3.5 Stars!

It's always a gamble when you try a new author. But I was needing something quick and this was on KU.

This box set contained three novellas, all of which were similar in nature. One MC that was reluctant on the relationship front and one that wasn't. All three had a minor conflict at the end as a result of the reluctant MC.

Nothing that was dragged out. The conflict lasted a page or so. All very easy reads, with nice steam. A cheesy line here or there. Nothing wowing but fit what I was looking for at the time.

A sweetly sensual read of three m/m romances. Sexy and charming. Well crafted. Great writing.

I've read several M/M romances. Some have humor, others drama and a couple had an episode or two of violence. The violence I couldn't take. I was pleased to find this series full of emotion, fear of acceptance, and humor. All three short stories were enjoyable. Kathleen Lee is a fabulous writer, drawing the reader into the hearts and minds of men who live and love in a different way. I'll be searching for more of her work.

Sweet, fast reads all following a similar formula of one reluctant man and one devoted man determined to wear the wary one down. Good news is that the formula works for this novella set.

3 fast, great, and sexy short stories, each with a comfort/overcoming the past themes but with different twists. All stories are satisfying with pretty solid HEA'S.

I really enjoyed this triple whammy! Some hot m/m action that also loving, tender, sweet and funny. I enjoyed all three short stories, but if I had to name my favorite its the first one about the guy whose friend posts an ad in the paper.

All three are well written and thought out though. My only gripe is that they're not long enough... I want more lol

The characters cross the generation gap. And, Lee does as great a job writing characters who are young as he does the older characters.

Three novella bundle.

Male seeking male:
Greg's best friend and flat-mate Rachel, puts an ad in in the local people seeking a man to help him as he just "come out." Jack, lives across the hall and applies for the position. Both need very different things from this and neither have the same expectations of the future.

The Trouble with Trouble:
Gary owns a bar called "Trouble". Keeps himself to himself and backs away from any form of relationship or attachment. Brock has recently moved to the area and gone into business with two of his friends and makes a beeline for Gary.

Stripping the pain:
Gabe and Malcolm have been friends for 10 years and gone into business together. Gabe has unrequited love for Malcolm but hides it after they made a pact never to act on anything than friendship....then Malcolm changes his mind. There is some serious baggage from the past, which is still affecting Gabe and so he approaches the relationship hesitantly and then bolts to the door at the first sign of an issue.

All three novella's have a little angst, miscommunication issues and one of the MC's being wary and questioning - all affected by a past deed or relationship issue. All ends on HFN's. Quick entertaining reads.

Nice trilogy of short stories

There's a nice mixture of humour and heavy in these three short stories from Kathleen Lee. This is the first set I've read from Lee and I enjoyed each one for different reasons.
Book one is a sweet tale of a bisexual man having his first same sex experience with the kind guy rosette hall who he ends up falling for.
Book two was probably my favourite with a guy who wouldn't give up on the man he fancied and who slowly overcame all his fears and worries.
Book three was the most angst but even that had enough of the lighter moments to balance things out.

Good reads

This review is just for the first 2 stories (I read the other story and reviewed separately months ago).

For short stories they were really good. I will definitely be looking for more by this author.
