Hermione thought she was the only person in the world who would spend Valentine's Day in a Graveyard, but she was wrong. He's there. Every single year, with his gloves, roses, and answers. Dramione Valentine's Day one-shot. Post-Hogwarts. EWE. Words: 9,193 complete
I guess this marks my formal initiation into Dramione fanclub 😌
"You know, you won't find redemption in a graveyard, Malfoy." His half-smirk disappeared and he straightened his spine. "I'm not looking for redemption, Granger. I'm just looking for a respite."
I really, really liked this one! The fact that it spans over so many years is definitely a bonus 😍
"Why do you come here today?" "The same reasons as you, I presume," he shrugged. "There are hardly many people who would choose to spend Valentine's Day in a graveyard, and I prefer to be alone." "But you're not alone," she pointed out. "I'm here too." His lips twitched. "Perhaps I don't mind your presence so much," he said quietly.
Bex-chan is one of my favourite authors, one of the few that can make me come back every now and then to reread her works. I thoroughly enjoyed the first piece of her writing that I read, 'Isolation', giving me a high expectation for her writing, and this piece did not disappoint at all.
I did not expect a romance story to be based in a graveyard, but it was a nice surprise to have a change. A new side of Draco, this time more mature and well mannered, was displayed in the story. I loved how their relationship progressed from being slightly wary, to a near friendship that was close to ruptured when he said she was charming, to something more than friendship in that awkward moment when they were about to kiss, then to that heated argument that led to their confessions and the actual kiss. And then we were hit with the last chapter, which was quite heart-breaking. I usually like happy endings, but this was so complete that I felt it was perfectly fine to have a sad ending.
I would recommend it to Harry Potter fans and people who like short and sweet stories.
The most perfectly written angst one-shot I've ever read. Personal Rating: 5☆
Go read everything from Bex-Chan bc her writing are perfect, skilled, realistic & on point! I'm still obsess over the song Silent Valentine that inspired this fic and it has been 4 years now!
Draco..Draco..Draco..
"It's clear already, I will never be good for you So I must keep quiet, never giving up all the truth Of what I'm feeling"
I was told it was sad but I found it lovely. Bex’s style it’s just amazing, it was a roller coaster but very cute, idk if that makes sense. Simply love it.
Bex-chan is truly gifted for writing a fic under 10k words that became an instant 5 star for me. That last chapter was just cruel though, I was heartbroken. 🌹💔
