"Move over Twilight! Here comes Aaron Patterson!" --Joshua Graham, bestselling author of Beyond Justice and Darkroom
"I was surprised by how much I really, really liked this book. I have not jumped on the whole "fallen angel" bandwagon, just as I didn't jump on all of the vampire stories that came out after Twilight. This is not your typical fallen angel story. It is one that has left me breathlessly waiting for the next one in the series. Hurry up please!!!" --Sandra Stiles
*This box set is the complete series. It includes all the Airel Saga books 1-6.

Pursued ferociously, relentlessly by an ancient enemy in the deepest darkness, now she will have to learn how to fight for her life. And all because of who she is, because of her lineage. Because of this she will never have what she wants most: she will never be normal.
AIREL, The Discovering Book 2 All Airel wanted was to be normal...
How will Airel manage now that everything's changed? She thinks she might be falling in love, though Michael Alexander isn't her type. But those eyes. Why does she want what she can't have? But it turns out freedom isn't cheap, and it isn't easy. Michael will have to make hard decisions now. The chase for truth will take them from Oregon to Africa, on a journey fraught with peril at every step. There's something about Airel's friend Kim, too; something's not right with her. And who is this brash latecomer, Ellie? Is it admiration he feels for her, or is it something else? Whom can he trust? More importantly, can he trust himself?
URIEL, The Inheritance Book 5 All Uriel wanted was to be loved...
When heroes start to tell lies, even to themselves: Uriel. She's spent thousands of years fighting against her destiny, fighting against her bereaved father, against El Himself. "It's just one letter, but it's my letter, father..." What happened in Cape Town is going to have consequences for everyone she knows and loves, even though they all make efforts to plug back into their routine at home. She can't help wondering when the bill for all she's done is finally going to come due.
If your looking for action, this book has some of that too, but although you get angels and demons fighting you get too much romance that you're possibly not looking for.
I hated the ending. I'd grown attached to the main characters. They drew me in. Hence the 4 stars. I love when books bring me into store so to speak. I must admit to skimming in parts. I got bored unless I was reading about the main characters..... I really loved this book, this series until the end. I turned the last page and the...miracle I thought would be there wasn't. It's a bit startling. A little raw even.... like an alternative cinema read Where the good guys don't necessarily win.
What a disappointment!!!! Hours of reading I will never get back. The constant changes of time and POV were confusing, and hard to follow. The ending felt abrupt and unresolved. I think readers deserve a better ending than this. If an author wants readers to invest our time on reading their books, then the author should, at least provide a conclusion that resolves questions and/or provide a glimpse into what happens to the characters. It felt as though the author was just tired of writing the story and just ended it.
I have never given such a low rating on a book, and the only reason it got 2 stars instead of one was because I liked the characters.
Does anyone else have some insight that maybe I am missing?
I loved the Airel Saga!!! I did think Airel cried waaaaayy too much though. I did end up liking Michael, until he became a backstabber!! He was forgiven ultimately though. I did love how the author went back in time every so often to give us a look back at how everything came together. The ending was sad, but happy. I have to admit I did cry because I get seriously immersed with books. I know, I'm pathetic. I got this book at 0.99 cents and I thought it was worth it. There is a lot of drama to deal with in these books though.
Oooohhhh man, what a snore fest! I did not finish this series, I got part way through the third installment and gave up. It started with great potential then lost the point of the story, whatever it was, along the way.
The author begins to switch POVs in the third book with no transitions, no chapter headings, nothing. In the first two, the chapters stated which character was speaking; guess that was too hard to continue.
This is definitely a series that needs to be read from start to finish. Most of the books end in a weird spot in the story, or in the case of the first book with no definitive climax etc. It is a very interesting storyline and I'm surprised that I hadn't heard more about it beforehand. As the books go on they do get more interesting and nail biting, but at the loss of grammatical editing and proper tenses.
What a woven tapestry of characters and plots that lean heavily on Biblical principles, using today's timing and standards! You will cheer for Michael and Airel as they travel through their story. The book ends as it has to, ultimately, but it is good news.
What an amazing series. It ended the way I needed it to. A must read for everyone! I laughed, I cried, I got angry and then I found peace in this book!!!!
