I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. The "cookbook" format of this book allowed me to read only what pertained to me in an interesting manor. I would highly recommend this book to any of my brass playing cohorts, chiefly due to the fact that it is written by a plethora of notable players in both the classical and jazz setting. I especially appreciated the segment written by Wycliffe Gordon on the theory of improvising based on listening and singing skills. This book has, and pardon the pun, the "recipe for success".
