I LOVED IT! This is the Nichole Rose I wish we had regularly!
This is the story of Bastian, a workaholic, serious, no nonsense, obsessed, brooding, intense, clueless about women (just how I like my heroes), who is so lost as to how to claim his Goddess, Constance. Constance, is pure sunshine with a side of brattiness that makes our hero's heart beat faster and his cock harden to steel. She is feisty, sweet, and loves to push his buttons, but she is also scared of giving into a relationship with Bastian, because she is afraid it will go sour. She is afraid of losing her job, her friends (the friendship she has with the other characters in the book is incredibly sweet), so she is afraid to lose them and most of all, she is terrified of losing Bastian. So she resists admitting that she is in love and therefore not ready to tell him.
Bastian loves control, and she longs to be taken in his arms to do what he wishes with her, which is to worship her one minute, only to bend her over his desk in desperate need to bring her pleasure the next followed by sweet and funny pillow talk. There is one thing that makes this a sort of forbidden romance, and it's that Bastian is her boss. They have been secretly and silently head over heels in love with each other for 3 long months until he overhears her telling a man that she loves him! WORRY NOT! She was telling her brother that, but a jealous Bastian doesn't know that, so he makes up a meeting to have dinner with her. He has no idea how to approach her and claim her, but he is a man built to conquer. The prize? The only woman that has made his heart beat and his cock hard.
A few more things happen, especially sex. These two have lots of sex and it was very welcomed! I believed these two were in love since the book started, which made the sex scenes heartfelt and erotic. To them both, it isn't just rubbing bodies together to climax. Sex means something meaningful and that is the magic I longed for in this book, the magic I long for in romance. Nichole Rose has a penchant for writing sex scenes which read as cheap, cold, unfeeling one night stands, but this time she put romance, passion and heat in the sex scenes that can only be felt when two people in love join in the most intimate of ways. When our hero says how meaningful it is that he waited to experience sex with the only person that earned his heart, body, and soul, it just made my hopelessly romantic heart happy. I still have a grin across my face. This is my favorite in the series. It is lighter in tone, with humor that lands. It was witty and funny with the right amount of drama that didn't make me feel angst. Just the right balance.
If I had to knit pick (and it is not a big deal, it just made me frown a bit) is that Constance in her inner monologue said she had kissed before when she was in college and compared the past kisses with how Bastian made her feel when he kissed her. I don't care to know that, because I don't want to imagine either sharing a tender, intimate moment with others in the past. Just a preference of mine.
I urge you to read it! I will reread this again for sure! I am looking forward to Tristan and Chloe, childhood friends, so a dual v-card couple to complete a dual v-card series! I just wish that Nichole Rose regularly gave us DV couples. *sigh* I can still hope.

You know, as usual, Insta-love and dual V! And no complaints here. 🤭

Bastian and Constance have been introduced in book 1. She's his assistant, and in the present time, she's been working with him for the last three months. It was love at first sight for him; I can't remember if that's the same case for her. Anyway, these two love to push each other's buttons, and I think that's why they're perfect for each other.

Anyway, moving on to the part where they finally gave in to the attraction. Bastian overheard Constance talking on the phone, making plans to meet up with someone. Add in the fact that when she ended the call, she told the other person on the line, “I love you.” So he jumped to the conclusion that she was planning to meet a man. Well, yeah, she was, but it was her brother. 😅

The thought made him jealous and, in a way, made him pull his head out of his ass. So he lied that they had a meeting that night just so she wouldn’t be able to meet with her “date”. 😂 And let's just say that night somehow changed mostly in their dynamics.

This was cutesy for the most part, but then the last 30%-ish made me roll my eyes so hard because, man, miscommunication! Never a fan of that. 🤷‍♀️ That said, had these two only talked and not just with their bodies, things would've been resolved so much faster. But nope, they just went along with their own assumptions. Then again, if they had just communicated like a regular couple in a healthy relationship, this story would have been a lot shorter than it is now.

Still, aside from the tiny bit of frustration caused by the last part, the story was overall pretty enjoyable for me. There are just a lot of characters to keep track of, but I’m not really bothered about them at this point. I'd focus on them when their books are released. 😂

Holy heck this was such a fun and entertaining read in ths series🤣 Constance and Bastian were awesome together and they lived to annoy each other. Constance is the new social media manager for the family's vineyard and when Bastian sees her, he instantly falls for her (she too). But of them think the other one kinda despises them. everyone sees that they are hot for each other, but these two are kind of blind. But sparks fly and in the end they can't resist each other anymore. Instalove, boss/employee , funny banter, fun to read, sweet, romantic and totally safe (yeah these two were virgins too😏) with an awesome HEA and no drama😍😍😍😍😍 Can't wait for the next couple to get their HEA 😊

A lot of miscommunication between them because neither of them wants to tell the other how they are feeling. But the lack of communication only becomes a problem toward the end, when he’s trying to make a grand gesture, and she thinks he’s firing her.

OMG!!! WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice read, a little longer than I usually read but so worth it.

Bastian mets Constance when his cousins hire her to be their social media manager. So Constance works under Bastian. Things get heated between Bastian and Constance on a daily basis, she wants to strangle him with his own tie. Bastian wants Constance, so when he overhears her talking on the phone he tells her they have a meeting . Constance mets up with Bastian later that night and finds out there was no meeting he lied to her. Constance storms out of the restaurant and he follows after her. Bastian then kisses Constance, and slips his hand under her dress. When Bastian finds out Constance is wearing spanks he tells her she doesn't need them. Bastian's finds out that Constance is a virgin so he takes her to his home. When Bastian gets Constance to his home he wants her to submit to him, but she's never done any of this before. Constance finds out that this is Bastian's first time as well and that he saved himself for someone special. Bastian's and Constance make love through out the night. Constance tries to sneak out the next morning and Bastian's catches her, she tells him she needs to turn in her resignation. Bastian wants to know why she wants to quit. Constance lets Bastian know she can't be sleeping with her boss, and that she has everything to loose if they don't work out. Bastian tries to assure Constance that he has no intentions of breaking up with her. Bastian has a meeting with one of his cousins in the afternoon and Constance asks him to take lots of pictures for their social media page. When they get back Bastian is told he's going to karaoke by his cousin OliverA Blushing Bride for Christmas because his wife Lucy seen Constance sneaking out of his house for several mornings. Constance doesn't want to go to karaoke night but Bastian convinces her that her cousin's love her. Bastian dances with Constance when he sees another man eyeing her. When Bastian takes Constance back to his home he tells her they need to have dinner with his parents Her Alpha Daddy Next Door. Constance thinks Bastian doesn't want her to have dinner with his parents, but he does its just what his mom will say to her. When Bastian gets Constance back to his home she tells him they need to talk. Constance wants to tell Bastian that she's in love with him, but if something happens between the two of them and she has to leave her job it'll ruin her. Constance doesn't want to tell Bastian she's in love with him, because she's could lose everything. When Bastian get to work the next day he tries to think of a way Constance can stay with the winery but he not be her boss. When Bastian arrives he finds Trystan Absinthe Dreams in his office. Bastian thinks that maybe instead of him holding it all in he needs someone to talk to, so he talks to his cousin. Bastian soon realizes he needs to gift Constance his stake the winery and give her another job. Bastian talks to his cousin Haven to put Constance's job listing up. Bastian goes to talk to his Aunts, Uncles and Cousins to make it work, everyone gives their approval. Constance comes into the office and finds out that Bastian is firing her, she was suppose to met with him, now she knows why he didn't show up. Constance is told by Haven that Bastian wants to give her another job, but she's not so sure about that. Constance goes to leave she's suppose to be heading to see her brother and sister in law Piped Down in Los Angeles. Bastian catches up with Constance and wants to know what's wrong. Constance tells Bastian he could have told her he was firing her. Constance tells Bastian to let her go, she needs to leave. Bastian tells Constance that he doesn't want her to leave, but she tells him she has to go. When Bastian goes back to his office he doesn't know what to do. Bastian cousin Haven tells him he needs to fix this, but he still needs to talk to his uncles. Bastian's cousin Jax calls his dad Her Alpha Protector and finds out they're all for him giving his shares to Constance. Bastian also finds out his Uncle Trevor Her Alpha's Secret Baby and uncle Nathan Her Alpha Boss Undercover all agree for his to give his shares to Constance. So Bastian heads home to figure out how to get Constance back. When Bastian's phone rings he thinks it's Constance but it's her brother, Caleb. Bastian finds out that Constance is in tears and tries to explain to her brother what happened. Bastian gets the address where Constance is staying with her brother. Bastian drives all night to Los Angeles until he's walking up the front porch to met Constance's brother. While Bastian is talking to Caleb Constance overhears him and tells him they need to talk. Bastian explains to Constance that he is giving her his share of the winery and he won't be her boss. Bastian tells Constance she'll have her own job with her own title. Constance tells Bastian they could have found another way he didn't have to give up his winery. Bastian tells Constance he wanted to give her something and he'll still run the winery. Bastian tells Constance he loves her and will marry her. Constance tells Bastian he didn't asks her, but he tells her he's not stupid, they are getting married. Three weeks later, Constance wants to hire Gideon Snow only because she's seen the way he looks at Haven. Bastian doesn't want Constance to hire Gideon because he seen him looking at his wife. Five years later, Bastian had a meeting Haven set up with his cousin's Ridley, Jareth, Jax, Gabe, Oliver, Jace, and Trystan. Bastian is trying to hide from them and goes to Constance's office. Constance is eight months pregnant with their daughter. Constance has work to do and doesn't have time for Bastian so she tells him she needs to pee, then she sends a group message that Bastian is hiding in her office. Bastian is still a pain in the ass to everyone but he's soft to Constance and their babies. Constance lives for making Bastian's life difficult.

Ok I’ll say it the book annoyed the ever loving shit out of me. There was ZERO communication between the MCs unless it involved getting naked. They acted like children, but magically all their internal monologues were mature and profound, ugh 😩 drives me crazy. Swear to baby Jesus find another synonym for growl EVERY male character in this book growl for fucks sakes, almost started to wonder if this was a wolf shifter book. Only made it to chapter two before I had to call BS. The MMC blathers on and on about how he wants the FMC but can’t do anything about it because he is her boss. FYI the Boss thing is even brought up multiple times in the epilogue 5 years later, this author just couldn’t let it go. Sorry but that dog just don’t hunt, especially when one of his Uncle’s married the vineyard manager in his book. So there isn’t a world I believe that this family would operate under the employees are a no fly zone. We get it the MMC is a broody asshole, but did it got way overplayed. By 45% I was over it and trying to decide if there was really enough plot line to make trudging through his obnoxious personality, and honestly it wasn’t but I soldiered on any way. How old are these characters 25, 47, 38, who freaking knows. I was hard pressed to believe he was a grown ass mature man when the MMC took the FMC into a men’s bathroom at a club and banged her against the door. All I could think about during that scene was how dirty and smelly it must be in that bathroom, so gross 🤢. To add insult to injury during one of their many romps at the office he comes on her face intentionally and she all yay I love it when he does that, be so for real right now, what grown adult woman wants that shit done to her at work 🤦‍♀️At 65% they are still acting like glorified fuck buddies, yeah super romantic romance here. The FMC has gone to diner at his parents and still doesn’t consider them in a relationship, and her response is always we work together you’re my boss. Even the MMC says stuff like “I told you before, your job doesn't depend on you sleeping with me, Constance.” See nothing more than fuck buddies. The big climactic third act break could have been seen from outer space. The MMCs solution is to give all his shares to her so he was not her boss anymore, umm hey scooter that makes her your boss now, so what did we actually solve, also if everyone in the family has shares then he theoretically isn’t her boss everyone is, but that didn’t fit the theme I guess. Overall, the book was an obnoxious disappointment.

Bourbon Wishes delivers Bastian's story and we finally get to see underneath his workaholic persona and see the dirty, obsessed alpha male thats been hiding (and boy is he worth the wait).

The woman to bring him to his knees is non other than the loved by the entire family (himself included) Social Media Manager Constance. She's headstrong, smart, and more than willing to stand up to Bastian no matter what the issue.

The sexual chemistry between the two is hot from the first page, it's not a matter of will they won't they, it's a when will Bastian loose all control and finally take what he's been wanting the past three months.

I was hooked from the start and Bourbon Wishes hasn't disappointed. Nichole has delivered the perfect mix of steam and banter that will have you glued to the very end.

I’m so excited to share about "Bourbon Wishes," the third book in the Wine Country Alphas series! It features Bastian and Constance, who are the ultimate example of opposites attracting—they’re just meant for each other! Bastian is a dedicated workaholic running the winery, and he can’t seem to get Constance, the social media manager, out of his mind.

Even though Constance tries not to think about her handsome boss, she can’t help but enjoy their daily banter and challenges. Things really heat up when Bastian overhears her talking on the phone and wonders if she might be seeing someone else. That’s when he decides to finally make his move! This series just keeps getting better, and I’m completely hooked! Author Nichole Rose has a knack for creating amazing characters that draw you in. Each story is a standalone instalove featuring different couples, all connected in this wonderful world she’s created.

This story is another testament to the amazing writing of Nichole Rose. Bastian and Constance have such a dynamic relationship. Bastian is in charge of his family’s business and keeps such tight control of it; everyone in his family thinks he has a stick up his that causes him to be so rigid, along with making the business his sole focus. Constance is the family’s answer to this, and as their social media manager, she is around to push all his buttons regularly. The workplace relationship that results, with the interference and presence of his family around them, leads to hilarity and sass.

You learn a little more about the family business, and why Bastian is such a stickler in how he manages things. I love the world building this series has created, as it brought back first-generation characters I came to love from the Her Alpha series, and the family members who have been around through all the stories in this series have been great to watch and learn more about them. There are several twists you don’t expect, especially as they try to figure out how to move from a workplace relationship to an equal relationship, where they can build a partnership versus a boss-to-employee relationship.

Nichole Rose has added another incredible story to this series and this family. I’m looking forward to any others she writes with this family, as she keeps weaving such unique stories for each family member she brings further to life in these stories.

I read it in KU… and ended buying it. Why? Because it has all the things I love in a book I want to re-read. An OTT alpha, crazy for his woman from the start, jealous and possessive in a ridiculous way, a hardworking boss but caring for his family and employees, an obsessed man of his girl. And above all… a dual virgins couple!!!!! Yeeeessssss!!!! Each and other’s first. How I love it. Therefore, 5 stars.

Everyone loves her in the company, especially his family. They even defend her before their kin, the boss. She is really strong and tough. She isn’t afraid of answering back and giving as much as she takes. I love it. They truly are made for each other.

Yes, he angried me when he didn’t talk to her in time and she misunderstood, making her super sad. But he went after her (encouraged by her brother too, but… how was he going to know where she was?) and explained with a sorry heart, something she hadn’t seen in him.

Just give me more Bastians please!! Hoping the rest of the Heroes in this series are also Vs.

“Bourbon Wishes” is the third book in Nichole Rose’s Wine Country Alpha’s series of interconnected standalone novellas.

In this opposites attract, workplace romance revolving around Bastian, the grumpy, workaholic, alpha MMC who runs his family vineyard; you will also meet Constance, the vineyard’s bubbly, much loved social media manager & resident temptation to Bastian.

Three months into Constance’s employment & Bastian is at a breaking point. He is consumed with indecent thoughts featuring his enticing social media manager, but can’t do anything about it, since she’s his employee. Not to mention his entire extended family has threatened to collectively end him up if he runs Constance off. Meanwhile, Constance can’t help but push every one of Bastian’s buttons all while day dreaming about, well everything to do with her sexy, grumpy, infuriating boss.

After overhearing a phone call between Constance & her brother planning to meet & assuming Constance is in fact meeting a date, Bastian orchestrates a “work dinner” that winds up being the catalyst that drives Bastian & Constance to kick things off. Beginning with some parking lot friskiness & including all the smoking hot dirty talk you could want Bastian & Constance’s connection quickly becomes undeniable & extremely satisfying.

As always with a Nichole Rose book you can expect fabulously well developed character & plot all in a spicy little package.

This is the 3rd book in the Wine Country Alphas series featuring Bastian and Constance's sweet and steamy grumpy/sunshine, opposites attract, workplace romance. Bastian runs the family vineyard business and he's a rigid control freak whose only focus is the business. Then his cousins hire Constance to be the social media manager for the vineyard and the gorgeous ray of sunshine pushes all of Bastian's buttons. Constance is excited about her job at the vineyard until she meets her handsome new nightmare of a boss Bastian. He's a total control freak and Constance has never been one to follow orders. When they banter and challenge each other you can see the sparks fly between them since their chemistry is so intense. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this sweet and steamy grumpy/ sunshine, opposites attract, workplace romance to see what happens. I would definitely recommend reading this book and I'm looking forward to the next book in this wonderful series.

Ok. I've been anticipating Bastian's book since the start. He was so grumpy. I had to have it! 😂 And man, Nichole delivered. We are in the thick of the grump when the story starts. Constance has been working for him for 3 months and he's going bonkers. She tests his strength and resolve. Every day he has to see her in all of her sassy glory and it's a losing battle. But he's not alone in the torture. She wants him just as much. Things are beyond complicated. It definitely reminded me of Nathan and Brooke. Something bad to give for them to have a real, fulfilling relationship. I usually don't like miscommunication, but Nichole always makes it so it doesn't annoy me. That takes talent. And really, we aren't perfect and miscommunication makes it more realistic. I absolutely loved these two. They fit so well. I love seeing the kids find love and I also really love seeing the parents again. Swoon.

They just don’t admit it to each other. They rile each other up on purpose just to get a reaction and it is so much fun!! Especially when it doesn’t stop (even in the epilogue).

This is book number 3 of the Wine Country Alphas and focuses on Bastian and Constance. Bastian is the big boss of the family’s vineyard and has tight control of the business reins. He is what everyone would consider to be decisive and controlled by nature but that all goes out the window when Constance is hired as the social media manager for his family’s vineyard. He immediately falls for her but it takes three months for his control to finally break and go after her. Once he goes after her, Bastian goes full steam ahead and doesn’t allow anything to get in his way of making Constance his forever. I absolutely love how Constance does her absolute best to test Bastian’s limits and his control on the regular! This was a great story and a great addition to the series.

These men are just like their dads, and I’ve loved every steamy minute of it!! I’ve been looking forward to Bastian’s book because I just knew he would be OTT dominant and that need for control. He was that and so much more, and I adored how Constance challenged him and brought a little chaos to his life. This one was steamy and kinky and pulled from aspects of all the first generation couples. I’m not a huge fan of miscommunication, but I did appreciate how Constance was emotionally mature enough to work it out in her head once removed from the situation. Loved this family since their parents, and the kids are even better! No cheating or OM/OW drama, double virgins, small third act breakup, dual POV, HEA and an epilogue 5 years in the future. I cannot wait for Trystan’s book, and why is poor Haven always the bearer of bad news?!

Bastian is known for being grumpy and demanding when it comes to running his family’s vineyard but that is because he is so invested in ensuring its success. He has also been trying to deny his immense attraction to Constance, an employee, until it reaches a breaking point and he will do whatever is necessary to keep her in his life.

Constance loves her job and the friendships she has built while working at the winery and doesn’t want anything to jeopardize it. She believes that if things don’t work out with Bastian she will be the one who loses everything as she finds her heart battling with her head.

The heat between them is electric, the banter between them is humorous and Constance’s feisty personality is the perfect match for Bastian who will do whatever is necessary to ensure she achieves all her dreams as long as they include them.

Let’s be real… this book had me on my knees. 🥵🍷

“Bourbon Wishes” is the perfect blend of vineyard vibes, boardroom tension, and downright delicious chemistry. Bastian is the kind of grumpy control freak who makes you want to both roll your eyes and melt on the spot—smooth as bourbon, sharp as glass. Constance? She’s sunshine wrapped in sass and knows exactly how to push his buttons… usually while looking way too good doing it.

Their dynamic? Fire and friction. Every page hums with that delicious “we really shouldn’t, but we’re definitely going to” energy. There’s banter, there’s steam, and there’s just enough heart to make you swoon between the chaos.

I came for the vineyard drama and stayed for the desk scenes. 👀
Now excuse me while I go fan myself and check if this author has more boss-meets-sunshine stories up for grabs...

This was such a fun read with another couple that is uniquely perfect for each other! I loved that Constance was always keeping Bastian on his toes, and shocker (or not) the man loves every second of the hard time she gave him. If you’re wanting a romance where the man was wrapped around the love interests finger before she even realized it, then I’d recommend you snatch this book up! It doesn’t hurt that when the men in this family fall in love they’re basically pushovers for anything their significant other desires. Love that!

The romance was amazing, so steamy, and I adored the entire second generation of this family all interacting and teasing each other about their love lives. This family is one of my favs, and I honestly would be okay with it never ending.

Constance has been there three months. She thinks Bastian is a perpetual grump. It infuriates her that she likes that he is hot and demanding. He is a control freak who never breaks the rules. She classifies herself as curvy and she likes to be comfortable. She has a sassy mouth and attitude and likes trying to push Bastian’s buttons.

I loved that Constance had Bastian in a tizzy from the day she started. He is always in control but not when she is around. He hates himself for constantly thinking about her as more than an employee.

I was just waiting for Constance to push Bastian over the edge. Fun story.

The book was very fast paced. Is mainly all smut and barely plot. I feel like this is the second part of a book where they get together. I missed how their relationship developed and how they fell for eachother. Also three months is very short to have it so bad for the other. All the more reason why I needed to read that part
The misunderstanding at the end was really not needed, this book didn’t really need any drama anyway.

Also there are a lot of characters briefly mentioned and making short appearances. I know it’s supposed to show that it is a big family, but it adds very little to the story.

Bastian and Constance were first introduced in book one. She’s been his assistant for three months, and while their button-pushing banter makes them perfect for each other, it takes a jealous misunderstanding to finally shift their dynamic. Bastian overhears her say “I love you” on the phone, assumes she’s meeting another man, and can’t help but interfere, only to discover later it was her brother.

The romance is fun and engaging, but the last third leans too heavily on miscommunication, which dragged things out unnecessarily. Still, despite the frustration, I enjoyed their story overall and look forward to seeing more of the side characters in future books.

I knew when we got Bastian’s book that he would be intense but I didn’t know he would also make me laugh and how he would make himself swoon worthy.
Constance is the social media manager for the Winery and restaurant that Bastian and his family own. She goes to work everyday in a good mood and in no time Bastian has her annoyed. He growls at her all the time…but she’s got a secret…she is in love with him…but what she doesn’t know is he has a few secrets of his own including that he’s in love with her.
Will they finally tell each other how they feel? How will Bastian show her that he is serious about her? How will everyone in Bastian’s family react during all this?

I have been waiting to see who will finally bring Bastian down. He means well but he can come off as cold and a workaholic. He does more for his family's winery than his family realizes. Constance works for him and can't get over her attraction to him. She doesn't want him to know how much she wants him. She doesn't want to mix work with pleasure. He tried to stay away from her until he finally couldn't. He won't let his position as her boss come between them. He will need to make sure something changes in order to get the happily ever after with her.

I’ve been waiting for Bastian’s book for what seems like forever and I can only say, it was worth every minute! He might’ve been a controlling jerk to his siblings and cousins but he was nothing short of delicious perfection with Constance, his sassy assistant. This was an amazingly good book—sweet and oh so spicy and one I recommend wholeheartedly to everyone who enjoys the instalove trope… it’s 1,000% worth the read. 5++ stars!
