No Other #2

No Other Woman

Rate this book
The Highland night torments Lady Shawna MacGinnis with haunting dreams. The stunning Scottish lass can never forget it was she who, in the cause of clan loyalty, seduced David Douglas of Castle Rock -and she who, in the heat of passion, inadvertently lured the handsome laird to his death.

And now surely madness has claimed her, for David Douglas has returned, a hardened, bitter spirit -slipping like a ghost into Shawna's chamber, using stealth he learned among his brother's people, the native warriors of America's West. For David is determined to reclaim his birthright and wreak vengeance on his betrayers. But as he sets out to make Shawna pay -with her body, her soul- he discovers there is no other woman but she who can truly bring him back to life again.

SERIE NO OTHER vol. 2

David è determinato, forte e dolce allo stesso tempo.

This installment was not as good as the other ones.
There was no angst past the second encounter between the Hero and heroine.
What this whole book was ... was a mystery. Like Sherlock Holmes. Who's been creating all these tap tap tapping sounds. Who kidnapped Sabrina?
This was more like a solve a mystery type of book, instead of a romance.
So this did not do it for me.

3.5 stars. I liked the characters and enjoyed the mystery aspect of it the most. The end in which we find out all in my opinion was a little hokey.... Still worth a read. This one in it’s style reminded me a little of her book Emerald Embrace. I liked this, but not enough to go back and read either book 1 or on to book 3. Maybe in the future.

This is the second of a three book series. It takes place in Scotland in the Fall of 1875 and it's just as good as the first book! The Native American thread continues, but one of the main characters is Sioux w/a Scots father, thus the Scotland setting for the 2nd book. Not giving away anymore, except to say that I am now into the 3rd book, and can hardly leave it alone! I highly recommend this series to anyone who likes Historical Romance...this book has a good bit of suspense as well....loved it!!!

Honestly, after loving the first book in the series, this one was rather a let down. The plot was flimsy, at best. Hoping I’ll love the third in the series as much as I did the first!

Weird plot that didn't really hold my interest. Also, too many people in the book which detracts from the storyline of the main characters.

It’s all right, wasn’t as good as the first book took me a little bit longer to get through it story line dragged a little bit. I know it was an older book, but it’s OK for what it was.

To say I loved this book would be an understatement.
It was thrilling, intriguing and contained enough twists and turns to keep me engaged at all points.
I find that it was indeed a MASTERPIECE.
I cannot recommend this book enough!

DNF. Boring and convoluted. Worst of the trilogy. The one to skip. It will cause no confusion to jump from book 1 to book 3.

Very melodramatic but I still enjoyed it and wanted to find out all the details even though I had guessed a lot of them before the end. Enjoyable read even though very improbable story.
