Ashley is in the fire department and her and her teams are at a raging fire. They manage to get out and put it out. She's been at this for 15 years. It's a major black eye to the males who thought she wouldn't be able to hack the firefighter life.
Gideon is at the Mouthful’s diner whe someone runs into him. He takes an interest with the beauty who knocked into him.
And that is how he met Ashley. The two banter and when she has to leave his first thought is that she's going to be his wife someday. Ashley goes to meet up with her best friend in the department and he takes her to task for not dating then picks on her about how she is sorely lacking in talking to men.
The two of them are so bad at trying their hand at flirting they have friends giving advice. Then at a particularly bad fire she is almost killed. She comes out and calls Gideon. They set a date for the next night.
Is this the chance for the two of them. Will they be able to work past personal issues to win the lottery of being with someone special?
A fascinating story in the Blackhawk Security story.

Fighting her Nature

Ashley caught Gideon's eye the moment she bumped into him. The nature of her job is dangerous, and her hesitation at having a relationship compounds it all. Once these two are finally making a go at it, the chemistry explodes off the pages. I loved Gideon's determination, which made this an excellent reading opportunity.

What I liked-A very fascinating story added into the Blackhawk Security story series. Once Gideon and Ashley are finally taking a chance on it, the chemistry is immediately jumping off the pages.

This book is so good that Ashley and Gideon will definitely have you enthralled from the beginning until the end. I felt like I could resonate with Ashley and the way her character was written mainly because I was in a job like hers, and Gideon is wonderful. This is a 5/5 star read in a perfect 10 series.
