It ended with theft and murder…

One day Callie Brennan is a happy shop owner. The next, she’s recruited by a Bureau of International Antiquities agent in a plot to catch thieves trafficking in stolen Hopi artifacts. Before Callie gets the details, the agent is murdered and the next stranger to come calling thinks she had something to do with his death.

Finn Gallagher works as a civil engineer, a cover that works well for his real job as a secret agent…or so he thinks.

But it started with a legend…

Both Callie and Finn harbor secrets. From the moment they meet, nothing is normal for either of them again. Will their feelings for each other be strong enough to withstand the evil that has been stalking them both for years?

As false identities are revealed, and the prophecies of an old Hopi legend come true, who will survive and who will not? Who will recognize the lies and who will continue to search for the truth? With the incarnation of the mystical Hopi Eagle kachina, Callie and Finn will be staggered by one truth they could not have anticipated.

Ann Simas lives in Oregon, but she is a Colorado girl at heart, having grown up in the Rocky Mountains. An avid word-lover since childhood, she penned her first fiction “book” in high school. She particularly likes to write a mix of mystery-thriller-suspense with a love story and paranormal/supernatural elements. Simas currently has 25 books in print. Both are available in paperback and in ebook format.

An award-winning watercolorist and a budding photographer, Ann also enjoys needlework and gardening in her spare time. She is her family’s “genealogist” and has been blessed with the opportunity to conduct first-hand research in Italy for both her writing and her family tree. The genealogy research from century’s old documents, written in Italian, has been a supreme but gratifying and exciting challenge for her.

Blessed Are The Eagles is a titillating paranormal thriller mixed with a bit of romance that easily captivates readers from the first page.

Callie Brennan lives in a small town where she owns a shop that specializes in Hopi and other Native American collectibles. When Callie is suspected of partaking in a stolen artifacts scheme, which has already cost one man his life, she sets out to clear her name. But, when Finn Gallagher enters her life things become complicated. Finn has ties to Shiloh and a special interest in the stolen artifacts. He begins investigating Callie with the hopes of clearing his deceased friend's good name and then strange things start to happen. Poisonous snakes, paranormal visits, and more death surround Callie and Finn must decide if it's a cover up for her crimes or if her life is really in danger. Meanwhile the two are smitten for one another, but can't seem to be honest with each other for more than a second. Will they be able to put their differences aside long enough to uncover the truth?

I have read several books by Ann Simas and enjoy her writing style and ability to grab a reader's attention. Blessed Are The Eagles is no exception. Her characters are well developed and complex and the plot is filled with so many twists it will leave you reeling. She uses the element of surprise to her advantage and reveals just enough to keep you guessing until the end. I found Blessed Are The Eagles to be a gripping and well contrived tale well worth reading.

I highly recommend picking up a copy.

Having read something from this author before but of a different type, I just knew she could mesmerize me once again with her writing. This one promised lots of suspense with some romance in a interesting setting. She certainly did deliver that in this tale. Callie is being framed but everyone knows she could not of done such a thing. Finn is determined to find that out plus who killed his friend. When they connect they will open the door to more than just answers. I like also the heritage also that is used throughout with the Native American theme. Well plotted it will have you going with them trying to stay one step ahead in the who done it game. They will have a attraction for each other that will grow but be not the conventional once they meet devour each other type. Anticipation will be part of it where will they go with it. The suspense spine tingling at times because of the events and weird occurrences that fit right in because of the story. Callie is a character that you will fall in love with and cheer her on to come out on top through it all. Scummy ex in the picture that you at times would like a piece of him but he will meet his. The pace will pick up that your breath will catch at times but this author will weave it all together so nicely that in the end when it all falls down you will be left with sense of completion and well satisfied with this novel.

Blessed

If you like romance, mystery, adventure this is for you. Wow is all I can say. I can't wait to read more of her books. Callie is an antique seller/collector of Indian artifacts. Lately she has been getting weird phone calls and feelings that she is being watched. Not to mention animals and dolls just showing up.... It don't help that Finn who she kinda likes, thinks she is in involved in whatever....

A great twist of fiction, Mystery and history :)
I received a copy of this story in exchange for an honest review :) I loved this story, at first I was sceptical but as soon as I started reading about Callie, Finn and their family and friends I was enraptured. This story kept me entertained from start to finish. The plot twists had me wondering where the story was heading next and how this was going to turn out. Definitely on my list of re-reads and favourites. A definite recommended read :)

Received the book for an honest review. Ms. Simas weaves a tale of mystery, suspense, history, romance and paranormal. A great storyline. Though there is a lot happening it is easy to follow and you'll be drawn in from page one. This book has everything a PNR lover could possibly want.
