Bright Sheldon should be living life on top, married to the love of her life, NBA player Larry Lane, and raising their twin daughters. Instead, her conniving ways have caught up to her full speed, leaving her face down on the pavement. Bright has reached the lowest point in her life, and is forced to crawl before she can walk again. Bright will do anything to survive and provide for herself and family.
But this time, she won't have to do it alone. Her brother Cordell steps up and beats the streets of Long Beach hard, grinding to get their family back on track. Life is not all sunshine and roses for Bright, who quickly returns to her scandalous ways, which includes scheming a custody plot to use her children as leverage against Larry. Ice plots his revenge, and Treasure waits for her chance to do further damage to her ex-best friend. In the midst of all the chaos, Bright finds herself in love again.
Will Bright Sheldon grow from her experiences and strive to be a better person? Or will this just be the tip of the iceberg to mass destruction?
Mimi Renee California native born in Compton and raised in Long Beach California, Mimi Renee recalls that reading and writing has always been her passion from as far back as she could remember. As a young girl she read aloud to herself and others for fun and enjoyed volunteering to stand up to and read out loud in front of class as much as she could. During her sophomore year in high school at David Starr Jordan High in north Long Beach, Mimi learned that she was pregnant and was soon transferred to a continuation school to finish her high school term out at Will Reid continuation, in a special program for pregnant minors.
Getting her life on track as a mother and not able to hang out with friends like she had in the past, Mimi reclaimed her passion for reading. She read countless books of various genres in her spare time. A few of her favorite authors are; Sister Souljah, Terry McMillan, Teri Woods, Nikki Turner, Shannon Holmes, Mary B. Morrison and Mary Monroe. Going back to her grass roots of scribed art suddenly Mimi had become inspired to put her passion for writing into action. After writing her first line on the page of her notebook, she was hooked.
I have been waiting for the sequel to Mimi Renee's " Pretty Bright" for quite some time now and I must say... the wait was well worth it!Pretty Bright 2 picks up right after the events of part one.Just when you think Bright has saw the err of her ways, you remember just who you're dealing with! Soon Bright is back to her old tricks....and if you know Bright like I know Bright then you know that means Mo money, Mo problems. With a few new characters, some hell no moments, and plot twists that will take your breath away, it's safe to say Bright Sheldon is back! This book had me on the edge of my seat! The only thing I can ask now is....when can I expect part 3? 5 stars!!
This book is an excellent read. I loved it from page one to the very last page. It was well edited the character development was on point and all kinds of twists and turns that you would never see coming. Although I hated Bright to the fullest in book one but after reading this book I got a new found feeling for her which is admiration. This book is straight fiyah. Don't cheat yourself by not coping this book. It's well work the price. I was so sleepy last night but I just couldn't put it down. Once you start you won't either. Great jobs Mimi keep up the great work. I'm looking forward to part three.
this book was FYIAH!!!! i cant believe the twist n mouth dropping prts. I didnt agree to Bright way of getting her income but i have to give it to her she was about her paper n she was getting plenty of it. I felt bad for her mom she was suffering bad but her and her daughter Rayonna believe n God n their prayers was answered. This was such a good book loved it.....
This series has potential, but the protagonist, Bright, seems to repeatedly make the same mistakes without learning from them. It would be interesting to see if in the next installment, she finally gains the insight to make positive changes before it's too late. Readers are likely eager to discover when the next chapter in this story will be released.
Mimi Renee has delivered again. In this second part, we have Bright still up to her scandalous way, trying to get some payback on everyone. Bright finds herself waist deep in b.s. and she doesn't know how to get out of it. Bright, Cordell, and Deja are all dysfunctional. Even though they love one another, they still continue to put their poor mama and themselves through hell!! Bright loves money and will get it by any means, doesn't matter if she has to lie, cheat, scheme. Money is her motivation!! but it all means nothing when she finds out that she doesn't have the thing she needs and wants the most!
Pretty Bright 2 by Mimi Renee, picks up where book 1 left off. The main character, Bright, has not changed. She is continuously looking for new bosses, making money, enemies and fighting for her family; that is, all except her children. The story is addicting, well paced, developed and will leave you on the edge of your seat. My heart went out to the young character Tanisha, who experienced many things, a teenager never should. I did not have a favorite character; however, my least favorite is Cordell. The author did an awesome job!! This read is FIRE!!! Five stars all the way!! Kudos author Mimi Renee!!!
Bright.....bright....bright Smh. One minute I hate this chick and I want to snatched her up and put my hands on her. The next minute I feel sorry for her and want to grab her, rub her hair and hug her. She 's so young, ignorant and misguided but she has a way of getting into your heart and making you feel her pain. I loved this book even more than part 1 and I cant wait until part 3 bc the ending had my mouth wide open. I really hope Bright grows up and makes some changes in her life bc I really want to stop hating her
WOW!! Another well written story by Mimi Renee. I have to say she out did herself with this one. Just when I thought that Bright was self centered and cared about no one but herself, I get a change of heart. I gained a lot of respect for her in part 2. Her family truly means the world to her. Well written I can't wait for part 3.
I was in like awwww!!!! The family was all mess up in the head but God will work in your favor. Now the twins are missing OMG I can't wait till part 3 comes out.Cordell I hated when him and his girl get on the drugs and she really got turn out on CRACK.....Poor mama she did and 360 all the away around it is and must read.
This book was good I don't think it was as grimy as the first one but it had it's fair share of twist and turns, I think the only thing that was lacking was that you really don't know how things really ended for Bright some loose ends were tied in the Deadly Decisions series but I'm hoping for a part three for this book.
This chick is scandalous she uses men for money and does not discriminate she even slept with her best friends 2 men, well all that tricking got her sent to three hospital 3 times now she finally learned her lesson and trying to be in her twins life she finds out her kids have been kidnapped
Another awesome read. This book continued where it left off in part 1. I'm glad I had read Deadly Decisions 1&2 because everything tied in together. I'm looking forward to PB3 and ICE better not hurt those twins.
Bright was definitely a force to be reckoned with!! This book or characters I should say were scandalous all the way through!! Bright was bated by many!! Hopefully I am correct when saying there will be a part 3!!Hhhmmmmm
I loved Pretty Bright part I, but Pretty Bright 2 picks right up. There was drama as soon as the book started. Very good read, I'm looking forward to part 3.
WOW A TRUE PAGE TURNER READ FOR PART 3 TO SEE IF BRIGHT FAMILY GET A TRUE BRAKE .. IT GOES 2 SHOW THE THINGS SO DO MAY NOT COME BAQ TO YOU BUT SOMEBODY NEAR YOU 2 MAKE YOU FEEL THE PAIN
This, just like the first was a very good read. My issue is how it ended without a to be continued or anything. Other than that I would have given it 5 stars.
