(Bodhi) This story is about dinosaurs and how they acted. It was really good. It will teach you about dinosaurs.

(Sam) This book is about dinosaurs. It is cool how they used the words "here is" instead of just "this is" to introduce each new dinosaur.

Meet the Dinosaurs
Summary
This is an informational text about different types of dinosaurs. It uses large text for early readers and the long dinosaur names are spelled out underneath so that young readers can pronounce them.

Evaluation
I like this book because it allows young readers to read about a topic they are passionate about. Since it has large text and spelled out words, students are able to start to enjoy reading from a young age.

Teaching Idea
I would use this in a reading lesson on descriptive words. When it describes each dinosaur is lists a different adjective that young readers might not have heard before.

Summary
This informational text, teaches children about different types of dinosaurs. The images are engaging for children, and the long names are separated with dashes to help students sound out the words.

Evaluation
I believe this informational text would be perfect for lower grade level students. The images of dinosaurs would grasp students' interest, and the size of the text would be easy for beginning readers.

Teaching Ideas
I would use this book in my classroom during a science lesson about dinosaurs. I would easily be able to use it during a cross curriculum lesson between science and reading.

I enjoyed sharing this book with my son, and having him read it to me. It was an excellent pace for his reading level, and thanks to the "Dinosaur Train" he knew how to pronouce most of the dinosaur names. If you have a child who loves dinosaurs and is beginning to read, this is an excellent book for them.

Interesting book about dinosaurs. Kids may be interested in it. I do like how this book uses arrows to point out what the key word in the sentence is actually talking about in the picture. (Claw ----> points to a picture of a claw)

This is a great book to get students to start reading. If a beginning reader is interested in dinosaurs then this would be a great book to have them read. The hard to pronounce dinosaur names are easy to sound out because they are written in the book exactly that way.

Quite information heavy, but this is a great book for children who love dinosaurs! There are lots of dinosaur species children would not normally come across, and so this is great for project work or exploring new things?

Perfect for preschoolers, 12 dinosaurs are introduced with one or two facts for each creature. The illustrations are detailed and easily recognizable. My preschooler loves this one!
