I really enjoy Thompson's writing style and recollections of what I consider the golden age of flight research. He passed way too early.

Enjoyed this book much more than I expected. Though this would be a somewhat dry history of the NASA lifting body program, but, mostly, Milt Thompson, made it a quite enjoyable read. Chris Peebles added a few missing parts. While the book is dated now, published in 2000, it's still good.
