Tall, athletic Joanna Kingston has a roguish way about her that draws women like a magnet. Yet, as too many lovers have discovered too late, though Joanna's bedroom door is always open, she keeps her wounded heart under lock and key.Knowing too well Joanna's "love 'em and leave 'em" reputation, beautiful Fiona Maddison is determined to keep their friendship platonic -- unless she can break through Joanna's impenetrable public persona. But as the sexual tension between them starts to smolder, Fiona's resolve starts to melt.
I really wanted to like this book. One of the main characters was named Fiona, and so am I. However, it was just an okay read. It did not grab me like some other books and so I dawdled through it. There were parts I enjoyed more than others but overall it just seemed choppy. I did not enjoy the ending of the book at all. I kept thinking there should be more.
I enjoyed this. It was first published in the 90's and I do like to read lesbian romance from that time. I find they are quite dreamy and the woman sort of float in and out of scenes and moments and lives. Fell for lovely Fiona in this one. What a gorgeous woman.
I was hoping there were more chapters. The characters were realistic and relatable. The author has knack for integrating romance and character development. I look forward to reading more of her work.
