I have been working with author and closely following the development of this story. I really loved this book. The characters are very rich and complex and very real. I love the story line and how the plot is developed.
What what you do if you had never been loved in your life? Instead your life was put on a path and you accepted it as the past of least resistance. Do you stay within your safety net or do you leap into the unknown and follow you heart and love.
The story is rich with just the right amount of plot and erotica scenes, along with some spicy kink for added fun.
The two main characters are wonderfully drawn, and very real. They have the strengths and flaws. The story remains true and reveals the strengths as well as the flaws. How the characters grow in strength and work through their weakness to become better people, better lovers, and better their lives.
I have been very lucky to read an early preview and this book will be a great read for anyone.

I read for entertainment, to escape life and experience things I may never realistically do. I love characters that I can relate to and I could certainly relate to Ameila, I think nearly every woman could find some part of themselves in her. It is all too easy to get married, have children and somewhere between being a mommy and a wife forgetting to simply be you.
Now, I do not condone adultery it happens in this book but it is just a book, a story. If that offends you don't read it and then come leave a good author a bad review. *Steps down off of soap box*
On to the good stuff...When Alexander & Amelia meet there is this undeniable chemistry between them that radiates sexual tension from the book and straight on to you, it was palpable. There wasn't a whole lot of development between them meeting for the first time and umm..er...being joined together in sexual escapades ...for the first time. Normally, it isn't the type of thing I love in a book but it worked in this one, possibly because there is so much story between.
As I got to know Amelia better I came to a respect for her, especially her love of cars. I respected the place she got to as a woman who was starved for attention, affection and intimacy. It was easy to place myself in her shoes and see myself making some (not all) of the decisions that she did.
Alexander is your classic billionaire alpha male ( I don't care for those either but it worked here) he knew what it was that Amelia needed and he wanted to be the one who gave it to her. He was hot, broody, closed off but hella sexy.
So now we know who we are working with time for me to stop talking. The book was well written, the story flowed perfectly giving the characters relationship a little time to flourish. It invited us into their minds and hearts and enabled us to feel what they felt. There was even some drama thrown in there for a girl like me who needs the "not so perfect" to happen in these books.
I look forward to reading the next book by Alexandra I as for The Collar of Freedom it is Relentlessbookchic approved.

WOW! 5 Super Shiny Stars, am I glad I got lucky in finding Alexandra Iff!!
I started this book without reading the blurb or knowing much about the story, the title certainly intrigued me and now I can certifiably say I would read anything by this author, this was a Fantastic Debut!
I love stories which contain a HOT Dominate male and Alexander Reeves did not disappoint, he has become a serious Book Boyfriend, move over Christian Grey!!
I got lost in this book from the very first page to the very end, a book that allows me to get so invested, where I feel the story play out right in front of my eyes and nothing else exists around me, is a HUGE 5 Stars for me.
I never like to talk to much about the story in a review as I think everyone takes something different away with them. I will say I was drawn to both Characters in this story Amelia & Alexander, I really connected with Amelia being in a marriage which had lost its spark and where you question if there is more,or is this really it!
Amelia was an extremely likeable character and I loved her inner thoughts and reasoning! Then Boom, Alexander Reeves enters and from there she is sexually charged and challenged as she learns and deals with desires he makes her realise she's been craving! Alexander, what can I say hot, Smexy, powerful, possessive, successful, wealthy, the list could go on, and not to mention her new Boss!
This story doesn't just contain hot steamy kinky sex however Alexandra Iff can sure write it well but it had so much more, the storyline has a great plot,excitement and a little Sass which I loved, it really did keep you guessing and wanting more!
Alexandra's writing was flawless & descriptive, I like to be able to envisage the characters, get attached and imagine those places and I got all of this and more from the story!
We get steamy from the first few pages without having to wait to long and it gets hotter and hotter throughout, I really did love this book and the story really pulled me in, I am left wanting more.
I Highly recommend this read to anyone, 5 Shining Stars!

Wow!!! This book was fantastic, hot, sexy and well worth the read. What the author does in this book is pure genius. I really enjoyed the story line and the characters. I don’t read much erotica books, but this book was pretty good and exciting.
You have Amelia who is bored in her marriage, she has fallen out of love with her husband. Then steps in swoon-worthy sexy Alexander Reeves who wants Amelia. Will Amelia give into desire and be with Alexander? Will Alexander push Amelia to her limits and give her the desire she needs and wants? I don’t want to give any spoilers. This book has a great level of hotness, and if you like heat and excitement and swoon worthy men, this book is definitely for you.
Alexandra is now one of my favorite authors, she made this book very interesting and intriguing. The story line felt very realistic, and true. It had heart. Ladies, hell even men, this book will not disappoint. Pick up your copy today. I give this book 10 stars out of 5 lol.

Ladies and gentlemen, this was not your typical love story. That would be too cliché. This was a story about lust, gluttony, greed, desire, adultery, lies, betrayals, secrets, and passion, and how all those things came together when a man meets a woman whose essence spoke to him. This was more than a story about a dominant and submissive. More than a boss and his subordinate. More than sex. More than love. This was the story of a woman who met her match in the most unlikely place and discovered that her need for him consumed her and turned her world upside down.
Alexander Reeves: He just might be my favorite dominant ever written. The things he did to and for Amelia endeared me to him. He was everything you would imagine a dominant to be. Possessive. Controlling. Sketchy past that shaped him to the man he is now. High libido. Rich. However, I was not expecting him to be very in tuned with his emotions, but he was.
Favorite Line: You are the heart that pumps life through my body. Each beat belongs to you, because it is you. I am you, Amelia. (You may not fall out. How sweet?)
Amelia Jones: I understood her. I got her. Can you imagine meeting a man that you were instantly drawn to? He instantly affected your body like no one you've ever met. What would you do? Probably the same thing Amelia did. I loved that she pushed the envelope in their dominant/submissive relationship. She’s a rebel who couldn't truly conform to the role of a submissive yet she wanted to explore that world anyway.
Favorite Moment: Her driving his Trident Iceni Grand Tourer aka Her Majesty for the first time. Followed by her moment with Honeydew aka his Lamborghini. She loved cars just like I do. Hell, she named her Range Rover Cloud Nine.
My thoughts: I really really really enjoyed this book from beginning to end. What an amazing ride! From the moment Amelia and Alexander met, I was rooting for them. Alexander I. did a wonderful job writing this story. I felt every emotion they felt. When she was angry and sad so was I. When her desires consumed her, I felt that too. This story grabs you and brings you into their world. It’s a must read especially if you are over the cliché love story.
I can’t wait for the sequel in December. 5 stars from me.

An incredible book. I didn't see so many of the things that happen with Alexander and Amelia. I was pleasantly surprised with the story. Fair warming though, this is not for the faint of heart. You have to go in with an open mind.
Amelia Jones is trying to do what is best for her family, living in a monotonous, non loving relationship with her extremely distant husband. Her new boss brings something to life with in her that she didn't expect. Something raw, real, passionate and exquisitely forbidden.
Alexander is a mystery, slowly as a reader, we find tidbits about him. We see the balance of the dominant man he is used to being and the way that he bends for Amelia. Making her unlike any other woman for him.
Things happen... I wont say what... and your heart breaks for Amelia as she discovers the true man she is married to and having to decide between Alexander and her husband.
I seriously enjoyed the writing, the imagery that Alexandra I creates is wonderful as you read this story clearly unfold in your mind. I can not wait for the second part of this story!

He pushes her boundaries, gets her out of her comfort zone, with her reward being a simple pair of words - “Good girl” – that push all the right buttons for her. But finding a new dimension to her sexuality, means that she has to face reality. Before she gets a chance to do it though, the carpet gets swept from beneath her feet.

We were very lucky to receive the arc of this book, we have personally never read any of Alexandra’s work so we were very excite about it, we had heard great things about her books and all her work was top notch ratings.
Amelia Jones is a married women who comes across her new boss Alexander Reeves they have an instant connection something Amelia has never felt with her husband of 10 years.
Alexander shows Amelia how to live again he takes her on a life changing journey he being a Dom and she becomes his submissive but it’s much much deeper than that there connection is soul deep.
Amelia goes through a lot of issues with her then husband Thomas and finds out things she never knew about him that stuns her to the core, she feels sorry for her twin boys Michael and Jason and isn’t sure how to explain things to them at the time. Amelia’s boys are her main priority although we did find she left them a bit to go out with Alexander, but every decision she made was based on her twins and we loved that.
Some may be a bit offend as there is a bit of cheating on your husband and wife in this book but hey it happens every day in reality.
I loved the sex scenes they were hot as hell…..

There were so many twists and turn throughout the book we were stunned we would read a part and then bang you get slammed with something you didn’t see coming it was awesome We love books like that, you think u have it nutted out in ur head and believe me with this book ur surely mistaken.…..

I wasn't sure what this book was going to be like but I was pleasantly surprised. Amelia is a character I could relate to , not 100% but enough to be invested into the story when all the big twists and turns came. She is in a loveless , boring marriage. Her husband focuses on his art/work and does not pay much attention to her , no sex and just very mundane. They have 2 kids that are very well taken care of but have been away all summer , this was meant to help them reconnect as husband and wife but that did not happen. Meanwhile Amelia has a new boss , and if he isn't the most arrogant a$$ ever !! The normal , super hot dominant alpha male. Alexanders wants and desires go way deeper than your average book boyfriend. Very quickly things escalate and although I hate cheating I couldn't put the book down !! Soon enough all things are not what they seem. HOLY CRAP I was not expecting that huge twist or really any of those twists at all !!
I did struggle with her choices after the destruction but I am not in her shoes and I read book to escape reality not to question every move the characters make !! I just felt for her poor kids. I am glad she was able to come into her own and have some fun. There was a ton of drama always surrounding Amelia and Alexander but damn they are like sparks fly , chemistry to the extreme so hot together !! The scenes of sex and at the parties were so descriptive and crazy I was lost in them !! Amelia really explored her sexuality !! Good for her but damn if I don't have some vivid memories swirling around in my head !!
Anytime with Alexander is phenomenal but I have to say the prize goes to Honeydew or the damn BIG QUESTION scene...
Then the little trip right after that....the punches just keep rolling , my mind is fried and I love it !!
But just seeing that little bit of info after the end about learning of Alexanders past and some other juicy goodies WOW I am hooked and cannot wait for more !!

Alexandra I novel titled The Collar of Free-dom. This is the first novel that I read from Alexandra. First I must say to this author you have a gift in grabbing the reader in the beginning of the novel and then keep them guessing! Alexandra has great writing ability and knows how to connect the characters to the reader. Without being emotionally invested it is hard for me to love the book even if the sex scenes are amazing! She had me wanting more and more. I love that this book is realistic; I can see being in Ame-lia’s situation and what to do with this hot man. I enjoyed this story from start to finish. I want to say to Alexandra keep writing stories you have me sprung! I will recommend this book to others! I give this book 5 out 5 Stars

Alexandra I novel titled The Collar of Free-dom. This is the first novel that I read from Alexandra. First I must say to this author you have a gift in grabbing the reader in the beginning of the novel and then keep them guessing! Alexandra has great writing ability and knows how to connect the characters to the reader. Without being emotionally invested it is hard for me to love the book even if the sex scenes are amazing! She had me wanting more and more. I love that this book is realistic; I can see being in Ame-lia’s situation and what to do with this hot man. I enjoyed this story from start to finish. I want to say to Alexandra keep writing stories you have me sprung! I will recommend this book to others! I give this book 5 out 5 Stars

Great read if....you enjoy romance novels, hot sex scenes, submission stories, alpha males, billionaires, CEOs, plot twists, hard situations, falling in love, falling out of love, complicated moments, series, and an HEA!
Side Note: I wanna start by saying there were some really great lines in this book. I mean super hot! There were also some amazing sex scenes that just put a girl in a really good place, lol. However, at times it felt like I was rereading certain books that I had already read. I mean scenes and situations, yes I get have to be repeated and can only be spun a certain way so many times, but it felt very copy cat like to some books I hold near and dear to me, and it hurt my feelings. Maybe this was just me. I did absolutely love Alexander's realization that at certain points HE was the one being submissive. While the book wraps up there are a bunch of unanswered question for the sequel. So be on the look out for December!

This first book in The Collar Duet had me hooked from the start. I immediately liked Amelia, but her husband Thomas, not so much. He seemed just a little on the creepy side to me. More to him than meets the eye perhaps!
When Amelia meets her new boss Alexander Reeves, the sparks are apparent from their first glance. As Amelia was a married woman the 'affair' between the two seemed so wrong, but at the same time so right. It was more than just a few sleazy meets, the love shone through them both. The dominance Alexander showed and the submissiveness (though often denied) of Amelia was sizzling and the sex scenes hot as hell.
Just when things seemed to go smoothly for the pair, the plot twists and turns leaving you holding your breath.
But these two were meant to be together, so a nice smooth ending right? Oh no, not at all. Bam! What? Are you kidding? More questions need answers - oh wow!

I don't know where to start with this review, I'm still recovering from a serious book hangover. Until now, Christian, Gideon, Gabriel and Hudson were my book boyfriends but now it's time for them to move over and make way for Mr Reeves.
The story gripped me from chapter 1 and when I got to the end of chapter 29, I wanted to start at chapter 1 again as I didn't want my journey with these characters to end.
Amelia was such a lovable character and I found myself relating to some aspects of her life. I was immediately drawn in by the chemistry between Amelia and Alexander from the start and I felt like I was taking a journey of discovery with her.
Drama, passion, sensuality, hot and kinky sex, this book has it all and I wish I could give it more stars, 5 isn't enough.

let first start off by saying that this is the first book that I've read by Alexandra.
I'm part of several book clubs groups facebook get together whatever you want to call them.... I've seen several differnt people rave abuot this book. (Putting it on my mental list of what to read next.)
A couple weeks ago I "met" her on Facebook at one of the many book parties I attend. She is a very cool and down to earth person. Talking for awhile I've decided to bump her book up on my TBR list for my next book to read. I am VERY happy I did. The story had just enough drama, sexual escapades, dirrty talk and kink to it, This is the by far the kinkiest book I have EVER read. She wrote with such grace and shazam that it will knock your socks off,... I can't wait for the next installment.

Loved this book! Amelia is merely existing in her loveless marriage, going one day to the next. But in walks her new boss, causing fireworks, and making Amelia really think about her lacklustre marriage.
The characters are well written, and have depth and complexity. The storyline is good, and you are left wanting to know more at the end of the book. Alexandra I writes hot and steamy scenes well - there's plenty of heat and chemistry between Amelia and Alexander.

There is nothing more to say other than I personally loved this book. I related to it in more ways than one. Alexander and Amelia will definitely be a couple that I will never forget. Thank you, Alexandra, perfect timing in my life. I needed this book!

Alexandra I is an auto-buy author for me because she knows how to tell a fantastic story with dimensional and relatable characters who draw you in, tug at your heart, and leave you wanting more. Amelia was very easy to relate to and that is important in a book! The Collar of Freedom, the first in a new series by this accomplished author was no different. As anxious as I was to see how she would fair outside of her norm, I was not in the least disappointed. I laughed, I hurt, I rejoiced, I panted, and I yelled because the author has the ability to make you feel exactly what the characters are going through as though you are IN the story. I did not want to put this book down once I started. I loved this book on so many levels and I hope there will be plenty more to the series. There certainly are enough supporting characters to keep it going.

This book is something else. And honestly, it deals with a topic that is a hard limit for me. However, the way it is written I was able to accept Amelia's decisions and even agree with them.
While I was reading this novel the trailer for Fifty came out. I am going to tell you if you liked the elevator kiss in that trailer this has an elevator scene that will make you blush.
The author'a writing style is strong. As the book progressed, I loved seeing Alexander's gentler side. He is a strong alpha male with faults making this book all the more readable. I look forward to the continuation of their story.

Nothing is what it seems! Being married doesn't always mean that there is happiness within. It is true when they say you always want what you can't have. Amelia is "happily" married or so she thought with 2 wonderful twin boys and she is content with the life she has with her husband, that is until Alexander awakens the women inside of her she didn't know was hidden.
I absolutely LOVED this book, Alexandra rips every emotion out of you and the steam level is through the roof.
Just when you thought the plot twists were over she throws another at you full forced and knocks you off your feet and has you reeling.
I can not wait for the second book of this series. ABSOLUETLY a must read.

Amelia has been the supportive wife and mother for 10 years. In this marriage Amelia discovers "I am alone, but really can I be more lonely than I already am." It's a sad realization. She wonders-- is this all there is to my life? I guess I'm happy - I don't know anything else.

Alexandra I love your books! The Collar of Freedom hits close to home for me. This book is absolutely awesome! The more I read Alexandra's books the more I love her! She is my new favorite female author!. I love the way this book has twists and surprising turns. And Alexander Reeves WOW! It keeps you glued to the pages seeing what happens next! I can't wait for the second book! I am jumping up and down impatiently waiting ! :) Thank you for another 5-Star read Alexandra! I will read anything you do!

This is a love story. When I looked at the cover I thought it would be another dom/sub story but it's far from that. Don't get me wrong there is some dom/sub parts in it but it more than that, it's a great love story where Ameila finds herself and the great love that she deserves. A must read. It is book one of two but there's not a big cliff hanger. Hopefully the next book tells us more about Ameila, Thomas and Alexander.

Wow, what a ride! The beginning of this book is full of hot, steamy sex and just when I was beginning to wonder if there was more than that, it goes from zero to sixty like a Lamborghini.
The hot steamy sex continues but there's also a lot of interesting twists to the story, told from the POV of Amelia, who really, really, really, loves cars. I mean, she's REALLY into cars. So much that, well, read the book and find out for yourself.

LOVE!!
I had my ups and downs with this book. It took me a little bit to get with the story and there were many places that I considered stopping in the first few chapters but once I got with the story, I loved it. I was not a fan of Alexander at first but once he started opening up, he was great. I felt for Amelia being in such an awful marriage but gave her so much credit for thinking of her children above all else. ]

Yes I like my erotic tales but I love a good story to go with it and this book delivers both,the story line flowed keeping me interested in where it was heading and I enjoyed the way the characters were written,I will definitely recommend this book to friends and can't wait to read more from this author.

I was surprised at how Alexander Reeves who oozes sex appeal becomes swoon worthy. He's hot as hell and sexually he is a god.
I also wondered when I first saw the title how a collar can make you feel free. Well I get it, even though Alexander put a collar on Amelia, she's was more free with him in every way than she ever was with Thomas.
