This racy Wine Country novella takes readers back to Redemption Road winery, where Audrey and Tyson are continuing the paths they discovered in Redemption Red.
This book focuses on Rebecca and Ray and while Rebecca has made peace with her family and returned home to help build the winery into a wine country destination, she is still struggling with ghosts that threaten to destroy her happiness.
When someone shows up from the family's past, everyone must face the truths that time can hide and come to terms with new realities...
I'm USA Today Bestselling author Delancey Stewart. My contemporary romances run the gamut of settings and setups, but they always deliver humor, heart and heat. It's a guarantee.
I write from my home in Denver, CO, where I manage a household full of boys and men. Okay, only one man. The hubs. But two boys. I mean, three if you count the hubs. (You see why I do words and not numbers. I was told there'd be no math in this bio. Someone lied.)
I grew up in California and have had more jobs than anyone on earth (personal trainer, pharmaceutical rep, copywriter, tech writer, marketing director, wine seller, elementary school teacher... I'm not kidding. The list. It goes on.) But the one I love the most is writing, in part because I get to meet people who love books and stories as much as I do! Please don't hesitate to get in touch to say hello, and don't forget to join my newsletter!
This book follows Redemption Red where we met Rachel and Ray. This book emphasizes on their life and how they tend to go forward. They seem to be the perfect couple, yet the ghosts of her past haunts her. With the help of her family she will get the help she needs to move on.
I did not like this story. I enjoyed reading it, as I really like Delancey Stewart's writing style, but this story was not for me. It's about two married people who entered into marriage knowing that ultimately, the issue of children will cause a rift between them. They are now at an impasse after all the years they've been married.
The h wasn't that likable of a character. She is very afraid and is irrational in her fear. She also isn't that nice of a person, but her husband is amazingly kind and gentle, so I wanted more for him. The 1.5 stars I'm giving this book are for the engaging writing and the H. The plot of this short was thin. Not much happened and absolutely nothing was resolved. We do see a small continuation of the story from book 2 of the series, and that was nice, but nothing happens in terms of the MCs of this story. If you want to read a story with more substance and less frustration, I'd pass on this one.
ETA: The H isn't a total saint. He did a really crappy thing to his wife that was not cool, but he more than made up for it by being sincerely apologetic about it and promising not to do it again.

A great installment in the Wine Country Romance Series. It is a follow on from the second book Redemption Red, returning us to Redemption Road Winery and the Dawes family.
I generally don't like to read Novellas as I find that they can be very short in story with under-developed characters. But this one is extremely well written and has strong character development.
The story is engaging, drawing me in from the start. I could really feel the struggle Rebecca faced, but I also could sympathise with Ray and all he was going through. I think the strength Rebecca shows is the main reason why I enjoyed the story. The supporting story-line is just as strong and complements the main story well. Overall, this is a great read!
For those that have read Redemption Red, I would highly recommend reading this Novella.
I loved reading more about Rebecca & Ray! (I am a little in love with Ray, btw.) Rebecca definitely had that hard shell about her when I first read about her in Tyson & Audrey's story. And I like how the author didn't make her a softy in this book. She is who she is - good and bad. I liked her because she is very human and very relatable. Rebecca and Ray have a fantastic relationship and this book is portrays their love is such a believable way!! Love this novella!
