An alumna of the University of Central Florida, Kandi graduated with a double major in Creative Writing and Advertising/PR with a minor in Women’s Studies. She took particular interest in writing romance after college, as she has always been a hopeless romantic and found herself bursting at the seams with love stories she was eager to tell.

Oh this book…it had me tearing up in the prologue! When a book can grab you right away like that, from the very first few little words – you know its going to be an exceptional read. Kandi Steiner…wow. Just wow. Song Chaser is the 2nd book in the Chaser series, and as much as I adored the first book Tag Chaser, I loved, loved, loved – more than peanut butter chocolate ice cream - loved Song Chaser. It has all the characteristics of an epic love story – drama, heartbreak, passion, and those rip your hair out -want to kill the characters for being such boneheads - moments.

We first meet Tanner West in the first book, Tag Chaser. If you haven’t read it, you really damn well should! You can still read and enjoy Song Chaser if you want to start with his story, however I do recommend that you start with Tag Chaser. Tanner is suffering from a broken heart after losing the girl he was in love with to another guy. He’s closed off and miserable, drowning his sorrows in women and booze. His vulnerability is apparent, but he hides it under a tough exterior. And my what an exterior it is! Tall and muscular, with a dangerous smile that threatens to weaken the knees of any girl in the vicinity.

Kellee Brooks is a sassy, witty little spitfire. She’s a girl that doesn’t take crap from anyone and I just adored her. Kandi does such an amazing job writing her character – her dialogue both with herself and others was both hilarious when it needed to be, and heartbreaking when Tanner was being a total guy. She challenged Tanner in a way he never had been before, forcing him to see that his heart could heal and learn to love again. When they first meet, she flat-out turns him down…which stumps Tanner. Kellee however, is in no way unaffected by Tanner or his charms, she has her own issues from her past which hold her back from developing romantic relationships with anyone.

These two are on a journey of “firsts” together . After a chance run-in at a concert, Tanner vows to make it his mission to experience many more firsts with Kellee. Their relationship is both heartwarming and frustrating at the same time. Tanner is pulled in two directions as his heart starts to fall for Kellee, but his head won’t let go of Paisley – the girl he loved. While it was great to see Paisley and Corbin from the first book – their appearance wrecked havoc on the budding relationship between Tanner and Kelle…

I loved the diversity of this story – we experience life through Tanner’s eyes as he struggles to let go of the past and fight for the future that is standing right in front of him. All while he is finishing up his residency to become a Pediatric Doctor. Yes ladies…he’s sexy, smart, sinfully delicious and loves kids! Commence swooning here…I know I did. Kellee’s “Mee Ma” stole the show for me, she was a firecracker of a lady and her character was just the guiding force that Kellee needed.

“Maybe the key to finding the perfect song is simply rewriting the lyrics.” This quote completely sums up this book for me. They are both chasing different tunes, trying to find the chorus that will complete their own special hit of a song.

Do they find it? Or will their time together end up like just another one hit wonder? Pick up a copy of this one…you won’t be sorry.

Where to begin with this book?!
First off, if you haven't read Tag Chaser, DO IT NOW! (you don't have to read this book but you meet the sexy Tanner in it)I fell in love with Tanner then and this book hooked, lined and sinker-ed me.

This is a book you need to pick up as soon as it's live. I laughed, I cried, I felt their emotions run straight through me. I couldn't put it down.

This story is told in dual POV which she pulled off beautifully. I loved being able to see what Tanner was thinking and what Kellee was thinking. Kellee had eveything that I loved about a female main character, just the right amount of backbone, just the right of amount shyness, humor, she wasn't afraid to stand up for herself.

I'm not going to go into detail because I feel like I wouldn't convey it right, I'm not sure I have the words too. Kandi did though. She delivered an amazing story that reached every part of you. You will fall in love with all the characters even the minor ones. Each person brings something special to story and you can picture them perfectly. Or at least they will remind you of someone that you know. I enjoyed that immensely, characters that you could relate to. They weren't over the top, they were perfectly real.

I'm so lucky to know Kandi, then to be lucky enough to beta for her as well, is simply a blessing.

Seriously, how do I rate a book that is so much perfection? Kandi's writing hasn't only gotten better, it's surpassed any of my expectations, and they were already very high considering how great I already thought she was.

I'm not going to give you the premises of the book, or go into detail because I feel like this book needs to be read, felt...cherished---slowly. I don't want to give anything, not even one minuscule part of this book away. You need to read it for yourself. It pulls at so many emotions, I couldn't keep up. I laughed, I cried, I hurt, I clutched my iPad like it was a lifeline. There were times when I ached for each character. Told in a dual POV, you got to see into the minds of both characters, (which I love) and it's so easy to get lost. Lost in a world that you possibly don't ever want to leave. That's how Song Chaser makes you feel. You get so fully invested in the characters, that you wish they were you--or hell, you hope to at least know these phenomenal characters in real life.

Tanner--oh, God, just saying his name makes me all kinds of swoony. He wedged his way into my heart, and I don't ever want him to go. He's stolen it, and I'm confident it's in good hands. (That doesn't sound creepy, does it?) :) Then there's Kellee, she is one of those girls who you hope to find in a friend, she's--well, I told you I wouldn't go into detail, but just trust me when I say, she's a girl of all girls. She's everything you want in a character, and more. I always have a hard time connecting to women characters because most authors write them with no backbone, or the opposite, they are so harsh that you can't relate. That's not the case with Kellee. She's simply the best of both worlds.

Bravo, Kandi. I'm so proud of you, Big. You've written a book that will take our world by storm. I hope you're prepared.

<3

Read this book. Do yourself a favor and buy it the second it's LIVE because you don't want to miss out. It'll stay with you, that much I promise.

I only wish I could read it again for the first time.

“Song Chaser (Chasers #2)” by Kandi Steiner
5 out of 5 stars (and another 5 for superior hotness)!

I am loving this series by Kandi Steiner! It has everything I’m looking for in a series and oh so much more! The focus is this second installment shifts entirely on to Tanner and if you read my review of the first one you would know that I was like a fangirl meeting her favorite rockstar. Tanner is still struggling with his feelings for Paisley. It’s been a year since she made her choice and while they are back on solid footing when it comes to their friendship, he can’t seem to move past the idea that he has lost the perfect girl for him. When he meets Kellee, Tanner is forced to rethink everything he thought he knew about love and what he wants in a relationship. Will he realize that she is the one for him before it’s too late or will the torch he’s still carrying for Paisley burn up his one chance at true love?

I am in some serious book love with Tanner. He is just the perfect guy (if you overlook his obsession with a girl who has wholeheartedly chosen a different guy over him)! He is smart, witty, and oozing charm like there is no tomorrow. Underneath his amazing good looks and hot body beats a heart that’s dedicated to his pediatric hospital job and the kids. He’s not afraid of hard work and has determination in spades. I love that Tanner is so in tune with music and lives his life through the lyrics of the bands he loves. It was cool watching his journey of self discovery and seeing him learn what true love really looks like.

Kellee is a spitfire and the perfect compliment to Tanner. She’s not afraid to challenge him and expect more from him. Even though she would disagree, I think she’s a risk taker and quite brave for looking past her family’s expectations and following her own dreams. Like Tanner, she’s a hard worker and willing to put in the hours to make her dreams reality. I loved her spunkiness and the way she was just as into music as Tanner. They fit together so very well and the chemistry between the two of them was off the charts.

I appreciated Steiner keeping us up to date on the lives of Paisley and Corbin as well. It was cool to see their story continue to play out in this installment. Her writing style is super easy to read and very fluid. There is no good stopping point. Each chapter ends and you can’t wait to read the next one. Her character development was even better in this book and I would have easily given her an A for that in the last one. She’s an author worth investing your time and money in and her potential seems limitless at this point. I truly hope she continues this series because I’m not ready to leave theses characters behind yet. You won’t regret this purchase at all so buy it now and start reading!

I'm seriously beginning to love this author in a big way. After reading Tag Chaser I honestly wasn't sure she'd be able to top it but how wrong was I?! We do first meet Tanner in Tag Chaser and to be honest although both books can be read as a standalone it really would just be best to read them both, this way not only do you get the full effect of all that is Tanner but you read more awesome books. Win all round. I will say though, my heart did break a little for Tanner in Tag Chaser and when I heard this was going to be his story I wondered where it was gonna go. I needn't have worried. Once again from the first page I got sucked in and did not want to leave. I love how the author can write such awesome characters, flawed but still totally loveable. I laughed, I cried, I tried really hard not to snap at anyone who thought interrupting me while I was reading this was okay (not always successfully though) It made my heart race and had me on the edge of my seat just waiting to see how things would go. I love how real the books are. We all have issues and make mistakes but its what we do next that matters. I'd honestly recommend this book to everyone, I pretty much guarantee that anyone who tries this book will fall in love just as hard as I did. This author is definitely one to watch. Things are going from strength to strength and it seems like the sky really is the limit. :)

Ok so where do I start?! As much as I loved Tag Chaser I think I loved this book more! Song Chaser is about Tanner and his struggles to get over his best friend who he's been in love with for as long as he can remember. He's looking for that perfect girl who fits into all of his favorite songs. Kellee is a college student who loves music. all of the lyrics to his favorite songs. Tanner is so freaking swoony! I loved his witty banter with Kellee. Kellee was amazing! She was sexy and sassy and so hilarious! The relationship/friendship between them was epic! She meets Tanner and what happens next..well I'm not going to spoil it for you! Tanner shows his emotional growth and how life experiences change you outlook on the world. Kandi put her heart and soul into this book and it shows. She has shown how much she has grown as a writer. You can just tell by the sheer emotion that you can feel when you read what her characters are going through. You feel like you are experiencing it with them. Every twist and turn is an amazing roller coaster ride. Thank you for taking me on this ride! It was an incredible book! And for those of you who haven't read Tag Chaser book 1 this book can be read as a standalone so either you can read them in order or not either way you should read them both!

Oh, unrequited love. So hard to get over, especially when you’re in love with your best friend and she doesn’t feel the same way.

Tanner West finally admitted to Paisley that he’s been in love with her for years. Too bad Tanner decided to confess just after Paisley found the man of her dreams and it wasn’t Tanner. So, for over a year, Tanner has been trying to move past his love for Paisley. He’s settled for a revolving door of hookups until one night, at his favorite bar, he meets Kellee Brooks.

Kellee is working two jobs, going to school full time and hasn’t taken the time to have fun in New York City. Meeting the gorgeous Tanner West while working as a bartender, Kellee has heard the stories about Tanner and “his girl” in Florida. Kellee is instantly attracted to Tanner. Tanner manages to get past Kellee’s walls and convince her to go out with him. But, can Tanner figure out a way to keep Paisley out of the equation and put his past behind him? Can Tanner put Kellee first?

I really liked this second book in the Chasers series. Tanner and Kellee have great chemistry, and it was fun to read as their story unfolded through the smart-assed barbs back and forth between them. I loved how Tanner came across as truly clueless in a relationship. The conversations with his parents were a riot! And Kellee, torn about her decision to move to New York for school and the broken relationship with her father, has a wonderful grandmother to ground her in reality and tell her how it is. Paisley still plays a role in the relationship between Tanner and Kellee, but it’s up to Tanner and Kellee as to how much influence Paisley has in their future. ~ Missy, 4 stars

From almost the very beginning, I was pulled into the tangled mess of Tanner's mind and heartbreak. He is such a HOT mess. Tanner has always loved Paisley, pairing her with every song he's ever heard. Unfortunately for Tanner, he almost ruined their friendship by pouring his heart out to her, trying to "steal" her from the relationship Paisley is in. Kellee is struggling, working in Sal's bar and restaurant to put herself through college. Kellee has her own dysfunctional family situation she that is breaking her heart and slowly killing her spirit. When a second chance encounter brings Tanner and Kellee together, sparks fly and hearts get broken all over again.

I really loved Kellee! She was open and spunky, but still managed to be tender. Tanner had his moments where I wanted to smack him & hug him. When they are together, sparks fly and clothes catch fire. Unfortunately, tears flow and hearts are also shattered.

I will definitely be looking for other books by Kandi Steiner! There weren't any noticeable errors, the book flowed and you really feel as if you are sitting around with all the characters. The ending leaves you wanting more while still giving you closure and a promise that the best is yet to come, for everyone.

True to life read! As a beta reader I feel I am supposed to look at a story with a critical eye and be almost emotionless when reading the draft of a book. I have failed my beta duties while reading this book! I got so caught up in the lives of these characters that I was begging the author, Kandi Steiner, for more pages to read and not proofreading what had already been written! That is how amazing this book is!! Getting to see the male and female point of view is very refreshing and you are rooting for both of them! It really could be a real life story and not just fiction! I have personally experienced some of the parts in this book and hope to experience even more parts... :) The smiles, the laugh out louds, the smirks, tears and the need to close my bedroom door moments are amazing!
I cannot wait to see what Kandi Steiner has in store for us in the future!

After reading Tag Chaser earlier in the week I knew I should immediately follow up with this one. Getting to meet Tanner in the first book wasn’t enough and I’m glad that he got his own story. Similar issues to the first book in that it’s under 300 pages and could have definitely used more pages to really get to know the characters. I loved their bond, but would have loved to see it on a deeper level. This one did make me cry though! I’m so impressed that these were her first two novels because they don’t really feel like debuts. I’m so excited to say I’ve finally read Kandi’s first series after being a fan of hers for so long!

This is book #2 of the Chasers series and although it can be read as a standalone, it would be nice to read Tag Chaser. The author did a great job with the backstory for those that didn’t read TC. I just would recommend reading book 1. In this book we learn about Tanner West and how he needs to go about getting over Paisley.

Kandi does an excellent job with characters, just like in Tag Chaser. Tanner has a bright future as a doctor and realizes that he always falls for the wrong girls. He is always chasing after that one girl that can be the answer to all his songs. Not only does he love his music but he is a pick-up line whore! In the nicest sense. :) He even delivered a few ones that I had forgot about. Now I know the author did this on purpose and built him as such. But I will admit that I did get slightly annoyed. His time in the Pediatrics did him some justice and his gorgeous body gave him a few more points. Now onto Kellee. Student Kellee Brooks is a spitfire. She is strong and didn’t take what Tanner dished. Working 2 jobs and going to school keeps a girl very busy. Mee Ma saves the day for Kellee. I loved her grandmother, she keeps Kellee grounded and offers the best advice.

I am a fan of music and loved how Tanner and Kellee bonded and formed their own foundation for their relationship. These two meet and aren’t ready for love. They had to grow together and do the many ‘firsts’ in the relationship. But when tragedy strikes these two learn that living life is more important that waiting around.

Song Chaser is a great story on how 2 people can overcome their pasts and make a song of their own. 4 smooches!

Song Chaser is the second book in this series and comes after Tag Chaser. The can both be read as stand alone books, but I suggest reading Tag Chaser first because then you'll know a bit about the background between him and his best friend, Paisley.

It took me a bit to warm up to Tanner, because I was definitely not his biggest fan after Tag Chaser. That being said, I warmed up to Tanner nicely when it came to his feelings for Kellee. I think she was patient and put up with a crap-ton of emotional drama because of Tanner, but when you've been in love with someone as long as Tanner had been with Paisley it's going to take a bit to let go of that dream.

Kellee - Oh, I liked her character a lot. She was funny, sweet, and really liked Tanner. Together Tanner and Kellee were a combustible force. I don't want to give any spoilers, but everything that happened the party with his friends drew me to finally falling for Tanner. *Insert Total Swoon Here*

Song Chaser has a little angst and a lot of emotion. Next time you want a good romance with some yummy sexiness, this quick read will keep you entertained.

I'll say it now, this is another awesome beach read from Kandi Steiner. It keeps you hooked and makes you happy thinking that Tanner may actually get his own happily ever after. After reading Paisley and Corbin's story in Tag Chaser move on to read Tanner and Kellee's love story in Song Chaser.

Wow..."Insert Thoughts Here"(don't worry you will get that after you read the book ;) )... I am speechless.

I would first like to say thank you to the author Kandi Steiner for allowing me to Beta Read this book for her. I loved every minute of it! Watching you build this amazing story was a privilege and you are truly inspirational. I believe you have amazing things coming your way and this book is just the beginning. I couldn't imagine it needing to be any better than this because this book is truly amazing.

Song Chaser will have you engulfed starting with the very first page. I will not re-cap what happened because I believe you must read this story yourself to get it. You will feel every emotion with the characters and I believe everyone can relate to this love story. Nothing about this is predictable and Tanners story will surpass everyone's expectations. After reading Tag Chaser I was on the Corbin train... well Corbin who!? Tanner is where its at! Don't expect a filter when reading Tanners hot and steamy moments, you may want to turn the air down because this book definitely turns up the heat! Please add this book to your must read number ONE slot! Also, please add this author to your list of MUST READS on all her work, because if this is what she pumps out as a new writer I cant wait to grow old reading her books.

I know Kandi was biting her nails when she sent me a copy to give an honest review, but she had nothing to worry about because I freaking loved it! It had been a few reads since I was eager to get back to my book when I had to take the necessary breaks like dinner, but who needs to eat when you are reading Song Chaser? You can blame the hubby and kids who dragged me away from my reading corner, but not for long!

One of my favorite parts of this book was it was a realistic romance. There was no billionaire riding in on his power and money train to seduce a girl who was broken to bits. Actually, this was about a hard working woman, Kellee, who wanted to help a broken man, Tanner, put the pieces in his life back together. and you know us females love a damaged man and we love it even more when we get to be the ones to make them whole again. I can see this storyline relatable to many who will read it which makes it more heart felt. It also helps that Tanner is a fine piece of man candy! *wink*

Beautifully written with no unnecessary filler, drama, and a solid character personalities. You will laugh, cry and want to slap the crap out of Tanner a couple of times; I guarantee it!

This book is incredible!! If you haven't read book one in the series Tag Chaser, do it now!!
I fell completely in love with Tanner and he had me captivated through ever single page.
This book is one of those books that need to be read instantaneously. As soon as it is published, it needs to be purchased and read. The writing style of this book allowed for me to feel every single emotion as if I were experiencing it first hand.
The story is told in a dual POV which is difficult to write, however; Kandi did it beautifully. Being able to see what each character was feeling helped me to get an inside perspective and a deeper understanding of the situations.
Throughout this book you will fall in love with the characters and the plot line. This story is a must read for everyone! :)

Song Chaser is an amazing book! I suggest that you read Tag Chaser first so that you can understand the relationship between Tanner and his best friend Paisley.

“I want you. For me. For only me,” he breathes the words hard against my neck. “For now. Forever. For the right reasons and for the wrong ones. For happily ever after or for a category five storm. I,” a kiss. “Want,” another kiss. “You.”

After reading Tag Chaser, I had a feeling i would not be disappointed when reading this book. I was right. This book was Absolutely Beautiful. We first meet Tanner in Tag Chaser, which led to me being super excited to pick his book up. This book is told from the POV's of Tanner and Kellee. Which i love when authors do this. I like to know what each character is thinking and feeling. Now if you have read Tag Chaser you will understand why Tanner is one of those characters you cant help but love. He is incredibly Sexy, Charming, Sweet and Loyal. He is always putting those he loves above anything else. After getting his heart broken by his best friend Paisley, who fell in love with Corbin before Tanner had a real chance to tell her how he felt, he was left to pick up his shattered heart. As much as he tried moving on, he just couldn't let go of the fact he has always seen Paisley as his future. Now that it is no longer an option, the only chose he has is to get up and move on. Then when one night he meets Kellee. She is Beautiful, Smart and has an ugly past of her own. They instantly have this attraction that neither knows what to do with. Tanner is still trying to get over Paisley, while Kellee is trying to escape her past. I loved their relationship so much. Their banter with each other was enjoyable to read. They were always pushing and pulling and there relationship was far from perfect. It was not instant. It grew with each day they were together. It was full of Passion, Humor, Heartbreak, Insecurities and Love. It was absolutely beautiful to read. I felt everything they were going through. There were times i wanted to hit Tanner, for being such a complete ASS. There were times i wanted to slap Kellee for not being patient with Tanner. There were times i literally was melting in my seat from the things Tanner would say to Kellee. Or vice versa. But most of all, i was just hoping against hope that Tanner would finally open those sexy eyes of his and see that his Future, Kellee, was in front of him the entire time. I will say that chapter 18 was a long time coming. I freaking loved it. That is when their relationship finally blooms into the most beautiful love neither could have dreamed of. Of course Tanner being Tanner, ruins it with one mistake. Not being honest with Kellee and not putting her first. I was so mad, i wanted to shake him and ask him what the hell he was thinking. Then just when things are not looking so hot for Tanner and Kellee, Tanner gets a wake up call. Not only from his Parents but his Best Friend Paisley. And boy, does she give it to him big time. After releazing his mistakes, Tanner realizes he might have lost the only girl who he has ever truly loved. Will he be able to win Kellee back? Will Kellee take him back? Hmmmm the questions. I will say the ending was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. I couldn't have asked for a better ending. Just when you think it is over though, we get an Epilogue that was AMAZING! SIGH!

If you are looking for a book that has beautiful writing, that will make you feel and that you will love every second of, this is the book for you. I highly recommend it. You will not be disapointed. I cant wait to read more of Kandi Steiner's work. She is simply, AMAZING!

It feels like I have been waiting for Song Chaser for a very long time. I remember reading Tag Chaser when it came out and I was in love. I have never read anything like it and I was utterly blown away. I LOVED Paisley and especially Corbin and never thought anything would compare to them and their story. And Tanner, I was NOT a fan of! I did not really like him at all actually. I was skeptical going into Song Chaser. I wanted to support my girl and read it and I was excited, just cautious. And I was blown away... it blew every single expectation I could of possibly had for this book away. I still here trying to find the words to describe how beautiful this story is. Tanner was broken after Paisley chose Corbin. He was trying to get over her and put the pieces of his broken heart back together. Filling the void any way he possibly could. And one night he meets a beautiful blond with mesmerizing freckles. She captivates him in ways he never thought possible. But this girl is also damage and has her own baggage. But she is equally as captivated with Tanner as he is for her. They try the " friend" way but they start to fall fast. But as time moves very quickly for the growing couple Kellee starts to realize that Tanner is STILL in love with Paisley and Tanner continues to put Paisley's needs, wants and more in front of Kellee. So she starts to withdraw from Tanner. So will these two be able to have a relationship after all? can Kellee over come her fears of becoming like her mother? can Tanner let go of Paisley once and for all? or can they all come to an agreement and find something that works for them all? you will have to read to find out!
But let me tell you this, it was amazing. It was beautiful. I hate to admit it ( don't kill me Corbin!! I LOVE YOU BOO!) but I seriously loved Song Chaser more than Tag Chaser. It was beautiful. It had so much more that Tag Chaser did NOT have. We got so much background. We had HILARIOUS moments, ground breaking moments, earth-shattering moments. We had laughs, we cried, it was just pure enjoyment all around. I seriously fell in love with Tanner! in Tag Chaser I thought he was a douche and a manipulator and a horrible "best friend" but he proved me wrong in this book, boy did he ever.
You will NOT be disappointed. PROMISE! ;-)

So very proud of Kandi! she has come a very long way from Tag Chaser and she has a fan for life. I look forward to everything she has to write :-)

"For now. Forever. For the right reasons and for the wrong ones. For happily ever after or for a category five storm."

"I don't know how to get you over her, but I want to help. I want to make that goofy smile of yours stay put and chase those ghosts in your eyes away."

"I'm afraid of you," "I'm afraid of being with you tonight, of falling for you, of you falling for me, and most of all I'm scared s***less that I might hurt you and break myself in the process."

"Nothing good in this life comes without pain, but you'll never figure that out if you can't stick around long enough to see the rainbow that comes after the storm."

"Sweet. So does that mean I can fart in front of you now?" ( I laughed so hard throughout this book!)

"There are no rainbows with you, Tanner. I thought you were a storm I could tame, a storm I could survive. Turns out, you're a category five hurricane, and I'm not sticking around to let you destroy me."

What a great book! What a great writer! She is now on my list of must reads.

Song Chaser, book two of The Chaser series, is Tanner’s story and my favorite book in the series. From the jump the story grabs the readers’ heart and won’t let go. Tanner carries a torch for Paisley, his best friend. He always thought they would get together but Paisley loves Corbin. Poor Tanner pines away for Paisley and the friendship that is so important to him. He doesn’t know how to move on until Kellee walks into his life.

There are so many things that I like about this book. First and foremost is Tanner. I love him in Tag Chaser but, in this book, he jumps right off the pages and into my heart big time. He is everything a girl, and woman, dreams about. He is smart, hot, compassionate, hot, a good son who worships his father and did I mention hot. I really, really like this guy. Tanner’s parents are beautiful characters that I love. It is so refreshing to have a hero's parents so loving and proud of their son. I thoroughly enjoy the time Tanner spends with his family. It is a very loving family scene.

Kellee, like Paisley, is a strong heroine. She compliments Tanner’s character perfectly. I love when the female characters are strong determined women. Kellee has issues (don't we all) but she isn't afraid to stand up for herself. One of the best support characters in the book is Kellee’s grandmother. She made me laugh and I love the way she helps Kellee make good decisions. The scenes with Kellee and her grandmother are a joy to read.

It is an added bonus that we get into both Kellee and Tanner’s head with the chapters alternating between both points of view. It adds so much to the story knowing what each character is feeling and thinking. Their love story is a journey that the reader shares with these two, It isn’t always easy but it is a learning adventure. There are times that are gut wrenching and times that are absolutely loving and everything in between.

I really like the music theme that runs through the book. Music holds a lot of memories for Tanner but those memories are mostly associated with events that he shared with Paisley. Now he is trying to write a new tune that will be Kellee. Finally let me say that I like that that the characters are everyday people. They are people you might run into at work or around the neighborhood. They aren't the unattainable billionaire but a love that everyone of us can find.

Well done Kandi Steiner!

Song Chaser is the second book by Kandi Steiner and follows Tag Chaser. I did not read the first book, but this book easily stood by itself as a stand alone novel. The book was well written and the characters were good. I totally expect to see many more books by her in the future and I look forward to it. The plot was good, and there were a lot of issues that we get to see resolved by the end of the book
Tanner West is the main character in this story: he is a young man going to med school and he loves what he is doing. Tanner also loves music, it is a huge part of his life, and he finds a song for every thing that happens in his life. Tanner is a wonderful man, but sometimes his behavior made me think he just did not get what was going on! It definitely causes some major problems for him. Wil he be able to get his happily ever after> You will have to read the book to find out.

Kellie Brooks is a young woman that has moved to New York City to go to school. She is a funny, beautiful and intelligent woman who does not fall easily to a man's pick up lines. Kellie too has her skeletons in the closet, but she tries to lead a normal life. Kellie works 2 different jobs and although she is going to school to get a degree in business to please her father, her real love is music also. Kellie works in a bar part time and this is where she meets Tanner and she really likes him but is afraid to trust herself. Tanner feels an instant attraction to her, and wants to ask her out but she does not give him a chance to ask her out. They see each other again at a concert and this is when they really connect.

Will Kellie and Tanner have a chance at a happily ever after, and will Tanner finally understand what is wrong with his life-or his "song" as he and Kellie call it? Will Kellie finally understand what is wrong with her approach at life and realize the answer to her song is right in front of her? Read the book - you will not be disappointed. I liked this book and I know that everyone else will as well!!

I give this book 41/2 Stars!! I look forward to the next book by Kandi Steiner!!

Will his chasing lead him to the right girl this time?

When I think of Tanner and think of someone who is funny, cocky, lovable, and giving. He is the best friend you will ever want. But when he tells Paisley, his best friend, he loves her -- she adds one more characteristic to the list: broken. This is a great romance about moving on, being honest, fighting the urge to run and fighting for what you want. There are great comic relief moments with Mee Ma and of course the too hot to handle moments - especially when Tanner signs to Kellee. This is one chase you don't want to miss! And now a bit about the story...

Tanner is almost finished with med school and instead of celebrating his accomplishments, he is either throwing himself into his work or attempting to sleep off the jack and coke from the night before. He has lost Paisley, she didn't love him back, and now he doesn't know what to do. He has moped for a year. Some buddies get him to the bar one night and he sees Kellee - it isn't long before the banter between them leads to their first date. Now the only problem is can they choose happiness? Kellee is afraid she will repeat steps from her past and hurt him and he still isn't over Paisley...

Favorite passages:
- She may be hot, but I honestly want to slam my head into the bar. I could have better conversations with a chalkboard.
- "Nothing good in this life comes without pain, but you'll never figure that out if you can't stick around long enough to see the rainbow that comes after the storm."
- "I can handle the gobbler, you just worry about your cock."

4.5 AMAZING STARS!

I loved this book! It was sweet, sexy, funny, and about learning to move on and trust again. Kellee and Tanner are the perfect couple. Their chemistry is off the charts.

This is Tanner and Kellee's story. Tanner is heart broken. After losing the love of his life to someone else, he needs to move on but finds it hard to do. So he does what he knows... turns to meaningless sex but when he meets Kellee, he thinks he may have found the cure to heal his broken heart. But Kellee is not like most girls. She has her own issues and she doesn't believe Tanner is over Paisley. As Tanner and Kellee grow closer, the only question is if they can be healed and learn to love and trust again.

Will Tanner be able to love again? Will Kellee be able to let Tanner in? Will Tanner be able to prove to Kellee that he is over Paisley? Can Kellee learn to trust Tanner? Can Tanner and Kelle find their HEA?

I loved Tanner. He is smart, pre-med, sexy, and sweet rolled into one. I loved Kellee. She is beautiful, smart, sharp, and doesn't take shit from Tanner, lol. I thought the were perfect together. They had ups and downs but what I loved about it was they acted more mature than what they were- college age. Their chemistry was off the charts and made my kindle sizzle.

This is the second book in a series though each can be read as a standalone though it is recommended to read them in order.

Song Chaser is the second book in Chaser's series. Although this is the second book in the series it can be read as a standalone but I wouldn't recommend it because Tag Chaser was a fantastic read as well and you meet Tanner in the first book and it will help explain his past more. I would give this book a solid 4 stars! I have to say I didn't realize when I read Tag Chaser many moons ago that Tanner would get his own story so when I seen that he did I was pleasantly surprised and eager to read. This is a bitter sweet series for me because Tag Chaser was the first book I read when I started my blogging journey and to see this series go on was awesome to say the least. Kandi added a little special novella called Straight No Chaser it was a cute novella that showed Corbin and Paisley's wedding and a little bachelor party it was a great way to end the series. This whole series I would give 4 stars too!

Tanner and Kellee meet at the bar she works at and they have instant connection, but unfortunately Kellee doesn't do the dating thing and Tanner is in love with another girl. When there connection has them becoming friends can they keep it platonic for the sake of both of their hearts, or will they give into the chemistry that is brewing between them? Of course when everything seems right and its going down a great path past demons will come back to haunt them both but will they survive, and can Tanner finally find a different meaning to the songs he holds dear to his heart?

Go pick up this series now you will not be disappointed! Thanks Kandi for making another great book and I look forward to much more in the future.

OMG! I think love Tanner as much as Corbin, maybe even more!

I had just finished reading Tag Chaser when I started this Song Chaser. So I was going into this still pissed at Tanner and thinking of him as a clingy best friend. As I read Song Chaser Tanner began to grow on me. With all his cheesy pick-up lines he was using on Kelle, all the sweet gestures he made and then most all his life at the hospital and working with children. Seriously, who doesn't love a man good with children?!

My emotions were everywhere. There were pages I felt what Tanner felt but then at the same time was feeling what Kelle felt. I could really relate to alot of Kelle's feelings especially when it came to Paisley. Who wants to get involved with someone who is possibly still head of over heels in love with his best friend? At the same time, Kelle was just what Tanner needed to break out of Paisley's gravitational pull. In my mind, Paisley was the Sun and Tanner the earth. His gravitation pulled him to orbit around Paisley and then Kelle came entered the atmosphere pulling him towards her.

I'm sad I finished the book. I have nothing to read and if Kandi continues the series by doing another book, maybe from Corbin's POV which in turn can create a book about Rachel (yes I have put much thought into this), I'll have to wait a while to read. :(

All in all I LOVED THIS BOOK JUST AS MUCH A TAG CHASER. I know longer hate Tanner, nor do I want to kill him.

If you had any doubts on Song Chaser you need to stop it, get it and read it. :)

Tanner West feels like he lost his one, his best friend. Struggling with coming to terms of his actions and creating a numb balance in his life, he doesn't expect t meet Kellee Brooks. From the moment he met Kellee he knew she was different, she didn't cave to his attempt to pick her up and instead found himself wondering if she maybe his second chance.

Kellee has enough experience in her life to know that she is not relationship material and will probably end up hurting whoever she is with. Tanner is a temptation she is finding difficult to resist, when she agrees she finds that Tanner has not completely let go of the girl he fell in love with. Will Tanner realize he is making a huge mistake before it is too late?

The second in the Chase series. I thought that Tanner was an intriguing character as often in a story like this it is the girl who is reeling from a broken heart. Kellee is a fiery tempered heroine who is honest from the get go about why she is a bad choice. Both of them together is a fantastic chemistry and thrilling story.

4.5 star

The story has laughs, betrayal, and heartbreak. I was pulled right into this story.

This is Kellee and Tanner’s story. Tanner was in love with Paisley. But knows she only thinks of him as a friend. One night at a bar he meets Kellee. They spend time together and are forming a relationship but when Paisley comes into town Tanner treats Kellee like she is not even around. She feels he will always do this and he proves that over and over again. Tanner feels all the songs he loves were about Paisley but now wants to let her go so he can really have Kellee. But is Kellee tired of being the stand-in for Paisley? Or will Tanner be able to prove to Kellee that she is truly the one he wants.

I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

FUN, SEXY, and oh so YUMMY!

Kandi you have done it again!
I seriously couldn't put this book down!I am in love with these two characters, Tanner the notorious ladies man has found his match while Kellee is hot, sweet, and best of all not susceptible to Tanners lines. Kellee is the perfect mix of girl next store with just the right amount of innocents and curiosity. Watching Kellee and Tanner fall for one another reminded me of all the fun dating that dream man is, I found myself skipping ahead because I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen. I have already recommended this to all my friends and co workers.
I can't wait to see what Kandi has for me next!
