Sabrina Lacey was the pen name for author Faleena Hopkins when she was shyly first becoming an author. Since then, all of her works have been repackaged and republished under her own name, save for the I Love My...novels.

This is the fifth book in a serial romance. You must read the others first to be able to understand what’s going on in this one. You can see my reviews of the previous books: Throbbing Hearts, Reaching Hearts, Crushing Hearts, and Tempting Hearts.

I am still head over heels for this series. It has never stalled and only continues to impress as being suspenseful, erotic, and romantic. It’s much like the classic soap operas of yesteryear but without the overacting.

The book picks up with Tommy and Rebecca’s liaison. It’s now known that he’s a very bad man, but he continues to unleash new levels of evil. Rebecca is still a bit disturbing seeing what a scorn woman will do

Annie and Brendan seem to be going along swimmingly. They’re enjoying each other. He’s completely opening up to her and feeling things he didn’t even have with his college girlfriend. For the first time in years and perhaps ever, he wants and can imagine a future with someone.

Christiano makes a small appearance in this book. I can’t figure out where he still fits in. While in the peripheral to the main plot, his character still possesses the ability to turn things upside down. One last morsel, there is a return of a character from Throbbing Hearts who changes the game.

Just when I thought the elusive realization/confrontation between Annie and Brendon was going to happen, it didn’t. Crisis adverted. But then, it did happen! Maybe I’m a glutton for punishment or perhaps more aptly I wanted it to transpire because we all know it will. Now it’s like ripping the band aid off. Let the drama from her identity concealment occur, so they can move on. The unfortunate part is this one ends without a resolution to the scene. Perhaps even more unnerving to me is the sentence in the author’s note where it states the next and sixth installment will be the final in this series. I can’t even wrap my head around how everything can possible reconcile in just one more episode.

I received an ARC for a honest book review. I love this series and each book has left me wanting more....like all book readers I'm impatient but that also adds to the excitement when you've got the next instalment.

I felt this book wasn't as gripping as last three but I feel Sabrina is setting the foundation for the next book, this book really concentrated on Brendan and his unexpected emotions and feelings towards Annie which he was struggling how to handle.

Annie's secret is eating her up and you can feel the tension as you read she tries to tell him several times, but how will he react if I tell him? And self preservation keeps the secret.

I really don't like Rebecca and I expected more bitchiness from her in this book which makes me wonder what Sabrina has in store for her.

Christiano left me wanting to SHOUT if you love her fight, I'm not sure his passion for Annie is strong enough.

Tommy is just plain nasty again I was expecting more from him in this book, the ring Annie to notice it although I feel it could be the calm before the storm.

Could Corrine do any more damage....let's hope it can be repaired.

Excited and waiting with anticipation for more.

*I received an A.R.C. of this book in exchange for an honest review *

Sabrina Lacey has a beautiful way with words. The "Hearts" Series is on the whole a solid 5-star read. Her character development and trueness to her characters makes her one of my favorite authors. I don't want to disappoint with spoilers, but "Tangling Hearts" might clear up an issue or two....or not. Read it yourself and find out, but don't delay, as this is one fantastic, sexy, mysterious ride. Please read the whole series before reading this book! With one book to go it's anybody's guess what might happen, but you know your soul will be touched if Sabrina is involved with telling the story.

Why not a 5-star for Tangling Hearts? Probably my impatience with having to wait for Book Six after an awesome cliffhanger! If I could give 4.5, I would!

While you're waiting for book six, grab the boxed set of Sabrina's "I love My" series. It is awesome!

And take a look at her website, as the content is fantastic!
