In een Nederlandse vertaling geprobeerd te lezen maar op pagina 147 afgehaakt. Het onderwerp leek me erg interessant maar ik kwam niet door de beschrijvingen over alle decadentie heen.. Ook kon ik me niet met de personages identificeren. Ik ga nu ‘De berg van Licht’ van Couperus lezen over hetzelfde onderwerp.
