Was a beautiful story of lost love, finding your own strength, and changing the narriative. That is exactly what Leto did after a man who she was falling for violated her by drugging her. In the end, that man got what he deserved and she was able to reconnect with the one that got away….. Tobias. Her best friend. Who disappeared to save her.

What in the world did I just read 😭 I am so so frustrated, I have my patient at wits ends while reading this book 😮‍💨 what is she is thinking while doing this 😫
So this book is about a girl who falls for the wrong guy and she wants to take revenge on him because he a*saulted her, took vintage of her, shared her pictures and videos with other men and he dr*gged her did things to her and she want yk take revenge. And to be honest I don't think I should call it revenge, if you have to take revenge take it as Lana Myers did. That's what he deserves but what did she do she wanted to make him fall for him and when he proposes she wants to reject him and say "haha, you thought I was in love, hehe got you, I don't love you I reject you" she was making him fall for her and throughout the book I mean like 80% of the book she was trapping him into falling for her, making out with him, having physical relationship with him and using him as her "physical toy". And she is doing it all in front of the guy, the childhood best friend, the love for life Tobias. This poor guy has to see everything in front of him happening. She doesn't want to be protected she doesn't want to be supported and why, because she is planning for revenge and that Revenge is something hilarious, like he is the guy who is in the cartel, Who k*lls people deals with we*pons, uses dr*gs he is the most violent kind of guy and the Revenge plan was to take advantage of him because he took advantage of her. and what happened at the end she was r*ped by him assa*lted physically and treated brutally. I really didn't get it the man who can kill people would fall for her was *her plan* Almost 80% of the book she is with in this wrong relationship with him and having her moments with Tobias (it is called cheating) and she also has this weird relationship with her boss (she is secretary of course) this book has me at my wits end, because this book this book is not my cup of tea, if you like some romance is like this having multiple relationships and everything I can recommend you this book.
I am ok with main leads having multiple relationships but not at the same time. You know like you can have different stages of flirting with people in orbit this is something too much having physical relationship she went with the guy the first day first night after seeing him in the pub and falling for him.
I mean all through the book I was so frustrated, in the when the realisation happened, It doesn't felt right. You know like "yes you deserve this" because I am not someone who want to, you know, in no case in any man should force on women. I am very against it and so I can't say you deserve it for her because she was delusional enough to climb into the devils den and have him under her to prove that I can take advantage of you.

He acccepting her, getting the glimpse that he could while she was having this physical relationship with him, to be kind enough. I know his Morally gray and all. I don't know this female character is one such least favourite characters I read but the thing that is shocking to me is everybody is liking it except for me. I don't know if I am not ready for this kind of multiple relationship revenge plot but it's just me if you are okay with everything I ranted above. You could go for it. One thing is for sure though, it's a gripping page turner.

🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Let me start by saying this book had me HOOKED from the very first paragraph. I loved everything about it. I went into it knowing I liked the tropes listed but ended up loving it even more than I expected.

Leti is a freaking force to be reckoned with and let me tell you I LOVE an FMC that knows what she wants and is not afraid to ask for it, especially in the bedroom or anywhere else for that matter. I loved her confidence and yet she had this softness about her that allowed you to instantly connect and I fell completely in love with her.

And the men in this book HOLY COW, from corporate daddy Ethan, to the push/pull of Lorenzo and then lord have mercy Tobias. Tobias had me swooning from the jump, I love a grumpy, brooding, overprotective MMC and he so delivered. I loved the depth that Annie provides for each of her characters and immediately fell in love with her writing style. I was also impressed with the multiple storylines running at the same time so effortlessly.

The dynamic between Leti and Tobias is beautiful, messy, painful, and electric. Their connection is undeniable and full of sexual tension and frustration. I also would like to note, the side characters delivered hard, from Carlos who intrigued me instantly, or Bex, the best friend and all the other characters that were written so incredibly well. I ended the book wanting to know what was next for Bex and Ruben and was instantly craving for more!

I literally could not put this book down, I devoured it! This book delivered all the things, audible gasps, heartbreak, swooning, mad blushing, and so much more. Annie killed it with this book, if mafia and a morally gray MMC is your thing like me this one is for you. I did not miss that it is called “A Collide Series Novel” so I’m going to need more. Annie, you can blink twice if we are getting more Bex and Ruben in the future. 😉😉

This book tackles heavy themes, so check content warnings before diving in.

I was not prepared for Find Us. I expected something emotional, sure, but this book came in swinging with heartbreak, healing, and some seriously tangled characters. It’s raw, poetic, and punches you right in the feelings. If you enjoy stories that lean into gray morality, redemption arcs, and emotional depth, this one’s got you.

Letitia and Tobias are electric. Their connection is messy, vulnerable, and impossible to look away from. Letitia, especially, is a standout. She’s bold, layered, and unapologetically herself. Watching her confront pain, rebuild trust, and take control of her story was one of the most powerful elements in the book.

The book alternates between Letitia and Tobias’s shared past and the turbulent present. Letitia has grown, hardened in some ways, wiser in others, and that evolution is one of the book’s strongest threads. She’s figuring things out, making mistakes, and pushing forward. Honestly, I want her confidence.

Now, Enzo. Yeah. He’s charming until he’s not. His possessiveness veers into dangerous territory, and while the tension was intentional, it made me uneasy. Consent matters, always and Letitia’s arc of reclaiming her power after betrayal is what really hit home.

When Tobias returns, everything builds to an emotional storm: the grief, longing, and unfinished business. The violence is visceral, the healing is messy, and the love? It burns slow and hot. Their reunion was intense, satisfying, and full of all the feels.

And shoutout to the side characters. They weren’t filler; they brought richness and realism to the world. Everyone had a story, a heartbeat.

Huge thanks to Beyond the Book PR and Annie Jo Hawner for the ARC opportunity.

Okay, I will start this review by saying that this is one of the most different books I have read this year!!!

Find Us had me stuck from the start. The author shows us Leti and Tobias’ past first, then jumps to the present, and it’s clear Leti has changed a lot. She has grown so much from when she was younger, and that is something I loved about her because it felt so real and personal. Even in your twenties, you're still figuring things out most of the time.

I really liked Leti as a main character. She’s confident, smart, and doesn’t rely on anyone to define her. She stands out not just because of how she looks, but because of how she carries herself like GURLLLLL I NEED TIPS. If you like strong female leads, you’ll probably love her. If not, this might not be the book for you. (Also, why do you not like strong FMCs? THEY ARE THE BEST.)

Her relationship with Enzo, though, made me feel a bit uneasy. While he seems to care about her, some of the things he does to control her didn’t sit right with me, especially since it wasn’t with her full consent. Like consent is important you know? I am someone who believes in full consent from both sides.

When Leti and Tobias finally come back together, everything gets really INTENSE IN CAPS. There’s violence, loss, and a lot of emotion. I was completely pulled in . The side characters were also great and added a lot to the story.

Big thanks to Beyond the Book PR and Annie Jo Hawner for the ARC! I swear BBR always gives me the best books to ARC read!

What happens when the fairytale turns into a nightmare and the only way forward is through the past? Leti thought she had it all figured out until her Prince Charming vanished without a trace. Now, nine years later, she’s a fierce executive assistant who doesn’t have time for love… until he walks back into her life.

Y’ALL. This book was a rollercoaster of emotions. It was messy, raw, and completely gripping. Leti and Tobias had a connection that felt both beautiful and devastating. Childhood friends torn apart by a dark twist of fate, only to collide again years later… yeah, this one had me hooked. The tension? Delicious. The angst? On point. The second-chance vibes?? Chef’s kiss. 🤌🏼

Annie Jo Hawner delivers a beautifully emotional, steamy, and deeply satisfying read that explores grief, growth, and the complexities of fate. I couldn’t put it down. The twists. The longing. The slow unraveling of secrets. GAH 😮‍💨

Tropes you’ll love:
💔 Childhood friends to strangers to lovers
❤️‍🔥 Second-chance romance with heat and heart
💔 Organized crime sub plot
❤️‍🔥 Revenge arc
💔 Grief & trauma
❤️‍🔥 Gray morality & redemption

Are you ready to find out if fate gives Leti her fairytale ending?

Fair warning: this book dives into dark themes (check trigger warnings). It won’t be for everyone—but if you love morally messy characters, heartbreak, and slow-burning redemption, you’ll be obsessed.

✨ Bonus: The side characters were so well done. I need more of Bex & Ruben, please and thank you.

This story hits with such an intensity. Moments wrap you in raw connection that that makes it all seem so real.

The narrative centers on Leti and Tobias, whose childhood connection was cemented by their parents’ close ties. Over time, their friendship deepens into a complex, emotionally charged, and physical relationship. Their bond becomes tangled and fraught, reaching a pivotal moment just before Tobias’s birthday.

Fast forward several years: Leti is working as an administrative assistant, attempting to keep her life steady while the memory of Tobias lingers. One night, she meets Lorenzo, a captivating and charismatic stranger who quickly captures her attention. Meanwhile, Tobias has immersed himself in cartel life, trying to suppress the past he shares with Leti, though she remains an inescapable presence in his mind. His world shifts dramatically when he finds out Leti is now involved with Enzo—the ruthless nephew of his cartel leader and someone he truly loathes.

The sheer transparency between Leti and Tobias, this was the most delicate and important characteristic between them. They never tried to disguise their flaws or play parts—they were simply themselves, this is what made the story so real. Folded between the words, this isn't solely a love story—it's a reflection on self-discovery, coping with loss, and adapting to life's constant changes. When Tobias reenters Leti’s life, the pull between them is undeniable—making it impossible not to yearn for their story to find its way back to each other.

Okay, wow—this book snuck up on me in the best way possible. Find Us is one of those stories that feels so raw and real, you forget you're reading fiction for a while. Annie Jo Hawner has this soft, poetic way of writing that pulls you into the characters' world and doesn’t let go.

The relationship between Letitia and Tobias is messy, vulnerable, and totally magnetic. Letitia especially is such a powerful character—confident, unapologetic, but also carrying this quiet storm of emotion underneath. She's not perfect, and that's exactly what makes her feel so human. Her black wavy hair, jade eyes, and the way she just owns herself make her jump right off the page.

The book deals with themes like identity, connection, loss, and finding your place in a world that sometimes feels like it’s not built for you. It’s emotional, but not heavy in a way that drags—it’s more like a slow burn that leaves you thinking long after you’ve finished the last page.

Also, the side characters are so well-done! They don’t feel like props; they all have their own depth, their own stories, which adds a lot of richness to the world.
If you crave a story that's equal parts authentic and uplifting, where relationships evolve and characters grow, Find Us is a delight. It’s the sort of book that makes you hold your breath a little, then release a happy sigh when everything comes together.

Find Us is a heartfelt childhood friends to lovers romance that explores the complex ties of love, heartbreak, and second chances. The story follows Leti and Tobias, who have been inseparable since childhood. During their teenage years, their connection intensified, turning physical but they never quite made it official. Then, everything changed on Tobias’s birthday. One reckless decision led him to leave town abruptly, cutting ties with Leti and his family without explanation, leaving heartbreak in his wake.
Years later, Leti is working as an administrative assistant, trying to maintain a sense of normalcy while still haunted by the boy who once meant everything to her. One night, she meets Lorenzo, a charming and magnetic stranger who sweeps her off her feet. Their chemistry is instant and electric, and Leti finds herself drawn into a whirlwind romance.
But Leti has no idea that Lorenzo, or "Enzo," is hiding a dark truth. He isn’t the good guy she believes him to be. And soon, Leti realizes there’s more to him and his world than she ever imagined.
Meanwhile, Tobias, now working for a cartel, has spent years trying to bury the memories of Leti. But she continues to haunt him. When he learns that Leti is now dating Enzo, the ruthless nephew of his cartel boss and a man he despises, Tobias is shaken. He knows the danger Enzo represents and will stop at nothing to protect Leti, even if it costs him everything, including his own life.

Find Us by Annie Jo Hawner is a beautifully written story centered around the childhood friends-to-lovers trope—my absolute favorite. This book was a perfect read for me, exploring various aspects of relationships such as love, heartbreak, and second chances.

The story revolves around Leti and Tobias, who share an inseparable bond since childhood, largely due to their parents’ close relationship. As they grow older, their connection deepens, becoming more emotionally and physically intimate. At times, their relationship felt messy and complicated, particularly during the buildup to Tobias’ birthday, where a turning point occurs.

What stood out the most to me was the raw honesty between Leti and Tobias. They never pretended to be something they weren't, which added a layer of realism that made their story feel more authentic than fictional. Their vulnerability and emotional depth kept me hooked from start to finish—I ended up finishing the book in under 48 hours.

The side characters were also thoughtfully developed and added richness to the story.

I would highly recommend Find Us if you’re looking for a heartfelt, real, and emotionally resonant story built around the childhood friends-to-lovers trope.

did you ever get teased about marrying your guy best friend? Leti and Tobias's story begins with just that kind of friendship, shaped by their parents' connection and years of shared moments. One birthday party became the turning point, changing the course of their lives in ways neither expected. Their journey isn’t just about romance—it’s about navigating identity, grief, and the shifts life throws at us all.

What stands out most about Leti and Tobias is their honesty. They don’t sugarcoat their feelings or hide behind polite words. Their bluntness makes their bond feel real, raw, and deeply relatable. When Tobias comes back into Leti’s life, it’s impossible not to root for them. Their story feels less like fiction and more like a glimpse into real life, with all its messiness and beauty.

This is just the beginning—the first book in the Collide Series—and it’s a compelling start that left me wanting more. If you enjoy stories that explore friendship, personal growth, and emotional truth without pretense, this series is worth diving into.

Thank you @beyondthebookspr and @authorajhawner for giving me the opportunity to be an ARC reader.

🔥 Two friends. One twist of fate. 🔥

I received a digital ARC of this book from the PR Team & I liked this book. Did the British terminology mess me up, seeing as this was supposed to be Californians & Mexicans? Yes, a little bit. Did it bother me? Nope. I just read it & moved on. I also think I received an unedited copy because this one had quite a few mistakes & some details didn't make sense to me as I read it. But I fixed them in my mind & I'll move on from that... But yes, I liked this book & I read it pretty quickly. The headstrong, stubborn FMC & the morally grey MMC. The scenery. The storyline. The spice. I liked it all. Leti & Tobias were best friends until something happened that separated them for 9 years. When they run into each other again, their connection is undeniable. This story grabs your attention from the beginning & pulls you in. It's a little fast-paced, but that's a good thing when it comes to this book. There are some real moments in here that can be triggering for some, so be sure to read the trigger warnings.

I'm not really sure what else to say about this book. But I do recommend it if you like a bit of drama, open-door spice, & a "fuck it" moment.

Find Us is one hell of a spicy, emotional rollercoaster that had me hooked from the very first paragraph. At its core, it’s a story about childhood best friends to lovers, with all the messiness in between. Leticia and Tobias were best friends turned lovers, but a tragic incident tore them apart. When fate brings them together again after nine years, the chemistry is undeniable so is the pain, heartbreak, betrayal, and all those unresolved feelings.

Leti's “I can do it myself” attitude made her instantly likable and strong, while Tobias brought a raw vulnerability that grounded the story. Their relationship was magnetic, messy, beautiful, and deeply understanding. There was no pretense just two broken people meant to be trying to find their way back to each other. That realism, that emotional honesty, made them feel incredibly relatable.

One line that hit me hard was when Tobias said, “We were best friends! You don’t just switch it off.” That moment sealed it for me, he was the one. Bubbles was such a cute nickname. I found myself craving more scenes with them together.

If I had the time, I would’ve devoured this in one sitting. Highly recommend for anyone who loves second-chance romance with depth, heat, and heart.

This was a whirlwind of a book and it took me completely by surprise. At the beginning of this book, I was so so confused on where it was going and how the flashbacks linked in. However, when it all clicked into place it was really interesting and entertaining. I really liked our FMC, Leti, at first she was determined and independent however she began to frustrate me with her actions towards the middle of the book and I was just sat thinking what on earth is she doing. Our MMC, Tobias, I loved. He was protective, obsessed and there was so much yearning. I really enjoyed the second chance aspect of this book, I just wish we got more flashbacks of what it was like for them growing up together. I think the book was more focused on the revenge rather than the actual endgame relationship. However, I really enjoyed the writing style and I would definitely read another book by this author. I recommend checking the trigger warnings before reading as some of the topics in here were very dark.

Leti and Tobias' story begins with the author showing us their pasts and then whips us into the future where Leti is not who she was when she was a teenager, but do we really know ourselves in our teens much less our 20s, no. As a FMC I can appreciate that Leti doesn't attach herself to one person and she often commands the room with her intelligence as well as her beauty.

I will say that if you are not okay with a FMC that is strong this might not be for you. I love a strong FMC not only that but I love a woman who can outwit as well as outsmart other characters. Leti, however, lets herself go and falls for Enzo. Enzo is BAD NEWS. Yes, he treats her well but he does things to make her compliant without consent which I do not like.

When T and Leti finally reconcile lots of death and violence happens around them. I enjoyed this story a lot. It was different than most of the books I have read this year. I enjoyed the side characters so so much.

Thank you to Beyond the Book PR and the author for an advance reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

This book gave me mixed feelings, but in a good way. I liked the emotional tension and the second chance vibes between Leti and Tobias. Their history was messy, full of pain and mistakes, and that made it feel more real. Leti was not always easy to like, but I understood her struggles, especially with everything from her past. Tobias was the soft spot in the chaos, he kept caring, even when she pushed him away. It wasn’t a perfect book, but it left an impact. The ending was satisfying and gave closure. Thank you so much to the author and Beyond the Books for giving me the opportunity to read the book in advance, I received this for free and I'm leaving an honest review.

The suspense? The drama? The rage? I could feel it all.
Leti was magnificent. Such a powerful character that carried the show.
I loved the way she was portrayed, as someone that can pick up themselves and someone who can stand on her own.
Tobias was such an interesting character. The lengths he went for Leti was something I truly admired.
The plot was fast and very intriguing. The whole book was phenomenal.
If you want to get out of a reading slump, then this one is for you.

While it was a little torturous watching Leti and Tobias find their way back to each other it was worth the ride. I'm not usually into books with cheating aspects however the cheating parts in their storyline didn't have me hating any of the characters involved. The found family aspect was a highlight of the story as was Tobias and Leti's friend to lovers story.

Tobias and leti oh boy they had some tension and some issues. Not just the current issue but issues from the past to work through as well. This was a pretty quick read and I really liked the ending. But Leti needed to be in ALOT of therapy after everything she’s been through with men.

Absolutely loved this book. I have been reading her books for a long time and super proud that she has brought this one to print. I was angry at Tobias in the beginning for what he did at the party but he did come to save her but it cost them alot. I never liked Lorenzo from the first time they were introduced. He seemed very shady. The more I read the more I disspised him. He is spoiled brat and thinks he can do whatever he likes with no consequence. He got what he deserved in the end. What can I say about Tobias. I understand why he did what he did and am glad it was explained later, but I feel sad for the both of them. He never gave up on her and was always close by to save her. They truly were made for each other. The tension between him and Leti is so think and I'm glad they finally gave in and forgave each other.

Childhood friends to lovers, with a twist of betrayal, heartbreak, and retribution. Find Us is a raw, emotional story that blends romance, spice, and just the right amount of darkness.

Leti is a total powerhouse! She’s confident, fierce, and real. I loved her strength and how unapologetically she owned her choices. Tobias is broody, morally gray, and impossible not to love. I quite enjoy a good childhood friends to lovers / second chance romance and this did not disappoint!

This one gave me angst, spice, and plot in equal measure. A quick, addictive read with intense moments and interesting side characters Im excited to see more of. Just be sure to check content warnings first!
