Ahhhh I love this authors books! This series is one of my favorites. The characters are so full of life. I love them all.

Oh yes this story is spectacular! The love these 2 share for each other is strong and beautiful. I loved every word in this book. Toryn is so yummy and Isa is such a kick ass character. There is betrayal, action, sensual fun, family, and crazy uncles! It has it all!

Ahhhh I love this authors books! This series is one of my favorites. The characters are so full of life. I love them all.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review through Lovers of Paranormal.
Isa has been pining after Toryn for years. They have been friends and he has always protected her but she wants more. She hates seeing him take home lover after lover and she overcompensates by doing the same thing. What she doesn't know is that he feels the same way about her. Toryn is a faerie and he knows that his world may be too much for Isa. Desperate circumstances force a quick introduction to the magical world and their lives change forever.
I was pleasantly surprised by Storm Mistress. I'll admit that I sort of struggled to finish the first book in the series, mostly because I get turned off by insta-love but this book was completely different. Isa and Toryn have been doing that whole "secret unrequited love" thing for years and everybody knows it. It's sad and lonely for both of them and it was easy to relate to it. Most people that I know have harbored some sort of love for someone that they couldn't have. Their own stubbornness keeps them apart despite them being the closest of friends.
The characters were incredibly believable to me because they had such human emotions. Toryn is insecure and Isa doesn't believe that she is strong enough for the tasks that she has been given. Together, they shore each other up and make it possible to overcome just about anything. It sort of makes you proud of their strong relationship.
The danger was also real in this book which helped. It wasn't just petty jealousy that provided the tension. There was a sick and twisted family member that was easy to hate, a destructive and sad past for a main character and a reason that Isa was going through everything that she was.
Storm Mistress was a well thought out book with compelling and fun characters. 4/5 stars :-)

Storm Mistress is the second book in the Others of Seattle series. Isadora Starling grew up believing her parents never wanted her. Having been orphaned as a baby and placed into the system. She was always different from others and always had trouble coming after her. She never backed down from a fight, knowing she always had a guardian angel watching over her when things seemed to get out of hand. Growing up she became a strong and confident woman, owning her own business and having everything she ever wanted except the only man she ever loved. Isa's best friend, Toryn, was her never ending fantasy. He never seemed interested in anything more than friendship.
Toryn, has secrets that he's kept from Isa, secrets that he's afraid of when she finds out that she will want nothing to do with him. He has fallen in love with her and will do anything to protect her. She will always be his princess.
Isa has no clue who she really is or that the dark creatures in her nightmares truly exist. She has Toryn to guide her through the toughest obstacles that life has thrown at her. He will always be her knight. When her life is turned 180*, she keeps on going. With Toryn by her side she can face anything, including her parents, an uncle that makes her skin crawl, friends she thought she knew, finding out faeries exist and near death experiences.
I loved this book and I can't wait for the next one to come out. In all honesty this series has elements that I would've never thought of. It really would be best to read the Others of Edenton along with this series.

“Storm Mistress (Others of Seattle, #2)” by Brandy L. Rivers has a great sizzling chemistry at its center that runs through the novel as continuous thread of suspense and addiction.
Isadora is in friends territory with Toryn, who is with his toy boy Leon anyway. People however are noticing him looking at her and the reader soon learns that there is more to Toryn. There is also a secret to be revealed, about the past and about what he and Isadora are – all of which makes a Union unlikely, if not impossible.
They share a great friendship which, as told from both sides in turn, really has a bigger potential, if it were not for the truth that has not come out.
Forbidden and distant love is one part of the story and a theme that Rivers has explored and depicted really well. You can feel the chemistry and the torn feelings.
Paranormal fantasy and action are the other pillar of this solid novel. When Isadora is attacked, Toryn’s protective feelings towards her drive the plot on and a variety of creatures flood into the scene, the truth comes out and sets everything in motion.
The story has a great flow as we come closer to the truth. The chemistry is excellent and the characters are well set up. Quite powerful, enjoyable and very impressive.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.
As a long fan of Edenton other series I was super excited for a new group of people but with the same core to the storyline. Mrs. Rivers delivered that to me and much, much more. I have to say that Settle group may over come my love for Edenton. Between even paranormal beings and a storyline that I see even more far-reaching, not to mention working on Edenton I am truly in love with this series. Our dear storm mistress is not what she seems and once you find out what she is well I was in shock. The story between Isa and Tryon is intense and amazing and with perfect character development. Of course Rivers left me with plenty of questions and dying for book 3 in this series. This has to be the best spin off series I have ever read and the interlocking of the two is great. While this book could be read as a stand alone I really recommend that you are read both series, as it will only improve your regard for the characters that are sprinkled thought out.
As a side note though I received the book for free I will be adding a bought copy to my library.

This book, the second in the Others of Seattle series, is a fabulous read. It is full of action, adventure, seduction, twists, turns, and wonderful 'others' - in this case concentrating on fae, but bringing in nymphs, weres, and assorted 'others'. The main characters sound enviably delicious, and clearly made for each other. The importance of parity (not similarity) within relationships is something that resonates throughout these books.
One of the things I really enjoy about Ms Rivers' writing is that I can read about a dragon chasing someone down a freeway, and not even do a double-take. It seems so entirely reasonable!
I do believe you could read this as a stand alone, but if you enjoy it, then I recommend you take time to enjoy the Others of Edenton series and Night's Embrace, the first book in this series. You will not have spoiled yourself, but will find a rich seam of reading to be tapped.

I am blown away...
I have been holding off on the review until it came out because I wanted to hype this book so badly! This is the second book in the Others of Seattle series and it is fantastic! Brandy takes us on a fun as hell journey! Yes, again!
Toryn is such an amazing character full of secrets and passion and wow, he is just crazy sexy! Isadora is this strong capable woman who has been lusting after Toryn for a long time. I felt the chemistry immediately between these two. It was intoxicating!
Another amazing book full of vivid images (dragons anyone?), and intense emotions. And like all the amazing books in Brandy's resume, this makes you wish she had the whole series done so you could read them without a break!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE this book!
I give this 5 charming, sexy, fun lipsticks!

This is the second book in the Others of Seattle series and is a great follow up to Nights Embrace. Some of the characters featured here are from the authors Others of Edenton series so it's a great way to catch up but this new spin off series has a completely different feel to it. If you are looking for a fresh new way to view the Fae then this author has just opened up a whole new world of deviousness coupled with very sexy shenanigans!
Isadora has never had it easy but sometimes life just seems determined to kick her in the teeth. She has her own bar, good friends and yet something is missing, well not exactly missing as Isa knows exactly what it is she wants but that or rather he is strictly off limits! Toryn is probably her best friend and he is everything Isa wants in a guy but he just doesn't see her that way and besides he is obviously already involved so that makes him definitely off limits . Still Isa can dream and fantasise but would never do anything to jeopardise their friendship but events are about to dramatically change her life forever!
Toryn is a man full of secrets and not all are his own. Toryn knows more about Isa"s past then she does herself but his biggest secret is that both he and Isa are Fae! ! Isa does not know it but plans are afoot to awaken her dormant powers but it's intended to use her as a pawn. Toryn was placed close to Isa in order to protect her but the more he sees her the more Toryn knows that he wants Isa for himself. A devious plot to seduce Isa sees Toryn seeing red and the one thing he won't do is stand by and watch Isa get hurt but admitting who and what he is means that Toryn reveals his true feelings for Isa. Isa is no shrinking violet though and more than prepared to take all that Toryn offers but there's trickery at work and those hungry for power will stop at nothing to get Isa under their spell !
I will be honest and say that I wasn't sure at first if I really liked Isa as a heroine. From the first page she is written as a tough cookie who is very strong and confident and I was unsure if I would find her to be likeable . Luckily her loyal nature quickly asserted itself and I found myself empathising with her as she watched the man she loved in the arms of another. I'm not sure that I particularly liked the heroines attitude to sexual encounters but what really won me over was the fact that she turned out to be very choosey. As for her choice of Toryn well I do understand that the friendship was precious but did feel that these two characters should have had their heads banged together a lot sooner. Toryn is very sexy but so sweet and bravely trusts Isa to do the right thing. Luckily love finds a way but it's still a long road before Isa and Toryn can finally just enjoy being a couple.
As I mentioned this has a completely different feel to the authors Edenton series and for this reader seemed more gritty. There's a wealth of characters and indeed creatures for the author to explore and I personally loved the dragons and sincerely hope that one in particular will get his own story told. This is essentially a story about the Fae though and dear lord what a complex and twisted lot they are. The heroine truly has the family from Hell and it's such a surprising plot as it's revealed just who her greatest nemesis is!
So I really enjoyed this and loved this new world that Ms Rivers has created. It was fun and action packed but still contained enough heat to make it a romance. What really impressed me though is the authors ability to showcase dark and twisted villains whilst making them believable and not caricatures . Another great story and I can't wait to find out what happens next.

I cannot rave about this author enough. Brandy takes you on a journey into her paranormal filled world and keeps you captive. Her writing style and characters never bore me or leave me with any feeling but complete love for them. She is a phenomenal author that you do not want to miss. This novel isn't any different.
First of all let me start out by telling you how HOT this novel is. Brandy seems to make it her goal to drive me crazy with angst. I swear it. Toryn and Isa have their work cut out for them with this story. They are both in love with each other, but neither of them know it. They are both scared to tell each other how they feel, and for no good read. Okay, well Toryn may have a slightly valid reason, and Isa may THINK she has a reason, but they are both wrong.
Until they both have no choice but to start sharing secrets. Isa's family wants the ball to start rolling with her future and Toryn needs to find a way to tell her the truth and still continue to keep her safe.
This novel is filled with action packed scenes that leave you on the edge of your seat, waiting for what will come next. This book dives back into the world of Faerie and its players. Well, kinda. We don't actually go to faerie, yet, but this novel focuses on its players. I loved the new characters we got to meet, as well as the old ones that jump in and out. It was mini teasers.
This is a novel not to miss. It is a phenomenal world full of characters that you don't want to forget.

With each book by Brandy L Rivers, I always say it was the best so far because she always comes up with something different – even in the same series – and this is no exception! Way to open up the world they live in! This was brilliant!
We met Isa & Toryn in book one – Night’s Embrace – and Isa made an impact for me because she was seeing a character from that book but was clearly feeling something more for Toryn… but Toryn was seeing someone and that led Isa to believe he was only into men. So here we are with their story as things come to a head between them because it’s quite clear that something has to give in their friend zone relationship and that is just the beginning….I have to say, I wondered how they were going to be together because of Toryn’s relationship with Leon but that worked out perfectly and is part of Toryn’s secrets. In the beginning they are both mooning after each other, both loving the other but neither bold enough to make the first move. It is so hot when they do eventually get together, this couple will literally burn those sheets with passion and it’s clear that they are meant for each other, they feel right together and the relationship feels more real because of the bonds of friendship they shared beforehand. I loved how they came together and I love Isa’s need for independence and her acceptance of the changes in her life, this woman takes everything in her stride and the only thing that can scare her is losing Toryn. Toryn was so admirable because even though he is her protector, he still understood her need to look after herself and even though it goes against his feelings, he let her act on that.

For one, she has a family she never knew existed, two – she is super powerful, three –she is a very special person, four – people are hunting her and want to use her, five – her world is about to be turned upside down but six – Toryn loves & wants her making her able to handle anything else.
As I mentioned, the world of ‘The Others of Seattle’ is about to opened up in a major way and some new species are introduced that we haven’t seen before including satyrs & dragons!! (I’m excited about the dragons) Some of the book even had a fantasy feel to it and that’s something new also and there wasn’t a werewolf in sight. The threat was very sinister & seedy with a very creepy enemy (who also links the book to ‘The Others of Edenton’) and this is where we get to Isa at her best and strongest as she faces down more than one enemy. There is tons of action, threats, power plays, huge secrets and lots of sexytime making this a must read for fans of paranormal romance. I would gladly read another book about this couple and couldn’t recommend it enough…… oh and did I mention it has Dragons??? I need their books too!

I received this book by the Author for an honest review.
This is the second book in the Others of Seattle book. The thing I enjoy most about Brandy’s writing is she doesn’t give you all the information at once. She will give you what information you need as you go along, kind of like you are finding out new things the same time the characters are. Another think I like is that her females are tough; yes, they usually have something in their past but they are not the weak need a man to save them. You find that the males need the females as much as the females need the males. The other thing is that she adds more characters and expands on the worlds in each book.
Meet Toryn Flame and Isadora (Isa) Starling they have been are best friends. There is great sexual tension between these two. Neither one will admit there is an attraction even when their friends try to tell them they need to get together. Isa doesn’t know the real reason why Toryn is always around and Toryn is afraid if she ever finds out she will turn her back on him. Things are heating up in Faerie and the family she knows nothing about wants to change that no matter the cost. Toryn is forced to take things into his own hands but this will cause all his secrets to come out and possibly loss Isa if she cannot understand or forgive him for his past.
The journey that Brandy L. Rivers takes you on is imaginative and made me keep turning the pages. There are so many new Characters in this book and I enjoyed most of them. The evil ones are great I felt like I was right there with the others wanting to fight Evanastie, Aeremaius, and Henroyld right alongside the others. The other characters that I loved were Scotty, Leon, Morrigan, Lisanna and Sammy; oh and I can’t forget Reshanta and Drake. I’m still not sure about Aeryana and Alenathos. However, there is something about Alenathos that has me interested.
Some of my favorite scenes were when Isa stood up to Morrigan for coming down hard on Toryn and then finding out who Morrigan was, priceless. Another one was when Reshanta, Drake, Leon, and Lisanna go out dancing. The fight scene is great I felt like I was right in the middle of everything seeing it as it happened it was so emotional I wanted to jump in and help. All of the different types of elements Brandy is able to make come to life during the fight scenes are just amazing. There is so much going on but you are able to keep up and it feels like you are there watching it unfold.
I was hooked from the moment I started reading this I had a hard time putting it down that night and picked it back up first thing the next morning. I cannot wait for the next book to see what journey I will go on and what new characters I will be introduced too. I will patiently wait for the next book because I have to know what is going to happen next.

Her parents had sent her into hiding to protect her from those that would want to harm her or control her and her powers. She has not had an easy life but had survived and become stronger. Through all the years Toryn her BFF has been there by her side, protecting and running interference when needed to keep her safe. He is always there when she needs him but the way she needs him doesn’t seem to be the way he feels toward her. He has endless women and men in his life so Isa has no choice to find men to feel the empty place in her heart with one night stands.
Toryn was sent to the Earth Realm to protect Isadora. He was to keep her safe and unaware of who she really is and what is planned for her by her father and his henchmen. Toryn has loved Isa since the moment he first laid eyes on her but he has a job to do and it does not include a relationship with Isa. He has tried everything to keep her at arm’s length but it is becoming harder to keep him from claiming her as his. Things are changing; someone is trying to speed up Isadora’s awakening and this cannot happen until she is ready. Will he be able to protect her from those that want to take her and use her for their own agenda?
Finally Isadora’s eyes are opened to her real life and what is expected from her family. Her best friend is now her other half and it feels right. But there are so many questions that need to be answered and the answers are vital for the survival of Toryn and Isa. Will they be able to stay ahead of those that are after them? The characters were brilliant. It all felt realistic. From the first page I was sucked in by story. Forbidden love, mystical creatures in the modern world, what more could we ask for? Oh and not forgetting the yummy steamy love scenes. Just so hubba hubba.
A must read to all you paranormal romance lovers! The only downside this book might have for some people is that it is quite long. However the story really keeps you entertained. I know I was!

Isa has been in love with Toryn since she met him, but he never acted like he wanted her so they had become best friends. So she constantly turns to other men to try and get Toryn out of her system. She has an on and off again thing with a guy named Mike but that isn’t going to go anywhere so she knows that she has to let him go she just doesn’t want to hurt him. Then one night a guy hits on her and she doesn’t get a good feeling about him so she says no. He however does not take no for an answer and basically starts stalking her. Who is she going to turn to for protection other then Toryn. Then she finds out that she isn’t even human and there is a reason that she was being stalked and why Toryn is even in her life. Can she accept the reality of what and who she is and can she forgive Toryn for deceiving her all these years?

We are first introduced to Isa and Toryn in book 1 and I knew that their story would be coming soon. I personally could not put the book down. And of course there was some yummy, steamy sex scenes. I’m sure that we will be seeing more of these two in books to come. I am highly anticipating the next book in the series. There are a few possibilities from characters that we are introduced to I personally hope to see a book where Mike finds someone soon but I will be happy with whoever has their story next! Since the first book I have read of Brandy’s I have become a huge fan! It can be read as a stand alone but I do recommend reading book 1 first.

It is no secret that I love paranormal romance. Ms. Rivers provides us with all of the witches, dragons, and fairies we could wish. This epic story of love and lust is filled with intrigue, romance, and magic. I found myself holding my breath more than once. For the time that I was reading this, I was alternately Isa and then Toryn and wanting them both to get all that they wished for themselves and for each other.
The only complaint I had with this book was the number of names – and most characters had two or three different names used interchangeably. Because of this, I would have to pause in my reading to mentally shuffle through the “who is whom” cards in my brain. Perhaps a list of characters should be included as a second appendix.
Mike’s story (not yet titled) will be next in this series. I am looking forward to it. He deserves his HEA!

The perfectly magical storm...
Great continuation of the Others of Seattle series. We met more characters and Brandy even pulled in some from Edenton too. The plot surrounding the new fae characters was easy to follow and was something new I hadn't read before. There was passion, torture, love, cruelty, justice, and healing ... lots of great stuff in this paranormal romance. And now a bit about the story...
Toryn is in love with Isadora and Isa is in love with Toryn. The only problem is they are the only two in all of Seattle that don't know it. Typical love story right? Wrong. Toryn and Isa are both from Faerie and this adds to the story and complicates matters as well. Isa is actually the Princess and Toryn is her protector, not her intended. Hotness factor: Toryn, you’re almost giving Tremaine a run for his money… almost
We left Edenton to Seattle again, this time it’s party girl, bar owner Isadora and I’m going to say security consultant Toryn’s story. This group of Others party like there is no tomorrow! I need to try that drink called Love unless it’s with vodka. Is it just me or Faeries should drink very strong absinthe? It sounds so fitting, right?

There’s so much to say about this book, my head is still spinning from all the new characters I’ve met. It’s at the same time paranormal romance, a political intrigue, an urban fantasy.
Toryn and Isa were full of passion and fire… literally. Isa’s horniness at the beginning of the book and Toryn’s insecurities were a little off putting at time but it didn’t tarnish the story. It just made them more human or just plain human (because they’re faeries).
It’s certainly another winner for this author, the queue de poisson ending, raised more questions and now I’m going to have to bite my nails until Mending Scars. Brandy, I have no nails left!

I need to try that drink called Love unless it’s with vodka. Is it just me or Faeries should drink very strong absinthe? It sounds so fitting, right?

Yet another book from Brandy Rivers I was unable to stop listening to. I am in LOVE with Toryn Flame and need more of him ASAP. I was luck enough to listen to Storm Mistress on audio and much like its predecessor, Nights Embrace, the narrator, John Lane”s voice was smooth and sexy and had me completely drawn in to the story.
Too complex to go into great detail, the story in Storm Mistress revolves around the wold of Fae (a new to me creature) and the inner workings of their homeland. Toryn has loved his best friend, Isa, secretly but since he is sworn to protect her he has never acted on it. Isadora’s crush on Toryn has always been the subject of her deepest fantasies but content with the fact that she believes he men she is just happy to have him as her best friend.
As always with Brandy’s book nothing can stay easy for long and while Toryn is determined to keep Isa safe there are others out there determined to do just the opposite. But the best part of this book and Brandy’s other books is that Isa is not the kind of heroine to sit around and just let a man keep her safe. She takes her safety in her own hands and does whatever is necessary to keep herself and those she cares for out oh harms way.
This series is quickly becoming very addictive. The world’s of Brandy’s “others” are huge and interconnected and every time I see a new overlap I get giddy and excited for more. Saying that I want to note that this book can definitely be a standalone but I promise if you read it you will want to dive into the others very soon.

So I'm a sucker for a great paranormal romance and that is exactly what this is...great! I waited for months for this to come out then devoured it when it finally showed up on my Kindle. There are cameo appearances by some characters from her Others of Edenton series but this can definitely be read as a standalone.
Isadora Starling is beautiful, independent and has everything she wants including a best friend who would do anything for her. Except she doesn't just want to be friends with Toryn Flame but she's afraid to admit her true feelings to him, nevermind that fact that he is with Leon.
Toryn Flame wants Isadora but she's never hinted that she had anything but platonic feelings for him. Even if she did, she's forbidden fruit. Toryn is keeping secrets from her, secrets about himself and Isadora that he is sure will tear their friendship apart. After an attack is made on Isadora, Toryn can no longer deny his feeling or keep his secrets and things really start to heat up.
The chemistry and tension between the two is amazing. It starts from the very beginning and continues to build throughout. When these two finally come together, it's like a force of nature is unleashed.
Brandy's characters are fully realized and utterly engaging. I love the world she's created and am always blown away by how much completely immersed I find myself in it everytime I read on of her books. She always leaves you wanting more.

OTHERS OF SEATTLE. BOOK #2.
I was lucky enough to receive an A.R.C. from the author, but that does not colour my review in any way.
Although this is book #2 in the series you could read it as a stand alone without missing anything.
Isadora is a bar owner in Seattle. She knows she has a little magic, because If there is danger her fingers spark. Isadora has a very special best friend. He has always been there for her. She loves him in a way that she is sure he will never be interested in.
Toryn has been Isadora 's bodyguard for ten years. Sent by her father to protect her from the many fae who want to see her dead or use her for their own purposes. Isadora must go through an awakening to come into her full powers, but Toryn has been putting off telling her what she is. He knows the awakening can be traumatic and loves her too much to hurt her. Sex is the key to awakening and Isadora wants nobody except Toryn to take her through it. After the awakening Isadora has Lots of training to do to learn how to handle her magic. She must learn how to fight and protect herself because the evil ones are getting closer.
This story was so much fun. Isadora thinking Toryn is gay, but still wanting him so much. Toryn trying to keep his hands and everything else off the woman he wants more than his next breath. The Fae that we meet in this story are dangerous and sexy. I am addicted to this series already. I can't wait for the next book.

Isa wants Toryn like she has never wanted another man but he is off limits because he is batting for the other team and is also her best friend. When Isa is out on the prowl one night she is confronted by a very bad man. There are things going on in Isa’s life that she is not even aware of. People want to kidnap her, force her awakening and then use her as a tool in their twist and sadistic ways. Toryn will do anything in his power to keep Isa from those things. When Toryn finally revels the truth of not only who he is but also who Isa is and what his true role in her life is will she be able to forgive him? Will Isa finally get through Toryn’s walls and gets him to not only admit his feelings for her but to believe that she feels the same? Will Toryn be able to keep himself and Isa safe as well as all of those she loves when there are so many people after her? Will Toryn and Isa even be able to stay together when all is said and done? Or will those who want her tear them apart forever?

So this is the story of Isadora and Toryn. They are both pretending that they are not interested and playing the best friend card. Their friendship, however, comes jam packed full of secrets and some of them are about to get let out of the bag.
Isa finds out that she is more than she thought but then again so are half of the people she knows too. Luckily for her, Toryn is there to help her and because of the depth of their friendship, she trusts him. It is Toryn himself who keeps waiting for the other shoe to drop, for her to storm off and Isa has to show him that she won't be doing that.
Roxy and Trevor are mentioned from book 1 but it is mainly Mike talking to Isa about them, not themselves directly.
New characters, good and bad, come into play in Isa's story and she finds out more than she would have ever believed possible.
I am really glad to have read Isa's story because from the snippets you got out of Night's Embrace she didn't really come across that well. That actually shows how well Brandy L Rivers has written these books. I didn't like Isa from Roxy's story because Roxy thought she was using her brother and wasn't good enough for him. Reading Isa's story, I know her feelings behind what she did and why and also how she felt about Mike. Totally worth reading!

I really love all the “Other’s” books, this one is good but not one of my favorites.
In Isa we once again have a very strong female character with her warrior protector. She is sent away at a young age by her parents to protect her and not all of the people sent to watch out for her are doing so in her best interest. Basically she had a really crappy childhood, I understand the reasoning behind all of that but between the things done to her and Toryn as I child I’m not terribly impressed with the Fae, light or dark.
Once again we spend time with people we recognize from the books that came before and I love the continuity in these books. I enjoyed seeing Isa come in to her powers and the care that Toryn took of her to make the process as easy for her as he could. For me though Toryn fell just a little short, he was a great warrior sent to protect her but his insecurities throughout the whole book took away from me seeing him as the warrior he was supposed to be. I have a feeling we’re going to be seeing Isa and Toryn pulled into another battle, I hope that in that one he is secure in their relationship and the warrior I believe him to be shines through.
Overall this is another good book with a HEA and good again overcomes evil, at least for awhile. I would recommend this book to others.

Yet another hit for me from Brandy L. Rivers. I enjoy her style of writing, there is tension, suspense, hot chemistry, and love in every book I have read so far.
Isa has been alone all her life until Toryn came into her life. For 10 years they fought their attraction to each other, he because he was sworn to protect her, and he did such a good job of avoiding being with her that she thought he wasn't for her.
When they finally realize that they are in love and are together the first time it not only is hot, but there is a huge storm and her powers and memories come to life.
Isa is has a kick butt take no prisoners attitude and I really liked it. I like a female that is not weak and needs a man to fix her, from the beginning she owns her own business and owns her sexuality, which few females in romance novels do. Toryn is a hottie and if I had anything negative to say about this book was that after a while once they professed their love for each other he kept saying she was not going to want to be with him once she knew him, and she had to keep reassuring him that she was in this with him.

She also realizes when her memories come back that part of her family wants to control her so they can rule the different fae worlds.
Toryn Flame, is Isa's best friend, protector, and totally in love with her. He was sent to Earth to watch over her and make sure no one from their world attacks or harms her until her awakening.
Things take a bad turn when Isa's uncle and the guy she is suppose to marry tries to force the awakening on her. Now Isa and Toryn are in hiding while Isa learns everything that the needs to know and how to deal with her family and all the secrets that's been kept from her. When they all finally meet it will be explosive.
This is my first time reading anything by this Brandy and I loved it. I could not put the book down. I can't wait to read the other boos in this series. I highly recommend this book to others.

Toryn Flame, super sexy elemental fae with secrets to the hilt. He has to hide the secrets of his past and the love he has for Isadora. Isa is also hiding her true feelings from Toryn because she not only believes he has found love with another but because she does not want to lose his friendship. The world has other plans. Threats arise that attempt to divide the pair, but ultimately push them closer together. Not only is Isa's world rocked, but Toryn has to come face to face with his past and make some decisions that could end a love before it has a chance to thrive.
Toryn is fiercely protective of those he loves. His character is well developed, but throughout the book there was eluding to all these secrets that would make Isa "hate" him and I really did not get a good sense of those secrets really coming out. Isa is a tough alpha female who knows what she wants. She has normal female insecurities about rejection and failure. This makes her character even more personable. The supporting cast in this story was also well developed. In the last Others book that released, I complained of not enough heat. This one, the flames jumped off the pages. I give this 5 fangs!

OMGEE!!!! Brandy L Rivers never ceases to amaze me with her work. I love each book more than the last!! Isadora screams sex appeal and I am surprised Toryn was able to control himself as much as he did!
Isadora is a Princess who was sent to the Earth Realm to protect her from people that would hurt her, and Toryn was sent to watch after her.... They have this initial pull from the beginning and even though they both fight it- they are totally for each other.
When it becomes apparent that someone is trying to force her to awaken too soon... Toryn must do what he can to protect her, but he finds she isn't so fragile and has some tricks of her own up her sleeve!
This is a hot hot book, and you will read it in one sitting like I did!
I love how Rivers is able to weave all of her previous characters in and out of the continuing books. It's never a dull moment and always an entertaining book.

Gritty, raw, real, edgy, sexy; the adjectives describing how I feel reading the books in this series, Ms. Rivers books are definitely not for the faint of heart. Her characters are well developed, the characters are not polished and refined as to be unbelievable. They are real, sincere, down to earth people, with issues that the average reader can relate to, even the supernatural problems are written as if it happens to everyone, everyday. The plot is driven hard, just when you think you know what will happen next, she weaves in another element that keeps it churning toward the spectacular conclusion.
I loved this installment as much, if not more than the first book in this series. Dragons, what?? Oh my, she completely had me at dragons! Not to mention all the otherworldly creatures, I have a feeling we are just cracking the door on this series, there is a lot more to come! If you are a fan of things paranormal and supernatural, this is the series for you! 5 Stars!!
