ManchVegas Zombies is set in Manchester NH, (AKA ManchVegas). It's the story of how a diverse group of people react when thrust together as the dead begin to walk among us, changing the world we knew forever. The story is told from one of the characters point of view thru memories and current happenings, taking you along with her thru the good times and the bad (and worse), seeing just what this group of people has to do to stay alive in "New ManchVegas".
I enjoyed this book enough that I am definitely going to read the sequel. It is simply told tale, no overblown explanations given as to what caused the apocalypse. Just the kind of story you would expect from a normal survivor, no superhuman impossible to do acts performed.
I've read alot of zombie books and this one starts out pretty good, but it lacks real excitement. I didn't understand how they could be so calm and ho-hum in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. Where are the questions, the fear, the urgency to get help? It's not too long, and it's not a bad story.
