Rate this book
If you love badass bikers and the smart, caring ladies who fall for them, then you'll love the Blind Jacks MC!

Tiffany
Leading a nomadic life, I’ve been on the run from my rich ex-husband for years. I’ve learned every trick in the book, staying one step ahead of him and his trackers. He’s taken everything from me, and despite everything, I’ve managed to carve out a life. But he’s getting close again. It’s time to hit the road, to start over…but it looks like the universe has other plans.

Ryder
As Sargent at Arms, stalking the crazy man trying to kill my MC brothers is part of my job description. Protecting the club is what I live for. Unfortunately, today I’m the loser in our never ending game of cat and mouse. The last thing I remember before waking up in the emergency room is staring up at the sky while bleeding out onto the cold, hard pavement. Then the pretty nurse walks in and turns my world sideways, and those soft hands know just how to handle a big, angry biker like me. With a psycho on my tail, the stakes couldn’t be higher. I know I should walk away, but self-preservation has never been much of a strong suit. As my enemy closes in, I’ve got no gun, three bullet holes, and absolutely zero patience left. The question is, who will be the one to sign my death warrant—the crazy-ass biker who’s gunning for me…or the sexy-as-sin nurse I’ve got a hard-on for?

i've rounded it up to a four for rating purposes but it really sits at about a 3.5
super fast paced, it was pretty fun to read. no way could it actually be considered believable but in its own way it is a bit cutesy. ends part way through the story .. like a hea for now .. so waiting to see where the next installment takes them

Marked for Death is a quick read. Tiffany is a nurse. Ryder is her patient. But his circumstances are not your run of the mill ER visit. His demons are chasing him and Tiff can't seem to stay out of the way.

This book is the first in the series with plenty of opportunities for more.

Ok...

Not going to go too far in this review. I'll just say that this was strange little biker tale that leaves you hanging on a WTF.

Long pages of useless bantering and events. Lots of spelling issues and the worst part of all, no chemistry between both MC's.

He calls her doll too many times. She keeps referring to him as a badass biker. He even does it! Eye roll****

punctuate that with an abrupt ending...

And this is the worst use of a cliffhanger I've ever seen. I'm in no way propelled to find out what happens. I'll give it a go maybe...

Marked for Death is the first book in the Blind Jacks MC series from J.C. Valentine

Tiffany has been on the run from her rich ex-husband for years. She has learned every trick in the book, staying one step ahead of him and his trackers. He has taken everything from her. But, despite everything she has managed to carve out a life. But, he is getting close again. It is time to hit the road, to start over....but it looks like the universe has other plans.

Ryder is the Sargent at Arms for the Blind Jacks MC. He is stalking the crazy man trying to kill his MC brothers. It is part of his job description. Protecting the club is what he lives for. Unfortunately today he is the loser in their never ending game of cat and mouse. The last thing he remembers before waking up in the emergency room is staring up at the sky while bleeding out onto the cold hard pavement. Then the pretty nurse walks in and turns his world sideways, and those soft hands know just how to handle a big, angry biker like him. With a psycho on his tail the stakes have never been higher. As the enemy closes in, he has no gun, three bullet holes and absolutely zero patience left. The question is, who will be the one to sign his death warrant-the crazy biker who is gunning for him-or the sexy as sin nurse he has a thing for?

I will start by saying this book was totally different than any other MC book I have ever read. I thought it came off more as a sweet love story with a side of danger. Ryder and Tiffany meets after Ryder is run over and shot by Ace who is apparently after the club. She is his nurse in the emergency room and this is a instalove kind of story. There is no getting to know each other its just wham bam, they have to have each other. I am left a little confused by this book but I will say it was a good read but I didn't find the characters to be huge mean scary bikers who were being stalked by a killer. It seems to me he was just after Ryder and not the entire club. There is a reason for this though that you will find out in the book and they way this is taken care of shocked me. Like literally floored me and then I just kind of had to laugh it off and move on. I don't think of all the MC books that I have read have I ever seen a conflict resolved in this manner and if you have read a lot of MC books I am sure it will surprise you too. The other thing I felt was unresolved from what I read in the description of the book is the ex-husband and his trackers after Tiffany. I thinks she mentions a man to Ryder at almost the very end of the book. All you know as a reader is there is someone who Tiffany keeps running from and moving from town to town so she isn't found.

This book is more the size of a novella and you will read it quickly. I enjoyed the story but was just left with a hmmm.....what about and wow way to resolve conflict when I finished. But, I enjoyed this story. I looked at it more like a story where two people meet and just know they are meant for each other instead of a bad butt biker claiming his old lady and I was fine with it.

I’ve learned over the past year that MC novels are my favorite sinful delight! Granted there is inappropriate dialogue and at first seemingly demeaning connotations towards women, but what can I say, it’s my guilty pleasure! Marked for Death was definitely a guilty pleasure but just too short! It was a great start to the new Blind Jacks MC series, but oh how I wanted more of Ryder!

As typical with MC novels, Marked for Death focuses on a sweet, intelligent, caring woman that finds herself completely intrigued with a bad-ass biker. What made this novella stand out from the rest was the exquisite writing and incredible characterization courtesy of J.C. Valentine. More of a short story than a novella, the author packs a punch with Tiffany and Ryder, making you cringe, stress, swoon, and celebrate all in one tiny package.

Being that it is so short, I don’t want to go into the plot much more than the blurb already does, but let me say that the story is a romantic one as one man finds himself injured, yet still needs to finish a job, while a woman finds herself completely out of her element when she wants to help him. Just wait for their flirty banter and especially their conversations in their intimate moments, because there is some serious soul-sharing that occurs that will make your heart burst.

If you’re a fan of MC romances, or even if you haven’t yet taken that leap, this is one that should not be missed! I can’t wait to see what J.C. Valentine has for us next in this series!

I was excited to start a new series by an author I love a double plus it’s a MC book.

The Blind Jacks MC are dealing with trouble and Ryder takes the decision to deal with it on his own because he feels responsible. When trouble finds him it brings him into contact with Tiffany. Tiffany is always on the move trying to stay one step ahead of a vengeful ex.

I liked both characters, Ryder is quite closed off emotionally but he has a filthy mouth and trust me he’s not afraid to use ur. Tiffany looks at her life quite pragmatically she’s so matter of fact about having to uproot her life.

This was an enjoyable story and a good start to the series. The mix of MC drama. personal conflict and burgeoning relationship was dealt with really well.

I only read at night before bed and I just couldn't put my kindle down. I just wanted to keep reading, even at 4am!! I was disappointed it ended, but this is the first book in what I hope is a long series!! I definitely recommend this book and I look forward to the next one!! If you like stories about alpha men that treat women right with lots of action and hot sex, then this is the book for you!! Enjoy!!

What a Sexy Hot Way to start a new series. Right from the start, we are thrown into the action and drama surrounding Ryder and what leads him to the ER. That is where he meets Tiffany and things heat up fast. The camaraderie between Tiffany and Ryder kept me glued to this book and the passion between these two had me fanning my self. He is very bossy but she sure knows how to put him in his place. There is definitely more behind Tiffany's past and I can't wait to read more about it.

I feel like I have to be brutally honest here. This author is one of my favorites, however this novel just fell flat. It wasn't her normal work, the characters we're like two dimensional with hardly any personality. It read like a narrative from a play.
Tiffany doesn't stay in one place long because of her rich ex-husband yet she changes her course for one injured dude?? The attraction just wasn't believable.
Don't get me wrong it is a good storyline. The pages just didn't flow for this reader. It was a bit of a let down. I really did expect more.

Marked for death by J C Valentine is book 1 in the Blind Jacks MC series.
I didn't really connect with the characters very much of this book but I did like the bare bones of the story, it was an interesting storyline. I liked the fact that the MC member was the one in trouble and needed to rely on the female lead for help, but Ryder's overwhelming personality traits of rough, arrogant and offensive turned me off a bit but Tiffany seemed ok with it.
It looks like a good start to the series.
I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.

Marked for Death
By: J.C. Valentine

⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 Review by Kristie K

A quick and dirty MC romance, with danger, adventure, and all the bad boy biker you can handle…

J.C. Valentine unveils a brand new MC series with Marked for Death, the first in the Blind Jacks MC series. Hunted by a madman set on his total destruction, Ryder is trying to keep two steps ahead and his enemy in his sights…but his luck runs out when he is blindsided by the psycho he seeks. Left for dead in a gas station parking lot, with three gunshot wounds and several cuts and bruises, Ryder thinks his time may have just run out. Waking up to the most beautiful face he’s ever seen was not what Ryder expected…unless of course he is dead, and somehow managed to get to heaven. Learning that the beautiful face tops the curvy and perfect little body of an ER nurse with as much sass and fire as she is gorgeous, throws him into a tailspin. Tiffany is an ER nurse with a dark past, and demons of her own to avoid…but something about the powerful biker in her ER brings her to her knees. Completely taken with his masculine, rugged beauty, Tiffany puts her own life at great risk to help this dangerous man survive. When the attraction they share finally flares to epic proportions, a love neither of them expects starts to form. Can they overcome the obstacles in their path to make their own happily every after?

Marked for Death was a quick read, loaded down with action, alpha males, and danger. With plenty of sexual chemistry to keep you warm on a cold winter night, this book has something for everyone. The plot and storyline were distinct, different from any I’ve come across this far. It’s unique take is what drew me to the book, and curiosity kept me reading. As much as I loved the idea behind the book, the execution seemed slightly rushed. I’m all for a good insta-love situation, but the dangerous story that brings these two together happened quickly, and with little flair. I was expecting a lot more edginess, danger, and edge-of-my-seat moments that I just didn’t get. The characters are great, but I would have liked to see more development, more background. I wanted to know the characters, get my hands dirty, and really get to know them. I don’t feel like I got a lot of that in this installment. That being said, I did still totally fall head over heels for Ryder, with his dirty mouth and soft heart. And Tiffany was awesome! Such a brave little woman, with intelligence and intuition to spare. So, even though I wasn’t totally thrilled with the depth of the story, the book is still a great read, and I will definitely keep reading the series to see what happens next.

This is the first book in the Blind Jacks MC and is a novella length read.

Tiffany is on the run from her ex (an overused scenario - I have read three this week so far) and is ready to move to her next town to keep ahead of him finding her. On her last night at the hospital where she works as a nurse, a patient with gunshot wounds comes in who she has an instant attraction for.

Ryder is a member of the Blind Jacks MC on the hunt for Ace who is trying to kill him and end his club in revenge for the death of his brother. When a head to head goes wrong, Ryder ends up in the hospital but needs to keep hunting down Ace, hence he takes up the help of the sexy nurse.

The storyline for a novella lacked pace and was a slow start with over detailed elements that did not add anything to the story - for instance pages and pages devoted to describing the hospitals rosta for the night. I ended up skipping through that. Then the romance element was insta and was more of a sex-a-thon which ordinarily would not be a problem for me but there was no build up of the characters to be invested and understand their mutual passion for each other so early in meeting (a BJ happens which came out of nowhere and didn't relate to the character)

Unfortunately there was no depth or character development for me to be invested in the romance story which is a shame as I have read other books by this author which I have enjoyed. Overall it was an OK read but left me disappointed.

this seemed like it should have been a novella between books. regardless. .. the story had potential but fell flat for me. not enough Mc and mostly about a girl on the run from an ex and a guy who gets shot by someone named ace( this doesn't fet explained till the ending of the book).
in the end the third star was given for vocab usage.

This was an ok read, and slightly interesting. Things are intense and captivating from the very first pages. However there was no depth to the storyline and the characters were under developed. There were times when I found myself confused because I’d get lost in the over detailing of some parts. This made it hard for me to try and stick with the story too, in turn making it a sort of long read. The attraction between the two MC’s was lacking and slightly hard to believe, it was a lot of lust filled insta sex, and lacked a lot of substances. Over all it was an ok read, but I don’t think it was for me.

This is quite a quick read, really it's a novella as it's around the 2 hour mark.

The blurb really attracted me to this book but I just didn't connect with the characters and it all felt just a little 'flat'. The writing is technically fine but it just felt like I was being 'told' rather than 'shown'. There wasn't any emotion for me.

The plot and ideas were good but perhaps it is just that this author isn't for me.

I will also mention that the book doesn't have a cliffhanger ending to me, as much as an unresolved loose end.

DNF @50%.

There are long descriptive words, extra verbose sentences e.g. "He placed his foot on the cold, institutional floor". A cold floor would work. Yes, they are in a hospital, it is an institutional property but really?

There is no way a person would say "did he leave the property" under the circumstances I'm sure they would just say did he leave? The guy just woke up from being sedated and they are having professor doctorate, peer reviewed discussions that read unnaturally and remove any believability in the dialogue and overall story.

I just couldn't read it anymore.🙃

Wow! What a way to start a series! I love Ryder and Tiffany. They both have this unstoppable strength that drew me in. They are both running from things in their past and even though it's a quick read I didn't feel as if I missed anything with their insta connection. There is this swirl of danger, mystery and a lot of sparks from the beginning. I'm excited for more of them and the rest of the guys!

I liked it, but didn't connect with the characters. The first book in a series is always a bit tricky as you are introducing the club but trying to focus on the couple. This is a quick read so we don't get a lot of information. We still don't know all of Tiffany's background and I'm sure it will cause issues for the club later on. The part I really had trouble with was the guys "talking it out", I just couldn't visualize that happening that way.

Fans of MC-themed romances will find many of the expected elements in this romance of a very rough around the edges biker begrudgingly accepting the help of a kind-hearted nurse while he’s on a road to revenge. It’s a fast paced story with a bit of suspense and a lot of time spent on dirty talk and verbal foreplay. By the end it’s clear that this couple’s story is just beginning as trouble is never far behind.

Ryder’s your typical bad boy biker with his antagonistic attitude, crude talk, and lone wolf mentality. While on a mission to bring in the man who hurt his club he ends up shot and in need of help as he recovers. His unexpected savior ends up being a sassy and strong-willed nurse with her own kind of danger following her. What follows is a lot of banter full of sexual tension that has him even more intrigued by her and wanting to claim her as his own. She’s different from the usual club groupies, she’s someone of worth and strength, and he sees her as the final piece in his picture perfect idea of home and does all he can to woo her. When danger finally catches up to him though, he’ll have to choose between doing his job or choosing her. Ryder’s full of attitude, quick to anger, and doesn’t like to rely on others. He’s very rough around the edges with his crude speech and constant sexual innuendos, but he also has a surprising soft side. He wants a wife, he enjoys the tender ministrations, and sees heaven as a quaint and comfy house with kids and a wife. At moments like that I adored Ryder and could understand why Tiffany was falling for him. His overall thoughts regarding women though frustrated me as he was respectful one moment and derogatory the next. He called Tiffany a bitch on numerous occasions and thought it an endearment, but I found it very jarring and it marred their romance for me.

Tiffany’s a woman used to starting over. With a dangerous man following her she never settles in one place for long. On her last night at the hospital though she ends up doing all sorts of things she never thought she’d do in order to save yet another dangerous man. It’s out of the frying pan and into the fire as Tiffany cares for Ryder at his weakest moment, using her strong will and no-nonsense attitude. With Ryder, Tiffany steps outside her comfort zone, throws caution to the wind and the regimented way she’s been living. She finally goes after what she wants instead of hiding and I enjoyed seeing her feisty side. She’s a good match for Ryder as she gives as good as she gets in banter that was rapid-fire and erotically-charged. She has a kind heart too and is the voice of reason when things really get tough and it’s her tender touch that tames the beast. From start to finish Tiffany was the highlight as she was a formidable heroine who went toe-to-toe with danger and with her past coming ever closer I’m counting on her to win once again.

This was a quick read with a middle section that dragged slightly before racing to a pulse-pounding confrontation. Throughout the story there was lots of sexual tension and dirty talk. Some of that dirty talk was enjoyable, playful and sexy, but Ryder took it to a crude level occasionally which disappointed me. I liked Ryder, but when he talked that way it angered me and I wish Tiffany had called him out on it. Despite that, I still found this a sexy read. It’s a tale of insta-love that worked for me as this is a formidable couple whose connection is crackling. By the end I was rooting for them and look forward to where they go from here. I also see a compelling story ahead for Ace, an emotionally broken biker who has a lot to atone for. He’s lost a lot, it’s clear he longs for a HEA of his own and it’s a story that I’m breathlessly waiting for. On a whole, this was a satisfying series starter that introduced readers to a few intriguing characters. There was a good balance of sexiness and action that kept me invested every step of the way. The language became crude at times and it’s something that I hope is toned down in future installments. I like my bikers a bit rough but Ryder was too rough at times and it marred the mystique of bikers with a heart of gold who are why I read these kinds of romances and which will have me counting down the days until the next installment.

3.75 STARS!

A knockout way to kick off the new series.
I thought this short, punchy read brought it all to the table and made sure that I was not left wanting but was definitely hungry for more.
The story was one that left just enough doubt and a little suspicion as to who exactly was the prey and who was the hunter because as much as Ryder was trying his hardest to find Ace and eliminate the threat that he was to his brothers, Ace was also on the warpath because Ryder was the man responsible for the death of his brother. So, keep your wits about you ladies!
I was cool with it all and totally on board when Ryder finally thought he had it sorted and had Ace firmly in his sights but nope, Ms. Valentine was having none of that …she twisted it all up in my head and Ryder ends up in hospital having been shot by Ace. WTF
Anyway, the hospital might have been the last place he wanted to wake up but the presence of a rather pretty nurse certainly eased his angst, but whether he was attracted to her or not, this nurse had enough of her own angst to deal with and was just about to hit the road, yet again.
Tiffany has been on the run for longer than any one person should ever need to be, but she is desperate to stay one step ahead of her ex and that means never putting down roots, but when he wakes and is less than keen on remaining in hospital, she is faced with trying to convince him to do the one thing she can’t do herself, stay put…mind you he does have two bullet holes to contend with!
Ryder knows that no matter what Tiffany says, he has to go because when Ace finds out that he was unsuccessful in his attempt to kill him, he will be back to finish the job and it won’t just be Ryder in the firing line, it will be anyone that has helped hi…and that includes Tiffany.
Can she keep him where he needs to be or will she help him escape and if she does, will they survive either physically or emotionally because there is a draw between the pair of them that has potential to be hazardous to them both!
Ryder and Tiffany were superb, I loved that she was his match and more than able to hold her own. The verbal sparring between them was superb!
Hook, line, and sinker I was totally absorbed and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next installment.

Great start to this new series! I'm desperate for the next one. I should have known when i saw the title of the last chapter but darn it i still shouted "nooooooooooooooo!!! Where's the next one?!?!?!?!"

Ryder is chasing down someone who wants him and his brothers dead. That's not going to happen on his watch! As Sergeant at Arms for the Blind Jacks MC it's his job to protect them all. He's not going home until he eliminates the threat. Unfortunately in his quest he gets injured and ends up at the mercy of his nurse, Tiffany.

Tiffany is on her last shift at St Marys Hospital. Her spirits are high, she loves her job but it's time to move on. She's used to starting over so she's going to enjoy her last shift. A rough biker who had to be sedated because he was fighting his rescue team ends up in her care. He's desperate and she can't stop her protective nature when she agrees to help him hide.

They're like chalk and cheese but there's a connection between them that neither can deny. He's bad for her, she's too good for him but does fate have other ideas?

I fell for Ryder in the first few chapters. He's rough and totally without a filter, kinda cavemany lol. He's says it as it is and doesn't care who he offends. I loved him! To be honest i think just his description got me! But the real winner was his vulnerable side. More or less helpless and at Tiffany's mercy the snippets of his self depreciation had me breaking a little and i can't wait to find out why!

Tiffany at first appears sweet and caring and maybe a little naive, but as the story goes along there are more and more flashes or a seriously strong woman who is doing everything in her power to make a good life for herself despite the hints of what has happened in her past. Again... I need to know what happened to her!!

You jump straight into the story and it never really slows down. I was hooked! But seriously i am going a little nuts with ending!!! Wicked torturous authors get me every time!!! lol

Fantastic start to the series, i can't wait to continue on the journey and meet the rest of the Blind Jacks.

I didn't judge this book by its cover because it was a sexy cover. I was more or less drawn to it on account of an MC was in the equation. I gravitate towards these stories like bees to honey. I loved this book even though I thought it was too short. However, it still earned five stars from me because I loved that it told a good story right away from the beginning without being overwhelming. If anything it sucked me into it quick. It was like Grey's Anatomy meets Sons of Anarchy.
Tiffany is a nurse in a busy ER when Ryder is brought in with three bullet holes and a concussion. He's pretty sure he has died and just woke up to the prettiest angel ever when he wakes up to her face. As the fog clears, the brutish biker is drawn to her but Ryder has a bounty on his head, being hunted by a psychotic killer who's gunning for him and his MC brothers. It's kill or be killed. And his would-be killer is on the warpath trying to find him to finish him off. Tiffany isn't going to let that happen on her watch. Trying to not let her heart get involved is slowly but surely becoming impossible. And complicating her nomadic life...because she has her own demons she's trying to outrun in the form of a cruel, rich ex-husband. It's time to move on again to stay ahead of the chase.
Both are marked for death by mad men. She's fallen in love with the hardcore biker in a few short days and wondering how she would fit into the life he led, a life that sometimes operated on the shadier side of the law. Ryder is pretty sure she's it for him but it means giving up his heart lock, stock and barrel. As sergeant-at-arms for his MC, Ryder's loyalty to his club brothers is his life and has been all that he has known. His brain tells him the smart thing would be to walk away for her own safety and his sanity but his heart is keeping him tethered to the sexy nurse. Tiffany isn't giving in without anything less than his whole heart.
I'm hooked on this author's writing as of now. This is the first book in the Blind Jacks MC series. I can't wait to keep reading on to follow the Blind Jacks to the end! Definitely a one-click story if you like MC related stories.

Marked for Death is the first book in the exciting new Blind Jacks MC series by bestselling author J.C. Valentine. An action packed, gripping, romantic suspense that's a definite must read! With an interesting storyline, complex characters you can't help but love, humor, angst, intense situations, danger, and surprise twists, this story will capture you from the beginning, and hold tight until the very end. It was a fantastic story, and a great beginning to what is going to be an incredible series!

Ryder, the Sargent At Arms (SAA) for the Blind Jacks MC, has been hunting for a man who has been causing trouble with his club, and ready to put an end to it once and for all, until he gets the tables get turned, and he's the one who has 3 bullet holes in him. Tiffany has been running from her ex for a long time, and it's time to move again, unfortunately. She's so tired of being on the run, but getting caught is definitely not an option. Tiffany meets Ryder during her last shift at the hospital where she's been working, which quickly turns into a nightmare when he asks for her help in getting him away from the man now hunting him.

When the situation turns from bad to worse, Tiffany knows that she can't leave Ryder on his own. However, neither of them know that fate has something planned for them, and it could be the answers to both of their problems, if they both weren't so stubborn. With Ryder unable to protect himself due to his condition, how will he be able to keep Tiffany safe? Will the sexual tension between them end up being too much to resist? Will either of them get the HEA that they deserve? You're going to have to readthis to find out, but you won't be disappointed!

I can't wait for the next book in this incredible series, and I hope that there will be more involvement with the MC going forward.
I strongly recommend this book, series, and exceptional author.

I have voluntarily reviewed this arc provided by the author.

When trouble hits the Blind Jacks Motorcycle Club Ryder decides to take matters into his own hands and deal with it head on, and just when he finds the source of the trouble and is ready to take him out, his opponent gets the jump on him, shoots him and leaves him to die. But today isn't his day to enter the pearly gates, so he winds up laying in a hospital bed and finds himself at the mercy of a feisty, yet delicate and beautiful nurse named Tiffany. He can't help but fall a little for her, she brings an unexpected passion into his world, and when trouble comes knocking for round two, she jumps into action and saves Ryder. He tries to keep her from getting involved, but she takes her job of caring for her patients very seriously and has no intentions of walking away from him until he is able to take care of himself. Now the two of them are on the run and trying to stay one step ahead of the trouble that is barreling right towards them...and trying to keep a handle on the sparks that are continuously arching between them!

I have a feeling this new series from Ms. Valentine is going to be a hit with romance readers, from the moment I cracked the cover on this action packed little tale I was hooked... it sinked its claws into me and held on tight until the last page was swiped!! The story line was chocked full of moments that had me teetering on the edge of my seat, moments that had me blushing, and moments that squeezed my heart...it was quite a well-rounded and memorable read! I highly recommend you check this series out, you will not be disappointed with what you find... and are sure to be left aching for more!!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this title.

This is the first book in a new series and it brings one word to mind... WOW! It is a kill or be killed kinda story.
Ryder is trying to catch Ace before he gets to any of his brothers. But Ace is after Ryder because he killed Ace's brother. So the chaser is being chased or is it the runner the one running. Any way you look at it, someone is about to die, I guess it is the one with the better shot that will survive. Just when Ryder thinks he has the upper hand and has an eye on Ace, Ace turns the tables on him, shoots him and leaves before the cops show up. Ryder ends up in the hospital with an angel standing over him. Which turns out to be a nurse and he is glad of that because he is attracted to her.
Tiffany is a registered nurse and is working her last shift at St. Mary's hospital, moving on once again. Running has to get easier someday but she has to stay ahead of her ex-boyfriend. When she hears her patient stirring, she has to make him understand that leaving is a bad idea. He has two bullet holes in him anyway but he doesn't care because the man that shot him is coming back and he must leave or he will be dead and so will anyone who helps him.
Will Tiffany help Ryder get away from the hospital and Ace? Can she help him without falling in love with him? Will Ryder send her away to keep her safe? Will Tiffany stay one step ahead of her ex-boyfriend?
This is a great beginning to a new series, I didn't want to put it down once I started it. But things like sleep and work always seem to get in the way. Anyway, if you love a great MC story that turned out to be a quick read but worth it, then you need to read this one. I can't wait for the next one.
