There were a lot of things I liked about this book- it was funny and sexy. There wasn't really a lot of angst and it was really sweet. My only complaints are that it was a little slow at times and Molly was a little annoying. I like a strong willed heroine but she was a little over the top about it and jumped to conclusions. Overall I did enjoy this book and look forward to reading more by this author.
such a cute story. Although the h, who secretly loves the H, pushes him away a little more than I would like, I really liked this. Devil was 100% faithful from the moment she came to work for him. He was seen with several women but they were platonic dates. He was apprehensive because she was his best friends little sister and a very close family friend. Not to mention he was older than her. Loved the side characters, especially Manny, and there was a great epilogue.
Not much too say but that I loved the hero and couldn't stand the herione for most of the time! idk if it's my mood or what but she annoyed me, she was childish, always threaten hero with physical violence, pushed hero so much, didn't believe a damn word he told her! I'm all for being a strong women but seriously she was too much and supposedly she always loved the hero could of fooled me. oh and then her just stupid with his credit card to prove a point to him . he didn't mean anything by it! just ugh! And hero was nothing but kind and sweet and did everything because he wanted to make her happy. no he wasn't perfect but he was good! if it wasn't for herione i would of enjoyed this more! at least her friends were funny and very loyal to her! love Nana! Epilogue was cute. The 3 stars are for the hero mainly! I don't think I read second book. if I do decide is only becuase of hero! lol
Safe with Exception I guess ! only becuase during the time herione worked for him (1 year )he went out with ow but never slept with them. he says one time he barely kissed any of them then another time he says it was strictly platonic! If any of my GR friends need more info just ask me:)
Molly is a God fearing good woman with a penchant for yelling at her boss for his man whoring ways, espically when they interfere with her work. Molly's known William "Devil" her whole life, he's her brothers best friend and her Nana is like her Nana too their family in all but blood. So when Nana lands in the hospital is tears at her heart just as much as his and she'd do anything to make Nana's last days happy.
Devil is known for getting his way and using circumstances to get what he wants and his Nana's dying wish to see him married, just might get him the one thing he's wanted for more than a year. A feisty red head who would do anything to see Nana happy and he'll use anything he can to get her down the aisle.
Devil is is smart ass with a silver tongue, he's also sinfully sexy and when he knows what he want he goes after it with a vengance only a ture alpha male can muster. Molly is as sweet and caring as she is sassy with her sharp wit. The two are a steaming pile of sizzling fun and their back and forth banter will leave you in hysterics. I had an absolute blast reading this one and more times than not I was laughing so hard I way crying.
The characters are well developed and the chemestry between the main couple was fun and don't even get me started on the best freinds and family!!! And her pets!!! All of it rolled up into one GREAT book that I'll be reading over and over again.
3.5 stars. I'll be honest I found this book hard going, firstly i hated the cover, didn't do justice to the story at all, secondly I really disliked the main character Molly, I know your supposed to hate Devlin her nemesis/boss secret love but she really wound me up!, throughout the book all she did was threaten him with physical violence mainly to his balls if she didn't get her own way, she was manipulative and really childish, but he loved her so he put up with it, also the fake fiancé thing was weak cause it was pretty damn obvious to anyone how they felt for each other and why they had to drag this out was beyond me, Molly denying him everytime but all Devlin had to do was raise an eyebrow and her knickers would fall off, some resolve there love. Now there're were good bits, I liked her friends, Viv, Sami & Manni was super sweet and loyal to a fault, now if they had books I would be interested to read those. The story was there just didn't grab me. Heh ho.
Razones por las que no me gustó: 1. Portada horrorosamente horrible.
No sé cómo logré terminarlo.
I was really expecting this to be awesome, so many great reviews I'm wondering if I read something completely different!???? I found the heroine a real piece of work, she was childish, annoying and over the too for the whole book. Her acid tongue was just too much. The hero ended up becoming a door mat. I hated his nickname 'Devil' and didn't get the dynamic with their relationship at all. for a man with pots of money he was a complete sap with her. She walked all over him!!! He wasn't alpha enough for me and I felt the book dragged, on..... And on...... And on.......
I love a humorous romp of a book but sadly for me this was just too over the top!!
I think Sizzle is my absolute most favorite book that I have read in 2014. I LOVED it so much!
It’s no secret that I’m a huge Sarah O’Rourke fan and I dying to read this. It was so hard to be patient, waiting for it to come up on my reading calendar. I wanted to skip ahead so bad.
We’ve got Molly and the Devil.
Yeah. That’s why I wanted to read it too. All the excerpts, the blurb, the cover, I just could not wait.
I laughed out loud so many times. I was teary eyed more than once. And let me tell you, this book was H-O-T. Nobody writes spicy scenes like Sarah O’Rourke. Talk about feeling like you are right there in the pages with your favorite characters. Wow.
Molly. Molly is so full of sass and spunk, she doesn’t take anything lying down, tells it like it is, and I absolutely adored her. Totally got a girl crush on her, even when I thought she might be overreacting a bit. I mean, really. When it comes to William Delancy, I can imagine it would easy to overreact every single time about everything.
I loved every main character in the book from Molly’s family and friends to William’s grandma.
I can’t say enough good things about Sizzle.
If I was only able to recommend one book all year for people to read, it would be this one.
I adored it so hard and I want to go back and reread it just to get back that feeling you get when you have read an amazing book that you didn’t want to put down. One of those tours that you feel honored to be a part of.
Thank you so much for my copy of Sizzle. I cannot wait to see what comes next from Sarah O’Rourke.
Molly Ramsey is used to William "Devil" Delancy's antics, his constant carousel of women with his standard break up is just the beginning. When his latest conquest comes in broken hearted and Molly has to keep her out of Devil's office, she doesn't cower down like most and give him a piece of her mind. When the call comes in that Devil's grandma is in the hospital with heart problems, Molly is by Devil's side. Through thick or thin, Molly and Devil have been considered family of a sort and been close. However nothing in their long friendship had given Devil any reason to announce to his ailing grandmother that they are engaged.
Molly wants to break the fake engagement before it starts, especially with Devil's philandering ways. Devil though sees an opportunity, he has wanted Molly for over a year and had not been sure how to get Molly to see him as a man rather than boss and friend. Together they blunder though especially with Molly's temper and Devil's art of negotiations.
Very fun read. Devil doesn't go the easy route to show Molly how he feels, he makes a few mistakes along the way. Had some really funny moments that had me laughing out loud. Perfect weekend read.
Once the ruthless business tycoon fenageled a marriage acceptance, he used his magical sex God skills to keep his feisty red head PA/BF's kid sister/fiancé off the ledge. With her lack of self confidence & denial getting down the aisle was not an easy task as Murphy's law was in play.
A little unusual to have such erotic novel with a devout church goer. Her BFs & family are a blood thirsty lot - bibles, guns & plotting demise of the groom on several occasions.
It was funny, silly, over the top drama & thoroughly entertaining.
2.5 Stars. If it wasn’t for the heroine Molly, I think I would have enjoyed the book more. Not a bad read for me but towards the end, there was quite a bit of skimming done to finish the book.
This book was amazing. I love these two ladies and they have created another masterpiece. This book is naughty, hilarious, raunchy, and full of some crazy one liners. These ladies create a alpha that was the perfect naughty and nice package in the form of a Devil. Get ready for one hell of a ride with the devil at your side.
This is Devil and Molly's story. Devil is a multimillionaire with women falling in line for a chance to take a ride to hell with the devil. Molly is Devil's secretary and also sister of Devil's best friend. They have known each other their entire lives. Devil was always the playboy. Molly was the awkward, not so small, curvy, plain girl. But Devil has a secret and things are about to get super complicated between to friends.
Devil has been in love with Molly but never crossed the line with her because of the complication it would cause. But when Devil's grandmother falls ill and is close to death, she tells him she wants him to be a married man before she dies. Devil sees an opportunity to claim Molly once in for all. So when Molly accepts a deal with the Devil, things are about to get more complicated. Get ready for a sexy and hilarious ride with the Devil.
Will Molly accept her feelings for Devil and take a chance on love? Will Devil be able to prove to her that he is not the playboy she thinks he is? Will Molly and Devil get their HEA?
I loved Devil. God the man was amazing. He was so sweet, protective, alpha, possessive, and such a go getter. The man was ruthless and took what he wanted. I loved Molly. God I wanted to smack her when she was resisting Devil. I mean seriously she had the perfect man right in front of her. But she was awesome and I loved how she didn't take any crap from Devil. I loved Molly and Devil together. While she resisted, their fate was inevitable. They had sparks and chemistry, enough to burn down buildings.
The funniest scene in the entire book is so worth mentioning. It is when Devil finds out about his grandmother being in the hospital and Molly drives him there. I laughed so hard from the banter between these two. BEST. SCENE. EVER.
I really want Grant's backstory! So I am keeping my fingers crossed. :)
“One moment she wanted to pluck out his eyeballs and serve them to her pets as a succulent treat, and the next he was melting her heart with the tender things he said. He was an enigma.”
“Molly’s alternating between rounds of rampant cursing and violent tears. At this rate, she’s gonna strain her vocal chords and dehydrate at the same time.”
“If you had married my wife, she would roast your balls over the fire and serve them to you on a bed of rice, one forkful at a time.”
“Molly was a wily one; she’d tricked him into believing she was harmless in the past, only to prove later that she was as dangerous as a wildebeest in heat.”
“She hated it when her brother used things like logic and reason to win an argument. It really ought to be considered cheating.”
My Review:
Sizzle is the third Sarah O’Rourke book I have devoured in a matter of months, and these gals just get better and better with each new work. I was in a constant state of catching my breath. I was either chuckling or laughing aloud from the clever humor, or panting and gasping from the steamy love scenes. These ladies can certainly bring the spice, and they use every bottle in the spice rack while doing so… even the ones we never know how or when to use. I do believe they have penned my favorite car ride of all time when they adroitly detailed Molly driving her boss to see his dear beloved Nana in the hospital. I expected to enjoy this book, but I was totally blown away by their ever increasing skill and acumen to entertain and titillate. Their dialog is witty, sharp, insightful, and intelligent. Their sassy humor is as endearing as it is amusing. Their characters are fun, smart, irreverent, and are people I personal would like to know. I adored this book from beginning to end, and am already eager to see what these two come up with next, although it would be extremely hard if not impossible to top this one.
This book was a ball buster!! I laughed so many times through this book!! Not to mention the cover is HAWT!! I have never read a book by this author before, but after this one, I am definitely looking up the rest of her books!!
Molly works for "Devil" Delancy but he isn't just her employer but a close family friend. She has never looked at him as anything but annoying jerk who makes her shield him from his last "conquest." She is tired of it and has no qualms about letting him know. Molly is a redheaded spit fire and LOVED her!! She had a big heart for the ones she loves but never has an issue about telling it like it is, that is until it concerns her love life and Devil.
Devil has always been known as the "bachelor" to tie down but he has never felt the need. When Molly swept into his office she also swept his heart with her. Molly doesn't know that and Devil can't quite tell her either. But when his Nana is hospitalized and given not long to live, she gives him her last dying wish, to see him happily married. Devil does the one thing he think of, ask Molly of course! But Molly is not exactly on board at first. Can Devil show her that he isn't in it just for his Nana's sake?
Oh god!! The antics between those two and their friends and family kept me laughing through the entire book!! His Nana has to be the best nana ever!! Don't get me wrong, the chemistry between Devil and Molly was steam worthy and the sex scenes were HAWT!!! The two of them together would light Hell on fire!! A must read!!
I started off laughing my head off with this story. It had some really good one liners, punch lines and a hot male called Devil. Unfortunately it went off on one and it lost its impetus as the story progressed.
could had been a really good, hot read but Molly did my head in and it took too long to get there.
The lead female starts strong and feisty but by half way though all o a sudden she is putty in his hand and to submissive. You don't change u personality that quick If ever that quickly so I give this a 2 star rating at best. Wish that author had keeps the characters on track instead of messing it all up, like deciding to finger paint over a lovely painting.
Great banter between the characters! I just think it's necessary to say the cover to this book is not my favorite. I think that's my only complaint about the book!

SIZZLE introduces us to Molly, a 24yo Executive Assistant to William, aka Devil, a 38yo millionaire and reputed ladies man. Both families have been friends for years, with Devil being a part of Molly’s life since she was born.
When Devil’s beloved Nana has a heart attack, she makes it known that her dying wish was to see her grandson get married and have children. Seeing this as the perfect opportunity to get the woman he’s been dying to have for the past year, he tricks Molly into becoming his fiancé. Molly is livid, but she wants Nana happy in her last days too so she agrees to the fake engagement. But Devil is hiding a secret: he doesn’t want Molly for a fake engagement or temporary marriage, he’s been in love with her since she started working for him and wants her as his real and lifelong wife.
The first thing I have to say about SIZZLE is that it took me almost four days to finish. It is a long book (130,000+ words), but overall I found it just couldn’t keep my attention. When day four rolled around, I was skipping quite a lot just so I could finally finish it and move on to another book.
One of the things that had me rolling my eyes was the constant talk of maiming and killing someone. It was quite funny at first, but when every character was making those same kind of threats repeatedly, it stopped being funny and ended up feeling like an old recycled joke.
Now to the good stuff. Despite what I said above, this is a funny book.
And I have to say the supporting characters are fantastic. Every character has an amazing sense of humour and felt like they belonged in the book. I don’t think there is one character I would change.
And I can’t forget the sex. I mean, just WOW!!!
I liked Molly and Devil. Molly felt real: her reactions, fears and insecurities were spot on. She’s very insecure about her body, and sometimes this comes across as a little annoying, but then you have to remember that Devil has been parading around town with stick-thin model types, so her insecurities are not without reason. Devil was one hot alpha-male. He dominates this world, and those that cross him learn true fear in the face of his threats. My only annoyance with Devil is he’s another uber-dominant male, who for some reason can’t tell the woman he likes that he has feelings for her. Hello??? For God’s sake, man up and tell the girl you like her.

This book was not funny, it was seriously hysterical from the very beginning to the very end! I laughed so hard I ran out of tears and moved to coughing, while still laughing myself silly. Twice my clueless 38yr old son walked by and wondered who I was talking to, he couldn't understand reading a novel this freaking fun. (aside: both my 37&38 yr old had to be beaten to read, yet technical or about chess, etc, content area and they will inhale, huh) Nevertheless, Ms. O'Rourke, you completely had me enthralled and dying of laughter throughout this entire novel! I adored the characters, such dimensions, from one extreme to another! Everyone, not just the main characters, but the secondary were a flipping mess! I think they were lost from my family! Seriously, readers, need to be uplifted with a well written novel that has comedy central within, vindictive scary women, and men who of course think they have all that and a bag of chips, this is definitely your mood shaker! Thank you Ms. O'Rourke, I needed to make the tears to go away, they did and more!
Enjoyable storyline but I have to be honest there was a lot of waffle in a book that could have been so much better if the author hadn’t overwritten and overdramatised the relationship. Characters were funny and charismatic with their side kicks joining in the fun, but lost points about half way through when indecisiveness and stupidity ruled. Liked the episodes at the end detailing the next phase of their lives and really like this author, just a bit too long.
Loved this book!!! It had me in giggling fits and wanting to fist bump the main female character in the story!! She isn’t afraid to say what she thinks and kick some butt if needed! I have that same personality so instantly took to her!! Plus she’s a curvy southern red head so I was instantly able to put myself into the story! Lol😂 this storyline and characters were well developed and amazing and I truly enjoyed this book! I couldn’t put it down!!
Molly and Devil have known each other since she was born, but now that she's grown Devil has made his move and told Molly they are going to be married. What follows is the result. Full of ups and downs but you can't put the book down. You have to see how they manage to overcome all the problems.
Devil and Molly had me from the get go. Their banter was hilarious and sexy at the same time! Molly’s feisty while Devil’s all alpha. The perfect combination
The chemistry is off the chart in this Sarah O'Rourke book. As always the humor, and great chemistry and steamy scenes that are part of all her books keep me enthralled from start to finish. I thank the day that I discovered these books they are such an enjoying way to spend an afternoon. Loved the characters and family feel of this book. Even the secondary characters were such an important part of the story. Great book.
