I love having all of the Sugar Shack mystery stories in one box set. When Rosella Midnight decides it’s time to move back home to Winterspell and work in her family’s bakery she never expects to get caught up in so many mysteries happening around town. But with her unique ability of speaking to animals, Rosella finds herself assisting the arcane order in solving these mysteries.

The Sugar Shack Witch Mysteries Boxed Set includes Sprinkles and Sea Serpents, Grimoires and Gingerbread, Mermaids and Meringue, Sugar Cookies and Sirens, and Hexes and Honey Buns. These are cozy paranormals reads, and each book featured a standalone completed mystery with hints of a much larger overarching plot. I found each of the mysteries to be interesting, engaging, and resolved in a satisfactory manner. I enjoyed the character growth the MC, Rosella, goes through as the series progresses. I also really enjoyed the audiobook narration by Ronconi. Ronconi brings so much energy and emotion to the characters while delivering an engaging performance.

A wonderfully magical cozy paranormal mystery series. There is a slow-burn romance, a yummy bakery, and of course, some mysteries to be solved. This series introduces us to lots of different paranormal creatures, as evidenced in the names of the books themselves. The FMC can talk to animals/creatures, and we therefore get a new insight to them as the stories progress. There is also a set of interwoven holiday-themed novellas that fall in between each of the main titles and I would recommend reading them in publication order, although there are no major spoilers.

A delightful addition to the main series, these holiday-themed novellas are quick, fun reads that don't involve any major spoilers for the main series. We get to see Rosella and Orion's relationship blossom in small bursts, as well as get a blast from the past in the Halloween-themed novella. Well worth the read!
