Needing distance from my cheating ex, I escape to a small Alaskan town, not realizing the danger that waits for me. An unknown threat targeting women hunts from the shadows and turns its evil focus to me the moment I arrive.

On the way to the resort, I draw the intense focus of two hotter-than-heck locals who decide they'll keep me safe while I photograph the adorable town and breathtaking scenery.

Miles, the brooding, overprotective former Navy SEAL covered in tattoos that I want to lick.
Aiden, the sweet, mischievous joker who makes me feel loved and seen in a way I've never felt before.

The two best friends share everything and want to do the same with me.

Um, yes, please.

Our wild, passionate nights and fun days exploring the beautiful landscape bring us closer together, making me want to stay forever.

But when an unexpected attack strikes the heart of the poly community and pulls me into the mix, will the two men who have stolen my heart save me in time, or will our happily ever after end with my last breath?

DNF at 50%. I was so disappointed 😔 this prologue drew me right in and I absolutely thought I would love it based off of that. But it has some insta-love going on and unfortunately that is a book ick for me 😭 I wanted more of a build up and realistic romance plot. If Aspen would have went on a hike with both Miles and Aiden and something would have happened romanticall between them I think that would have been a better way to go about it, rather than such an immediate “love” connection. I love a why choose/throuple romance so I was so excited for this just based off the cover 💔 please read for yourself because I really had high hopes for this and I hope everyone loves it!

ARC review:

5⭐️: Wow wow wow!!! 🤯 Immediate chokehold from the prologue. The vibes were 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻. Would’ve finished this in 24hrs if i didn’t have to adult. Loved Aiden and Miles immediately. Aiden being the classic handsome flirty MMC and Miles being the grumpy MMC was an MFM dream👌🏻. I really connected with Aspen as well. I think a lot of readers will identify with her sense of insecurity and needing to find herself. The chemistry between Aspen, Aiden, and Miles was 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨 and I found their open communication so refreshing. The spice was HOT AF 🥵🥵🥵🫠🫠🫠 and while I was left constantly wanting more, I’m also thankful it wasn’t overdone. The backdrop of Alaska and Uplift being a recreational/rescue community really added to the suspense and really had me racing through the chapters. This was my intro to Kennedy’s work and will definitely be reading more. I’m already itching for book 2 of the series, I absolutely need to know what happened to Caroline!?! 😫

This is book one in a new series for a Kennedy and I mean I knew it was going to be awesome. I’m a big fan of her romantic suspense series’. And I LOVE me a good MFM cuz I know no matter what one of these men is gonna be my ultimate dream….. and in walks Miles. But I’ll get to that. Our FMC Aspen is basically running away to Alaska from a toxic situationship with a co worker that sounds like a real Wanker. She heads to the small community of Anchor Bay where she plans to hike and take photos as she’s an unreal, pretty famous photographer…and she immediately meets sexy man #1 Aiden and he’s fun and carefree and instantly wants Aspen. Of course. Then our girl gets to meet Miles and I’m sorry but swoon central. He is big, tattooed and over protective is his middle name. Miles comes with some severe PTSD from his time in the Seals and has a difficult time integrating to life. Him and Aiden have an unbelievable bond and it shows in absolutely everything especially their sharing of women…..
I love everything about Miles, his growth, his love, his protectiveness, his soft side…just for Aspen. The connection the 3 have is instantaneous and you’re immediately envious.
The storyline is great and keeps you on your toes and there is a whole other story going on in the background that will continue on throughout the 5 book series. The premise of that story is hikers and women are disappearing and/or murdered at an alarming rate and no one knows who or what is happening to them. I love stories like this, the anticipation, the guessing, all the theories I know I’m gonna come up with…exciting! Already desperate for book 2 and to see whose story is up next.

I loved this book! Miles, Aiden and Aspen were so good together - they had such amazing chemistry. This story is steamy and emotional and I couldn’t put it down. I loved the mystery/suspense and the prologue had me guessing through the whole the book. Not all our questions were answered so I am excited for the next book!

Aspen, takes a last minute trip to beautiful Anchor Bay Alaska. She meets Aiden - he is charming and sweet and he invites her for drinks with his best friend Miles: instant connection!

“Hopefully, Mother Nature would take pity on me and was kinder than that ho Fate.”

Aspen was witty and sassy (her inner dialogue had me laughing at times) and we see Aspen grow more confident too. She was struggling and had feelings of self doubt and I definitely connected with her. Her worries and concerns about her life felt very authentic.

Miles was protective and brooding and had this tough exterior but underneath was so caring and dare I say secretly sweet. He was dealing with so much trauma and pain and Aiden was carrying so much guilt. Aspen really helped both of them start to heal. I also loved the friendship between Miles and Aiden.

I loved the secondary characters and the poly community - and also the animals! While there still are some unanswered questions, I am really excited for the next book!

Wow, I did not see this book coming. The story, the heart, the overarching mystery, and the spice was the cherry on top! Forever Theirs is book one in the Anchor Bay series and I can tell you without a doubt I will be not only continuing this series but impatiently waiting for each installment. Anchor Bay will be a series of standalone stories about multiple MFM relationships, but there will be a mystery that is discussed throughout each book and solved at the end of book 5.
In book one we meet Aspen, a successful photographer who finds her boyfriend in a compromising position with their publisher and that’s the last straw. She is tired of being taken advantage of and needs to get away. She decides to go to Anchor Bay in Alaska where she can relax, reset and get some great photos while she’s there. On her first day, she meets Aiden, a super hot, sweetie who escorts her into town. Aiden can’t wait to introduce Aspen to his best friend Miles, the broody, overprotective Navy SEAL. Aiden feels an immediate connection to Aspen and hopes that she can be the one to complete their unconventional family.
Forever Theirs is such a fun, fast read. Aiden and Miles will have you absolutely swooning and Aspen is such a breath of fresh air. She has her insecurities just like all women but she is direct and leads with her heart. Their story is sexy as hell but it also has so much heart. The background mystery will make you think about every person you encounter and it’s super fun to form theories about all of these quirky characters. I can definitely see the potential for these books in this small unconventional vacation town.

3 - 3.25 stars!

Forever Theirs was good…I won’t deny that. However, this MFM needed a bit more build up, relationship development and real connection and to back off the suspense piece. Unfortunately I felt like the story was a bit too short to have both a suspense plot like this paired with a romance involving two men.

All three MCs had baggage and there wasn’t enough time to truly unpack all that and create something wonderful between them. I was missing some emotional connection but I will say the spice was spicing despite my thoughts on that.

I will read more in this series for sure because I enjoy this author and I especially enjoy that it’s MFM without the added complications of MM and forcing the FMC to the sidelines. If you’ve read my reviews you know my thoughts on that 😂😅.

Anyway, this was good. Not great. But good. Take that as it is I suppose.

Great start to the new Anchor Bay series, I am very excited to read book two as the book ended with some mystery and unanswered questions.

Aspen is a nature/wildlife photographer who catches her boyfriend cheating on her with their boss and decides to go on a solo adventure to Alaska’s small town of Anchor Bay. She is greeted by a handsome tall tour guide who happens to share with his best friend.

Aspen is in for a wild journey her week at Anchor Bay as there have been women and men who have come up in-alived. This book was steamy, full of unanswered questions and mystery. Gave me snowy criminal minds vibes and I had so much fun reading and on the edge of my seat.

Kennedy L. Mitchell absolutely nails it with this thrilling and spicy start to her new Anchor Bay series. From page one, I was all in. The suspense adds just the right edge, and the heat? Off the charts. Miles, Aiden, and the heroine are total fire together. I need more of this world—and to find out who’s behind the chaos. Bring on the next one! Forever Theirs is an EPIC read that will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!

Thanks to Kennedy L. Mitchell and The Author Agency for an ARC!

I laughed, gasped, smiled, swooned, worried, and cried in this book. I am more emotional than some people but there were just a few scenes that I thought were beautiful, sad or relatable. (Those are all good enough reasons for me to tear up.)

—The friendship/brotherhood between Aiden and Miles is so wholesome and funny. They’ve just been through it all together and you can tell how much they mean to each other.
—The insta-love from Aiden was too much for me at first, but honestly it fit his personality and his perceptiveness. He knew they would all three be good together and mesh well. I think Aspen was able to reason through their fast attraction in a rational manner. Miles was slow to open up, which was expected with his history and trauma. They make an incredibly sexy throuple.
—I don’t always love the FMC, but Aspen is different and her character development felt relatable.
—Miles. M I L E S. Holy hell. 🔥🔥
-Overbearing? Maybe
-Grumpy? Of course
-Will do anything and everything to protect and care for those he loves?! ABSOLUTELY
—That ending was not *too* crazy but it did have me speed reading to make sure **spoiler** was okay. 🥺
—I’m seriously looking forward to book two and can’t wait to see what throuple is featured in the next book!

A story truly captivating that will hook you up from the prologue fueling you with an adrenaline feeling right from the start.
Kennedy created another phenomenal story, that is the perfect beginning for a brand new series.

Forever Theirs is the first book in the Anchor Bay series, introducing us to the story of Aspen, Aiden and Miles.

Aspen is a bright, resilient soul with passion for photography and she’s looking for a fresh start.
Miles and Aiden are both strong and protective souls but they are both carrying burdens and scars from the past.
The path of these three collides just at the right moment, making them see that they are what they need in order have that fresh start, to heal and to find the love they deserve.
But not everything will be easy because if you have read anything by Kennedy you know she likes to throw those unexpected twists of suspense, that in this case were woven subtly through the story and in this particular series the angst will stretch beyond this book without leaving you in a cliffhanger, just enough to keep you guessing yet giving you the perfect ending for these three.
Kennedy delivered a truly special story with a journey of love, healing, scorching chemistry and underlying twists that you don’t want to miss!

4.5 ⭐️

I really enjoyed this story — it strikes a great balance between romance, suspense, and emotional healing. I loved the quiet moments of connection, the growing bond between the characters, and especially the comforting presence of Jubie the dog. Their relationship starts with attraction, but soon grows into something deeper — marked by trust, vulnerability, and real connection. I also really enjoyed the sense of community among the ex-military; it brought a genuine sense of support and brotherhood. The story unfolds over a short time span, so a few emotional moments move fast — still, I felt completely drawn in by the characters and their journey, and I can’t wait to find out who’s behind the murders.

Writing/Plot: The writing is smooth and immersive with sharp pacing that keeps you hooked from Aspen’s arrival in Alaska to the rising threat against local women. The mix of romance and suspense is well-balanced and engaging throughout.
Characters: Aspen is sweet, sassy, full of hidden insecurities, and slowly learning her worth. Her vulnerability makes her relatable, and her resilience makes her shine. Miles is the broody, tattooed former SEAL with deep wounds and a fiercely protective heart, while Aiden is the golden retriever energy incarnate — but underneath the charm lies quiet pain of his own. Together, these two are complete opposites who balance each other perfectly. (Special shoutout to Jubie the dog—10/10.)
Relationships: The romance is a fast burn but grounded in care, respect, and real emotional intimacy. The poly dynamic is healthy, full of open communication, and incredibly sexy without ever losing the tenderness. Aspen’s connection with both men feels distinct and genuine, and the way they all come together is emotionally fulfilling. This is a story about finding safety in love, learning to accept it, and building something solid from the ashes of broken pasts.
Worldbuilding: The small-town Alaskan setting is both idyllic and dangerous. It is perfect for a story that explores community, healing and unexpected paths to love. The mix of cozy moments and high-stakes suspense keeps the story exciting.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Aspen arrives in Alaska looking for solitude—an escape from the heartbreak weighing her down, hoping that the vast, untamed wilderness will help her rediscover herself. As a nature photographer, she finds solace in capturing the raw beauty around her, each frame a quiet attempt to make sense of her emotions. But what she doesn’t expect is to find herself drawn to two men who touch her heart in different ways and whose pasts are just as complicated as her own.

Aiden and Miles, both veterans, bear the quiet scars of service—some visible, some buried deep. Aiden is all warmth and light—his easygoing nature and openhearted kindness remind Aspen what it feels like to laugh again and to embrace joy without hesitation. Then there’s Miles, who is intense, brooding and deeply guarded, his past is etched into the very scars he tries to hide. Both men make her feel seen in ways she didn’t realize she was missing. The pull between them is undeniable, each man offering Aspen something she never realized she needed. Lastly there’s Jubie, Miles’ sweet, intuitive dog, who curls up beside Aspen as if she knows exactly what her heart needs.

As she bonds with Aiden and Miles in distinct ways, the story unfolds with layers of emotional depth, breathtaking descriptions, and heart-stopping tension. The romance builds with slow-burn intensity, intertwined with whispers of suspense that keep the pages turning. There’s more than just emotional stakes at play—secrets lurk beneath the surface, and Aspen soon realizes that Alaska isn't just a place to escape, but one that demands reckoning.

Through quiet moments and stolen glances, Aspen finds herself torn—not between love, but between the versions of herself each man brings to life. Aiden encourages her to embrace lightness, while Miles teaches her the beauty of depth and understanding. Their bonds are delicate yet undeniable, shaped by whispered confessions, lingering touches, and the ever-present pull of the Alaskan landscape.

But while the Alaskan wilderness offers respite, the past refuses to stay buried. The men have a vindictive ex fling who still lingers, a woman who is not ready to let them go, causing trouble for the three of them. Aspen finds herself caught in something far more complicated than attraction. It’s about trust, healing, and understanding that love isn’t just about choosing someone—it’s about choosing the life you want to live.

Forever Theirs is a breathtaking exploration of love, healing, and the way human connection can reshape us in ways we never expected. It’s not about choosing between two men—it’s about Aspen choosing herself, and discovering that love, in all its forms, is what truly sets us free. Romantic tension intertwines with gripping suspense, creating a pulse-pounding story of love, survival, and self-discovery. With vivid imagery, compelling characters, and an atmosphere thick with both passion and danger, it keeps you on the edge of your seat to see what happens next!

A huge thank you to Kennedy L. Mitchell and the Author Agency for the early copy! This is a new top favorite MFM romantic suspense!

Book Review: Forever Theirs by: Kennedy Mitchell

I love Kennedy’s books! I was so excited to start this new Series I had done an IG live with her and we talked about this new book and I was chomping at the bit to get it! The beginning of the book has your attention and goosebumps crawling as she again gives us the POV from the killer! Like seriously though it is such a unique and mysterious way to hook you into the story!

But this plot line really is more of a side story at least in this first book as she introduces us to the community and the three MCs of this book! But she definitely weaves the suspense and the weird creepy vibe several of the members of the community give you as you see them interacting with Aspen. I already have a list of who I think it might be! But as I know from our interview even though these are somewhat standalones as far as the couples go the mystery of who the killer is will be revealed at the end of the series! So needless to say she has equivocally hooked me! I’m so invested in this book and the characters I can’t wait to know more. She’s a masterfully writer and I’m addicted! Also enter the two MCs of this book Miles and Aiden wholly hotness!! Where do I sign up to move to this community! I know these two hunks are spoken for but truly there must be more!?!?!?

I really liked her take on the three of them it’s a deeply caring and loving relationship between the characters Miles and Aiden are best friends and fiercely loyal. They are kinda one and the same person each having a unique thing to bring to the relationship and then how they seamlessly love Aspen and care for her it was beautiful watching them fall in love. They are possessive and the definition of what I want in a book boyfriend! I loved the found family she’s began to create here in book one and I can’t wait to see these three as we move forward in the series and meet the other characters. I love that we have Hudson showing up from Mine to Shield. He is like my all time fave!

Favorite quotes:

“…I never want to live in black-and-white now that you’ve introduced the color that I thought was gone forever.”

“I love you, Aspen Carter. I’m in love with everything about you. Your independence, which drives me f#%^ing in$ane.”
“Your soul-healing dark eyes, adorable freckles, and open heart. You accept me, all of me, and from now on, I never want to know what it’s like not to have you in our lives.”

"I never imagined love like this—let alone with two men who won’t make me choose."

This was such a beautiful story.

Aspen put her life in Seattle behind her after finally opening her eyes to James’s machinations.

She finds herself in Anchor Bay, Alaska, a photographers dream.

Upon her arrival she meets Aiden, then his best friend Miles.

But there is something afoot happening in their community and reinforcements are called in to help them make sense of what is going on, both men and women are going missing, and they’re all concerned with how this will all play out, to keep their community safe they need answers.

Aiden is gone for Aspen, but Miles holds himself back.

In a short span of time Aiden and Miles feelings for Aspen manifest into something more. She is changing them, but more importantly they are changing her. They see her for the beautiful, strong and independent woman that she is. They both carry their own trauma, yet Aspen sees through all of that, because she loves them for who and what they are, accepts them, flaws and all. She broke down their walls and their defences, let her in, and in turn they gave her something more.

Yet, James’s presences threatens to derail the happiness that shes found in Aiden and Miles’s arms. They protect her, love her, defend her character, because they wont stand idly by and let James destroy Aspen’s self-confidence, because they know Aspen’s worth and have no compunction reminding her of her strengths and capabilities.

However, a woman from their past, Jessica, threatens to derail their happiness, which puts Aspen in harms way. Yet it’s Aspen’s strength that is a testament to putting other’s needs before her own, which only angers Aiden and Miles, because their love for her knows no bounds, yet Jubie holds a special place in all their heart’s.

That epilogue was perfect as it was bittersweet, Aspen’s dreams coming to fruition, but more importantly, with her loving men by her side does she prepare herself and them for the next step in their lives, becoming parents to their beautiful baby.

Miles definitely packs the daddy vibes and Aiden isn’t too far behind. Their insta-love burned hot and fast, cause the spice was spicing. They opened Aspen’s mind to more, taking her on a sensual journey one of exploration, fulfilling not only her needs, but their basest needs as well. Those smexy scenes were primal and carnal, but oh so hot, steamy, dirty, sinfully wicked and deliciously depraved. Aiden and Miles loved on their girl, the sexual banter and foreplay on fire, both meeting their match with their girl who loves it hard, rough and dirty, just like them.

Highly recommend both the author and the book. Looking forward to reading what this author writes next.

I received an ARC. Therefore, I am submitting a voluntary review.

Right out the gate this book grabbed my attention and literally had me stopping and rechecking the ARC sign up form, because I was concerned, I was in over my head with some dark stalker romance. While I guess it is technically that, the rest of the book isn't as grim as the first chapter. I loved though that the author does such an impeccable job at keeping you guessing who this serial stalker/unaliver is. The verbiage the cast of characters use, and the added weirdness raises your heckles over everyone. While I have my theories on who this person may be, you sadly don't find out at the end of this book which really made me mad.... but then I realized kudos to you Kennedy Mitchell, because I'm mad and now 100% going to buy and read the next book. So, 10/10 on keeping the suspense on your mind but not in the forefront of the plot- it's pure magic what the author did.

“…I never want to live in black-and-white now that you’ve introduced the color that I thought was gone forever.”

I genuinely thought I was going to dislike this book and questioned finishing it after reading the first chapter. But I am so glad I did. The relationship between Miles, Aiden and Aspen was truly magical. It wasn't your typical mmf romance. It was really special. Caring, protective, healing, loving are all words that come to mind here. Did it have some insta-love going on, yes. But that's to be expected when her original plan was to be there for only 7 days. Their first hiking trip was a good one... for everyone, if you catch my drift. The spicy scenes were on point.

The rest of the secondary characters all seem nice and like a big close-knit family, but we know there's a snake it in grass, so it had me questioning every little thing.

"I never imagined love like this—let alone with two men who won’t make me choose."

I don't want to go into too much detail here because I don't want to spoil anything or ruin the suspense. So basically, I am here to say this is a fantastic book and if you read 'unknown's' chapter and think nope this is not the book for me-like i did- keep going. I promise you'll enjoy it.

The blurb for this book caught my attention from this new to me author so I grabbed the opportunity to read an ARC and I’m so glad I did. The storyline was compelling featuring the majestic grandeur of Alaska, interesting characters and elements of suspense, drama and spice.

I loved Aspen’s independence and self-sufficient attitude - she’s more than comfortable in the outdoors and she’s determined to put her toxic work situation behind her. She’s focused doing what she wants starting with visiting Anchor’s Bay AK, a bucket list locale.

Miles and Aiden are two very sexy, best friends who are close enough to share everything. Aiden, is equally sexy, happy, sweet with plenty of mischievousness to keep things interesting. He is immediately and fiercely attracted to Aspen when he first meets her, and he recognizes her name as a photographer his bestie loves.

Miles is a grumpy, former SEAL who suffers with PTSD associated with his military service and the final mission that left him scarred and injured. He keeps himself distant from people as a means of protecting himself from emotional pain.

The easy banter between these characters allows they to quickly get comfortable and vulnerable, and had the story moving at a quick and exciting pace. The guys try to balance protecting Aspen from the danger that has been lurking and preying on women in the area while not alarming her. They also don’t want to risk the ongoing investigation into the disappearances and deaths. Their bossy, protective personalities roar to the surface anytime Aspen tries to leave their protective presence.

I’m intrigued with where this series is headed and definitely want to read more. This first book mostly focuses on the relationship of Aspen, Aiden and Mike’s while establishing the ongoing suspenseful plot involving someone abducting women from remote hiking trails and killing their male hiking partners. The author also describes remote town of Anchor’s Bay and the remote resort, The Nest.

I received a free ARC from the author and The Author Agency; and I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased review.

On my way to the resort, I draw the intense focus of two, hotter than heck, locals who decide they'll keep me safe while I photograph the adorable town.

Aiden, the sweet, mischievous joker who makes me feel loved and seen in a way I've never felt before.

The last few Why Choose books I have had have resulted in DNF's from me, so this was a breath of fresh air! The book is so well put together, and easy read but with lots of plot, spice and feels! I cannot wait to see how this story continues to play out in the coming books! Out May 16th on Kindle!

It's been a while since I read a why choose, small-town romantic suspense novel, and wow, I had forgotten how much I enjoy them! Aspen, Miles, and Aidan are such a fantastic trio. There’s that instant attraction right away, but I loved watching them slowly open up and connect on a deeper level as the story progresses. The mystery and suspense kept me guessing about who the villain was, and I was engaged until the very end.

Aspen is a talented photographer, but after being taken advantage of by a coworker, she decides to leave everything behind and head to Alaska. There, she meets the charming Aidan and the brooding Miles, both ex-military and best friends. They both feel drawn to her, but they also carry their own emotional baggage.

Aidan is a sunshine golden retriever—funny, handsome, and sweet. But he also wrestles with a heavy guilt. On the other hand, Miles is grumpy and dominant. He’s a bit of a loner who struggles with his past trauma and believes no woman would want to be with him. Aspen is smart, independent, and sassy. I adore how she knows what she wants and never gives up on going after it. She has her vulnerabilities, but with the support of Aidan and Miles, she starts to regain her confidence.

Watching the relationship between the three of them unfold was such a joy! Yes, they had that spark from the start, but they also built an emotional connection that felt real and deep. I appreciated that there were no misunderstandings between them, and it was heartwarming to see how protective both men were of Aspen without being overbearing. The sense of community in the book was wonderful, too! Seeing how everyone was protective of each other was amazing, and I can’t wait to learn more about the other characters.

Overall, this book was a delightful read, especially if you like romantic suspense and close-knit communities. The ending surprised me, and it made me eager to pick up the next book immediately!

Kennedy L. Mitchell's Forever Theirs plunges readers into a thrilling and steamy romance set against the stunning backdrop of a small Alaskan town. Seeking refuge after discovering her partner's infidelity, Aspen's hopes for peaceful solitude are immediately shattered by the ominous presence of a dangerous predator targeting women. This undercurrent of suspense propels the narrative forward, creating a compelling juxtaposition with the burgeoning connection she finds with two captivating locals.

Miles, the tattooed and intensely protective former Navy SEAL, exudes a brooding intensity that sparks an undeniable attraction. In contrast, Aiden's sweet and playful nature offers a different kind of pull, making the protagonist feel truly seen and cherished. Mitchell skillfully navigates the dynamic between these three characters as they navigate their growing feelings and the unexpected desire to share more than just friendship.

The descriptions of Alaska's breathtaking scenery add a rich layer to the story, providing a vibrant backdrop for their blossoming relationship. The "wild, passionate nights and fun days" create a palpable sense of intimacy and connection, making the protagonist's yearning for a permanent life in this newfound haven believable and heartfelt.

However, the idyllic setting is shattered when the external threat encroaches upon their burgeoning polyamorous relationship. This unexpected attack injects a high-stakes tension, forcing Miles and Aiden to step into their protective roles with fierce determination. The question of whether their combined strength and love will be enough to save the protagonist from the looming danger creates a gripping climax, leaving the reader breathlessly anticipating the final outcome. Forever Theirs delivers a captivating blend of romance, suspense, and sizzling chemistry that will leave readers eagerly turning the pages.

Forever Theirs is book one is Kennedy Mitchell’s new Anchor Bay series and it starts off with a bang.

After finding her boyfriend face deep in their editor, Aspen decides it’s time for her to get away from everyone and everything and take that trip to Alaska she’s been researching. Once arriving in Anchor Bay, she immediately finds herself loving the small scenic town. Plus the hottie that drove her to resort isn’t bad to look at either. When he asks her for a drink and to meet up with his best friend and roommate, she readily agrees. Aiden is the funny talkative one, while Miles is the dark, broody grump who has the most amazing dog ever. I have to say Jubie stole every scene she was in lol.

Having seen hints of the poly community in Anchor Bay online, she’s not surprised to find that Aiden and Miles are a part of said community. To say she is intrigued is an understatement and the relationship they embark on is nothing short of volcanic. The three have chemistry for days and the spicy scenes will make your kindle melt. I loved finding out the reason the two best friends started sharing in the first place. It made my heart melt and ache at the same time.

The story is definitely an insta-love feel, but it’s done the right way as to not just be “boom, bam I love her/him” The author definitely takes these three on a journey that doesn’t feel too rushed, but you can feel the love, protectiveness, and trust building between them. The underlying missing people case that makes appearances throughout the story definitely keeps you guessing on who the person is, and definitely has me wanting the next book in the series now lol. I have my guess, but I’ll have to wait and see.

Every.SINGLE.time I read a Kennedy L. Mitchell book I love that we are just thrust into the story and it literally pulls you in! This overarching mystery is going to be amazing because I was already pointing fingers at Anchor Bay townspeople. When Kennedy announced this series I was so excited some of my favorite things are throuples, small towns, and suspense!
Aspen Carter loves adventure but also is in need of some grounding and a place to belong. Anchor Bay had been on her radar and she impulsively made the decision to go. Being a nature photographer she has seen the most beautiful places in the world but none as special as Anchor Bay. She is drawn to the town along with Miles and Aiden. However danger lurks and somehow she's never felt safer than when she is with Miles, Aiden, and Jubie.
Aiden and Miles have been best friends for a long time, they are each other’s rock and moved to Anchor Bay where they work together, seek adventure, and also find their person. Aiden is funny, adventurous and the more laid back of the two (but not by much when it comes to Aspen)- he has had his heart stomped on but is ready to find love. Miles has a lot of trauma from his time in the military and struggles, but Aiden and Jubie make things easier. Jubie is his trusty companion and Aiden pulls him out of his shell. Together these three are perfect- they understand each other's need for adventure and a place to call home. I love the dynamic of this trio and how they so naturally fit together. If you love small towns, suspense, found family and a trouples this most definitely needs to be on your kindle ASAP! Anchor Bay Alaska has just moved its way to the very top of my list of places I need to visit and I cannot wait for more of this series!

✨ Forever Theirs by Kennedy L Mitchell ✨

⭐⭐⭐.5
🌶️🌶️🌶️

Forever Theirs follows the story of Aspen, a photographer who leaves the big city after finding her ‘significant other’ nose deep having a meal. Mind you I never really got the impression they were together. I just got the vibe that he was using her and her talent for his own benefit.

Aspen leaves and goes to a small town in Alaska where polyamory relationships are a thing. We are not knocking this. Love is love baby. Now at the beginning I was a bit confused because a lot of characters are mentioned. If this was meant to be a standalone then the other characters being so prominent is distracting or can be distracting for a reader not familiar with this town. However, I have read a few of Kennedy’s other books and love the elements of the relationships, small town vibes and the hint of mystery.

Aiden and Miles run the adventure portion of the cabin/lodge where Aspen is staying while trying to figure out what the next move is for her. Miles is the protector, the retired Navy Seal. The man you want in your corner or when you’re stranded on an island.

Aiden is soft, kind, and the best kind of friend you’d want. He is the quiet giant that commands attention without saying much. He is adventurous, optimistic and loves to ride his dirt bike. He is the perfect ying to Miles’ yang.

There isn’t really any depth to the meaty bits of the book. It felt predictable and the story really glossed over. The only reason this is not a 5 star is because I really dislike an unfinished story. & with Jasper lurking around and we still don’t know if Caroline is alive or not..

Overall a decent read but it felt like it was lacking something I cannot put my finger on

You walk in on your boyfriend cheating on you with your boss, and she has the audacity to wink at you as you back out of the room…so less than 24 hours later you’ve quit you’re job and your on a boat ride from the airport to a tiny little town in Alaska called Anchor Bay, where you hope to find yourself again while photographing the nature that you love.

That’s how Aspen finds herself in this town where everything is not always what it seems. Hikers have been going missing, some of them found 💀 but local PD doesn’t seem to be taking it seriously. And did I mention there seem to be some people around town that just set off alarm bells when you’re around them?

One bright spot to this trip is meeting Miles & Aiden. Two best friends who like to share & a sweet dog named Jubie. There is an instant attraction between Miles, Aiden, & Aspen. While Aiden is ready to immediately be all in, Miles is reserved & guarded because he can’t handle putting himself out there and being met with rejection. Aspen is so used to being alone and looking out for herself that she has a hard time grasping the “too good to be true” guys could both really want her, but that have no problem reassuring her as much as she needs. I really loved how they all managed to anticipate and actually try meet the emotional needs of each other & also have some pretty 🔥🔥🔥 moments too.

The missing hikers/serial killer/who done it mystery hasn’t been solved yet, but Kennedy drops some breadcrumbs along the way that will have your wheels turning. I may be wrong, but I’ve got a couple of theories right now at the very least 😂. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

“Aspen Carter was absolutely everything we wanted and never knew we needed.”

Forever Theirs is a captivating blend of romance and mystery, expertly woven into an unforgettable story. After discovering her boyfriend's betrayal, Aspen finds solace in the remote beauty of Anchor Bay, Alaska—a town as breathtaking as it is dangerous. There, she meets Aiden and Miles, two guides from a thriving poly community, and their instant connection changes everything. But beneath the town’s scenic charm lurks a deadly threat, placing everyone in danger.

“They were showing me how to truly experience life with someone—or someones, in this case—who truly supported you.”

The bond between Aspen, Aiden, and Miles is nothing short of beautiful. Aiden and Miles offer Aspen the safety and acceptance she craves, seeing her for the remarkable person she is. In turn, Aspen helps them confront the ghosts of their past, setting them on a path toward healing. Together, they form something truly special—an unshakable trio bound by trust, passion, and love.

“…I never want to live in black-and-white now that you’ve introduced the color that I thought was gone forever.”

While their chemistry is undeniably electric, it’s their deep conversations and unfiltered honesty that make their relationship shine. The underlying suspense adds another layer of intrigue, keeping you on edge as the mystery unfolds. With its thrilling twists and heartfelt romance, this series promises an enthralling journey, leaving you eager for the next installment.

What a great start to Mitchell's new Anchor Bay series. This first book, Forever Theirs, is an emotional, raw, suspenseful, and sizzling romance. The beginning had my heart pounding and had me on the edge wondering what was going to happen. We then meet talented nature photographer, Aspen, who is arriving in Alaska, looking for a fresh start after leaving her job and her cheating ex boyfriend. She meets Aiden, and Miles, two super hot guides who work for Uplift Adventure and Rescue. Aiden and Miles are ex SEALS and are best friends who share everything. They both are scarred and carry guilt that has them feeling unworthy of love. The three of them have an instant attraction and connection with their shared love of the outdoors and adventure and want to explore their growing feelings. Aiden and Miles are alpha protectors wanting to take care of Aspen and keep her safe. Aspen loves her independence, but loves how safe she feels with them. As they grow closer, they start to make plans for a future together. But when mysterious events are happening, will they be able to keep Aspen safe? I loved Aspen, Aiden, and Miles and cheered hard for their HEA! I loved the explosive heat, emotion and discovery between them. I also loved how Aiden and Miles helped Aspen become more confident, and how she helped them to let go of their guilt and pain to feel worthy of love and affection. Mitchell did a great job with this story, taking a tough subject and wringing out all of the emotions, from fear, and anger, to joy, love, passion, and so much more. I enjoyed meeting many of the other residents in the tight-knit community of Anchor Bay, and look forward to learning more about them. There is also more heart-pounding secrets to be uncovered and I can't wait to find out what will happen next!

She does it again! I have not read a Kennedy L Mitchell book I have not loved. I was so excited to read this new series that is kinda different but not. She takes us to a small Alaskan town of Anchor Bay, and it sounds just like somewhere I would love to live, minus the things going on.

Aiden knew the minute he saw Aspen that she was the one. Miles was a little harder to crack but it didn't take long for that happen. He was guarded due to past trauma but she slowly helped him open up and once that happened, there was no turning back. Aspen having just left the life she was stuck in back in Seattle, many would say it is crazy to just leave with no real plan. Then her dealing with her family and her mother in particular was just the tip of the ice berg for her decision. The three of them do navigate this new journey their own way and communication is key to any relationship working. Miles and Aiden also have their past that makes then guarded in a way but their brotherly bond knows no limit. They would do anything for one another and they do everything together.😉

Some may not like an Insta love story, but it all depends on the story also. This has it all for me. The grumpy one, the cute adorable one, and the independent one. But we can't forget the most important sidekick in Jubie. Sometimes I love the supporting characters. Needless to say I didn't want this to end, I need answers as we are left wondering. So if you don't like a story that is sill open, you may want to wait until the story is finished.

DNF. I’m sorry but it’s boring. it drags on and on and way too much inner thoughts.

I’m so sorry that I’m writing this as I love Kennedy L Mitchell usually but this, this was dull and boring. Aidan and Miles are best friends and also share a house and women together. When they meet Aspen who has gone to Anchor Bay for a week they know she’s the one they want. Aidan and Miles have a complicated past as they were both in the navy seals and Miles was injured really badly. Aidan feels responsible, so there’s a lot of angst. Aspen ran to Anchor Bay to get away from her ex/boss who betrayed and used her.

Meanwhile there’s a serial killer running around killing tourists, men and women alike. Though it says it’s all women, they find men as well. That part seemed exciting at first but nothing happens, and I’m well over halfway through and NOTHING has happened after the start of the book, and it’s boring. Miles and Aspen live in their heads, constantly mulling things o Ed and over. Yes I know Miles has severe ptsd, but it’s still boring. Even the sex scenes aren’t improving it as they seem almost mechanical if you know what I mean.

It’s well written as usual by this author, but it’s boring.

One last thing. I really would liked it if everyone hadn’t paired up already. It keeps talking about thruples and I thought I had missed a few books. I haven’t it’s just that they’re all already together and I think it spoils it. Also I’m not sure that I believe there’s so many threesome relationships in a tiny town of a 1000 people!
