OMG this book has the best and worst cliff hanger EVER! I totally wasn't keeping a check on how far through the book I was and then BANG! You gave me an AMAZING ending!! Wow!
This book has all my guilty pleasures in one exciting bundle, rock stars, drama and the beginnings of a romance. What more could a girl want!

Okey... I am usually not into band member books and from my time as a rock fan I cannot remember any of those guys comming close to the fantasy guys from novels. I always have these slanky, thin, white tattooed guys in my head and they just don't do it for me. Same with girls that throw themselves at these type of guys and I cannot help thinking "guess you deserved what you did get". Why then giving this book 5 stars? you ask. I tell you. Because it was good. Once I got over my dislike for the way the MC treated those women and I found joy in the way he got a bit of his own treatment back by his "fuck" interest I was kind of thrilled to read on. You go girl by walking out on him after the sex, well done! What sounded at the beginning like a classical porn and may or may not portrait the way a rock band behaves behind the stage and on tour, turned out into a very interesting story with twists and turns and ex boyfriends who turn even creepier by stalking and trying to force sexual intercourse. Who would have thought that I would want to read on. This is part ONE and I hate to say that I almost deducted a star for the f@#$%&g cliffhanger. Don't do that to me, just when I really get into it and want to know more...you drop such a bomb and leave me hanging.

Part one of All I Need is a an erotic, fast faced, rocker romance, serial...*whew, that was a mouthful*. However, the story was nicely compacted in a few pages to give the reader a bit of background on the characters. BUT CLEARLY, not enough and you'll see what I mean when you get to the ending. It's a bit of a cliffy and totally slams into you full force. I can't wait for the next installation. Cane just might make you want to scratch his eyes out, and then suck on his tongue to make it all better later on. LOL

I feel like this book is a bit of a contradiction to me. The blurb references Cane's life being a cliche. As I was reading, that statement kept coming back to me. There were so many things that happened in this short first installment that felt like every rock star romance cliche I've read was packed into the pages, and I lost count of how many times I thought "oh no he/ she didn't just say that" or rolled my eyes at something. Yet somehow (and somewhat surprisingly) I actually found myself liking both Cane and Lindsay as characters so kudos to the author for pulling that off!

As noted earlier, Cane is your typical bad boy man whore rocker living his dream. Lindsay comes from a wealthy family but is going against their wishes and pursuing her dream as a music reporter for Rolling Stone magazine. She is not your typical groupie bimbo but she definitely has her sights set on getting a piece of Cane if she can while traveling with the tour.

Cane sees a beautiful woman, not the average stick figure overly trashy piece of ass that normally throws herself at him, and knows she wants him but he wants her on his terms. He can't seem to get her out of his head and has to picture her to get off when he is with groupies, yet he has never even had her (insert one of those eye roll moments here).

Now add in the abusive borderline stalker ex-boyfriend she hasn't seen in years who conveniently shows up on same tour and starts harassing her. Things escalate and Cane is in the right place at the right time to be her hero. The real non- douchebag version of him with a protective side makes an appearance and starts to win her over.

The ending is a bit of a "cliffhanger" but honestly it's really not- it felt obvious what happened there if you go back a chapter or so to a backstage run-in Cane had with a groupie who was pissed he didn't remember her. I am pretty positive that is the source of the event at the end of this installment and will happily eat my words if I am proven wrong in the next part.

And yes, even with all the eye rolling and 'oh my god he did NOT just actually say/ think that, did he' moments I will still give the second part of the series a chance to see what happens. Because against all odds, I still find myself rooting for them and wanting to know what comes next!

I like rock stars, they're sexy and free and music gods, but I don't like the kind that treats women like dirt. This one does. As it's only a way to show how different it will be when the right woman makes an appearance, let's turn the page on that.

Cane is living his dream of booze, drugs, huge concerts and easy women. When he meets a redhead that doesn't fit the pattern, this world is about to be rocked!

It was fun to see both of the characters avoid each other until they couldn't do it anymore. I was wondering how long it would take them to succumb to their attraction. And then, it was wild! But Lindsay doesn't behave like other clingy groupies, so that disconcerts Cane. Good for her!

Things start to get really interesting when something tough happens to Lindsay. This helps to bring the journalist and the wild musician together. All that was hot, adrenaline-driven and got me glued to the pages.

I don't know how this messy hook-up-turned-into-something-else is going to end up, but after that unexpected cliffhanger, I really want to know.

Cane Stephens, is the lead singer of Hookers and Hand Grenades, and his band is on tour. He's your typical rocker who likes drugs, alcohol and never sleeps with the same woman twice-ever.

While on tour the only woman who catches his eye and he can't quit thinking about because she's not like all the other bimbos who frequent the before and after parties. A gorgeous redhead with curves he can't quit thinking about. Lindsey Jones, a reporter from the Rolling Stones. That just killed it for him.

How will Cane and Lindsey get along while on tour? This is a short story. 68 pages. BUT, it seems longer when your reading it. You get lost in the story that's full of drama, sex, and you just fall in love with them. It ends with a cliffy and OMG what is gonna happen, BUT that 's what I love!

I'm dying to get my hands on the next one!

All I Need by Scarlett Metal is the first book in her series "All I Need"; she's another new author for me & I stumbled upon the book as I was browsing on Amazon for yet another new book to read. I am so pleased I found this; it's a rock story and the lead singer, Cain is not particular about is women, as long as they leave, after the deed - until someone changes his mind and he has to fight for what he wants. So why was it good, because it sounds like every other book about rock stars? The writing of course: Scarlett Metal paints a clear concise word picture in this book and it was a dream to read... except for the cliff-hanger at the end! But never fear, I picked up with book 2 straight away and it was everything you could expect. If you want to read a trilogy about the world of musicians on the road, this is the trio to read.

I was excited to read this book because seriously who doesn’t like to read about a hot, sexy, and arrogant dirty mouthed rock star. I love Scarlett Metal’s books and was not disappointed in this book. I enjoyed the storyline and the characters in this book. I was hooked from the beginning of the story and would not put down the book until the end. This is a hot quick read that will leave you wanting more.
WARNING: All I Need contains a hot, sexy, dirty mouthed rock star that at first glance you may think is your typical bad boy rocker, but soon you figure out there is much more to Cane Stephens.
Cane Stephens is the lead singer of Hookers and Hand Grenades and loves his life as a rocker. All the alcohol, drugs, and women that any man could ask for, but one day his life is turned upside down when he meets the hot and sexy redhead Lindsay Jones, a reporter from Rolling Stone. Will Lindsay be the one to tame Cane?
I love how Scarlett Metal tells the story about Cane and Lindsay by using the point of views of Cane and Lindsay to tell their story. I enjoyed that you get to know what each character is thinking and feeling as the story goes along. This helps to enhance the story and to get to know the characters on a different level.
I was enjoying the story and could not wait to see what happens next between Cane and Lindsay then BAM! Scarlett puts a twist to the story at the end that will have you saying WTH and wanting the next book NOW!
I highly recommended this hot and quick read. I am anxiously waiting for All I Need: Volume 2 that hopefully will be out soon.

Oh, how Author Scarlett Metal loved to torture me with this book! Dirty talking, arrogant, tattooed rocker Cane Stephens had me squirming throughout this entire book! And she didn’t stop there. Her leading lady Lindsey Jones had so much sass to her I was rolling. These two characters kept me glued to the book until the very end.

Let’s start with sassy Lindsey Jones, this girl just landed her dream job for the Rolling Stones and is on tour with a group of bands for the summer. (I am secretly jealous of her job!) This girl can write and knows her music. She is instantly drawn to Cane but knows he’s bad news. She keeps telling herself to stay away from him. But that is easier said than done.

Cane Stephen knows he is the hottest rock singer around right now. And he makes no qualms about being a man-whore. He doesn’t care who sees him or knows that he enjoys women 24/7. It’s his right as a rock star, isn’t it? He enjoys his sex, drugs, and rock and roll to extremes. He knows just how to push Lindsey’s buttons too with his dirty talking. I had to fan myself more than once because of this man.

One thing I loved about this book was how Cane was with Lindsey. Their chemistry was great! And Lindsey brings out Cane’s softer sweeter side he doesn’t let people see, even if he becomes a little overprotective.

I cannot wait to for book two. This one left me needing the next book bad! Give me Cane and Lindsey!

Wow, where do I even start? You have a hot rock star that is one hell of a man whore besides being an arrogant idiot! He’s very self absorbed and at times is such a prick. With that being said, once he lays his eyes on Lindsey he knows he will never be the same!

Lindsey is a reporter from the Rolling Stone and as much as Cane is mesmerized by her, he hates reporters. He decides he wants to avoid her at all cost but the more he sees her, the more he wants her in his bed.

Lindsey just wants one night with Cane and that’s what she gets. What surprises me is that the next morning, he finds himself being treated the way he has treated women before. Karma is a bitch!!

As Lindsey faces danger from her past, Cane is there to save the day!! They both know they can’t deny their attraction and that is what makes this one hot novella! Just as Lindsey decides she wants to try with Cane, she comes face to face with his past and it certainly isn’t pretty!!

Cane and Lindsey make for one scorching start to this series and the heat is off the charts. All I can say is I need more Scarlett!!

I want to start out by saying that I loved this book. It kept me hooked right from the beginning.

Cane is a hot God from a band called Hookers and Hand Grenades, what a great name by the way. He has major commitment issues and doesn't feel the need to settle down. He has one goal in mind: to be the life of the party. When Lindsay, the feisty sexy reporter from a popular magazine joins the tour, Cane instantly wants to know more about her. Even he is concerned about his interest in her.

Lindsay is also a total fangirl, and has some conquests of her own. Everything changes in the course of one night though. She receives a surprise that she was not expecting.

Can these two people be brought together by their love of rock and roll or just their intense attraction for one another? Can Cane change his playboy ways for only one woman? Can Lindsay settle down with a band member after her hurtful past? You have to read this fantastic book to find out.

I cannot wait for the second book to come out. The author did an amazing job and even though there was a cliffhanger at the end of the book, it didn't take away from the story line. It just made me want more!!! Hurry Hurry!!!

Lindsey is a reporter for Rolling Stone. She is assigned to tour with Cane's band. She's all about sexy musicians, but she is certainly not your typical groupie. At the same time, she is not quite as innocent as she first appears to be.

Something about Lindsey tweaks Cane's interest. She has worked herself into his head. She is suddenly all he can think about.

Lindsey would love nothing more than to score Cane. But would she be ok with being another notch for Cane and watch him move onto the next?

I won't go any further with my description of this volume because I don't want to spoil anything.
This short read packs a punch. Hot rocker sex, drama, questionable pasts, and a final twist that made me curse the author. I can't wait to get my hands on the second installment. I need more Cane ASAP!!

This is a short story. A very raw earthy story about Lindsey a music journalist and Cane the lead singer of a rock band. To put it bluntly they are both whores who whilst on tour form an attraction and the sex between them is gritty and real. Cane can't decide whether he wants a monogamous relationship with Lindsey or carry on the sex drugs and rock n roll lifestyle which he is taking full advantage of. The chemistry is instant but they begin to form a bond when Lindsey is almost raped by an ex partner who is also a rock star. This instalment ended on a cliff hanger which I didn't see coming. As a result I am eagerly awaiting the next volume in the series. There are a couple of minor editing issues which in my opinion doesn't detract from the story. I'm looking forward to seeing how this relationship between the two progresses - that is if it does! 4 stars.

Protective Rock Star

When a bad boy rocker meets up with a go and get 'em girl both parties are surprised to learn some deeper layers about the other. I admit, going inside the covers I knew it was book one. I was not prepared for the rock star to save her from an attack nor the ending. Holy crap I wanted to reach through my Kindle and slap the gum out of that wench's mouth.

Definitely not your average one dimensional rock star and I have to get my hands on book two asap~
