Seattle Sullivans #3

It Must Be Your Love

Rate this book
Successful Seattle Realtor Mia Sullivan is nobody’s fool…apart from that one week five years ago when she gave away her heart to a sexy musician who gave her nothing in return but a few sinfully perfect days—and nights—in his bed. Though she swears she never wants to see him again, he’s the one man she’s never been able to forget.

One of the hottest rock stars in the world, Ford Victor can have any woman he wants…except Mia Sullivan. But now he knows millions of strangers singing along with his songs can’t fill the hole inside of him. Only Mia’s love has the power to do that—so he vows to do anything and everything it takes to win her heart again.

From the first moment they see each other again, intense sparks of attraction fly. Between irresistible kisses, a romantic Sullivan wedding in Napa Valley, and a deeply sensual connection that neither of them can deny, can Mia and Ford finally rediscover a love—and a friendship—strong enough to last forever?

5 “Bella Andre Never Disappoints” Stars -Audiobook review

photo It must be your love_zpsjfnxfsho.jpg

I have been a fan of Bella Andre since the first book I read, The Look of Love. I fell in love with the Sullivan family from the get go. Her books always make me smile, laugh, cry, blush, and just be incredibly happy. The simple truth- reading Bella Andre is reading romance at its finest. There is just simple beauty. There is no foul language, there is just beautiful words culminating in blissful, meaningful, amazing love. The love that makes you smile and be giddy, the love that makes you tingle because of the words hitting you straight to your heart.

This story is about the Seattle Sullivan's. Mia Sullivan had an encounter 5 yrs ago with mega rockstar Ford Vincent. They were both young but fell hard for one another. But sometimes fate is cruel and timing isn't right. But 5 yrs later, would the feelings that they both had for one another still be present? Ford has to convince Mia that he has grown as a person and his love for her was only gotten stronger, bigger and truer. But Ford broke Mia's heart all those years ago and the heart never forgets. Can Ford break down the walls that Mia has around her heart, the wall that protects her from heartbreak? This is their story of love lost, love learning to trust again and finally love conquering all.

What I also love is that Bella always brings the entire Sullivan Clan together. We get tidbits on past characters that you have read about and get to see how they are doing. It's a big loving family that is always there for one another.

If you are a romance lover, then reading a Bella Andre book is an absolute must. It's sweet, painful, loving, emotional and pure happiness. She writes romance at its purest and I for one am a huge fan!!

I love the Sullivans, really I do. But I will never, ever like this book. Ford is a disgusting pig and Mia forgave him way too quickly. I am so disappointed in Mia. The story goes like this...Ford sees Mia at one of his concerts, he feels a spark. The meet and spend a week having lots of sex. He decides that he loves her and wants her to give up her entire life to go with him on tour. She declines because they just met and she has dreams and life goals that don't include becoming a groupie. Says she loves him too and suggests they continue their relationship long distance. He runs as fast as he can away from her like a little bitch and starts banging the first groupie that throws herself at him. Mia flies in to surprise him and she walks in on this. He looks up at her and continues banging the groupie, because he loooves Mia and that's what you do when you really love someone. She's heartbroken, but she moves on with her life. He decides after however many years that she really is the one and comes back to Seattle and weasels his way into her life and she just lets him! Ugh. This is the worst book of the series. I made myself finish it, but I didn't lose the love for this series. I skip this one when I do a reread of the series.

If I could marry into a fictional family, it would be The Sullivans. There’s just something about this big family that makes me melt. So loving and protective, you as a reader definitely feel as if you are a part of this family as you read the books in this series. One of my good friends asked me if the series begins to wane after so many books already in the series. But I told her that I am so invested in these characters that by the end of the book I’m reading, I am pining for the next one already. Bella Andre is able to create characters that you genuinely care about, with real flaws, real conflicts and real issues. And as they find their way to love, you feel a genuine sense of passion and rightness as they each get their happily-ever-afters.

In book 11, Andre gives Mia Sullivan her happiness, but it is far from easy! Five years ago, Mia stood in a packed audience, listening to the sultry, seductive words of rockstar Ford Vincent. Even lost in a crowd, Ford’s eyes locked onto hers and since then, he is all that she has ever wanted. A week together set both aflame, but Mia soon finds out that dating a rock star isn’t possible. Women and fame will always be a part of Ford’s life, leaving no room for her.

It has been years since they went separate ways, but Ford still holds a candle to their time together. When he gets the perfect opportunity to see Mia again, Ford grabs it, not willing to lose her a second time. Though the sparks are still evident between them, they are both more mature now. Furthermore, they are two totally different people, so in order to be together, they have to relearn one another. They have to be friends.

Friends?!

I know what you are thinking. That’s impossible. How could anyone believe that they can go from lovers to friends even with the years between them? Bella Andre shows Mia’s toughened side. She isn’t just willing just accept Ford once again in her life. He hurt her in the past. This time, she will be stronger.

But if you know Andre’s heroes, you know that each one of them is injected in charm and determination, leaving women almost halpless in their presence. Mia holds out for awhile, but even a rock can’t keep resisting the likes of Ford Vincent.

Mia and Ford are freaking adorable! I loved how determined Ford remained through the entire book. His love for Mia shines and while he shows her with his actions and tells her with his words, you start to really believe it once Mia lets her guard down. What I love is what Andre takes her time with this one, never once rushing the progression of hearts. It’s a well-done love story that is thorough and damn sexy to boot!

Andre also nearly had me jumping in my chair with excitement because she reveals who Ian’s heroine will be in this book! Simply saying I am excited for this is a vast understatement. I am SO ready for Ian’s book. His protectiveness over his sister Mia is absolutely hilarious and I cannot wait to his more of his feathers ruffled in his own book.

IT MUST BE YOUR LOVE takes a hot fling and turns it into a love story that stands against the tests of time. A definite must-read!

Favorite Quote:

“Because music can’t tell me when I’m being a self-obsessed jerk. Music can’t light up my day with nothing more than a smile. Music can’t love me back. And—” He paused to gently caress her cheek. “—music will never be you.”

Read for the URR 2017 New Year's Reading Challenge prompt 'Contemporary Romance' AND for the 2017 POPSUGAR Challenge prompt 'A Book You Haven't Read Before from a Series You Have That Never Fails to Make Me Smile'.

14/1 - I don't know if it's me or the book, but I didn't feel the connection between Ford and Mia. I find Andre's couples are a bit hit or miss for me. The writing is never a problem, the insta-love/lust/connection is always there (which is great because it's a feature of Andre's books that I actually like), so the only thing that changes is the couple's dynamic and the personalities of the individuals. I had no problem with the speed with which we went from 'haven't seen you in five years' to 'will you marry me' because Bella Andre could be nicknamed the Insta-Love Queen, she writes it so well. My second favourite part of Andre's long running series is the chance to get to see how the other couples are doing, so the reminiscing and cameos were great. My lowish rating is all down to my 'meh' feeling for Mia and Ford's chemistry. As always I will be back for more the next time I see one at the library.

5 STARS

When I was growing up, my favorite author was Danielle Steel, but about 3 or 4 years ago, when I first got my Nook, I found a free book by Bella Andre. I actually read that book within a few hours and knew that there was no way that I couldn’t buy other books written by this author and that I had found a new favorite author. Since that time, I have come to love Bella’s writing (yes, I read ever single thing that she wrote) and she is still one of my favorite authors. It Must Be Your Love carries on the beautiful and heart-warming stories of the Sullivan’s and I am absolutely amazed that, after 11 books about the same family, everything is still fresh, new and exciting.

Mia Sullivan’s story starts out with some heartache and 2 people who are hopelessly in love with each other. The problem is that a one week affair does not make forever; no matter how hard they fell for each other. It was a wicked week that ended in heartbreak. But, maybe it’s time to put the past to rest, to face the music and move forward, together. Can Ford convince Mia that he want’s forever with her? That she’s the only person that ever held his heart? Can Mia forgive Ford for the way he left her? I honestly think that you know the answers to all these questions so these are just little hints as to how this story progresses.

There is no way to explain how romantic Ford is or how he tries to win her love back. How much he is willing to give up to spend his life with Mia. Everything that he worked for means nothing to him without the love of Mia. It took him five years and a slap in the head to finally realize that there was more to life than music and that there was something or someone missing that would make his life completely whole.
The story flowed from hate to love, from friendship to romance, from lust to love, seamlessly. And, we finally have a wedding that brings all the Sullivan’s together. We get to visit with everyone from San Francisco and celebrate with Marcus and Nicola and end the wedding with a beautiful love song written by none other than Ford Vincent. Awww. Too bad Marcus and Nicola thought he wrote it for them. Rafe and Brook are back and we finally get a glance at Ian and what is in store for him – talk about one, big, happy Sullivan family!

But, most of all, we wishfully hope that somewhere other there, there is a romantic, fun-loving, hot rock star just waiting to sweep us off of our feet. To romance us, to love us unconditionally and make all of our dreams come true. I think we also hope that we are as strong as the Sullivan woman and that we too can overcome the obstacles put in our way to build that bright, happy life with the man that we love. I think that is what I love most about Bella Andre’s writing – she writes characters that aren’t perfect. The men have flaws and insecurities that they have to overcome; the woman are strong, bright and beautiful but also have some problems that have to me solved. We watch as they come together to solve their problems and rely on each other to build a foundation of love and trust.

“No matter how hard he tried to stop it, his brain always circled back to Seattle, where he’d spent one incredible week with the most beautiful girl in the world.”

Addictions come in all shapes and sizes, but nothing feels as indulgent and irresistible to me as a new Bella Andre book. Her books were the reason I got hooked on romance, her sensual love stories making me smile for hours and always being the sweetest escape. The latest instalment in The Sullivans series did not disappoint and, once again, it made me believe in a love that is meant to be.

What would you do if you had met the love of your life too soon in life and were not ready to keep her? Ford Vincent might have the whole world at his feet, his successful music career being everything he had ever wished to achieve professionally, but one regret has always remained: losing Mia Sullivan. Having met when they were both too young to know how to make their relationship work and having spent one unforgettable week in each other’s arms, they parted ways with bitterness and anger. Five years later, Ford is still not over the only woman he ever truly loved. His success fulfils the rebellious little boy inside him who wanted to become his own man and escape the future his parents had planned for him, but his heart is lonely and still aching for the one that got away.

“Five years ago, even though I was an immature punk who didn’t know which way was up, I was smart enough to love you.”

Mia is a successful businesswoman in her own right, independent in every way, and in total control of her life, including the men she casually dates. She has only ever allowed one men to own her heart and has spent the past five years trying to figure out how to get her own heart back. The memory of Ford and their one week of all-consuming passion is still ever-present in her mind, regardless of how hard she tries to forget or how much she tries to convince herself that hate is the only emotion she now feels when she thinks of him.

“Sleeping with Ford was the best sex you can possibly imagine. Being with him was so good it should have taken me hours to recover from each round, but before I could he’d start in on me all over again, and the next thing I knew a week had passed and I’d barely done anything but Ford the whole time.”

When Ford decides to do all that he can to get Mia back and prove to her that he is a changed man, he is prepared to risk it all for her love. But five years is a long time for a woman to feel she had been used, scorned and abandoned, and the last thing on Mia’s mind now is to allow an arrogant and self-entitled rocker back into her life. It starts as a hopeless endeavour which quickly grows into a challenge, Ford being a man in love who is not only willing to fight for their happily ever after, but who is also determined to prove to the object of all his desires that, this time around, he is prepared to take his time to show her exactly what she means to him.

“… if you don’t stop looking at me like that in public, they’re going to figure out that there’s more than business between us.”
“How am I looking at you?”
“Like I’m Little Red to your big bad wolf.”
“Well,” he said slowly, “I do want to eat you.”

What follows is a deliciously erotic little game of cat and mouse, where their unquestionable attraction and pent-up hunger for one another are only matched by Ford’s determination to redeem himself to Mia and their mutual desire to finally build something long-lasting between them. They might have met at the wrong time in their lives and not known what to do with the conflicting pressures of commitment and ambition, but five years later, Ford and Mia are two people who not only know what they want in life, but, most importantly, they know exactly how much they are willing to sacrifice this time around to seize happiness once and for all.

“Music can’t love me back. And… music will never be you.”

Once again, the loving support of family is the binding theme in this series and it acts as a reminder of what the characters all individually strive to find in their own personal lives. No man is an island and when you’re part of the Sullivan clan, you have always known what being loved feels like and how much stronger you are as a person for having known such love. But loving each other means little if two people are not on the same page, willing to put each other first and fight with all their might to stay together. As always, Bella Andre manages to find the perfect balance between romance and steam, giving us another addictive Sullivans fairy tale, another couple to adore and another delicious happily ever after to re-awaken the dreamers in all of us.

“There are a million beautiful women out there, but there’s never been anyone like you.”

My thoughts and feelings while reading:

5.0% Once upon a time, he’d believed that his music, his guitar, and his songs were everything he needed. But tonight, as his tour bus roared down yet another highway to yet another stadium, Ford finally realized that his songs and audiences could never even come close to filling the hole inside of him. Only one thing—only one person—had ever been able to do that. Only Mia Okay, I think I'm going to like Ford! :) <3

8.0% Mia Sullivan was meant to be fire and sparks. Cool meant that he was losing her. He’d lost her once. No matter what he had to do, he wouldn’t lose her again. I wonder what Ford did to make her so mad?!?

14.0% Just being near her tore his control to shreds. Loving the tension between these two can't wait to see them finally give in to it! ;)

19.0% It took no effort whatsoever to say, “I’m sorry, but I can’t,” and slide completely out of his arms. Not the way it had nearly killed her to walk away from Ford this morning after one kiss. Especially when one kiss from Ford had never, ever been enough... Come on Mia, just give in already - let Ford show you he's changed!!! :)

31.0% The problem was that just watching Nicola walk down the aisle had been enough to get her choked up, and when Marcus had been too impatient to stop himself from running down the aisle to steal his bride away from her father...well, could there be any more beautiful example of just how much he loved her? That was sooo cute - I love Marcus!! <3

Suddenly it hit her: It was exactly how Ford had looked when he first saw her walk into the tower on Friday morning! Yes it was - now just talk to him and live HEA! (Dont think its going to be that easy though)"

32.0% Mia had been to at least a dozen weddings by her late twenties—weddings that were fun and happy events, but where everyone was so careful to follow the rules. Only at her cousins’ weddings were those rule books tossed out the window. Love was the only thing that mattered, and the I do’s would happen in their own good time. And those weddings are the best ones!! <3

35.0% The blood was pumping in his veins at the thought of opening himself up to her. It would be easier to continue to keep his feelings about his family hidden. Go on Ford, you can do it!!! <3

36.0% How am I looking at you?” “Like I’m Little Red to your big bad wolf.” “Well,” he said slowly, “I do want to eat you.” Okay, officially loving these two!!! <3

42.0% Sometimes,” he said very seriously, “fifteen minutes is all it takes for your entire life to change.” That was quite cute Ford!! <3

47.0% “Of course I want to have sex with you, Mia. And if I thought I could get to your heart that way, you’d better believe you would be naked and coming beneath me right now.” Every inch of her skin went hot and damp at the crazy-hot picture he’d just painted, even as he growled, “How many times do I have to tell you I want more from you than your body?” Okay just fell for Ford!!

58.0% “Go.” Her eyes were dark with need, and he knew it cost her just as much to say that one word as it did for him to obey it. Somehow, he made his feet take him one step away from her, and then another and another, until the front door was at his back. Jeez, that kiss was HOT! <3

59.0% His lips curved up slightly as though he could read her mind. “I want to kiss you so badly, Mia, it’s nearly ripping me in two.” Ford says the best things - love the chemistry between these two! Can't wait to they finally give in!! <3

63.0% But before she could do more than skim her fingers over his warm muscles, he took her hands in both of his and kissed them. “If you keep touching me, we won’t make it into the shower, Mia.” I love it when a man can't keep his control for a woman! :) <3

64.0% No, not weakness at all. Because when she and Ford came together, it was the biggest, boldest force she’d ever known. One that only a truly brave man or woman could withstand. <3

75.0% Whatever it takes to win them and your parents over, I’ll do it.” “No.” Her response was fierce. “You can’t change who you are for anyone. Promise me you’ll just be yourself, egomaniac rock star and all.” Aww!! I'm loving these two!! <3 <3 love that Mia won't let him be anyone but himself!

80.0% "Even though I know my entire family is standing at the front window watching us right now, if you don’t start the car in the next couple of seconds, I’m going to jump you anyway.” <3 go Mia!!! Haha

82.0% Show me what a bad girl you are by coming apart for me, Mia. Just like this, in the car, with my fingers inside you.” Oh yes, he thought as her climax approached like a runaway train, she still loved dirty talk. Me too Mia! Dirty talk is HOT!

92.0% Mia knew that she would truly do anything for the man she loved. Even if it meant letting him go Nooooo Mia!!!!!!!!

94.0% “I used to think love was all about the grand gesture, red roses, and sunset serenades. But now I know love is wanting you to be everything you’re meant to be and never wanting you to push away a part of yourself for any reason. Not even for me. I don’t need you to run through a burning building for me or to write me a love song to know that your love is real. <3"

100.0% Great story I loved it! Excited to read Ian and Tatiana's story next! That looks like it's going be a bumpy ride!

Comments: This was a wonderful re-kindling romance. Ford was serious about winning his love back. His life was great in his career but without love it wasn't as important anymore. He hasn't thought about anyone else since Mia. Mia tried to put Ford out of her mind and heart but she never met anyone since that caused her heart or libido to stir. She didn't trust him at first but he was determined to do whatever it took to win her back into his life. He wanted marriage and a family.
I like how all the Sullivan stories are interconnected and we to enjoy other family members and dynamics. In this story Marcus and Nicola were married at his Napa Valley Winery by his mom Mary. At the wedding Ford was invited by Nicola and they sat at the same table. They were caught with their first kiss in a barn by her big brother Ian (divorced) and Tatiana, Valentina's sister the actress. Ian was going to beat Ford up, but Mia intervened, and Ford just received a threat. Ford had his work cut out to convince 5 males in the Sullivan family he was serious and could make Mia happy. Eventually Ford earned Mia's trust and then they were free to make love all the time and they did. Whew! hot hot hot. He asked her to marry him at his new house and she said yes. I'sm looking forward to the next story of Ian and Tatiana which was set up in the Epilogue.

It Must Be Your Love the 11th book in the Sullivans series but 2nd for the Seattle Sullivans.
Mia Sullivan and Ford Vincent met five years ago, and for one week they were together, that was only in bed, but then it ended and ended badly.
Now five years later, Ford is back and he wants Mia back in his life, to apologize, to ask to start over and he is hoping to start a life together to have love, marriage and family that he has always wanted.
But Mia doesn't take him being back very well. She keeps telling him no, but once Ford starts talking about his past and sharing his life, that he didn't before, with her she can't resist. She tries to keep a distance where her heart is concerned but he makes her melt.
"You have millions of fans. Everyone around the world love your songs. How can that not be enough?"
"Because music can't tell me when I;m being a self-obsessed jerk. Music can't light up my day with nothing more than a smile. Music can't love me back. And--" He pause to gently caress her cheek."--music will never be you."

sweetlove
"I've never been more serious about anyone or anything in my life,Mia. I want you back."
"Why do you keep pushing when I've already said no so many times?"
"Because what I see in your eyes, and what I feel in your touch, have both told me something else entirely."

couple embracing love
And yet, as she slipped into sleep in his arms, even though they were in his tour bus rather than his new house, just holding her made him feel like he was finally home.
It finally comes clears to Mia that she still loves Ford and wants to have life with him.
"You're the person I want to laugh with. You're the person I want to cry with. You're the person I want to tell all of my secrets to. You're the first one I want to call when I close a big deal and also to make up new curse words with when one goes bad. You're my best friend, Ford, and I know you always will be. I'm saying that I want to be yours in exactly every possible way."

It Must Be Your Love was great book to read. I couldn't put it down. It was awe inspiring about their love, the family and support. It was sweet but also HOT, and had great humor. I am very much looking forward to Ian's book Just To Be With You, I can't wait for it. :)

I love Bella Andre's books and I really love the Sullivans series. This is a nice addition but it didn't particularly stand out to me. I thought Ford was a little on the bland side. I didn't walk away from reading this asking myself 'where do I find myself one of those?'

Mia and Ford had 5 days of bliss 5 years ago. Now with emotional growth on both their parts, Ford recognizes he needs to put on his big boy pants to look for the girl he shouldn't have let get away. We spend this journey watching them learn to trust each other and become friends. Not just two people with sizzling chemistry. Along the way, we are visited by other Sullivans we've met previously, mainly at Marcus and Nico's wedding (finally!).

Maybe I just needed more conflict in the reconciliation? It just fell into place too smoothly for me.

Well, this one was just okay for me!
Shrug your shoulders photo: tumblr_lagkenatbR1qzjix8.gif

This was just your basic love story with no angst or drama, so at times I found myself getting a little bored. I know I'm in the minority with this rating, but I really don't have a whole lot to say about this book since really nothing dramatic took place. That's not to say that Bella is not a good writer, because she is! I've loved some of her other books, but this one just kind of fell short for me!

Well, as the saying goes "you win some, you lose some", on to my next read!

Oh this book is soooo good!!!!! I love the Sullivans & each new book just keeps making the series better & better. The history between Ford & Mia is hot & sad. The fact that it's taken 5 yrs for Ford to figure out what it is he wants is WOW & Mia is what he wants. Mia's not sure about anything & she can't believe that Ford really loves her. Slowly he shows her what it is he truly wants & the sparks start flying. This series is fantastic & I can't wait for the next one to come out. Spring 2014 is too long to wait for Ian's story. Definitely a hell yeah I'd recommend this book, you hit another home run Bella.

Premise: Rock star sees pretty girl in audience, their eyes meet & they fall instantly in love. They spend a week together mostly in bed. He goes back on the road, she surprises him a week later at a concert only to have her heart broken when she finds him with another girl. They don't see each other or communicate for five years. One day he sees a photo of that long ago concert when they met, realizes she is the love of his life & he needs to get her back.......

I just love read about this family.
They are all so "nice" and happy!
Mia and Ford already had a story when they met again... but although all the hurt that they have had in this last five years, they just couldn't resist to each other...

.... and by the way.... we have a preview of the next story about Tatiana and Ian.... :D

It must be your love ...

Frankly, she still wasn't sure whom she'd hated more: him for being a bastard, or herself for being so weak. And so stupid.

מיה נשמע כמו אישה חזקה...

In that first moment that Mia set eyes on Ford, look- ing gorgeous and strong as he stood in the tower, her heart had leaped as if he were the fairy-tale prince finally coming to wake her from her emotional slum- ber with his kiss of true love. By moment two, thank God, she'd remembered the truth of who he really was.

וכן, היא חזקה... אבל הספר מ.ש.ע.מ.ם.!

I love second chance romances! This is Mia's story. She met Ford, who is a rock star, 5 years ago. We get the story of their first meeting and breakup. Then we meet them again when Ford engages her real estate firm to find him a house in Seattle. He is determined to win Mia back and goes to great lengths to do so. Love this one!

Favorite Quote: “How am I looking at you?” “Like I’m Little Red to your big bad wolf.” “Well,” he said slowly, “I do want to eat you.”

Mia Sullivan, a real estate agent, met and fell in love with the famous rock star Ford Vincent. After spending a sexually charged week together, Ford asked Mia to join him on tour but in the seconds she hesitated, Ford got angry and left her. Now five years later, Ford realizes he behaved abominably. He has never stopped loving Mia and decides to try to get her back.

Mia still harbors feelings for Ford but his actions five years ago broke her heart and she has no intention of allowing that to happen again. Their reconnection slams the door wide open to same chemistry and passion that held them hostage to one another five years ago. But this time around, Ford will have to convince Mia he wants it all…with her.

It Must Be Your Love is the eleventh book in Bella Andre’s Sullivan series. These Sullivans are cousins to the original Sullivans on which the series started. The story opens to rock star Ford Vincent finishing a concert and secretly wondering where his life is going. While reviewing video clips for a documentary being filmed about his life, he sees an old concert clip that takes him back in time to the woman he fell in love with and lost-Mia Sullivan. Immature and insecure, he screwed up and let her go. He now knows what he wants out of life and it’s her but he has his work cut out for him. He knows she will never agree to see him so he uses his lawyer to get him a house showing through Mia’s company on the sly. Once he gets a foot inside her door, he vows he will win her back.

I liked this one but didn’t love it. Steady pacing and a well-balanced couple make for a fast read. If nothing else, Ford and Mia have great chemistry and some delicious dialogue. A basic though super sexy romance that follows a pretty predictable path. The beginning caught my eye as Ford and Mia each relive what happened five years ago and the moment they both lost it. Nice tension and angst. I love seeing love gone bad from dual POVs because something is inevitably revealed that makes you go, “Oh…NOW I understand…” I enjoyed Mia’s strength in the face of Ford’s return and the fact that one kiss and an “I’m sorry,” doesn’t make her fall on her back in forgiveness. What Ford did was pretty bad in my opinion but his plan to get back into her life and heart is sweet and goes far in showing his maturity and heartfelt intentions.

The push and pull are intriguing but low key and over pretty quickly. Mia and Ford are well matched with his low key alpha male tendencies and Mia’s strong independence. This time around, communication is a premium between them. Mia tells Ford in the beginning there is no way she will ever be his again and she has good reasons for it. Kudos to Ford for sticking it out. He knows now that they need a solid base on which to rebuild their love and he realises that building a friendship is what they should have done in the beginning. So he woos her with kisses, picnics, more kisses, long talks, and even more kisses. After a week or so, Mia pretty much gives in though she denies it to herself and Ford.

The inclusion of the extended Sullivan family and meeting Mia’s brother Ian’s potential match up was more a highlight for me. I love the Sullivans of the past and it was interesting to see what they were up to now. I think because this storyline centered mainly on Mia and Ford’s reconciliation without too much external influences, it fell flat for me in comparison to previous installments. This couple click so well together they seemed to mow over any obstacles that Andre attempted to put in their path.

It Must Be Your Love is a sweet sexy love story between two soul mates who are given a rare second chance at happiness.

RATING: C+

The couple: Ford and Mia

Romance genre: contemporary; second chance
Series: Sullivans (Seattle Sullivans)
Length: 400 pages

Plot: Ford, one of the hottest rockstars alive, and Mia, a hotshot realtor, have a secret: they had a week-long heated affair many years ago. It ended badly though and they didn't tell anyone but simply went on with their lives. But neither of them has forgotten the other, and now Ford's back. Mia first runs into him when he books a house showing without letting her know it was him making the appointment. She's very surprised to walk in and see her long-lost love, and she quickly lets him know that she wants nothing to do with him. Ford doesn't give up that easy though. She sees him again at her cousin's wedding, and in this set of scenes, we get to meet big brother Ian also. Ford is frustrated that Mia won't give him the time of day, but he's working the long game here. His plan is to not only make up for his behavior in the past but also make Mia see that she is his future. They have some obstacles to overcome, but love is stronger than whatever else is coming their way.

Commentary: Somebody knock Ford upside the head, quick! I'm glad these two got their second chance, and they probably weren't really ready for each other the first time around, but the way he threw that ultimatum on her and then let her see him with another girl - just class immature selfish behavior, and the reason I'm always a little wary of rockstar romances (obviously anyone can act like that, but cliches and all!).
**I went back and double-checked: he didn't "let" her see him with another girl. She decided to go to him a week after they broke up (which was because he pretty much demanded that she leave everything and everyone to travel with him and then got mad when she didn't respond right away) and when she got there he had a half-naked girl on his lap. He says he didn't have anyone in the intervening week and the girl on his lap didn't mean anything. Okay buddy.
Anyways, Young Ford was very immature, but as reckless as the affair was, Young Mia kind of impressed me. She was enamored of Ford but still didn't jump up to follow him right away - she knew her worth. Her going after him a week later stemmed more from heartbreak than it did from love, I think.
Anyway, not my favorite of the series (because rockstars in general - although props to him offering to give it all up and meaning it), but still a solid 4-star read.

Next book in the series: Just To Be With You

Ford and Mia met five years ago, fell in love and then it all went to shit because Ford was an immature jerk. Yes, I think that pretty much sums it up.

Thing is, they never stopped loving each other. So, present day, Ford decides that all his fame is nothing compared to having Mia in his life and he decides to get her back.

Just for some background...

Mia is the youngest Sullivan from Seattle. She's got four older brothers, one of whom we met in the previous book - Rafe - and another, Ian, who'll be featured in the next one. She's cousin to the San Francisco Sullivan's we fell in love with. When she met Ford, she was 23 years old and just getting a big break on her career as a realtor. In the five years since, she's grown a successful business but hasn't been able to connect with any other man.

Ford is a rock star. A big one. He's got awards, platinum albums, sold out concerts and a big fan base to back it up. The first time he saw Mia in the audience at one of his shows, he just knew he had to have her. He truly fell in love with her, but he was immature and his ego and pride got in the way. He went from show to show, from woman to woman, just trying to forget her, but never quite got there. And, 5 years later, he finally - hallelujah! - accepts that he won't be happy without Mia.

They meet again and the sparks fly, but Mia is one tough cookie to break and she's maaad at the way Ford blindsed her into their encounter. He quickly realizes the way to Mia's heart is gonna be a long one, but he's determined to prove himself and to show her how much he loves her.

It's beautiful to watch their love for each other grow back. Ford has really matured and he became a great man. He's patient, kind and loving, breaking down the walls Mia erected around her heart a little bit at a time.

Some might find that there's something missing in the book, as there's no big conflict getting in the way of the happy ever after. But I think that's what makes it so special and believable. After reading so many romances lately, I'll say there's much to be said for a believable story. Bella is great with the dialogues and there's just the right balance between hot and sweet, love and lust.

I also loved catching up with past characters at Marcus and Nicola's wedding and finding out who'll be Ian's love lady. I did not see that one coming and I can't wait for Spring!

An ARC copy provided for an honest review.

I can’t believe that I’ve read 11 books from the same series. If this says something, then it says that the series is amazing. This book is not different from any other book from this series. This book is so sweet. It is this kind of books that leaves you sighing and wishing to have a romance that look like that one.

Mia had been in love five years ago with a rock star. They met in one of his concert and then he wanted her to leave her life and join him in his tour, but when she hesitated his heart broke and he left and he-I don't know if this is the accurate word- cheated on her, but five years later he realized his mistake and he wanted back. Of course having Mia's won't be that easy. I honestly loved Ford, he had shitty parents; you know them, the ones who don't give a damn unless you embarrass them in public and he wanted someone to love him for who he was, not someone else and he found that in Mia. He knew that Mia was the one for him and he didn't give up on her. He is famous, but never once I felt that he is egomaniac or something, he reminds me a lot with Nicol, who happened to be his friend.

Mia is a strong girl; she held her ground for five years and now when Ford wanted her she held herself together. I loved that she didn't make it easy for him to get back to her. She made sure that this time he won't leave her when things gets hard.

I loved the plot with all my heart, but what I loved the most is Nicol's and Marcus' wedding. It gave us the HEA of them. I also loved the bonus chapter from Ian's and Tatiana's POV, I can't wait for their story to be out. I can't believe I actually have to wait for this story after reading the past eleven ones all together without waiting. This series is totally addictive. Anyone who didn't read it, needs to read them all. Hope you like them.

Favorite Quote:

“Because music can’t tell me when I’m being a self-obsessed jerk. Music can’t light up my day with nothing more than a smile. Music can’t love me back. And—” He paused to gently caress her cheek. “—music will never be you.”

First let me say, not only is this my favorite Sullivan book now, it is also the best book I have read this year. Bella Andre outdid herself in this novel. There were so many things to love in addition to the story of the main couple.

Let me start by saying if you are fan of Marcus and Nicola, you will love this book. Marcus and Nicola are my favorite couple of the Sullivan series. And in this book we get to read about their wedding! I was so teary at the way Ms. Andre wrote the wedding scenes. We get to actually read their vows. It's super romantic and it's nice to read about how this couple has stayed strong over time. It was such a nice surprise because in the other books, while we get a glimpse of the other Sullivans, in this book we get so much more of them. All the Sullivan ladies are at the wedding and I really loved the chapter about Nicola's bachelorette party and getting to see them bond and talk. Even if I hated Mia and Ford's story (which of course I didn't) it would have been worth it to just read about how the Sullivans we came to love are doing.

So onto Ford and Mia. So sweet. I love Mia. She is beautiful, independent, fiesty. I loved that she did not fall back into Ford's arms the minute he decides he wants her back. And Ford, how can you not drool over how much he loves Mia and what he does to get her back. The flashbacks on when they fell in love and what tore them apart were nicely written to give us a glimpse of who they were so that we could see how much they had both grown. Together as a couple they were so wonderful to read about. Lots of heartfelt and steamy scenes. I love the second chance trope. And this one was beautifully written.

The other thing Ms Andre does a little differently in this book is she gives us way more of a glimpse into the next couple's story. We meet Ian (Mia's brother who I think may replace Marcus as my fav) and Tatiana(Valentina's sister). The sparks are wow! We get almost an entire chapter of their meeting. I already love them and am salivating for the next book about them.

Oh my god I just can't get enough of the Sullivan's!
I actually ache when I read about their family reunions. I wish I could find something like that -not saying my family isn't great in their own crazy loving ways- but the Sullivan's are just... Wow. Suddenly you feel like having one sibling and maybe a handful of cousins from the age of 6 to 30 isn't enough lol

There aren't many series where you still feel excited about the next book when there are so many books already in it but with this series you just get more and more sucked into their spectacular world. I can't get enough. I would read about the Sullivan's on NYC and Maine too, that's how much I love this. You want everyone to be happy and Bella always delivers in the most romantic, heart melting and beautiful way that you can imagine.

Seeing more of the original siblings on Nico's and Marcus' wedding was just the icing on the cake. I totally fell for this story and the other brothers. I want Dylan all to myself!

Mia and Ford are just so perfect for one another. What I loved about this story is that there isn't drama from the beginning to the very end. You get to relax and still feel a little anxious about what's to come bit its just so perfect and effortless. Second chances are the very best cause you know what you lose, you realize how vital and important a person can be in your life, and it makes you appreciate them that much more, has you hanging onto them that much harder.

Gahhh Ian's book can't get here soon enough, a cynic kinda broken man with a gorgeous sweet fairy-tales-do-happen girl. It will be epic!

Btw... Zach is totally owns my dog and cars loving heart.

A MUST READ. Every romance reader should have this author on their library. She's the best!

Dear. Bella, thank you for the countless hours of entertainment and pleasure.

Review:

"It Must Be Your Love" by Bella Andre was the eleventh in The Sullivan's series. This novel was about Mia Sullivan and Ford Victor. We find Mia is a Seattle Realtor who had grown to love Ford
Victor who was a 'rock star' but that had been five years ago. After spending a week with this star and had truly enjoyed the time with Ford but it hadn't worked out for Mia. Now saying and thinking that she never wanted to have anything to do with him, she is now been brought back into his life. Why was this? Ford Victor is use to getting what he wanted and after five years he finally still knew
he wanted Mia. How would he make that happen because that was not in the cards for Mia? Would the years that had past help them sort out their problems that had held them back from having a lasting relationship? With Mia refusing not to ever let any man hurt her again what will come from all of this? To get all of the answers to these questions and much more you will have to pick up "It Must Be Your Love" to see how this will all come out for Mia and Ford. It will be a little bumpy but in the end well you will have to read it for yourself. Be ready for a wonderful read of how to young and immature people finally are... Will they be able to stay together and make it work this time? I did love how the author was able to bring out more on the secondary characters as we get more input on Mia's and Ford's families. This definitely added to the enrichment of the read. Now, for the next series...The Sullivans Series # 12 which features Ian Sullivan and Tatiana Landon.
