Having already broken rule number one of Clara Delvine’s rules, Joely Gilbert knows she is past the point of no return. After defying all of the orders Delvine lives by, Joely believes becoming the first runaway Viper Girl is all too good to be true.
However, remaining uncaught for months, Joely gives into the life she’s been searching for – the man she wants, the house she dreamt of, the love she cherishes.
But how long can you outrun the devil when she’s after blood?
After all, Delvine never loses a girl, and she’ll do anything to make sure she has Joely back to finish her contractual obligations.
What happens when Joely’s left with the biggest decision of her life, the decision that was always hers to make – kill her heart or kill the man she loves.
Clara will make sure Joely never strays from The Viper Rooms – ever again.
Kirsty-Anne Still is the writer of angsty and dark (and sometimes both) romance. She got lost in writing during her last years of school and eventually got pulled into the publishing industry during university, forfeiting her idea of being a teacher for writing, and eventually designing.
Kirsty is an author and book cover designer from England who will probably make one too many sarcastic comments in her life, preaches positive affirmations a lot, and believes it’s a bad day rather than a bad life.
This is the 2nd book in the “Viper” series by Kirsty-Anne Still. It picks up immediately after the first book ended and boy, does it ever start off with a bang! A quick one two punch to the reader and we are thrown right back into the dark world of Clara Delvine and her Viper Girls. If you thought that the series was over when Jace rescued Joely from her contract as one of Clara’s girls - well, you’re just like me and we are both wrong. Joely fleeing from her life at the club was just the beginning…
When we catch up with Joely and Jace again, we learn that they have spent the last seven months on the run - in an almost hazy state of bliss as they hop from one country to the next. Joely has never been happier - she has her freedom back, and the man she loves at her side. Jace kept his promises to her - he freed her from that life and he was steadily working on bringing her back to the girl she once was. Unfortunately, their peaceful time together isn’t meant to last, the danger that they are running from is always looming over them - a dark and sinister
I love the way that Joely and Jace’s relationship has progressed. Kirsty-Anne does a beautiful job with Joely’s character - we see her transform in many different ways over the span of these two books. Specifically in The Runaway Viper, she is put to the test in unthinkable ways by the unimaginable bitch Clara, however she is able to hold on to her strength and push through the worst of it. The love and protection that Jace always showed her is what she uses to surround herself with - she doesn’t break and that drives Clara almost to the point of madness.
I had an idea of how I thought the book was going to end all the way through it, I thought I was so smart to figure it out..was I right? Nope! Kirsty-Anne throws a curveball at us that I sure as hell didn’t see coming. It frustrated me and made me so angry, but it was oh so deliciously good at the same time. This is one of those books that gets your insides twisted up, that has you investing all of your emotions into the storyline and characters right up until the very last word.
Jace is such a strong male lead - he loves Joely with every fiber of his being and he will do anything to protect her and fight the darkness that threatens them. A lesser man may have run for the hills when the shit hit the fan, but his heart and feelings are true and he made me swoon in more ways than one with how fiercely he stuck by her.
This book ends with such an impending feeling of doom! I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for the next one...think you can tame a Runaway Viper? Pick up a copy and dance with the devils to find out ;)
After reading Saturdays At The Viper Rooms I didn't expect this for book two!
The Runaway Viper....
If you've read book one, then you'll know how I feel with this review...
WOW-WA-WEE-WAA.
We really learn the amount of love shared between Jace & Joely. The love is thick, strong. Strong enough for Joely to leave the viper rooms and Clara Delvine behind and live in fear... But loves bubble is burst by a certain witch and her wicked ways...
Clara's character is shown in her full dramatic sinister ways. I can't explain how amazingly well written it is. I've always loved Kirsty's work. The way her words twist and play on your mind causing you to think about the story all day. I finished this in a few days, after putting it off for far too long, selfishly. I'm so glad Kirsty let me beta this, because it really was such an amazing read. Clara is one of my favourite characters. I won't lie. I can't help it, her evil ways make her likeable, yet she's still an evil sinister bitch. But hey, she's a viper. The twists and turns in this book had me on the edge of my seat. I just wanted the love to blossom through that we witness in the beginning of the book...
It's a perfect middle book to this series!
I loved it. I love the drama. The suspense. The evilness. The love.
It's beautiful train ride, and I can't wait for the next instalment!
I am never surprised by Kirsty's writing skills or her ability to suck you into her world!!
I fell in love with The Viper Rooms from the very first pages of book one so I was very, very eager to read the next installment The Runaway Viper.
Joely and Jace's epic love story had me from the first pages. you are immediately drawn in to the story from the beginning. The emotions of being on the run with the man you love, being hunted by absolute pure evil that is the lively Clara is just amazing.
I read this in hours as I was so completely unable to out the book down, not even for a second. The more I read the more I wanted to know so I quite simply devoured each page.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance, with a hint of sexy, a twist of darkness and a whole lot of nail biting. Kirsty will not let you down!!
I'm going to desperatley try not to give away any spoilers, because there's so many twists and turns in this amazing book. The introduction to the series: 'Saturdays at the Viper Rooms' set up a fairytale 'Happy Ever After' for Joely and Jace, but 'The Runaway Viper' shows us that Happy ever after can easily be snatched away, and everything you've lived for can be gone in a single choice. This second instalment is a dark, fast paced, action packed thriller than will have you gasping at every unexpected act of cruelty and the outstanding, heart wrenching depictions of true love withstanding anything. It also has one of the most sadistic and evil villans I've read about in a long time, in the form of Clara Delvine. Trust me, you'll love to hate her! This book is a page-turner that you won't be able to put down. I loved it!
Kirsty has outdone herself once again! I absolutely loved the second book in the Viper series!
Joely and Jace are back. Joely, is now the Runaway Viper, but for how long? How long can they evade the Vipers clutch?
Kirsty captures the all of the emotions of being scared for your life, beingbthe happiest you have been in a long time and your heart being ripped apart piece by piece all rolled into one.
Joely faces having to make the decision no-one should ever have to make; choose to have the man you love killed or kill your own heart?
This book is an emotional roller coaster that you won't want to get off! You will laugh, cry and be angry (hell you may even throw things in frustration).
Kirsty did not disappoint with this. I look forward to book three.
Jace and Joely are on the run from The Vipers Room and the evil clutches of Clara Delvine. Their love for each other is stronger than ever. After some time Joely has to return to the Viper rooms in return for Jaces life. Joely has lots to endure with some nasty clients and the evil Clara making her life hell again. Clara's out for Joely's blood for what she's done. Again full of action, angst and lots and lots of loving. At one stage I didn't want to turn the page for fear of what was coming next for Joely and Jace. A great twist at the end and not a nasty cliffy as anticipated, although still looking forward to book 3 late 2014.
4.5 out 5 Wickedly Hot, Devastating, Living on the Edge, Runaway Stars!

Holy Mother of all mayhem! I was a hot-ass-edgy-mess during this read. We were all left grasping and clawing onto the ledge of the that last cliff hanger from Saturdays at the Viper Rooms, so I know I wasn't alone. You just knew that their disillusioned sense of peace would never truly stick. Clara, the Viper bitch from the wicked West, was no doubt standing in the shadows waiting for her perfect time to bite. During the first part of the book, I was literally on the edge, my Kindle was prepped for the impending drop (or throw across the room), and I was anxiously awaiting for Joely and Jace's faux fantasy HEA to inevitably come to an abrupt halt. No one was aloud to talk to me during this time...or face the wrath of my annoyed shushing.
"My eyes are watering as I hear the conviction laced upon every note in his tone. How can a man love me so fiercely that he will fight with every fiber of his being to make sure I am never lost from his life? What did I do to deserve a love with such ferocity it burns in every piece of his being? And how do I ever prove that I love him so wholeheartedly back that I would walk to the ends of the earth to make sure he was never hurt or worse?"
We were left off with Joely kidnapped by Jace...well is it really kidnapping if you willingly go with the love of your life? They bounce around from country to country, trying to stay off of Clara's radar. After months on the run, they have finally decided to settle down and start some roots. *Cue impending doom* Joely is not so convinced of their safety. She constantly struggles with deep seeded feelings of guilt for forcing Jace into this life on the run and risking his safety in general. Jace tries to reassure her every chance he gets, but eventually the gig is up and they are found. Clara uses the biggest weakness that Joely has to get her runaway Viper back into her evil clutches...Jace.
"Jace saved me before, and now it's my turn - I won't be giving up easily."
I don't want to give away too much of the storyline, because I am firmly trying to stay spoiler free here. I am fighting the urge to ramble on and on. Well, I think we all could have guessed that Joely would be forced back into the Viper Rooms. However, the club that she steps back into is not the same. Clara is unforgiving, vengeful, and has taken her angry wrath out on the other girls, changing the club into something much darker than before. If you hated Clara before, you will thoroughly despise her in this book! I wanted to throw her into that damn pit and never let her ass out.
"They merge together to protect me as I enter The Viper Rooms, and I'm cast back to my first days here. All attention on the unknown girl, but this time I'm not new. This time I'm the fallen girl."
"And there it is. The voice of the viper. Clara Delvine stands before me, authoritatively beautiful, ethereal at most. She's standing with such confidence that I resent my body for bursting out into a cold sweat."
I know what you're thinking? How in the bloody hell is Joely going to get out of this horrible situation again. One escape was rare enough, two would be a miracle from the high heavens. Joely is at the very bottom of the viper chain and her spirit is continuously tested. Jace continues to fight from the outside for his viper girl, but this time he has some much needed allies. Can he pull it off? If he is successful, will it be in time to save what is left of his broken Joely? Can Joely pick herself up and actually be able to leave the girls and Eli behind, knowing that Clara will only take it out on them again. Will Clara truly let Joely go with no eventual revenge to seek out? Who will be scarified, broken, betrayed? Ahh...the wildness and pure unadultered juiciness of this story will keep you uncomfortably fidgety, but firmly planted in your seat.
"I don't have to obey her every whim. I will stare her down and disobey. This is not like it was before. This is like the beginning of a rebellion, and I want to see Clara Delivine try and stop the anarchy."
I was beyond thrilled with the continuation of this story. My only downfall was knowing there is a third book, which means we would eventually once again be left dangling at the end of this one. Have no fear, that should not deter you, because the story is amazing and so very worth the wait for the next book. The characters are still deep and easy to connect with. Jace once again turned me into a puddle of swoony goo with all his unrelenting determination and absolute raw sexiness. Kirsty-Anne did a great job of laying on the false sense of security at the beginning, only to slap you with the harsh reality of Clara's evil scorn. There are so many twists, turns, and dark grittiness that it will surely leave you dazed, confused, and emotionally drained. I've been successfully left desperate for the third book and have been practicing my evil sinister laugh for the upcoming hopeful demise of Clara Delvine! *bwaaahhh...haaa...haaaaaa* I would definitely recommend this book and series to my fellow book junkies out there. Get one-clickin everyone!
5 Stars|Amazon|Goodreads Meg's Review: As with the first, Kirsty did not dissappoint. This novel is fantastic.
Jace and Joely are running. They are trying to escape Clara and the Viper Rooms. They have a love that is true and strong, but will it be enough? Can they even escape?
Can Anyone?
The Viper Rooms never let anyone go. Joely is set to be the perfect example of that. Clara isn't one to let things go lightly and she is primed to use Joely to teach everyone what happens when you break the rules.
Every fairytale has its evil and Clara is that Evil. This second novel shows how evil she can really be. We are on a roller coaster of crazy, fast paced crazy that leaves you mouth agape at some points and on your toes the next.
I love a novel that leaves you cut and dry about the good and the bad in it, and this villain is exactly that, cut and dry. When she pulls Joely back into her clutches it is cringe worthy.
Of course we aren't at the end yet, and even with a Not-So-Cliffy ending, we are still left wanting more. As ever with a KAS book, it is a real page turner that you won't be able to put down. A Must Read. Synopsis: Book two in The Viper Series
Having already broken rule number of Clara Delvine’s rules by falling in love with one of her clients, Joely Gilbert knows she is past the point of no return. After defying all of the orders Delvine lives by, Joely believes becoming the first runaway Viper Girl is all too good to be true.
However, remaining uncaught for months, Jace Mason gives Joely the life she’s been searching for – the man she wants, the house she dreamt of, the love she cherishes.
This book was everything! I absolutely loved it. Great writing. Great story. Great follow-up to Saturdays at The Viper Room.
This book picks up right after Saturdays at the Viper Room. Jace has rescued Joely and the Bonnie and Clyde couple were living on the run. They bounced around the world always trying to stay one step ahead of the Devil herself, Clara Delvine. And when Clara found them, you weren't too shocked because you knew it had to happen. Life wouldn't be that easy for them, but what Clara had in store for the lovely couple was shocking. The evil Clara and her horrific henchmen, Sam and Shads, were back at it. Kidnapping. The Pit. Beatings. Unwanted clients. Threats. You name it. Clearly, Clara was upset that her protégé ran away and life at The Viper Room took a turn for the worse. Oh, and did I mention that Joely was no longer the head viper. Someone else took that spot. Someone eager for the spotlight and #1 position. Joely aka the Runaway Viper was now the outcast. Relying on her friends Eli and Brianna and the love of her life, Joely had to fight to remain strong while under the watchful eye of Clara. Like I said, this book was everything, and I cannot wait for The Viper's Bite, the next book in this series, to come out.
P.S. I really loved Jace. I applaud him for loving a Viper Girl. I just couldn't imagine loving a prostitute. Her past wasn't pretty, but he loved her in spite of it all. He went through a lot for his love including going to war with Clara just to release Joely from her contract. But like they say, true love is worth the fight, it's the worth sacrifice.
How selfless of him. How romantic.....
I also loved all the sacrifices Joely made to keep Jace safe. She was prepared to give up everything that mattered to her just for his life.
P.S.S. Clara was one mean lady and tried her hardest to break The Runaway Viper. I cannot wait to see the end of her. She needs something horrible to happen to her in the book and deserves whatever comeuppance she gets. Seeing her nervous and shocked at the end of the book was priceless. One of my favorite parts!!
I gave this book 5 stars and recommend that you read it. You can buy this book on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo, but first, you should read Saturdays at The Viper Room.
P.S.S.S. This book was given to me by the author in exchange for an honest review.
After escaping the Queen Viper’s hold during one of The Viper Rooms grand party, Joely and Jace manage to start a life together on the run. Moving from place to place, never stopping in one city or country for too long. Their peace seems to be a godsend, and the couple take advantage of the calm. But just when everything seems to be going smoothly, Clara strikes and rips Joely & Jace’s world to shreds.
Back in Clara’s grasp, Joely has to do one thing… survive. I love the way we’re led into this second installment of the Viper series. After the stressful and dangerous game Jace & Joely play with Clara in the first book, it’s hard to see any type of future for those two. Yet, the start of The Runaway Viper fills the reader with a sense of hope for them. They’re given a moment to breathe, relax, and not have to constantly be looking over their shoulder. But don’t think they’re off the devil’s radar just yet! There's still that underlying fear and resistance to completely succumb to bliss, because Clara is still out there. Hunting and plotting.
I could feel every emotion Joely was going through. I was just as anxious to find out what was going on with the club. I empathized with her when Clara stole her love away. A lot of emotions stir up from this book, and a lot of that emotion is raw and painful to read through. You can’t help but feel those tragic moments that J&J spend apart as much as the beautiful seconds they spend together. Every word they speak about each other goes right to the heart.
There was a good amount of time where Joely got reacquainted with the pit and I’m convinced it drove her a bit mad. Things that she said and her reactions weren’t sensible or beneficial. One scene in particular had me bug-eyed in shock and confused at her feelings toward the situation. I just had issues with the way she acted at times. With the treatment she was being given, who could blame her for going a little bonkers.
Overall I really liked the pacing of the novel, though it did seem to drag on a bit in the middle, that just adds to the empathy the reader feels for Joely. There were fast paced moments and then some calm ones. The end left me with a sense of fear. For Clara that is! Jace and co. have something up their sleeves and they’re not even close to being finished with the Viper Queen. I’m eagerly anticipating the final showdown for these characters in the third book, The Viper’s Bite.
*A complimentary copy of this book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.
This review must be short and sweet because there are so many ways I can give out spoilers that I am not sure how to avoid it. I will say this is a series and I read both books back to back and am glad I did. There is a third book coming but it doesn't bother me that I read before it was out.
In The Viper Rooms, Kirsty-Anne Still has created a high dollar "gentleman's club" with some of the most gorgeous girls around. Our evil, evil madam of the story, Clara Delvine is a nasty creature. Her entire reasoning for creating the Viper Rooms is based upon others living the pain she did.
To become a Viper Girl, you must sign a contract to live the next 6 years in almost her servitude. There are 6 rules every Viper Girl must live by and if she does, she is rewarded with lots of money, a home, clothes and more. But Joely Gilbert, one of two head Viper Girls, does the unthinkable, she falls in love with a client.
Joely accepted this life based upon the guilt she felt and the lack of options she had when she runs away. In "Saturdays At The Viper Room," we get the love story of Jace Mason and Joely Gilbert. There is the suspense of being caught and the punishment Clara will dish out once it happens.
In her follow-up story, "The Runaway Viper," Jace has helped Joely escape, promising her to always protect her and to love her no matter. Spending a significant time on the run, the question becomes will they every truly be safe from Clara. Can they find the one place she won't be able to locate them?
Joely and Jace's love is strong, the chemistry amazing but this is no match for Clara. "The Runaway Viper" is a fast-paced romance with a touch of suspense, packaged into a must read thriller. You never know which way Clara is going to go and her cold-heartedness makes for some seriously evil scenes. However, the connection between Jace and Joely is not easily broken so each one is constantly fighting to get to the other.
The supporting characters were an amazing addition to this story as well. Eli, Brianna, Josh and even our villains in training helped shape the decisions, consequences and life of Jace and Joely.
If you are looking for romance with a dramatic storyline, The Viper Series is a definite must read!

“You’ve become this beautifully strong woman from a weak manipulated object. You’re exactly like a phoenix.”
Jace and Joely spent months on the run after her escape from the claws of Clara Delvine. Clara doesn’t like to lose and loosing Joely made her out to seek revenge. Clara would do anything and everything to get her head Viper Girl back. I found her to be deceiving, manipulative and downright cold. She didn’t care who he hurt in the process. She hated that Jace took Joely from her. Jace’s sole purpose in life was to protect Joely from Clara.
Joely had a happy life with Jace even when they were on the run but they still kept looking over their shoulders. They both never knew when Clara or her men were going to attack. After being on the run Clara finally caught up with them and Joely had to return to the Viper Room. When she went back that is when she noticed all of the changes. It wasn’t for the good of the girls. Clara did it to make a point. You cannot leave the Viper Room.
Jace always tried to be one step ahead of Clara but it seemed like she was always two steps ahead of them. Joely crushed his heart when she went back to the Viper Room. That was the only way she knew how to protect him. Clara would do anything in her power to destroy Jace. Jace was a smart man. He always had help and a master plan. He had been beaten and that still never stopped him. Joely became a shell of her former self. She lost that passion and fire that she once had. She was letting Clara get to her. Joely was once the head Viper Girl and all the men in the club wanted her. She used to have all of the clients and now she was considered “The Dog”. She had been degraded and humiliated in front of everyone.
Clara’s days are numbered and when the day finally comes nobody will know its coming. Jace pulls no punches to get the women he loves back from the clutches of the devil.
Will Jace and Joely get ever get their freedom? I guess we will have to find out in The Viper’s Bite, the last book in the series. That title alone makes me interested. Happy reading and I hope you enjoy The Runaway Viper.
Reviewed by: Akeisha I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This is the second book in the Viper Series by Kirsty- Anne Still.
The Runaway Viper starts off right after Saturday at the Viper Rooms. Joely and Jace are on the run and for the time being enjoying life away from the Viper Rooms. They never stayed in one place for too long in hopes to put Clara off her hunt for her head Viper girl. They soon found out that Clara was always one step ahead of them.
I felt that the beginning of this book was a little slow for my liking. I understand the story was to help have an insight into the lives of Joely and Jace after they ran away however I found the tale of their life medicore. I kept pushing through because I knew how much I loved the first book plus I wanted to see who would put a kick to Clara's behind.
In this book, we see the downfall of the once highly sort after head viper girl. The things that Joely endured all in the name of love was unbelievable. Joely was broken and fighting to keep her spirit alive as Clara literally puts Joely and Jace through hell. Broken? Maybe! Did she give up? You will have to read The Runaway Viper to find out.
Let me say when the action started the pages started to burn up. The heart wrenching events, the love that Joely and Jace shared was felt through the pages. I honestly could not stop reading once I got sucked into the story.
Kirsty-Anne does a great job in creating characters that are loveable, caring and very good support systems for the main characters. I've always love this storyline because of it's unique subject. I sit here waiting patiently for the day when Clara falls from her throne(I dislike this woman greatly). The Runaway Viper was also filled with some twist and turns that had me saying out loud ”WTF”. Despite everything that Joely went through I loved that she was still kind to others. I always want more Jace. I just want them to have their happily ever after and hopefully the author will hear my cry lol.
Read The Runaway Viper to see some relationship mended, hearts broken, vindictive females and a couple that goes through hell and back all in the name of love.
Kirsty has another excellent book here. The Runaway Viper. It has suspence, sex and pure love. You must read Saturdays at the Viper Rooms before you read this book!! Joley has broken the main rule for Clara Delvines Viper Girls. She fell in love with a customer. And by doing that is extreme punishment. Clara being the bitch she is is very strict with her rules and if you break them you pay in one way or the other. Jace and Joley found the perfect plan to get away from Clara so they thought. Clara knows every move they make, but do they know this? Joley knows how Clara is and is always looking before she makes her next move. But as for Jace he doesnt know how devious Clara is and the lengths she will go to keep her Viper girls. They are under contract and no one breaks this contract. Jace and Joley have a love that is stronger than Clara's contract and will do anything to escape this. Jace and Joley have been on the run for several months living free and moving from place to place to keep out of the loop so Clara doesnt find them. Jace's loves Joley so much he is willing to give up anything to have a life for her. Joley's love for Jace is so strong she will endure anything to keep him safe and away from Clara. Joley has become a strong women after her past working as a Viper girl. Jace's love has taught her how to enjoy life and thats theres more to life than being a Viper girl. Joley loved the plans Jace made for them all the way to binding their love for one another....till the day when they thought they were safe from the clutches of Clara. Will Joley stay safe or will Clara find her and Jace? Is Joleys and Jaces love strong enough to hold til she is free from the contract of Clara or does Jace have another ace up his sleeve? You will love this story. Love can conquer all sometimes but sometimes you gotta stand up to your demon and face it in the face and take the heat to get what you desire..Your one and only love. I give this 5 stars. After reading Saturdays at the Viper Rooms I couldnt wait til The Runaway Viper came out. It was worth the wait!
This book begins right after the last book ended. Jace has kidnapped Jolie and they are on the run from Clara. They haven’t stayed in anyone place too long in hopes that they can lose her. But they can only run for so long. Once they are able to get married and believe they can start roots to begin life after the Viper Rooms, their world blows up literally. Utter mayhem breaks loose and they have to make quick decisions as to what they will do next and how they can out run and outsmart Clara. Throughout this book, Jace, Eli, Jake (Jace’s older brother) and Josh are great support for Joley. Needless to say she is lucky to have them in her corner, along with Brianna coming back into her life and her family. In this book we see a much stronger Joley that has faced the worst and his doing her best to come out the other side still in one piece. Jace continues to be the ROCK for Joley and is determined that no matter what they will have their happily ever after. This book is a 5 Star ++++. I couldn’t believe the amount of drama and action that occurs. Kristy-Anne keeps you guessing as to what direction is going to be up next throughout the book. The things that occur for Jace and Joley at the hands of Clara are unimaginable, but make the story so much more intense. The love between Jace and Joley is undeniable. There were many times throughout the book that frustrated me because it seemed Joley was just walking right into the hands of the Devil, but then again there never seemed to be another way around to keep her, Jace and their friends/family safe. I loved this book, this series is AMAZING. I can’t wait to see what is going to happen next for Jace, Joley and all of their friends and family in the third book. The cliffhanger at the end of this book is a real shocker and I can’t even begin to guess what Kristy-Anne has in store for us next. I can guarantee I will be reading book #3 just as soon as it is available….
This is the second book in the Viper series. You really should read the excellent first book, Saturdays at the Viper Rooms, before you read this one. Otherwise you won't have any idea what's going on.
Runaway Viper picks up a few short weeks after the end of Saturdays. The first half of the book is all about Joely and Jace hiding from Clara, never staying in one place too long. Clara Delvine, evil owner of the Viper Rooms, is after them, and she has a very long reach. Clara does not take failure well, and Joely is the only Viper Girl to have escaped her clutches. She is determined to have her back.
However, they cannot stay hidden from Clara forever. Just when it looks like they can relax and enjoy their life together, of course it all comes crashing down. Ultimately the Devil always gets it's due. And soon they both find themselves back in her clutches. Clara is now out to teach them each a very painful lesson.
The book has plenty of hot sexy time between Joely and Jace, especially the first half, but the second half is more about the story than the sex, which is just fine with me. I love a good sex scene as much as anyone, but I also want a intriguing story to go along with it. And if there is anything Kirsty-Anne is good at, it's creating an intriguing story.
I love all of the secondary characters as well, especially Eli, Jake, and Brianna. We finally get to meet Joely's family as well. They are determined to stick by their daughter/sister this time, and are not to lose her again.
The Viper Series is a wonderful series and I cannot wait for the final book, The Viper's Bite, to wrap it all up in a nice sexy red bow.

I knew going into this book after having read Saturdays at the Viper Rooms that there were going to be lost of plot twists and turns, plenty of drama and some red hot sexiness and this book had it all in spades. I finished this book feeling like I had been pulled through the ringer. I was emotionally drained. And if that wasn’t enough, the author threw in a nice little plot twist at the end- MIND BLOWN!
So this book begins right where the first book leaves off. Joely and Jace are madly in love and on the run from Clara. Joely has finally found everything she ever wanted. But Clara is a big bad B and refuses to lose one of her Viper girls. Joely and Jace must fight in order to stay together. That is just a brief overview of the plot. There is so much more. This book is a whirlwind of emotion, love, sex, pain, romance, and angst. Kirsty Ann truly raised the bar with this book. The plot is outstanding, perfectly paced, intense, addictive and engaging. The writing had me absorbed right from the start. I love how you can actually see Joely and Jace ‘s characters grow as the book progresses. You can see their love but also their pain and doubts. Joely grows stronger throughout this book. The longer she is away from Clara, the more she becomes the woman she should be. And Jace..I love this man. He is so sexy, funny, protective and in love with Joely. He would do anything for her.
This series is a must read. It is absolutely fantastic. I can’t wait for the next book to see how the author concludes this series.
A gifted copy was provided by the author for an honest review.
This is a really well thought out book, and everyone should read book one: Saturdays at the Viper Rooms to get the full effect of not only our heroine and hero's love, but their struggles to get to the place where this book starts.
Getting out of The Viper Club was half the battle. Now it's all about staying undetected that's got Joely and her love Jace travelling around the world and lying low for a while. But Joely's satanical boss, Clara, isn't about to give up one of her most profitable Viper Girls. Not by a long shot. But if it's a war Clara wants, then it's a war Joely and Jace are willing to fight.
Overall, I thought this book rocked! What a concept. I love the lengths these two go to be together when Joely has basically sold her soul to the devil. In normal circumstances you can't do anything about it, but Jace loves her enough to go to the end of the Earth to get his woman free. I'm giving this book 4.5 STARS out of 5 STARS

I loved this authors first book and following the bombshell of an ending I couldn't wait for book 2. I was not disappointed!
This book continues the story of Jace and Joely immediately after the end of book 1. Their story is finally starting properly, with them happy and together, seemingly free from Clara Delvine's clutches. But for how long? Anyone who has read book 1 knows that Clara is not a lady who easily lets people to.
For at least the first part of this book we find a totally different Joely. She has started to relax more, yet always at the back of her mind is the 'what if' scenario. What if Clara finds them? What if she does something to punish Jace? What if her new life is cruelly snatched away from her again?
If you want to know the answers to these what ifs you need to read this story. You will not be disappointed in any way.
The author has produced something equally as good as her first book, if not better. The twists and turns within its pages are ones I could not have foreseen at all. I cannot wait to see how she finishes this story in book 3.
Kristy has outdone herself with this book. You need to read Saturdays At The Viper Room before this one.
Jace and Joley have a strong bond that can not be broken. Tested yes broken no. The love they have for each other is priceless. They are on the run for months since Jace kidnapped her from a party. They are hiding out in the most beautiful places then one day Clara finds them. They think they are on the clear once again but they aren't. Clara knows every move they make. She takes Jace and joely has to decide if she wants to save Jace and return to work for Clara and finish out her contract or to just walk away from him. If she chooses to go back she will have no contact with Jace and she will be tortured and she will wish she was dead. If she walks they will kill him and she wont have him. So either way she is screwed. So what will Joley do?
I was on an emotional roller coaster with this book. I so can't wait for the 3rd and final book to come out.
I was asked by the author to read this for an honest review
The story picks up right where book 1 leaves off at which is really great I didn't have to wonder what happened? It flowed really great together nothing out of place the characters all remained really great and the Drama of everything was even better. The hole Devil thing was amazing. The author really did an outstanding job with this story in fact I don't have words for how amazing the author did. It's one story that sucks you and doesn't spit you out that's for sure it's mind blower with all the sex, love, lust, and evil twists. This was a 1 person POV story. The author was able to really capture Joely in a new light from the first story. I really enjoyed my time that I read it, now I'm left waiting for book 3 and man I'm left waiting on the edge of my sit for the next.
***I received this story for free in exchange for an honest review, see more of my review @ http://jmhoward2007.blogspot.com ***
Where do I start Omg after the ending of book one I been waiting for this book even with having a few teaser posted.
Joey and Jace are perfect fit and having to do what they done is a proof of their live for each other BUT then a drastic turn makes it hell for them both and Joey is forced into a lifestyle she don't want to be apart anymore can't wait 4 book 3
I HAVE TO SAY THIS BOOK WAS FAR BETTER THAN THE FIRST. PASSIONATE, FIERY, INTENSE ARE JUST A FEW WORDS TO DESCRIBE THE STORYLINE. I LOVE THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN JACE AND JOELY. PLENTY OF LAUGHTER AND A BIT OF ANGST FOR GOOD MEASURE CANNOT WAIT FOR BOOK 3 IN THIS SERIES.
The second book in the Viper series definitely did not disappoint and certainly kept me on the edge of my seat. I will be recommending this series to all :-)
As a reader, I have become enamored of our cute and precious Viper Girl. She has found true love, gotten married to him and lives freely. In our last chapter, she has been truly set free. Clap, clap! In my heart though, Clara must be punished. So I must read the next chapter to this sad tale.
This story was a continuation of the heart felt struggles that occur due to the actions within the viper club. Same cast of characters as book one but some shifting in the ranks of importance.
