A young project assassin who emulates Barbie (the doll) to the point that she dons blonde wigs, wears tutu & contacts and changes her legal name... to what?? Barbie of course! Add running an escort service along with her escalating mental disorder and **poof** Nickerson Barbie
During the first two chapters I kept saying to myself "What the hell am I reading?" It came off as pure nonsense and I had to remember that I was reading this for entertainment and I should view it as exactly that. Halfway through I was hooked and couldnt wait to find out what happened next. Barbie has some serious issues and will destroy anyone who gets in the way of her "reality". This is my first book by this author and I must say she is ver imaginative. Nickerson Barbie has become one of the best books I read so far this year. I very much enjoyed reading this book.A group of friends were reading it together and we have a ball emailing and texting as we read the book.
Nickerson Barbie is a page turning book full of crazy. If you like chicks who are crazy this book is for you. Nickerson Barbie is the best crazy yet...I mean a real certified nut...
Barbie is mentally disturbed in the head and all the demons in her head is making her want to lash out on people. Barbie will harm anyone and have no feeling of regret afterwards. You can't go against her because she will snap in a heart beat.
In the storyline you will meet Nephew of whom Barbie falls in love with and Barbie's two good friend
Miracle and Val. Barbie will take each of them thru issues that you will not believe.
The characters are so well developed. The story line is one of the best that I have read.
You will never know what Barbie will do next.

WOW!
I bought this book when it was first released and never got around to reading it. I'm mad that I let such an excellent story sit so long! Barbie is one of those over the top pyschos that you love and hate simultaneously. When I started reading I told myself I wouldn't read the next book. But Mimi Renee left me no choice but to continue. Great work Mimi Renee!

This chick is a real psycho. I didn't pick up on the fact that she was tied into Mimi Renee's other series until later in the book though. Mainly because I haven't finished the first series yet. There was enough editing issues to make it distracting, but it was otherwise a good psycho read. I'll read the rest of the series when I have time.

1Nickerson Barbie (Bad Seed) by. Mimi Renee I have had Author Mimi Renee on my radar for a while I just did not know which one of her books I wanted to start with. Than Nickerson Barbie popped up in my recommending, I didn’t even read what it was about my thought was this is going to either be very good or very bad.
A real life hood Barbie doll? Is she a side chick, is she a thot? ...I started reading and could not stop…. babbbbby I was hooked. She was not just a pretty girl that got money, she was a boss. And you did not f***ed with Nickerson Barbie. She is a fashion Icon in her hood and will fight or kill with no remorse. This book has all the elements that make for a great urban fiction novel. You will read about the hoods main players, love hate and mental illness.

The Nickerson Barbie is back!! If you read the Barbie's debut in the anthology "I'd Rather Be Single" then you should pick up Nickerson Barbie, and even if you havent read her part in the anthology you can still pick the book up and have a full understanding of her. Barbie really thinks that she is a Barbie doll. Young, beautiful and wearing platinum wigs and pink tutus you would think this Barbie is sweet and nice, but this Barbie doll is anything sweet. Having grown up in the Nickerson projects she has made a name for herself in the streets. Everyone in Watts knows Barbie for having a dark side, being cruel, coldhearted and just a monster at times. Barbie is also known for having a few screws missing. When Barbie falls in love with a big time boss will their love be strong enough to keep them together?
Since I read the anthology I knew Barbie needed her own book and I am glad Mimi decided to write a full length on her. Barbie is really crazy, she can be sweet when she wants to be but when she is off she is way off. When it comes to her business shes a little more together but when it comes to her life she starts to hear things that throw her off. Barbie is cute and glamours but if you tick her off or mess with her in any way she snaps and then she is out for blood. Being off also makes her a drama queen which gets in her way in the book, and gets her in trouble. All Barbie really wants is to be accepted in the world and loved unconditionally. Theres drama, secrets and lies and world that only Barbie understands. The relationship that blossoms in the novel with Nep seems to work very well for Barbie in some ways. Mimi Renee doesn't disappoint! Every last one of her books that I've read, have been bangers! Nickerson Barbie aka Michelle is a real life Barbie that is on the same ish that Nicki Minaj be on. She wears platinum blonde wigs, dresses like a Barbie and even changed her name legally to Barbie. The only thing is Barbie is certified crazy & dangerous.
She will kill you without any remorse, she will be threaten you at the drop of the hat and then the next second go back to being her friend. She hears voices in her head that leads her astray, but then she gets with her best friend Nephew and starts to change. Nephew(who just happens to be Barbie's cousins baby daddy) comes into her world and showers her with attention and love...Barbie starts to realize that she can lead a normal life with him, that is until Nephew does the NO..NO...now Barbie's unstable side comes to surface and no telling if it will be deadly or not!
I love the supporting characters of this book. Miracle and Val definitely play a keynote here as well. The supporting characters help bring out the main characters personalities...

Nickerson Barbie by MiMi Renee, focuses on main character, Michelle AKA Barbie, who enjoys wearing long blond wigs to imitate the doll Barbie. At the age of 8, Barbie started hearing voices in her head. She was instructed to ignore them and pray. As a young adult, Barbie is active in many crimes; which includes, murderer, hustler, pimp, drug traffic, batterer and hit-man. Barbie argues continuous with the voices in her head. Despite her mental health and crimes, she finds love. This is a very fun, well developed and captivating story. The writing is awesome. I especially enjoyed parts related to Barbie's wig collections. My favorite character is Valarie. Her responses to Barbie are hilarious. This book is 5 stars. It is highly recommended. I am anticipating Nickerson Barbie 2. Kudos Author MiMi Renee!

While Barbie may truly adore a good Barbie doll and dresses like Barbie, in no way is she truly like Barbie. She is often known as Nickerson Barbie due to the Nickerson projects in which she was raised. Most people know that Barbie is truly demented and in need of serious help. However, by the time other people learn who Barbie truly is it may be too late.
Even though I did not read about Barbie in the previous anthology I'd Rather Be Single, I don't think I missed much of the story. I was able to start at this book and still follow the story. Barbie was truly something special and not in a good way. I enjoyed reading this book and I plan to continue with the series to see just what Barbie does next.

I tell you MiMi Renee has FIYAH leaking from her pen!!! I just can't believe how amazing the Nickerson Barbie story was. And Nephew! Oh WOW!! That dude makes my heart skip a beat. I loved his swagger! Talking about BOSS! I'm telling you dude can and was getting it! Poor Barbie. :( Her mind was so messed up. There were times where I didn't know if she needed to be arrested, commited or just given a hug. The ending was an attention grabber. Don't want to spoil it for my fellow readers, but I will say it ended with a BOOM BOOM BOOM, so I'm on to part two to see if anyone got hit or if something blew up. If you hadn't read this 5 star banger, then you are depriving yourself! Hats off to MiMi Renee. The Writer Chic has done it again!!!

Some people don't believe dung stinks until they smell it. So is the case with Barbie's girls and man, silly rabbits. They think the Watts riot was something. It's about to be smoke in the city and it pushes a Red Corvette. So looking forward to part 2.

Wow!! Barbie is a straight basket case really. The things this girl does. She is not to be crossed. The mention of KC In the book got me super excited. Keisha Cones is the shit. I have a feeling that we'll see more of KC in part 2. The relationship with Barbie and Nephew it's kinda cute. He keeps her in line most of the time, but boy does he have his ways. Miracle and Valerie are Barbies only friends and at times I wonder why they still mess with her, her ass is two kinds if KraZy. Overall a very good book. The ending left me with my mouth hanging wide open. I can't wait for part 2.

I had been waiting for "Nickerson Barbie" by Mimi Renee forever! I'm glad to say she did not disappoint! "Nickerson Barbie"...what can I say? It was definitely worth the wait! I think we can all agree that Barbie is mentally disturbed. Mimi took us on a roller coaster ride from the beginning of the book all the way to the very last page. I cannot wait until the next part. 5 stars!

Im a fan of Mimi Renee's writing style and work so I was super excited to read her latest book "Nickerson Barbie". Although I didn't love Barbie as much as I love/hate Bright (Pretty Bright), I was definitely not disappointed in this book . It was a quick and interesting read and trust me there was never a dull moment. That Barbie chick was a certified psycho and the things that she came up with in her head were unbelievable at times. I'm excited to find out what she's going to get into next!!

This book was definitely a page turner. I would definitely read it again. Barbie is a chick from the hood that has mental problems, a few illegal side hustles, and a desire to be loved. Her life is a rollercoaster. Without her meds she tries to fight the demons in her head. She isn't that crazy though. I enjoyed this book. The ending left me hanging, feening for the sequel. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a good urban fiction book.

Just finished Reading Nickerson Barbie and I loved it.Read all of Mimi Renee Books and they just Keep getting Better.Barbie Aka Michelle was one crazy female.Some chapters you will love her and some chapters you will say she needs to be committed in a padded room wearing a straight jacket..lol love me some Nephew he was my favorite!! Now on to part 2.

This book was a book challenge with my partner for 30 books 90 day. Sure had me turning pages wanted to know what was going to happen next. Knowing that I need to be sleep have to put in 10 hour shift the next day, lol that sure did not change a thing till my eyes could not focus any longer. My final words " BOOM BOOM"
