In my case, this collection mostly preaches to the choir, but it does a great job of collecting a wide array of different types of active knowledge making from the early modern period. The most interesting part to me were the essays regarding active reading as a form of knowledge production in itself which for me is a new way of understanding the role of reception in this whole process.
