This is the first of five books in the "50 Day Bible Challenge" series, an excellent way to read the four Gospels and the Book of Acts in a thoughtful, contemplative way without expending a huge amount of time.

In this case, the 28 chapters of the Gospel According to Matthew are divided into 50 daily readings, each of which is followed by a short reflection, a question or two and a prayer. The reflections, questions, and prayers are written by leading Anglicans worldwide—from a former death row-prisoner to a retreat leader to bishops—and offer inspiring and intriguing interpretations on the day's selection.

Each day's reading takes between five and 10 minutes, making this an accessible spiritual discipline for even the busiest among us.

Studied on zoom with friends from church and an out of state sister-in-law, this study generated rich biblical discussion, personal sharing, and insights that proved life enriching. We continue to do these 50 day Bible challenges and are grateful for them.
