Hello, bibliophiles! If your taste lies in deeply moving, slow-burn tales that get told through gestures rather than actions — hop on! And for my super-impatient friends who just want a quick verdict: this book is all about getting love wrong, dealing with regret, and second chances, and yes — definitely check it out. I'm so thankful that this isn't typical CEO and poor girl with big dreams background.

For my overthinkers and deep divers, let's tackle the juicy stuff, shall we? The story revolves around Dr. Ray Jennings, a brilliant neurosurgeon, and Dr. Eenakshi Kusum, a compassionate pediatrician. The background of okameet hospital. Their demanding medical careers set the perfect backdrop for a tale of love, courage, and internal conflict.

This tale revolves around these two people who were once close and are now at this pivotal point where the past claws it’s way back to the present (why wouldn’t it?). Their lives, on the other hand, have been molded by choices they graphed, words they decided to keep to themselves, and the drag of time that constantly shifts their world. And as fate starts to toy with their lives once more — ta-da! — all buried emotions resurface. The twist is: all of that does not occur in a highly dramatic style as you would expect in movies, no! It’s gradual, it’s quiet — through some truly drawn out eye contact and conversations that are filled with too much unaddressed notions.

The setting? Oh, it adds so much to the story! It’s a world of precision and control – a place where saving lives takes priority and personal emotions are pushed aside. And because life loves irony, it is in this very environment that their unresolved feelings resurrect. Every interaction between them is loaded with unspoken history, ‘

What’s even better? The story’s quiet power. No melodrama, no frenzied action — just two hearts learning, growing, and allowing themselves to hope again. It’s the kind of book that stays with you a little long after the last page, leaving you with a sense of something incomplete yet complete.

Honestly, this book is like the UPSC exam — slow, tough, emotional, makes you question certain of your life choices. But when you finally get to the end? Worth it.

So, if you’re looking for a lovely, heartfelt read that takes it’s sweet time, pick this one up. And keep tissues handy — you’re going to need them! Hahahah don't worry not alot of them.

There are books that entertain, and then there are books that make you feel. Not Your Silver is definitely the latter. V B Bonny has crafted a love story that’s so raw and genuine, it feels like you’re living it alongside the characters. Dr. Eenakshi Kusum and Dr. Ray Jennings aren’t just two people falling in love—they’re two souls learning to let someone in despite their fears.

What I loved most? The authenticity. No unnecessary drama, no forced romance—just real, human emotions. Bonny builds their connection through small moments that hit deep. A look, a pause, an unfinished sentence—somehow, they all carry so much meaning. And the way she portrays the emotional toll of being a doctor? So refreshing and real.

This book isn’t flashy, but it’s powerful. It lingers, it resonates, and it makes you rethink what love truly means. If you love slow-burn, deeply emotional stories, you need to read this one.

In this book, the author crafts a spellbinding romance infused with poetic melancholy and emotional intensity.

Dr. Eenakshi Kusum and Dr. Ray Jennings are not just lovers caught in a second-chance romance; they are two souls shaped by loss, ambition, and the weight of unspoken words.

The author’s storytelling thrives on nuance, her prose is lyrical, each sentence imbued with a quiet ache that makes the characters’ longing feel almost tangible. Their professional world, filled with high-stakes medical challenges, mirrors their internal conflicts, making the narrative feel both urgent and intimate.

Unlike conventional medical romances, this book explores deeper themes of healing, both in the physical and emotional sense.

Some books don’t just tell a story—they feel like a conversation with your own heart. Not Your Silver by V B Bonny is one of those rare finds. It is a love story, sure, but not the predictable fireworks and grand gestures kind. It is the kind that slowly unfolds, the kind that understands love is not about saving someone but seeing them completely.
Bonny, known for her delicate yet powerful storytelling, has given us something special here. This is not just about romance; it is about healing, about letting someone in even when it is terrifying, and about the quiet kind of love that does not demand attention but stays with you long after the last page.

Set in the high-stakes world of Oakmeet Hospital, the story revolves around Dr Eenakshi Kusum, a talented pediatrician with a guarded heart, and Dr Ray Jennings, a neurosurgeon who knows what it means to carry emotional baggage. They are both brilliant at what they do, both used to putting others before themselves, and both convinced that love, at least for them, is not on the table.
But fate, as it always does, has other plans.
Through shared shifts, stolen moments, and conversations that cut deeper than they realize, Eenakshi and Ray find themselves drawn to each other in a way neither expected. The book does not rush this; it lets their connection simmer, building tension and trust in a way that feels painfully real.
And honestly, that is what makes it so beautiful.

Bonny’s writing is like a well-composed melody—flowing, poetic, but never over-the-top. She does not tell you how her characters feel; she shows you through the things left unsaid, the hesitations, the stolen glances. Every word is intentional, every scene immersive.
It is the kind of storytelling that makes you pause, reread a line, and think, wow, that hit home.

Here is the thing about Eenakshi and Ray—they feel real. They are not the kind of characters who exist just to fall in love. They have their own battles, their own fears, their own pasts that refuse to let go.
Eenakshi is fiercely independent, but you can feel the weight she carries. Ray is kind, intuitive, but also hesitant, afraid of making mistakes that cannot be undone. Their chemistry is not forced; it is earned through conversations that feel natural, silences that speak louder than words, and moments of quiet understanding.
And that is what makes their relationship so compelling—you want them to find their way to each other, but you also understand why it takes time.

This is a slow burn in the best possible way. There is no instant love, no unnecessary drama, just a steady, organic build-up that makes their story feel authentic.
Every scene serves a purpose—whether it is a heart-pounding moment in the ER or a simple coffee break that somehow reveals more about them than a thousand words ever could. The pacing is deliberate, allowing the reader to truly invest in the journey rather than rush to the destination.

At its core, this book is not just about love—it is about healing. It explores trauma, resilience, and the way people build walls not because they want to be alone, but because they are afraid of being hurt again.
It also sheds light on the emotional toll of being a doctor—something romance novels rarely explore. The exhaustion, the impossible choices, the quiet moments of doubt. Bonny does not romanticize the profession; she humanizes it.

Some books make you cry. Some make you smile. And then there are books like Not Your Silver—ones that make you feel in ways you were not expecting.
There were moments in this book that hit me like a gut punch—not because they were dramatic, but because they were honest. The hesitation before saying something vulnerable. The way grief sneaks up on you in the most ordinary moments. The quiet ache of wanting someone but being too scared to reach out.
This is not the kind of book you just read and move on from. It lingers. It stays.

The characters feel like real people—you will root for them, get frustrated with them, and ultimately fall for them. The romance feels earned, not forced, with no unnecessary drama, just a deep, meaningful connection. The writing is beautifully crafted without being overly flowery, ensuring every sentence carries weight. Beyond romance, the book explores themes of healing, trauma, and self-worth with depth and care.
The slow burn may not be for everyone—if you are looking for an instant spark, this book takes its time, but trust me, it is worth it. Some secondary characters could have had more depth, as a few felt interesting but were not explored as much as I had hoped. That said, these are minor things in an otherwise stunning book.

For me, Not Your Silver was not just another love story—it was a reminder that love, at its best, is not about fixing someone. It is about understanding them. It is about standing beside them as they heal, without trying to erase their scars.

This book made me think. It made me feel. And that is the mark of something truly special.

If you are looking for a love story that is not just about romance but about human connection, this one is for you. Not Your Silver is not flashy, not over-the-top—it is real, it is heartfelt, and it is the kind of book that will stay with you long after you turn the last page.

Would I recommend it? In a heartbeat. And I cannot wait to see what Bonny writes next.

Not Your Silver is a beautifully crafted contemporary romance that delves into themes of love, emotional resilience, and the weight of the past. The story follows Dr. Eenakshi Kusum, a compassionate paediatrician who has built her life around duty but struggles with the ghosts of her past. When she crosses paths with Dr. Ray Jennings, a brilliant yet enigmatic neurosurgeon, their lives become entangled in a powerful push-and-pull dynamic. Their relationship is more than just romance—it’s a clash of suppressed emotions, longing, and the fear of confronting one’s deepest desires.

V.B. Bonny excels in layered character portrayals. Eenakshi is a strong yet vulnerable protagonist whose journey of self-discovery is both relatable and inspiring. Ray’s character, mysterious and emotionally guarded, adds an intense depth to the story. Their chemistry is palpable yet restrained, creating a tension that keeps the reader hooked. The novel doesn't just focus on romance but also highlights self-growth, breaking boundaries, and overcoming emotional barriers.

Bonny’s writing is lyrical, evocative, and deeply emotional. The narration flows seamlessly, balancing heartfelt moments with intense dialogues. The author’s ability to convey raw emotions without over-explaining makes the story immersive. The descriptions of hospital life add authenticity, making it evident that Bonny has done thorough research on the medical profession.

- Complex, well-developed protagonists with compelling backstories.
- Engaging emotional depth that explores more than just romance.
- Authentic hospital setting that adds realism to the narrative.
- Beautifully written prose that keeps the reader emotionally invested.

Not Your Silver is not just a love story—it’s an exploration of past wounds, inner conflicts, and the courage to embrace love despite fear. V.B. Bonny delivers a gripping, emotional, and deeply satisfying romance that lingers in the heart long after the last page. Fans of slow-burn romance, intense character-driven narratives, and emotionally charged storytelling will find this book a must-read.

This is not your typical love story! 'Not Your Silver' is basically the story of Enakshi Kusum and Ray Jennings and their complicated, messy, emotional love-hate relationship. The story kicks off when they're both teenagers in school and honestly, it captures that raw, awkward, emotional energy of first love so well!

At the beginning, Enakshi is this super sporty, athletic girl. She is all about sports, but not so much about academics, which her mom is not thrilled about.

Ray on the other hand is dealing with his own stuff. He lives with his aunt because his relationship with his dad is pretty strained. His mom passed away, and after that, things kind of fell apart between him and his father.

And then these two meet in school! And it's not just them, their families actually get close too! Ray's aunt and Enakshi's mother end up becoming good friends, which adds a whole new layer to everything going on.

But what I loved the most is how the story doesn't just stay stuck in their teenage years. It grows with them. You get to see Enakshi and Ray transition into adulthood, and guess what, they end up working in the same hospital!

That setup alone is enough drama and tension to keep you flipping pages.

Enakshi becomes a pediatrician and Ray becomes a neurosurgeon, which I think is super exciting if you are even a little bit into the medical world.

But what really stood out to me was how the author handled emotions. It is not butterflies and rainbows. Ray struggles with confused emotions about loving Enakshi, and Enakshi herself goes through this whole emotional rollercoaster trying to balance her feelings, her family expectations, her career which is so real and relatable

The writing is so easy to read, like those books where you just fall into the story without even realising you have read 100 pages!

If you are looking for a love story that is not just cheesy romance, but actually dives into unexpressed emotions, family dynamics, career pressures and just the messiness of real relationships... I highly recommend this book.

𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰: 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐒𝐈𝐋𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐛𝐲 𝐕.𝐁. 𝐁𝐎𝐍𝐍𝐘.

🍷 V.B. Bonny’s 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫 is not only just a love story but it is also a deeply poignant exploration of the wounds we carry, the love we deny ourselves, and the resilience of the human spirit.

🍷This story centers around 𝐃𝐫. 𝐄𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐢 𝐊𝐮𝐬𝐮𝐦, 𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐚𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐧 - her profession shaped her life but not her traumatic experiences and sufferings. Her unfulfilled desires mark her life story and make her a negative character towards her love life. She's actually wants to let go her desires.

🍷Here comes a romantic scenario with the arrival of 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐚𝐲 𝐉𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬, 𝐚 𝐠𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐲𝐞𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐨𝐧. He has his own scars to hide from the world. 𝐎𝐚𝐤𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦! They're connected - everyone can feel that! The longing, the trauna, the shadows of their pasts were unfolding layers after layers in front of their eyes.

🍷What follows is not a whirlwind romance but a slow-burning, intricate dance of two souls who must confront their pasts before they can step into a shared future. She doesn’t just tell a story; she paints emotions with words, creating a landscape of love that is both raw and exquisitely tender. Their chemistry is beautifully crafted through 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧 𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬, 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐞𝐭 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬, and 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐯𝐮𝐥𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 of two people afraid to fall but 𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭.

🍷What is interesting - Bonny gives us characters that are 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜 - 𝐟𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐞𝐝, 𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐭, but always real. For those who seek an emotionally immersive read—one that breaks and mends in equal measure—this novel is an unforgettable journey. This book reminds me that love is not about possession but about understanding, acceptance, and resilience.

🍷 𝐒𝐨 𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐚 𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐰𝐢𝐥 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥!

'Not your silver' is a perfect whimsical romantic love tale that mixes all thw humanly emotions- passion, loyalty, need for recognition and insecurity. I felt myself transported into their splendid world of unspoken love. The tension, intensity of their budding love and strained relationship are all palpable through the riveting words of the author. I was sweeped by the elite poetic verses which are used to express the inner turmoil of the characters. The majestic verses inkled with a tint of gloom fully captures the attention of the readers. Therefore, I call this novel a 'poetic love tale'.

Eenakshi and her rebellious teenage years makes her a tough character, much in contrast to the typical heroins. Ray on the otherhand is an ever-charming prince, who could lure anyone with his single glance. Her need for recognition and appreciation makes her look stubborn, as she never wants to be someone's second option or silver. She deserves no lesser than 'gold'.Again Norris, Flyod and Ava makes their own huge impact with their distinguished presence. Though this is more of a real-life love story, it enchants us with its gentle outward sheath of fantasy. Inorder for an airy, breezy romance to happen, some elements of coincidence and wonders must be present. Eena's accident and Ray's unexpected entrance is one such coincidential element.

Further, it takes the route of a gripping triangle love story, with Ava and Floyd. I am made to ponder much over the character, Eana's mother who single handedly raises her daughter in a foreign country. Finally, when the true love and genuine expressions get validated, Dr. Eanakshi and Dr. Ray unites in the end making the readers jump in joy.

Poetical, intense and whimsical love story. An exciting read!!

Not Your Silver written by V.B. Bonny is a well crafted novel that explores the complexities of love, resilience, and human relationships through the lives of Dr. Eenakshi Kusum and Dr. Ray Jennings.

The story revolves around Eenakshi, a dedicated pediatrician, and Ray, a brilliant neurosurgeon, who find themselves drawn to each other despite their complicated pasts. The author weaves their narrative, exploring themes of passion, inner conflict, and unspoken longing. The characters' emotional journeys are deeply felt, making their pain and passion palpable ¹.

Eenakshi and Ray are complex characters with rich inner lives. Eenakshi is a symbol of resilience, striving to break free from the mold she's been forced into, while Ray battles his own ghosts, hesitant to let someone in. Their chemistry is undeniable, but their emotional journey is even more profound ¹.

The writing style is elegant and evocative. The story unfolds with a slow burn, allowing the tension between Eenakshi and Ray to build naturally. Every moment of hesitation, every stolen glance, and every unspoken word feels impactful.

The novel explores themes of love, resilience, and self-discovery, delving into the complexities of human relationships. It's a story about healing, about letting someone in even when it's terrifying, and about the quiet kind of love that stays with you long after the last page

“Not Your Silver” by V. B. Bonny is an emotionally charged medical romance that completely pulled me in. This isn't just a love story—it’s a beautifully written journey of heartbreak, healing, and second chances.

The story follows Dr. Eenakshi Kusum, a dedicated pediatrician, and Dr. Ray Jennings, a reserved yet brilliant neurosurgeon. Their paths intertwine once again, bringing back emotions they both thought they had buried. The tension between them is electric, filled with unsaid words and lingering feelings that make every moment between them intense and deeply emotional.

What really stood out to me was how Bonny blends raw emotions with poetic storytelling. Her writing isn’t just about romance—it explores pain, longing, and personal growth in a way that feels incredibly real. The hospital setting adds another layer to the story, making their struggles feel even more compelling.

One of my favorite things about this book is how it portrays love—not just as passion but as something fragile, complicated, and worth fighting for. The characters aren’t perfect, but that’s what makes them feel real. Their journey is messy, filled with doubts and unresolved emotions, but that’s what makes it so powerful.

If you love stories that make you feel—the kind that stays with you long after you turn the last page—then Not Your Silver is definitely worth reading. It’s beautifully written, deeply moving, and a reminder that love, no matter how broken, always has a chance to heal.

Some books are simply love stories. Not Your Silver is an experience. From the moment I started reading, I knew this was not going to be just another romance—it was going to be something that left me feeling everything at once.

Dr. Eenakshi Kusum and Dr. Ray Jennings are flawed, beautifully broken, and deeply human. Their journey is filled with longing, misunderstandings, and the weight of unspoken emotions. What struck me the most was how their struggles weren’t just about love, but about life—about carrying past scars, about professional responsibilities that don’t always align with personal desires, and about finding the courage to embrace what truly matters.

What sets this book apart is V.B. Bonny’s writing. It’s poetic, immersive, and incredibly evocative. I found myself pausing at certain lines, just to soak in their depth. The emotions in this book aren’t just written; they are felt. Every moment of hesitation, every touch laced with history, every stolen glance filled with regret—it all comes alive on the page.

As I turned the last page, I realized this wasn’t just a story of love—it was a story of healing, of finding clarity amidst the chaos, and of understanding that sometimes, second chances don’t come easy, but they are always worth fighting for. This book reminded me why I love reading romance—not for the happily ever after, but for the journey that makes it all worthwhile.

I've read a poetry book by the author previously and i absolutely loved it. The narrative unfolds at a steady rhythm, allowing readers to fully absorb the intricate details while remaining engrossed in the story. The characters are so well developed, making the emotions feel real - it felt as if I'm watching a movie. What makes this book stand out is how the story has been set against the backdrop of a hospital, skillfully throwing light on their responsibilities, ambition and career. What do you think happens next ?? The pace is well maintained, allowing readers enough time to read at their own speed. Not Your Silver is a breathtakingly emotional medical romance that left me deeply moved. V.B. Bonny weaves a story that goes beyond the usual love story, diving into the raw intensity of longing, heartbreak, and second chances.

"Not Your Silver" by V.B. Bonny is a love story about two doctors, Eenakshi and Ray. They both have painful pasts that make it hard for them to trust love again.

Dr. Eenakshi is kind and caring, always helping children as a pediatrician. Dr. Ray is a brilliant neurosurgeon but carries a lot of pain inside him. When they meet, there is a strong connection between them, but their love story is not easy. They face misunderstandings, jealousy, and heartbreak. Sometimes, they push each other away, afraid of getting hurt.

The author beautifully shows how love is not just about passion but also about patience, forgiveness, and growth. The characters feel real, with flaws and emotions that many readers can relate to. Their journey teaches that healing takes time and that sometimes, love finds a way even after years of pain.

Two people, once close, now stand at a crossroads where the past refuses to stay buried. Their lives have been shaped by choices, by words left unsaid, by the weight of time pulling them in different directions. When fate brings them back together, old emotions resurface—not in an instant, but slowly, through glances that last too long and conversations that say more in silence than in words.

The setting adds another layer to their story. In a world of precision and control, where saving lives is the priority, personal emotions become harder to ignore. Every interaction carries unspoken history, every moment feels like a step toward something fragile yet inevitable.

The beauty of this story lies in its quiet intensity. There’s no rush, no forced drama—just two hearts learning, hesitating, and daring to hope again. It lingers long after the last page, leaving behind a sense of something unfinished yet whole.

Review :
"Not Your Silver" by V. B. Bonny is a contemporary slow-burn romance. The story revolves around Dr. Eenakshi Kusum and Dr. Ray Jennings, in the backdrop of Oakmeet Hospital. Both with their past, try to navigate their world and find each other in this rollercoaster journey.

The story is emotional till the very end, you cannot be able to guess where it is going. The plot is highly engaging, the characters are well developed and relatable, with their sense of duty, sacrifice, and resilience.

The characters first meet and fall in love in their school time. But later, all the things that happen to them are a tale you need to understand. I enjoy the story; at times I feel frustrated, but somehow I understand them and the concept of the right person, wrong circumstances. Conclusively, it is a good read.
