Molly's bff!
