Someone is out to destroy Mitchell Roth’s life—but not if he ends theirs first.A too-fortuitous trade of a pharmaceutical stock has landed Mitchell Roth in SEC custody, accused of a litany of sins. Wife and friends turned against him, only SEC investigator Barrett Johnson believes Mitchell innocent.
The target of a vast conspiracy with threads tracing across the globe.
With Mitchell out on bail, the two men dig into the case, discovering that the pharma company whose stock he purchased is about to release a revolutionary cancer drug that does the exact opposite of cure people.
It’ll kill millions, and with the focus on Mitchell, no one will find the real profiteers, some of whom are at the highest levels of government.
That’s something Mitchell can’t stomach. Together with Barret and a shadowy figure known as the Hangman, he’ll take down the conspirators and get his life back.
The premise and story are solid, however the dialog is way too direct and much of the story is one-dimensional. While I think the narration style fit the writing, it didn't help the book. Good base.
A really well written tale with lots of explanations as regards finance. Really good characters with an amazing plot. A few twists thrown in for good measure
Murder. Fraud. Sadism. Stock manipulation. Corrupt officials. High finance. High living and low conspiracies. Well written, intricately plotted, and unforgiving
