DeLeo's Action Thriller Singles #3

Peace: A Navy SEALS Novel

Rate this book
Brutally tempered during his imprisonment in Iraq, Peace (Pauley) becomes a deadly sentinel against America's enemies
Dan and Pauley walk to school together, beginning a lifetime friendship. Dan embraces honor and courage, while Pauley endures his school years in fear. They go their separate ways after high school, until fate reunites them in an Iraqi prison cell. Finally rejecting his fear, Pauley dedicates himself to following Dan's example.

Earning his way onto the Navy Seal Team, Dan commands, Pauley embarks on a path paralleling Dan's. In dogged defense of their nation, Dan leads with concrete ideals, and Pauley follows from the shadows. Peace, as Pauley is known to his Seal Team comrades, blends honor and duty with darker means. Brutally tempered during his imprisonment in Iraq, Peace becomes a deadly sentinel against America's enemies.

Peace

This book was excellent. I was impressed by the way it read. Not exactly accurate but impressive just the same. It showed me how close a team can work and how successful it can be. It also showed me what a great country I live in, not that I didn't already know that, but what can be done when someone does something against it. I was sorry to have it end. I wish DeLeo would write more about Peace. Guess I'm going to read the next one and find out what's going on next.

What a great book, 5 stars all the way around.

An unassuming young man who went through a life changing event that opened his eyes to the reality of evil and then set about to do something about it. Nothing in this book is very far from the reality that we're living in. My hope is that Mr. De Leo continues to write in this vain and if so I will continue buying.

A navy seals novel

There was a great deal of suspense through-out. Most of it is not credible, but made for interesting reading. The seals are very talented in what they have been trained for but are not super heros. Let's not put targets on their backs.

I really liked this character Peace. I have read almost all of your books, sorry not into demons etc per se.
Harding and McCarty and their crews are quite awesome. Cold Mountain is also a great character.
Peace though let me say speaks volumes in his way to have overcome and is such a great character.

It is a shame that Amazon only allows 5 stars because I feel this book deserves so much more. From the very begging I was drawn into the words and found this book so very hard to put down even to sleep at times. Even though this is a fictional novel the characters became so real to me that I feared for then when the action started. The array of characters is truly amazing and the development of each personality was phenomenal.

One of my favorite things about this book is the family factor. Most of the characters have a mutual trust and love that I have never read before. It is so hard to classify this book because it has a bit of everything meshed together that makes it, in my opinion, a one of a kind. If you decide to get this book you will find out just what I mean. There were times I laughed to hard that I had my family looking at me like I had lost my mind and other times where I was crying so hard I couldn't see the words for the tears.

As I read and learned about the main character, Peace, I could not help but to fall in love with him. He is everything a leading character should be and so much more.

I can not recommend this book enough to anyone who enjoys being pulled into a novel and have their attention held captive from beginning to end.

Pauley Peacenik rules

Peace is a great Navy SEALs action adventure story. Peace and Dan grew up next door to each other and are now part of the same Navy SEAL team. The entire team are a closely knit group and have each other's back at all times.

They are deployed to hot spots all over the world. There are also dangerous situations at home that must be taken care of. Peace is a SEAL sniper, a very good one, as well as an occasional bartender, singer and piano player.

Unfortunately there are more than 100 typos in addition to numerous punctuation errors. For example, Peace is also referred to as Pease and Piece.

You'll enjoy the characters and their banter as well as their courage under fire. DeLeo writes outstanding action thrillers and calls them pulp fiction, but he is up there with the best.

interesting read

and lengthy. I like that. I'm not afraid of a six hundred + page book. especially if it's written by one of my favorite authors. it's all the action I've come to expect plus more. friendship, comradery, a sense of right and wrong.... all these things happen in Mr DeLeo's books. HOO-YA!!

Gripping

This book has a good story line, the characters were set up nicely, and there were twists to the action. Strong characters.
