You think you know me…. You think you know whom I am…so lets get a few things straight…. I didn’t get involved in relationships. Relationships are for the weak, plus it’s leverage for your enemy’s and I have plenty.
But that’s all changed. When a strong willed woman, with the mouth of a sailor walked into my life, wearing tiny shorts, which displayed her beautiful long legs and round ass. I thought I could play with her and maybe get my fix. But when she spoke I knew that wasn’t going to happen. She is full of life and one scary ass little woman. I knew right away I had to have her and would do anything to keep her.
She owns my soul; she owns my demons, every part of me is owned by her.
USA Today Best Selling Author T.L. Smith loves to write her characters with flaws so beautiful and dark that you can’t turn away from. Her books have been translated into several languages. If you don’t find her in her home town of Queensland, Australia you can usually find her travelling around the world to sitting on a beach in Bali, to exploring Alcatraz in San Francisco or walking the streets of New York.
1st. You need to have read the first two books. 2nd. This is written entirely from Stefanos POV.
Ok so this book is allllll about Stefanos. He's an arrogant, dominant fucked up drug dealer.
There's not much else to describe him. He is a bad man. . and you cannot help but love him!
Eliza is missing so he goes on a rampage to find her. oh and he does.
This third book is all about Stefanos' need for his Princess, we get inside his head and find out why and how he does the thing he does. They also grow as a couple. They both slightly change. Not much though.
T.L Smith has done a fantastic job with this series making me fall in love with these 2 fuck ups. They aren't normal that's for sure. But normal is boring. They know who they are. Fuck anyone else who disagrees with them.
There is a lot of sex. A lot killing. A lot of swearing.
Ok so that was the Pro's.
Now to the Con's.
What happening with Eliza's mum and dad? Hunter and Carmen? Giovanni? Not too many questions were left unanswered though so that was good.
There was a few moments there that the scenes changed really quickly and were a bit chopping but I can totally overlook that.
So all in all? Like dark, fucked up people with a lot of sex? Well then this is for you!
I received this book in exchange for an honest review
Kratos is written in Stefanos’ POV, we get a little snippet in the beginning of how he became the Tough Alpha Dom (this is not a BDSM book - BUT he needs to dominate the situation, what ever it is... sex or business, and he definitely wants Eliza (Krinos) to submit to him, and he constantly battles Eliza to get her to submit to him, and she is not a SUB)
Some readers will see him as an arrogant SOB, but I do understand what Ms Smith was doing when she created these characters... they are not NORMAL - they are gangsters, in the last book we were left dangling with Eliza being kidnapped, Hes out to get his girl back and woe betide anyone who gets in the way.
With a novella you do not get enough time to go into detail but there is Action and lots of Sex, you get to see how Stefanos and Eliza change, and become a couple, Stefanos becomes Eliza’s Kratos. Kratos ... Definition. force, strength; power, might: mighty with great power. a mighty deed, a work of power. dominion.
As I said he is a DOM ;) and although I do think that this book has answered some of the questions I had from the last books, (eg Krinos getting freed) I there were others situations that were skipped - what happened with Eliza's Mothers Husband in Aussie? And We don't really get to know much about Giovanni who kidnaps Eliza, and one character is only mentioned as someones sister. But all in all I did enjoy reading Krinos and Kratos getting their version of a HEA!!
This series is the first which I have read of Ms Smith's, I have Sasha's Dilemma to read also by T. L. Smith, I look forward to reading and reviewing.
This book picks up exactly where Kalon left off. What a conclusion this is. The story is told from Stefanos POV. The first three chapters fill us in on Stefanos earlier life. It explains how he became the hard a** that he is.
We have another nail biting suspense that keeps you on the edge of your seat. I feel like this book finally gave me some of the details I was looking for. The book wraps everything into a nice little bow with its epilogue. We still have all the laugh out loud moments, swoon worthy moments, action and suspense, but this story takes us deeper into the feelings of doubt and insecurities that Krinos has.
Krinos’ emotions are all over the place in this installment. She has reservations about her love for Stefanos and becoming a mother. Stefanos is stead fast in assuring her she will be a great mother. Krinos worked so hard a establishing herself as a leader she is afraid that stepping out of the bosses seat will tear down everything she worked so hard to build. Will love be enough? Read the final installment to this fabulous series to find out.
This was my favorite of the books in this series. I think that T.L. did a great job at tying things up. I would love to see Hunter get a book. There is still so much to resolve with him. (then maybe we would see more of Stefanos and Krinos please?)
I would highly recommend this book, as well as, the other books in the series.
My Favorite Quotes:
She made me want the sappy lovey s*** and she made me want her without even doing anything. She just consumed me…
I’m not f****** normal, I’m the f******devil in disguise. Death doesn’t scare me, but it should be scared of me. “That, will never happen again, last f****** hit you get Princess. I mean it! Otherwise, I will make sure you carry a truckload of my babies just to piss you off. You understand me?”
“You own them you know, my demons, you own them. I don’t think there is a part of me that isn’t owned solely by you.”
“I have to have you. I have to have your mind, body and soul, and if you don’t five that to me, I think my demons might finish me off for good. They’re screaming at me to claim you. You own my darkness, Princess.”
I think what was left of my black heart just turned red
***Don’t read this review unless you have read the previous books in this series.***
Definition: Dominion, strength, power; a mighty deed.
“You think you know me.... You think you know who I am... So, let’s get a few things straight.... I don’t get involved in relationships. Relationships are for the weak, plus its leverage for your enemies, of which I have plenty."
We don’t start off exactly where we left off in Kaloon with Eliza getting kidnapped. We are taken back in time to Stefanos’ past, getting an insight to him as an eighteen year old and the struggles that he went through to make him into the ruthless cut throat man he is today. But being around dangerous people when you have no fear isn’t always bad.
This is where he meets Kontos, Eliza’s father. He sees something in him. After taking him under his wing and setting him up with a life where money was no object. This is where he meets his love, his life, his everything, Kaloon, aka Eliza.
Their relationship isn’t for the faint hearted; together they are a bad ass team. Her with her sassy mouth and tough attitude, and his protection of her, willing to do anything or take on anyone to protect her. Anyone that hurts his love will pay the ultimate price.
"I have to have you. I have to have your mind, body and soul, and if you don't give that to me, I think my demons might finish me off for good. They're screaming at me to claim you. You own my darkness, Princess."
Like the previous two books from T.L. Smith in this series we devoured this book in one sitting. Her style of writing is effortless and so easy to read. Congratulations on another great read.
So far in the Take Over series, we've seen everything in Eliza's eyes. Kratos gives us the pleasure of seeing everything from Stefanos' POV. We're given the insight of who he is and where he came from as well as the moment he realizes Eliza is his "can't live without". It's sweet to see the instant he realizes he will be totally devoted to her.
At the end of Kalon (Book 2 of the Take Over series), we're left wondering what happens after Eliza (aks Krinos) is kidnapped. Kratos picks up immediately from that point and we see Stefanos and what lengths he'll go through to get back the woman he loves.
He's humerous, strong, protective and pure power when it comes to his woman. He shows us that no one will stand in his way when it comes to his family and gives us a glimpse of his power and strength in the bedroom. He's a man that calls the shots and Eliza is enjoying it very much. This was a wonderful read. I was hoping for a little more action as what was in the previous two books, but it was great to get a different perspective in the dynamics of Eliza's world.
So this is the third book in the Take Over Series from T.L Smith. You will definitely need to read the first two books which are KRINOS and then KALON.
This third segment is written from Stephanos point of view. He is fuming, Eliza(Krinos)has been kidnapped and he is going out of his mind with worry. This is dark...there is a lot of death and killing....loads of drugs, weapons and it's brutal what he does to find his love.
This book shows you how he feels about Eliza and even though he is a dark and dangerous man you see the warmth and love pour from him.
Eliza is pregnant and is totally pissed off that she has to give up some of her duties, the kidnapping isn't quite what it seems and Eliza is no wilting flower which i loved. The fact she's pregnant and still a nightmare is fantastic!
The title KRATOS holds a beautiful meaning that you will find out in this book.
I really did enjoy this. T.L Smith has keot the fire burning for sure!
TITLE~ Kratos (Take Over #3) AUTHOR~ T.L. Smith GENRE~ Adult-Romance-Dark-Erotica PUBLISHED~ July 28, 2014 PURCHASED/COST~ ARC for Review MY RATING~ 4/5
MY THOUGHTS~ I was provided with an ARC for review. I have thoroughly enjoyed the Take Over series. I read and loved the first two in the series, Krinos & Kalon and couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one. This third book in the Take Over series, Kratos, is very intense as well as informative. We get a glance at Stephanos’ past and what made him the man we met in the previous books. Then, it picks up where book 2 ended. The story seemed to flow well and the characters took on more depth in Kratos, I think. The only complaints that I have are that the dialogue didn’t seem realistic and again, as throughout the first two books, words seemed to be italicized in unnecessary or possibly misplaced places. Otherwise though, I loved the story!
**Copy received from author in exchange for honest review**
Kratos is written in Stefanos’ point of view and most definitely does not disappoint. This story just gets better and better and this book completes the Take Over Series. It gives a little background of the young Stefanos and then continues on from book two.
I love Stefanos’ point of view, it shows how he changes into the man he is, once he meets Eliza or his “Princess”. Book three takes on a different path when finally Stefanos becomes Eliza’s Kratos.
Although this is a short novella, it packs a punch and I thoroughly recommend the final book. I give this book a five star rating and cannot wait for more books by T. L. Smith.
“You see, I may look like an angel on the outside, but on the inside I am your fucking worst nightmare, especially when you fuck with me. I won’t just punch you or hurt you; I will make you scream ‘till you can’t scream anymore. Then when you think you’ve had enough, I will do it all over again, just to satisfy my needs. Though the bastards, I do torture usually fucking deserve it.”
I love Stefanos point of view it shows how he change into a man he is now.how meeting Krinos change his life. His princess. And becoming Eliza's kratos. Where I can get my own Stefanos?
This is my favourite out the 3 books....One of the reasons might be because it's in the sexy Stefanos POV. I loved being in his head. I liked that I got to see his past and how he got to where he is now. I love Stefanos, the devil may care attitude. It also had its serious swoony moments.
What a way to end Stephanos and Krinos's story. I loved reading from Stephanos POV. I often wonder what the guy is thinking as things are going on, so I love when an author brings us the story from their POV.
Now, bringing us the story from the guys POV, after writing the girls POV, can be tricky. I do not want to reread the same book over, with a few changes and additions into the guys head. It needs to be it's own book, it's own story. Kratos delivered in this department.. in a huge way.
Stephanos is a top gun in a mafia group, under the leadership of Krinos father. He has no desire to settle down and drag someone into his lifestyle. He sees it as a weakness, the ability for the enemy to get to him through someone he is attached to. But when he is assigned the task of looking after Krinos and taking her back, one look is all it takes to make him crave her with a desire to possess her, that drives him to do whatever it takes to make her his.
Krinos is one bad ass female. I love a strong female lead, and Krinos delivers. She is cocky, self assured, and not afraid to go head to head with some of the most ruthless men around. She would rather cut you than look at you, and anyone that dares to cross her, will wish they had never heard her name.
Kratos is the perfect conclusion to Stephanos and Krinos story. The epilogue ties up all the loose ends. But at the same time, sets the stage for another book that could center around some of the other characters. And per the authors web site, she is thinking about bringing us a couple more books! Whoop!! Whoop!!
Although this is Stefanos POV you need to read 1 & 2 , this gives us a little about his background , his meeting Krinos but then it picks up right where Kalon ended. I love all things Stefanos. He is hot , alpha , dirty , cray and fiercely loyal to his Princess !!
Of course Stefanos has a crappy childhood , we got a little piece of him in book 2. He has been taking care of his sister for years and now he has his Princess and his life is devoted to his work and keeping her safe. Despite the fact she can handle herself Stefanos is by Krinos side always. Except the night she gets kidnapped. Stefanos is now going crazy trying to locate her because 1. nobody messes with what is his and 2. she is pregnant with his child. Now that we are in his head we get a front row to his crazy desires and when it comes to work they are downright lethal and when they come to his Princess they are downright HOT !!
This last book is their journey through Stefanos' eyes and we get to witness her pregnancy and the birth of their child. It is just as fast paced and crazy as the other books but we do get a different side to them both in this book , they actually are humans and have some very deep feelings for each other and their families. I loved the epilogue !!
These stories all had such a great flow , I loved the fast paced nature of the story , the sex was great and I loved all the characters and their gritty and raw personalities !!
How the author was able to take a business such as this one and turn it into something so freakin awesome is definitely a talent. Even if the context of the business is evil, you can't help but adore Krinos and Stefanos. I really, really love this leading lady. She is such a freaking bad-ass!! She is totally a take no prisoners, hard core, make no apologies female lead. I love that there was absolutely no indecision in her choices. Even when faced with tough choices she does well not to flip/flop. The love story was amazing, and I absolutely LOVED getting inside Stefanos' head and hearing his perspectives. He was an awesome leading male, definitely no one you wanna piss of that is for sure. The last part of the series shows Krinos' ability to grow and mature, and I loved it. I wish we could get more info on Matt (Rock) and Carrissa. But other than that one small request, all was definitely great with this series.
You must read the previous books before reading Kratos to fully understand what is happening.
This book is told entirely in Stefanos POV which has never happened before.
As always Krinos and Stefanos are twisted in love couple, but now they have no journey ahead of them. I was not a fan of Krinos in this book which I hate to say; I felt she was very childish for the way she acted. She had Stefanos worried out of his mind and she was just taking her sweet time letting him know she was alright. But of course, Stefanos cannot stay angry at her for long she is his Kalon after all.
I did like that we get to see another side of Krinos that wasn't there before towards the end of the book.
I don't want to assume (too much) but I do believe her parents are back together permanently (poor Stepdad).
Another great book in the Take over Series by T.L. Smith ...
L. Smith.
I must say i like it less than the previous two. Honestly I expected more, much more. After huge cliffhanger which ended in second book it seemed there will be a war, I needed spectacular revenge. How to say it gently "Kratos" disappointed me a lot. As always Eliza surprised me but this time in bad way. She's a tough woman and can handle her own. Nonetheless she supposed to be a woman this time. And Stefanos , instead of being dominant he was only submissive in that relationship. I do not like it. Of course I realize they have different life and they are not like normal people but their partnership, their attitude I just don't understand it. It was too short for me defenitely.
I love that we get to see Stefanos' side of the story! It wasn't a rewrite of the previous stories, however, which is always a concern. It was great to see the background on Stefanos, explaining why he has turned out the way he has. It was interesting to hear where his loyalties were and why and how he felt about Krinos from the beginning. The book wrapped things up nicely (including an epilogue), but left room for future books on the remaining characters. I'd love to hear what happens to them :)
Sexy Greek God and Sexy Female Boss create fireworks
I love this series. Such a fan of Krinos and Stefano's life and love! Krinos strength was amazing for the line of work that brings on such scary situations. Stefano is sex on a stick, his dirty talk, protection, and love sustain them together. I hope we can hear more from these characters! Maybe following up with Rock and Cassandra and Hunter and Carmen.....
3rd book just as good as the 1st two. On the one hand I like that the books have been fast paced and to the pony but in the other hand it just feels like this trilogy should be longer. I love Stephanos even more in this book. Great job again TL Smith!
The ultimate power couple . I adore this author and her clever witty style . The perfect ending to a perfect series . A fast fun sexy as hell ride that I highly recommend . Well done TL Smith , you did real good xxx Aussie Aussie Aussie !!!
You need to read the first two books in the series before this one. This book starts with a brief insight to Stephan's back ground, and how he came to get the job he's doing. The rest of the book is about how Eliza and Stephan's relationship continues now that she is pregnant. Another great read.
This book was way to short I just read it all and I am dying for more. This series is awesome... Don't question it just get it and read it you'll thank me later it's that good
Krinos is such a strong female character its hard to hate her. There are moments you laugh at loud, roll your eyes, want to cry or cheer with them. That's how addicting it is. Only problem is that its too short.
stefanos deserves tbe title of kratos he love eliza an has no problem killing for her i like this book u see a softer side to krinos an it wraps it up nicely
