Ah, I really enjoy clueless heroes, who then GET IT. Carter enjoys spending time with his neighbor, dog trainer/blogger Faith. She's a good egg and good company, and she's pretty, too. He just doesn't get why he likes her so much.
For her part, Faith really wishes he would figure things out. She does know that she's really not his type. She's curvy and not dumb. And she needs to make some money to get her brother into the school of his choice. She's not sure she can work more than the three jobs she already has.
When he needs a wife, or at least a fiancee, Carter realizes that Faith could help him out, and since he has money, he could help her, too. A few twists and turns, and suddenly, they are married! This is a surprise to them both and they are also surprised at how much they really like each other. Except for when he's being a jerk. Yeah, he's a guy, and a WOLF, but sometimes he's also a jerk.
I like how Faith gained confidence...and Carter finally got a clue. Considering they are both wolf shifters, there really wasn't that much shifting involved here. I still enjoyed it. Ms. Miller has created quite a rich shifter world. Always fun to catch a glimpse of characters from the previous books, too. This one is part of the series, but it stands alone. Thank you, Ms. Miller!

I loved this book but at times I thought Carter just was insensitive when I know he wasn't meaning to be I mean I know Faith hasn't told him how she feels about him, but the boy just needs to tune in, "you and me, tomorrow night. He didn't have it in mind. I did. You get my drift." Carter dropped a bill on the counter to cover the training sessions. "Pizza. Beer. Some really cheesy action flick." Faith the girl can only handle so much when it comes to Carter so I didn't blame her for blowing up, "I should have known all along. I've seen the other women you dated, and I knew I wan't like them." She dragged her sweater over her chest, covering her breasts, and wiggled out from beneath him. "Take the damn bed. You've earned it. I'm sleeping in the tub." Carter I don't really think he understands what's happening to him but the boy sure likes to have fun with his Faith, "no, you certainly don't." Sliding down her body, he knelt in front of her and spread her legs. "But if you want me to, I'd be happy to take the job." I loved this book, I really enjoyed reading it.

My Review:
This book combined two of my favorite tropes...friends to lover and shifters. And let me just state right now how much I love that Faith is a dog trainer. That just tickles me since they are both werewolves and there are many times throughout the book where she compared her dog training techniques to getting along with Carter. I just found that really fun and funny.
So, Carter and Faith...they've been neighbors and friends for about a year now. Faith has a serious crush on him, but he dates thin, model-like creatures whereas she's just the girl he hangs out with for movies and beer on Friday night. But he's up for a promotion against another Enforcer. They've both been informed that they would both be great for the job, but neither will be considered unless they are mated/married. For Carter, he's been there/done that and found his one true mate...and found it not such a great thing especially since she constantly cheated on him before her death. Even if such a thing were possible, he never wants to be in a situation where he can feel that type of humiliation and hurt again.
Faith is a changed werewolf. She and her brother were changed in an attack that killed their parents. She's in charge of his care and college now. He just got into Yale. While that's great news, there's no way that Faith can hope to afford the college costs for the Ivy league school. So, when Carter offers her the proposition of marriage, she accepts. Besides, they get along perfectly and he's a great guy, gorgeous to boot. How bad can it be? She just knows she can't fall for him because they will eventually be getting a divorce.
I liked that Faith went into this story with a crush, but it's Carter who's blown away by the feelings that he's suddenly developing for her. Faith is such a normal girl...I loved that about her. But I also loved how much confidence she developed throughout the course of the story. This was one of those books that I just really enjoyed. The story line worked for me and the chemistry between the two characters was really great. I love friends to lovers stories because they already know they get along really well...the sexual tension just adds so much more to it. And there is some great sexual tension in this. The book also takes place in the NorthWest and featured some really gorgeous and romantic settings that were simply fun to read. I love it when a book has great ambiance!

So I Married a Werewolf is literally one of the cutest shifter books I've ever read. We’ve got the notorious and smokin’ hot werewolf cop, Carter Griffin, who’s after the detective position for the Seattle Wolf Pack and he’s been dying to get that job in years ever since he’s entered the force. But his dream job is just so close, yet so far – after he’s been informed that they need a suitable, mature and mated werewolf for the role. One thing left to do: GET MARRIED.
There’s always a silver lining to every conflict: Faith Hamilton. The girl next door (literally), one of the boys, the I-love-my-sweats-and-you-can’t-stop-me kind of girl. She’s getting close to being broke. And it seems Carter’s the only person… or rather, werewolf who can help her. Problem? She’s got a ginormous crush on him and she knows she’s not his type. But what are friends for… right?
Carter and Faith’s relationship is the typical “I’ve got a crush on you, please notice me” kind of relationship. Faith’s been in love with him ever since she can remember, but he always goes after the supermodels. The hot ones. And she thinks he’s so out of her league. Sure Carter does notice her, since they’re practically the best of friends and they live right next door to each other. But he’s never made a move on her.
Faith is the character almost every girl can relate to. Her insecurities are a total bullseye, just like any other girl crushing on someone or going through a one sided love. She’s a very realistic character, despite the supernatural aspect of the story. Meanwhile, Carter was just swoonworthy. although it was kind of annoying at first that he was too thickheaded to see to Faith's feelings, he still won me over in the end.
This is the first Kristin Miller book I’ve read, and even having read out of order as this is the third book of the series, I wasn't lost in the story, as these can be read as standalones, although with a few crossovers of the characters from the previous books.
If you're into funny and cute, cliche romances, and don't mind a little bit of bite (pun intended), So I Married a Werewolf is something you should pick up.

So I Married A Werewolf is an entertaining paranormal romance centralised around one of my favourite tropes, friends to lovers, and one of my favourite immortal types, Werewolves. And I loved it.
Carter Griffin and Faith Hamilton are best-friends. Both Were-shifters, together they have a perfect chemistry which is playful, flirty, witty, comfortable and on the whole relaxed. But Faith's feelings go a little deeper than Carter's and secretly she longs for more. Easier said that done when our lone wolf believes his wife was his one chance at true-love and took his trust in all women with her when she left him. When his playboy ways threaten his chance of promotion within the Pack's law enforcement team, he turns to the only woman he trusts, Faith, and it's not long before they're 'married' and he's hungry, like the wolf...
With mystery, action, humour, intimacy and heartfelt moments, this was a book I struggled to part myself from. I adored Faith's down-to-earth sweet nature, determination and growing confidence and as clueless and frustrating as Carter was (considering his playboy status, he really was wet behind his furry ears about women), he was sexy, brooding and protective yet had vulnerabilities. But together they bring out the best in each other.
When I started this, I had no idea that it was the third in the Seattle Wolf Pack series, but it's easily a standalone novel. That said, it's drawn me to Kristin Miller's captivating writing and with the possibility of a story for Dawson and Tracy and 2 previous books in Gone With the Wolf and Four Weddings and a Werewolf, I'll definitely be reading more.

I'll be frank - I disliked Carter for the majority of this book. I liked him in the beginning, before the whole fake marriage thing took hold of the plot and he became the biggest angst-puppy this side of Jacob. Soon as he realized how attracted he was to Faith I developed a strange case of insta-hate just add idiot werewolf. It didn't help that Miller is somewhat inconsistent with his "tone" when its his third person view either.
Faith is pretty consistent--her insecurities are front and center from the very beginning and they don't really change. Carter though spends so much time lying to himself about what he wants from his fake marriage to Faith that his true feelings never come off as genuine. He goes from flirty best friend to hot and heavy wannabe lover with baggage the size of Texas in under a minute.
I also felt as if Miller was really confusing with her terminology. For instance the whole "luminary"/"mate" thing. Those who read paranormal romance know that "mate" pretty much means "the one you're destined for and is absolutely perfect for you forever after". Especially in most shifter/werewolf romances. I think in this world, which I didn't get this vibe from the first two books, "mate" is akin to basically "spouse" and doesn't hold the forever after connotations. Mate and Luminary are used pretty interchangeably throughout the books though so I got a little confused. Nate (Carter's rival for the detective spot) says he found his mate. Carter claims that his first (cheating, shrew of a deceased) wife was his Luminary.
And apparently despite the fact that finding your Luminary means you get a longer lifespan (it goes from hundreds of years to a thousand or something like this, so hey Methuselah!) it doesn't stop you from contracting werewolf only blood born diseases that can kill you. Which seems kind of jacked up honestly. "Here's your fated mate! Oh but too bad she's gonna die a couple decades INTO your bond" Way to be a dick Fate.
Nate bothered me as well - why in the name of my books would the Bureau want a tattle tale to be their Detective? Seriously. This guy was literally going to run to his and Carter's superiors to tattle on him about breaking the rules THEN when Carter halted that train he instead decided to just besmirch his name. Really? This is the kind of guy you want investigating sensitive cases? Yeah you're going for the same job, but wouldn't it benefit your case MORE if you weren't seen as going behind your comrade's back?
I liked Faith, thought she was a spitfire and feisty and certainly emphasized with her, but Carter kind of ruined their romance for me. Especially near the end when he goes beserker upset at her over a stupid little thing. Like I was worried he was going to hit her even though I knew him to be the romantic lead beserker upset. Okay so really this book didn't do much for me.

So I Married a Werewolf, Kristin Miller.

Having read some of Kristin's novels before I knew this would be a lighthearted paranormal read, but TBH it was a little too light and fluffy for me...As always its well written, but I just found the plot somehow seemed a bit too contrived, a little too cliched. Still there were moments that made me laught out loud, the time when the little teacup yorkie was humping Carter's foot and he asks her to make it stop “come, come” she calls and he's “ can't you use another word?” - that made me smile, and there were similar humorous moments that lifted this book up.
I did get irritated that a size 12 was considered big – but that could be the UK/US division at work again – here 12-14 is what most ladies are and its certainly not considered “big”....I liked Faith, she was a get on with life person, and I wish I had her secret when it comes to money making from her blog!! A loving sister, she was sacrificing her dreams to help her brother fulfil his, and that's a generous thing to do. She deserved love and to be loved. Carter had been a freally good friend but it seems her heart splintered a little more with each shallow, dipsy girl he went out with, and yet he couldn't see her real value, or maybe he wouldn't let himslef? At times he was such a jerk, flitting aimlessly from woman to woman for purely physical reasons.. I liked him to begin, and then he seemed to go into some odd jerk mood, when he was hung up on the fated mate stuff, and his jealousy issues – they weren't Faith's fault, yet she was suffering the fallout from him. .I'd hoped the psycho ex would play a bigger part – I do love a good “bit ch” in a romance but sadly her appearences were minor :-(
Overall it's a decent read but lightweight for me. It doesn't matter of you've not read earlier books about the Seattle werewolf pack as it's easy to pick up and read as a standalone novel.
Stars: 3 – an OK read but I've liked others of Kristin's better.

Carter Griffin has waited a long time to be promoted to detective. He is currently an enforcer for the Seattle Wolf Pack. The only thing holding him back from becoming detective is the fact he is unmated. When he finds out his best friend Faith Hamilton, a dog trainer and blogger, is putting her brother through college and is having trouble with funds he hatches a plan. He and Faith will marry, and he will pay for her brother’s college tuition. What they don’t know is how this will affect their comfortable friendship.
Carter is an alpha playboy with trust issues. His first mating went down in flames and he is determined it won’t happen again. It seems to me he would much rather be married to the job. I love his easy friendship with Faith. They are everything best friends should be, movie nights, beers, talking and a lot of playful banter. Faith really has the hots for Carter, but doesn’t feel as though like she has a shot, and she wouldn’t do anything to put their friendship in jeopardy. It made me sad that Faith didn’t believe she was worthy of Carter because she is a beautiful woman, with a great personality.
I had so much fun reading this story; it was like a paranormal romantic comedy. I was grinning the whole time I was absorbing the pages. I also liked the way it was written, it was fun but Miller did such a great job with the character dynamic between Carter and Faith. She added enough drama to give the story depth. All of the writing elements came together to make the perfect formula. I had to give So I Married a Werewolf a five star review, because Miller had me from the start and I enjoyed every second!
So I Married a Werewolf is the third book in the Seattle Wolf Pack series, but it stands very well on its own. This is the first book I have read from Kristen Miller, but I guarantee it won’t be the last!

It made me sad that Faith didn’t believe she was worthy of Carter because she is a beautiful woman, with a great personality.
I had so much fun reading this story; it was like a paranormal romantic comedy. I was grinning the whole time I was absorbing the pages. I also liked the way it was written, it was fun but Miller did such a great job with the character dynamic between Carter and Faith. She added enough drama to give the story depth. All of the writing elements came together to make the perfect formula. I had to give So I Married a Werewolf a five star review, because Miller had me from the start and I enjoyed every second!
So I Married a Werewolf is the third book in the Seattle Wolf Pack series, but it stands very well on its own. This is the first book I have read from Kristen Miller, but I guarantee it won’t be the last!

Although this is part of a series (it's #3, in fact), you wouldn't know it because it's a stand alone read. It's also surprisingly fast. I was able to finish this in one night while I was sweating like a pig in heat in our camping cabin. I certainly couldn't sleep so I read until my Nook died, which was shortly after I finished this book.
I'm going to be upfront- this book felt rushed. Well, the ending is what felt rushed. I was completely invested. Neither lead character got on my nerves like other books and I was completely rooting for them. Then things go to hell a little and it's like bam, things are resolved and the end. Completely rushed. Like when you get ushered out the door immediately following a holiday dinner. You're done, get out now. I wish the author had spent a little more time with the ending. I wish things between Paisley and Faith weren't so unfinished. Granted, maybe this comes up in a future book, but for the sake of this book when the tension between those two characters is a key thing, having no resolution at all left me feeling unsatisfied. Enough to not read any more of this series? Of course not, it's a solid paranormal romance and you know I'm all over that. I'm going to give this a 3/5 stars because I liked it. I didn't totally love it, but I certainly didn't hate it and if you are looking for a paranormal romance that doesn't have the sex scenes to make you rush to church, this is your book.

I love how she takes care of her brother. She knows the meaning of hard work, and I really related to her. She is also a blogger!! YAY!!!

Carter and Faith are very good friends, so when Carter needs a fake fiancee to get a promotion he asks her to marry him. Faith has had a crush on him forever and is afraid to do anything that might damage their friendship. Carter offers to help her pay for her brother's tuition in exchange for her help. So they begin to perpetuate the facade of their engagement. Spending so much time together gives Carter a chance to look at Faith in a different light and finds that he is definitely attracted to her. Once night leads him to an investigation into multiple fated mates. He was married before and it was a disaster so he is leary of getting involved with anyone again. But then there is Faith who makes him want to try again. One overreaction gets him to reevaluate his life and he has to make a grand gesture to make everything right again.
I loved watching Carter let down his walls as he fell for Faith. The adventure trip they took where Faith finally lets go of some of her fears was so fantastic. Carter and Faith have a sizzling chemistry and I just love them together. The promotion ceremony...swoon!

Just finished reading "So I Married A Werewolf". I truly enjoyed Carter Griffin and Faith Hamilton's story. Carter is an Enforcer for the Seattle Pack and he wants the promotion to Detective so bad that he will do anything. Well, he is going to have to. He had his one and only true mate and she is dead. Werewolves get one true mate, so he has had an array of women since.
Faith Hamilton is a dog trainer and blogger who is paying for her brother's education. She has her own place and she has the hots for her sexy neighbor who does movie nights at home with her on Fridays. They are friends, but boy would she want more. Unfortunately, she is not his type. He is in to beautiful model type women. While she is about a size 12 and let's say her only fashion statement is wearing yoga pants and a sweatshirt. Her brother's tuition has now gone up, he has been accepted to Yale.
Can these two work something out where all will benefit to get what they want?
This was really good, funny and sexy. Loved these wolves. Give me more!!

SO I MARRIED A WEREWOLF by Kristin Miller is a cute paranormal/urban fantasy romance in the Entangled Covet line. I've become quite enamored with werewolves and knew I had to read it once I read the synopsis; I was not disappointed. It's a quick read consisting of just 208 pages and it held my attention from the first chapter to the last. It has interconnected characters with Kristin's other Seattle Wolf Pack books but is easily enjoyed as a standalone.

Even though I have read the others in this series I think so far this is one has become my favorite thus far in this series. The characters are rich with humor when they deal with each other having been friends for quite a while now. Even though they are in the same pack they have never shifted in front of each other which I found to be quite intriguing. Faith has many jobs including training dogs that also has her writing a blog to go with it. Supporting a younger brother whom she loves dearly she means to see him succeed in aspiring his goals.Carter being part of the Enforcement Bureau policing unit keeps him busy and on his toes. Friday nights are movie night which I found were quite nice but often led them thinking I do believe about each other. One day he enters his work and is called into his captain's office with news that he is a prime candidate along with one other for detective. The clincher though is they would really prefer that detective be married because they believed it was better for that wolf in that position. Boy did I crack up because you could almost see the wheels turning in Carter's head with coming out of his mouth he had indeed found his fated mate and was engaged. Knee slapper for sure because he does not even have a girlfriend because he usually only had short term encounters. So that is how this author gets you by the scruff because you have to see how he plans to wiggle out of this with his reputation still intact. That is where Faith will come in with you next seeing these two who after she agrees to the shenanigans (her brother being a big factor) go down the road of make believe engaged but having to play a part that to anyone else comes off being the real deal. This is where I do believe someone should of told them beware of games such as these they often times as not have a way of becoming all to real. The flow of the storyline here on out takes you along for a most delightful read with other characters along the way to provide that added color a good novel needs. Love will bite them both in the butt with them indeed truly being the mate for each other. The heat between these two perfect fit for them. Most noble ending which will give them both their heart's desires. received a arc for a honest review.

One of my favorite types of romance are the ones between old friends or acquaintances become lovers. SO I MARRIED A WEREWOLF plays with this trope excellently though I was frustrated at Faith and Carter’s inner monologues proclaiming their attraction for eachother yet never actually verbalizing their feelings. These two oozed chemistry from every pore from their banter to their personalities which made me flip the pages faster to see when they get a clue and act on their unrequited love. Another type of romance story I love is one that is able to be a little bit silly. SO I MARRIED A WEREWOLF is able to balance the humor and sweetness of Faith and Carter’s romance really well through clever quips and amusing situations. There are serious bits to this story but what makes it shine is the humor especially the scenes with Faith’s tiny and very horny foster dog.
Faith is a wonderful character who is fun and clever though suffers from the “I think I’m too plain and will be a spinster forever” syndrome. I found it hilarious that she was a werewolf dog trainer who used her dog training skills to ‘train’ Carter. The idea of Carter having to get married for a job promotion rankled a bit and just didn’t make sense from a modern perspective but I went with it as another odd werewolf society thing. It was fun seeing all of Faith and Carter’s ploys and lies they had to create to get everyone to believe they were a couple. I found it highly amusing that they were unknowingly digging themselves in so deep that they were bound to make this sham of a relationship into a real one.

I received an ARC of this book in place of an honest review.
I wanted to read this book as soon as I read about it. I mean look at the cover. I love to get my hands on all the vampire and werewolves that I can find. This isn't the first book that I have read by this author. I really enjoy her writing style. Although when I read this book I felt that there was more left to uncover.
Carter Griffin, is the enforcing officer for the Seattle Wolf Pack. He has finally about to reach the job he has always wanted. There is just one thing stopping him from getting it. He has no mate and they want to give it to a man who has a mate. He doesn't want another mate. He has been there and it didn't end up the way he thought it would. I bet he is glad that it's a Friday night because every Friday night he gets with Faith Hamilton and watches movies.
Faith is a woman with several jobs. She has to do what she can so that her brother can go to the college he has always wanted to go. I really don't see how she does it all. She trains dogs, walks them, and has her own blog that just keeps getting new people. One day she is given a tea cup yorkie to take care of because there is no room for him.
There is just something about this lovable fur that everyone likes until he starts humping you. That is how he gets the name Humperdinck. This dog brings a lot of the comedy in the book. I understand because I just think about my own yorkie.
I will say that this book has a lot going on. You have two friends who are going to get married just to help each other out. The bad thing is that Faith really wants to be with Carter and he just seems to say all the wrong things. I'm really skeptic about Nate, there is really something going on with him. I'm hoping the next book will shine some light on what's really going on with him.

Very domestic. Very human-like. The wolves, I mean. They're absolutely like humans. They aren't ruled by their baser instincts, there's no snarling or growling or dominance fights. No one dies. There's no blood spilled. Yes they have true mates called "Luminaries" but the possessive mate thing is depicted as more of a human construct than a wolf construct. Hell, some true mates really are out here cheating on each other with no baseborn, wolfy remorse.
DOMESTIC. WEREWOLVES.
I've never seen such controlled wolves in fiction before (other than Wattpad). These wolves:
🐺 Have movie nights with their besties: ok so I'm not saying humans should be gatekeeping movie nights but this is such a chill thing to do.
🐺 Don't shift into their wolves around each other.: Hero and heroine have never seen each other in wolf form but are besties and they don't wolf out because 1) heroine can only wolf out during the full moon 2) doesn't come up in convo what their wolves look like. It's nOt LiKe OtHeR bOoKs where wolves be walking around in all states of undress.
🐺 Would rather destroy their clothes than take them off before shifting : WASTEFUL!! WHY DON'T THEY CHANGE??
🐺 Have team-bonding activities at company retreats : They went ziplining. Tw ziplining? If you're afraid of that ofc.
🐺 Have job promotion rivalries where the wives of two promotion contenders have to schmooze their way into getting a promotion for their husband : this was the most human ass thing I've ever seen happen in a wolf book ever. I'm laughing.
These elements make this such a delight ! It's a cute besties-to-lovers with a marriage of Convenience, unrequited love angst, job drama, dogs, and immortal werewolves who act more like humans than wolves.
Give it a try. I have zero regrets.

But that's just it, it is a Contemporary that just happens to have werewolves; werewolves that don't fight, not really anyway, aren't sex craved as most wolves are, they're basically just regular people who happen to get hairy every now and then.
Faith and Carter have been the best of friends from the moment she moved in next door. So its only natural that when he needs a fake bride that she would be the perfect fit. Its the perfect business arrangement; he gets the bride he needs, she gets her brothers' college tuition and they both get to keep their friendship in tact. Since she has no real aspirations for him and he has already found and lost his Luminary, everything should go off without so much as a hitch. Well, fate just may have other plans.
This novel is great for Contemporary fans who would like just a dose of the Paranormal world. For fans of Werewolf books, maybe not so much; no fooling around with multiple partners, not much howling at the moon, and the claws really don't come out. Pretty good read, just not my cup of blood, I mean tea. I need action, violence and blood. Though I will give this one credit, it is a beautiful love story.

Wolf shifters Carter and Faith have been buddies since they became neighbors, and when both are in a pinch - he needs a fiance to get a promotion and she needs money to fiance her brother's Yale education - Carter decides that Faith would be the perfect fake fiance.
I am a sucker for friends to lovers stories, and toss in shape shifters - my favorite supernaturals - and So I Married A Werewolf was pretty much calling my name and saying, "read me NOW." There is good chemistry between this pair, and a nice amount of steamy times, but this story wouldn't have worked for normally-hero-centric-me if Faith hadn't been so great, because Carter is pretty much of a jerk at multiple times in the story (and the past trauma that causes his commitment issues aren't handled in a way that stirs much sympathy for him.) As I said, Faith completely makes up for that. Even though she misreads the reasons for Carter's rejections, she takes her disappointment and decides to become a stronger, sexier person on her own and that is great to see. I love that she blossoms personally and it is fun to see her business becoming successful to reinforce that she has a lot of great things going for her.

Faith was an awesome character. Yes, she had insecurities, but it never stopped her. She worked so hard for her brother to have the future he wanted, but now that he's ready for college she doesn't know how she will make ends meet.
Carter and Faith have been friends for some time. They have fun together and trust each other. When Carter needs a fiance, Faith is the only one he'll trust. Faith will get the much needed $ for her brothers college so it seems win-win for everyone.

Kristen Miller has created a great werewolf world in the Seattle Pack series.
Book 3 is about Carter, his a cop and works for the special werewolf division, his job is to keep order and stop humans learning about them.
Carter is a hot guy, his a werewolf, his muscled and tattooed, his also a good friend to Faith.

A great read that I stayed up until 1 am to finish.

Book 3 is about Carter, his a cop and works for the special werewolf division, his job is to keep order and stop humans learning about them.
Carter is a hot guy, his a werewolf, his muscled and tattooed, his also a good friend to Faith.

Quick and fun read with friends to lovers storyline. Started out slow but moved along quite quickly after the first few chapters. I really liked the h Faith, she was a joy to read and I loved that I got to experience her vulnerability and strength through her perseverance. I didn't understand the the Luminary arc though but I haven't read any of the previous books in this series to know if this is a continuous plot arc.

Thoughts: I have enjoyed the previous two books from this series, so I expected to like So I Married A Werewolf. The whole series so far for me has been a strong B rating. While I enjoy them, they just don’t stand out a whole lot and are usually fairly predictable. With this book, I also felt like Carter was just a little too clueless and had a tendency to ignore his instincts and stick his head in the sand – which drives me crazy about a character. Faith was a bit too fatalistic and was just quick to accept anything negative, as well as sacrifice too much of herself. The story was decent, but as I said somewhat predictable. A good addition to the series and another strong B.

Holy Internalized Misogyny Batman!
I really need to stop reading "curvy" girl books from the mid 2010's. They are not a good vintage. Quite spoiled and vinegary in fact.
For every IRL insecure girl out there that privately works on herself without making it the problem of everyone around her, there is a book featuring a "curvy not fat!" FMC that thinks any woman perceived skinnier, prettier, more fashion forward and more free with her body is sleazy, a harlot, ditzy, boring, and not unique (as if having a tummy roll makes a gal a special little snowflake 🙄)
I don't understand why she was blaming all these women for dating the MMC when he was the common denominator between all of them. Does she call the MMC names and slut shames him? No? She just hates on the women? That seems fair. /s
The commitment-phobe fake fiance was the cherry on top of the S**** sandwich.

An OK read. Nothing particularly special about this one. Carter and Faith are best friends. Faith agrees to be Carter’a mate / spouse so he can get a promotion at work.
Faith has a lot of insecurities that she works through over the course of the book. She seems to grow whereas Carter hangs on to his issues until he pretty much gets smacked upside his head.

Sweet fun read. Love when the h/ h are friends first. So much more realistic. So many pitfall to overcome. She had the host for him forever; he, thought no other woman could win his heart. She proved him wrong. Like most stories, he over reacts. All is well in the end.
