Review: Cover art catches the eye and you can never miss with a cute dog.

This got really high reviews so maybe it is a girl thing. I just didn’t get it. Tongue and cheek comedy at a constant churn and a cutsey talking dog named Pirate got really old. Hot bod Dimitri/Griffon husband casting stern glances at everyone with Lizzie constantly on the horn dog. There is also a dragon in the backyard and some demon spawn in the garage. Yay!

Each scene is stretched out for-fuggin’-ever. And the dialogue that entwines itself within is tedious and mundane. Especially with her estranged Dad, the fallen Angel. Gonna have to give this a skip.

Even though this is not the first of the series, it is the first book by this author that I have read. I really enjoyed the story and to me it was a fast read.

I received this from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

If you want fun, witty banter mixed with gritty action and garnished with a pinch of steamy romance, then Beverly Hills Demon Slayer is the book for you. I was so happy to be back in this world.

After her wedding to Dimitri, Lizzie was looking forward to a normal life, enjoying marital bliss. Is that too much to ask for? Evidently, it is when you are a demon slayer. It is back to business when Lizzie senses a strong demonic presence coming from Beverly Hills. She tracks it to a new church that has sprouted up claiming youth, peace and vitality to its members, but at what cost? With the help of her sexy shape-shifter husband and the biker witches, Lizzie will have her hands full trying to bring this demon under control. Is she up to the task, or will this one be too much for her?

Angie Fox does a great job creating characters that are enjoyable and entertaining but also complex and diverse. She is able to balance light, fun moments with dark and action-packed segments smoothly into an interesting read. Lizzie is one kick-ass demon slayer. Lizzie, Dimitri and the biker witches make a great team. Got to love those grandma biker witches! No nursing home for them!! I recommend this book along with the rest of the Demon Slayer series.

If you haven't read Angie Fox's Biker Witches Mysteries I highly recommend them. The First book in the series is The Accidental Demon Slayer which is currently free on kindle right now!

This is such a fun refreshing series. I mean come on, we have Biker Grandmas on Harleys that help a demon slayer kick ass! It is so funny and I love the originality!

In Beverly Hills Demon Slayer Lizzie is tracking a demon that has set up shop in a cult like church. It is up to Lizzie along with the gang of Biker Witches and her yummy husband to track it down.

This time around Lizzie gets more than she can handle. The demon gets a hold of her soul!

What makes these novels so great is the humor. I'm constantly laughing. I think Pirate is my absolute favorite! I wish my dogs could talk to me. I imagine it would be much the same.

I think Beverly Hills Demon Slayer is by far my favorite so far. Lizzie goes through so much. She grows, learns and sacrifices. I found myself going through the range of emotions while reading this book. I love that!

It so hard because I just want to gush about this book. I just don't want to give anything away. Trust me read the series! If you like PNR and UF Angie Fox's Biker Witches Mysteries are fast paced, funny, sexy, action packed and should not be missed!...Sara

Facing demons from the past, quite literally, Lizzie Brown her her gang of quirky friends are off on another high octane, laugh out loud adventure in Beverly Hills Demon Slayer.

It all started with a strange porthole opening up on the beach right behind Lizzie's and her hunky new husband's condo. The honeymoon is officially over. A dog-like creature, a cult, a strange evil permeating the California coast, a succubus that wants to be good, and a girls-only block party all make this story truly outrageously funny. But if that isn't enoug,h Angie Fox's writing style of a meaty plot accented by that funny makes Beverly Hills Demon Slayer a winner all around.

I laughed, I cried, and I laughed some more. If you can get all those emotions out of me, you've got a wonderfully enjoyable story to invest some serious reading time in.

For some reason, both books with Lizzie's dad were downers for me. How many times can he disappoint for her to finally get that he is a loser? I'll admit that at one point she seemed to have gotten it in this one, but then gets roped into doing something completely bloody stupid and has no idea how bad a decision it was until she literally releases a demon on Earth. Lizzie drove me crazy in that she didn't even realize how "off" she was after that last meeting with her dad. Shiloh on the other hand was a hit and although comes across kinda ditzy, was actually pretty smart and courageous. I'm still not quite sure about the end where Rachmort, Carpenter, Shiloh, and her husband survive Purgatory or whatever that ice place was, without any explanation as to how, only who was the key. As usual, some of my favorite scenes include Dimitri and luckily, he was the key to Lizzie's survival. And what does dear old dad do again? You got it, but more disappointing is how Lizzie seems to think she can now understand his fall from grace. Uh no, no you didn't go there. The man is still irredeemable.

Not that I didn't still find this entertaining, just not as a favorite. When Lizzie does really dumb things, I gnash my teeth and grit my way past those scenes until she shapes back up again. I don't expect her to be perfect, just don't be so surprised when you do something that others would have frowned at. Although honestly, the witches did push her into this. And even though I love these characters, I have to admit, I cannot imagine any grandmother or elderly person being as wacky as these women are. Probably why I enjoy this series so much. The characters are really fun and honestly likeable.

Frolicking fun

There's a new cult in town, but when Lizzie tries to join undercover, the magic artifact rejects her. Now she's wondering about why the leader, with whom she's very familiar, has started this cult and why two others from her close chosen family have been accepted into the cult. She's going to need to rely on friends and family for Intel to help her cast a strong demon to the closest level of hell.

The characters and plot are great, the pacing good, and lots of twists and turns to keep you amused. If you like urban fantasy, are a fan of Sam Cheever's Bedeviled series, and root a heroine who has lots of grit, then this is a good series to try.

Anyone up for a "demon" of a party?

Stunning! Parties should be fun, unless they're hosted by a demon. Going undercover sounds like a good idea but that might be wrong if you take a talking dog, an overprotective guardian husband and your Grandma's biker witches with you. Loved the plot. Great lines and the images this invoked. A must read.

This is the 6th book in the Demon Slayer series and it doesn’t let you down. It, like the others can be read as a standalone book. Filled with wonky magick, demons and so much more this book keeps you reading and addicted from beginning to end. I loved it!

Opening Scene:

A loud thud jarred me awake.

The Review:

Lizzie wakes up in the middle of the night to a strange noise that only she hears. Finding a creature from purgatory is not what she expects, finding out that there is a new religious cult with strange artifacts and a gateway to hell, makes for a really bad time. Enlisting the help of a half demon and her biker witch buddies and of course her sexy griffin husband at least keeps things interesting. But will Lizzie manage to infiltrate the church or will she have to sacrifice more than she ever bargained for to prevent a demon from rising?

Notable Scene:

“Is it demonic?” Dimitri asked, his voice low.
“It’s violent and in pain.” I didn’t know any more than that.
The night was completely silent, as if it were waiting too. I vowed to start keeping a flashlight next to the bed as we padded down the short carpeted hallway. Dimitri edged slightly ahead of me as we hit the stairs.
He raised the stick and I caught a movement at the bottom a split second after he did. Dimitri charged after it. I hurried right behind him and hit the light.
Good thing my husband was a look-first-and-bash-later type because my dog, Pirate, stood in the hardwood entryway, his tail wagging like it was three in the afternoon.
He gave a wet doggy snurfle. “What’s going on? Are we having breakfast?”
Dimitri scanned the room behind Pirate. “Lizzie heard a noise.”
Ooh, fun!” My dog whipped his stubby tail hard enough to stir up a breeze. “What did it sound like?”
Interesting that he didn’t know. Pirate could normally hear the mailman from two blocks away.

Beverly Hills Demon Slayer by Angie Fox is book #6 in the Demon Slayer series. It had all of the humor, snark and plots twists that Angie Fox is known for in this series.

Lizzie Brown and her new husband, Dimitri, have now moved to California. After moving into a condo near the beach with "normal" people they are trying to enjoy their honeymoon. Lizzie is awakened by an unusal sound on the beach near their condo in the early morning hours Some one has opened a portal and dropped off a fenris (a wolf/dog creature from Purgatory). Dimitri and Lizzie decide to call in Shiloh to help them with this new creature since they have no clue about it or why the portal has been opened. Shiloh, half-succubus/half-human character was a great addition to this gang and she added a new dimension to this quirky gang.

As the plot moves forward, Lizzie has to deal with her fallen angel Dad (who is the one who dropped off the fenris), his cult and the Earl of Hell who wants to take over the world again. Lizzie calls on the Red Skulls to help her get information and she has to allow evil to touch her soul. It was good to see Lizzie more confident now in herself and her powers. She doesn't know everything yet and she has trouble admitting that to everyone. She is also still trying to protect Dimitri which I find touching and frustrating.

As usual, Angie has filled this book with humor, sexy times for Lizzie and Dimitri and lots of plot twists. I laughed out loud while reading several times which is something that I know will happen with Angie's Demon Slayer series. The writing is fast paced and never slowed down until you read "The End". This is an easy and fun read for any one who enjoys a paranormal trip into a fully developed world of good and evil.

I want to confess that I did miss Grandma and the biker witches because they didn't play a big part in this story.

This is a book that is in the Demon Slayer series. This is book #6 in the series and in this book, Lizzie Brown is in Beverly Hills, CA.

In this book, Lizzie is for new adventures and as like in previous books, it is just as exciting before. This book starts with some weird portal opening up right behind Lizzie and Dimitri’s condo which brought a snarling beast.

I do want to make one comment to let readers know:. Don’t let the title of the book fool you. Nothing about Beverly Hills is about shopping, movies, club hopping - It is about Lizzie dealing with her fallen angel Dad, his cult and the Earl of Hell who wants to take over the world.

The action is outstanding! Poor Lizzie-I can tell throughout the book-she just wants to be a normal new bride; she wants to enjoy the new bride experience but she is having to save the world. Not to say she isn’t getting sex but she isn’t getting it in bed, just everywhere else LOL.

What makes this book outstanding is the writing and the humor. I could not put this book down. I found myself laughing out loud throughout the book. Then found myself fanning myself when Lizzie and Dimintri would get hot n heavy. Oh My. Loved the scenes with the talking dog, and also Shiloh, the half human half succubus. Only slight issue I do have is I wish Grandma and her gang of biker witches would have had more page time. Hopefully in the next book, they will.

Without giving any spoilers, I will say I really liked the ending to “Beverly Hills Demon Slayer”

Pace: Fast, furious, and potent
Enjoyability: I'd happily do a re-read.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This series has really hit its stride with this one! First, I don't think you can just pick this series up in the middle -- go back to the beginning so you can appreciate our wonderful Demon Slayer and how far she's come! Second, I think this one really balanced the wife Demon Slayer, the bad decision making Demon Slayer, and the friendly Demon Slayer to make a truly awesome read.

Lizzie is still being her zany Demon Slayer self. She's romping around having sex with her hottie husband everywhere except the bedroom. She's still being plagued with inappropriately timed Demon Slayer nonsense that won't give her a moment's rest. This story revolved around the resurfacing of an old annoyance. Of course, Lizzie is the only one who can stop what will probably amount to the end of the world. She will probably have to sacrifice herself (again). You know the drill, but this time she made friends, and met old friends, too!

OK, so the writing is easy and the story is relatively self explanatory (no major cliffhangers or "a-ha" moments), but the humor is what keeps me hooked on this series. It's laugh out loud hilarious at times and always has me smiling. Even when things are looking really bad for Lizzie and the gang, the sarcastic wit always manages to put a positive (sort of) spin on things. I mean, c'mon, there's still a talking dog! Who doesn't love a talking dog?

I'm really happy that these book keep getting better and better. I can't get enough of this hilarious bunch of misfits and their antics. Who can tell where these stories will end up? I am eager to read as many of these stories as I can!

Review courtesy of Romance Junkies

Lizzie Brown-Kallinikos is a butt-kicking demon slayer. She is one of the world’s strongest and powerful slayers descended from an impressive line of demon slaying ancestors. Lizzie and her were-gryphon protector are newlyweds starting their new lives in California. Their brief peace is disrupted by the arrival of a demonic beast at their home. The creature proves to be a harbinger to trouble that Lizzie and her husband Dimitri must thwart from happening.
Pirate, the talking dog, and the biker witches make the series for me. They never cease to entertain me with their off-the-wall, zany antics and funny commentary. I approve how the author has a minor character, one that Lizzie had dealt with before in a previous book, in a more supporting role instead of Dimitri, Pirate, or the biker witches.
I have anticipated this book since the author announced she was returning to THE ACCIDENTAL DEMON SLAYERS series. This book did not disappoint my expectations and it follows the trend that had enraptured me of this series. I do hope Angie Fox plans to incorporate Shiloh, her husband Damien and the necromancer Evan Carpenter in upcoming books. I believe the author could easily do a spin off series with Evan as a main lead. The necromancer’s appearance may have been a short one but I bonded with him. My only complaint is that I feel like I missed out on some vital information by not reading MY BIG FAT DEMON SLAYING WEDDING.
BEVERLY HILLS DEMON SLAYER is the sixth book in THE ACCIDENTAL DEMON SLAYERS series. It is equally quirky and fun as much as its predecessors and promises more hilarity to come in upcoming books.

BEVERLY HILLS DEMON SLAYER is a fun book with some wacky dialogue, wonky magic, and weird creatures. This was yet another series that I am starting six books in but luckily it can be read as a standalone. The plot is pretty straightforward and even at its darkest moments it is able to keep things pretty light with a witty comment or two. I liked the interesting demon slayer magic that is used by Lizzie and how it is linked to goodness and light in opposition to evil and dark magic. The pacing is fast and I was actually surprised at how quickly I breezed through this book.

BEVERLY HILLS DEMON SLAYER not only has some exciting demon slayer action scenes, it also is absolutely hilarious especially with a cast of characters that include a talking dog, a guard dragon, and a half-human, half-succubus with a pet hellhound. Some of my favorite characters are Lizzie’s grandma and her biker witches. Yes, these are a group of ladies of varying ages who ride motorcycles and practice witchcraft while being generally awesome and badass. My only complaint is that they weren’t in the story more.

This story is thrilling and hilarious with a most excellent kick ass heroine surrounded by a super quirky motley crew of misfits I fell in love with immediately. Now I have to go back to the beginning of this series and read it all the way through. I gladly accept this endeavor and await for more from Lizzie and company.

I missed the last three Demon Slayer books, but felt that BHDS stood alone well enough. There are new characters and have been some substantial changes since book 2, but it's easy enough to understand what's going on.

BHDS is a great light summer read. It's quick, amusing and has a lot of action. It makes me want to go back and read the three books in the series I missed. The series has an interesting cast of supporting characters. In this book it's really only Shiloh, the half human half succubus, who gets much page time. Grandma and the biker witches get a couple of short scenes.

Don't let the title fool you, nothing much "Beverly Hills" happens like shopping, wining and dining, club hopping etc. It's pretty much all about Lizzie dealing with her fallen angel Dad, his cult and the Earl of Hell who wants to take over the world. Lizzie and Damian have been married for about 6 months and are getting settled into married life and their house with Pirate, the talking dog and Flappy, the dragon. Lizzie runs into bio dad and things go to hell (hee, hee, hee) from there.

I Want That Dog!

This is a funny, charming, and all together entertaining piece of urban fiction. And it features some of the cutest and funniest non-human characters around.

Not having read any of the prior books in the series, I did feel at a little bit of a disadvantage. I think that knowing the history of the characters, their relationships, and their world, would have pushed my enjoyment up just a bit. However, having read this one, I intend to return to the earlier books and give them a read. Fox has a new fan!

The plot is engaging and the book has some true laugh out loud moments - many by way of a very funny and adorable little dog. And a rock.

Recommended! I found a new series to enjoy!

When I first started reading this series I just thought it was a good filler in between some of the other series I was reading, and nothing that I would fall all over myself to get as soon as it was released, but as the series progressed, and most importantly as Lizzie progressed, it began harder and harder to put down. Lizzie has slowly wormed her way into my list of badass female characters! I don't necessarily think that this book is the best in the series, but I do think that it was necessary to show the huge amount of maturing that Lizzie has done. It definitely didn't hurt to have a smoking hot Griffin and her cute as buttons dog along for the ride. Can't wait for more!
