Wow, what a great story! A very unique plot written by an unbelievably great writer, Eli Chastian! Of all the books I've read nothing compares to this book. I have read some really great books lately, but this one tops them. It was seriously so good! I loved it from the first page.
In the beginning of the book we have Brook who's life is going according to plan. With her future mapped in front of her, being a model was never questioned until she breaks down. She no longer wants to be in the modeling world. Instead of being in front of the camera she starts to see herself as the person behind the camera as a celebrity photographer. Her main goal; Nikolas Gallo. Nikolas 'Niko' Gallo is a famous actor that has a pubic image that offers him no privacy.
This book just goes to show that all it takes is one wrong move and your life could go flip a complete 180. Once you start this book you won't be able to stop. It's addicting, captivating and appealing to all. This book has to be new favorite for me, and I can't say enough how much I recommend it. This book is intense from start to finish, I felt like I was holding my breath the entire book! I'm anxiously awaiting getting my hands on the second book, I want to dive right back into this insane mixed-up world of Brook and Niko!

I feel bad about this book. The synopsis promissed so much more.
I have to be honnest that the subject is not my cup of tea. This is more about a stalker with a camera than a peeping tom. Really. I disliked the main character, so it doesn't help the book to gather any stars.
The main reason why it deserved only 1 star is the writting that didn't catch my reader's eye, but also the huge mistake to use bad french. In my opinion, if the author uses french then he/she should KNOW what he writes , he/she should KNOW or at least check how to write the word TWO in french. 4 times or more I had to read DUEX while it's written DEUX. urgh. It felt so disrespectful, unprofessional and certainly not very clever.

I am not a fan of serials, but I keep getting sucked in...I enjoyed this. Brook is a bit of a dork, for all that she used to be a model, etc. And her paparazzi/photography/obsession has enough erotic fan girl longing to make me want to know more. I can't get a handle on Nikko yet, there are too many conflicting personas in this first installment to get a grasp on him as a character....but he's a sexy bastard, so I'll keep reading and see.

I have not fallen into the serial craze but this book has totally changed my mind!!! Holy cow! This book was beyond addictive! I absolutely LOVED Brook and Niko. They were insanely hot! Eli Chastain knows how to write a sex scene! I can't wait for volume 2! Definitely pick this serial up!

Decent read. I knew it was a serial going in, but as soon as we get to the good stuff it ends! I will be keeping an eye out for the next book. Brook's secrets and the mystery behind Niko makes me want to read the next volume, but we'll see....

I had a hard time getting into this one. It is very short but it seemed like a stalker's anthem to me. However once I got past the first chapter I was pleasantly surprised. Niko is not all that different from Brook. Being in front of the camera is not what he wants. Suzi is a psycho with secrets of her own.
This story left off with a huge cliffhanger. I can’t wait for volume 2 to see how Niko reacts to whom Brook really is.

The concept of the book was interesting and definitely had promise; however, what I read didn’t really match the synopsis. I couldn’t really connect with the characters. This was free download on Amazon, and I didn’t realize it was a serial and there’s a cliffhanger of sorts m. The series isn’t on KU, and I don’t have enough interest in continuing the series to pay for it.

This book is about Brook. She used to be a model, but couldn't handle that pathway anymore.
Talk about 180's, now she's behind the camera as a paparazzi. The problem is that she has become obsessed with one actor.
While following him everywhere, she accidentally comes into full contact with him. This opens the story up to go in a whole new direction. There's something going on with Nikolas, some type of mystery. He's sexy and dark sometimes, nice and outgoing other times. There are also other characters affecting the outcome of what will happen with Brook and Nikolas.
I was completely interested in trying to figure the plot out. My only issue was the ending didn't seem like how the scene would actually happen in my opinion. I can't go into much detail without giving spoilers. It's just that I don't believe they would have been doing that without him ordering it. It kind of puts me in the mind of the tv show Dirt a little. I think there are several things hidden that will come to surface. Whether they will simplify or make the storyline more twisted is uncertain. I do plan to continue with the next installment to find out.

Brook used to be in front of the camera but one day she knows she can no longer be the adored model anymore and walks away from that life forever. Instead she finds a new obsession, the hot and talented Niko, and becomes the one taking the pictures and she gets them anyway she can including climbing up a tree outside his house. One night she has to intervene and finally comes face to face with her obsession.
“My eyes move to his and they are the darkest eyes I’ve ever seen. Two perfectly round windows into all of his thoughts and secrets…and desires.”
This will be a short but sweet review for a short but sexy serial novella. I did really enjoy this story, it was very short but being aware of that before I went in it didn’t bother me and the author managed to create an enjoyable and quite captivating story within the short period of time.
“The tip of his tongue slowly circles my clit, drawing out the pleasure to an agonizing level, but the suffering is only a promise of the pleasure I know will follow.”
Brook has been stalking Niko from afar for a while but one night she has to intervene and meets him face to face. If I’m honest, I was waiting for this to happen for the story to really begin but I enjoyed the first part as we learn little bits about Brook and Niko. We also get introduced to Niko’s crazy ex, Suzy, and I love this dimension of the story because Suzy is going to cause so much drama!! Even more than she already has.
“I’m not sure I want to experience the real Niko at the risk of losing my imagined version of him.”
From the short start we get from this serial novella I do already like Niko and Brook as characters but I definitely need more to know if this will last. I’m desperate to know why Brook follows Niko like she does and I’m desperate to know why Niko has to be in control and why Brook spots sadness in his eyes. But from the little we know so far I can tell Niko is going to be a sexy, domineering alpha male and Brook I think is going to be sweet, vulnerable but strong all at the same time.
“He wants to be in charge of every ounce of pleasure given, as well as received.”
The plot itself was interesting, we have sex (the dance floor scene was HOT HOT HOT!), possible romance and drama and suspense thanks to crazy Suzy and wondering whether Niko will discover Brook’s secret. The ending has made me eager to read the next instalment and see what the author has in-store for these two. So overall a very quick read but a very satisfying read as well.

This is the debut release and first novella in a four part series by Eli Chastain. If you enjoy stories with a bit of mystery and cater to the inner voyeur, then this series is for you. I was intrigued by the premise of this story and Eli did not disappoint with the way this story drew me in and kept me engaged.
Both characters are a bit of mystery right now. Brook dreamed of being a photographer but found herself on the other side of the lens with a career in modeling that was anything but satisfying. After abandoning the high profile profession, she lands herself a job as a celebrity photographer. It barely pays the bills but puts her on the correct side of the lens to chase her dream. Only that dream has been derailed by the fixation she has developed on Niko.
Niko appears to be a typical celebrity newly inundated to living life in the fast lane on the surface. He spends his nights with a different woman, but the scene plays out the same with each conquest through Brook’s lens. Niko likes to be in command of all things, especially where sex is concerned. But I get the impression there is much more to Niko than meets the eye.
While their first official encounter was under duress, the magnetism was present and intense. A risqué escapade amidst the patrons of a night club was sexy and full of promise of things to come with Niko and Brook. And boy were there things to come…pun intended. But secrets get revealed in an unexpected way that leaves Niko questioning all that he thinks he knows about Brook.
While the story is far from finished Eli has left me salivating for the next installment. The characters are likeable, given the little we know about them at this time, and I am anxious for the next installment to learn more. The story was enjoyable with the right mix of drama, mystery and sexual tension to keep me interested and I cannot wait for what is next.

Eli Chastain. Bra-fucking-oh. My first thought after reading this book was "Oh Emmm Freaking Gee!!"
Eli sucked me into the world of Shutter immediately. Word after word I got tangled in the story line and never want to be let go. I need volume two ASAP. The sex was hot, the chemistry is hot and I have a feeling there is more that Niko knows than he leads on. I can't wait to find out more!!! 5 stars all the way and everyone needs to purchase this series!

S.E. Dosher’s novella series is composed to 3 Volumes and Volume 1 starts off with a bang. Shutter Volume 1 is a quick and light read because of its fresh perspective and unique premise. I wasn’t sure what I was going to get when I requested an ARC copy and I was pleasantly surprised.
We begin with Brook Beckham, super model turned photographer. She gave up everything to be behind the lens and she found the perfect subject – Nikolas Gallo. Brook isn’t a paid fashion photographer, or online blogger. She’s the paparazzi. She follows Nikolas wherever he goes, sneaking through the shadows to get the perfect shot of him, which she may or may not sell. She’s got a little obsession.
Nikolas doesn’t seem like a typical celebrity. He seems almost bored with his status. And he seems to have more between his ears. He’s trying to make the most of his career and make the transition from being in front of the camera to behind it. His plans seem to be going well until he finds out he’s been the subject of some very private and intimate photo sessions.
These two characters had great chemistry for me, and their connection kept me engaged.
S.E. Dosher’s Shutter volume 1 is a novella about 22,000 words, but it’s worth it. Keep in mind that this is a series and in order to get any satisfaction from the plot and characters, you will have to read the entire series. The characters are hot and sexy with chemistry you can feel. My only criticism is that all three volumes could have been written as one book. But, that’s just my personal preference, and I still recommend.

Packed with guilty pleasures, this novella introduces an original angle. I don't think I've ever seen models-turned-to-paparazzi as heroines of a romantic plot before.

It's fun, quirky and hell-bent sexy. Why? Well, there is Brooke who's fed up with life in front of a flashy camera so she goes wild and abruptly leaves everything behind. Life now is on the brink of bankruptcy so she's been casually stalking a celebrity for cash money. Though this actor has become an obsession that plagues her nights with erotic visions.
Unbeknownst to him, she follows him home to snap a picture of his nightly routine with the latest conquest. That's when she spots his most persistent stalker other than her trespassing his home. From that moment on and the decision she takes, guilty voyeurism turns into guilty, face-to-face contact with the man of her fantasies.
I can't say how unusual this premise seems to me. It's engaging as it arouses my curiosity as well as indulges my peeping Tom-conscience. I think Nico hides a couple of secrets of his own because his attitude is at times suspicious. Following Brooke in her escapades was as much fun as her inability to deny herself some real time with a man she has an imaginary crush on. Along with some intensely hot scenes, this story has a promising start. I'd love to be there to see the bomb between this ill-fated couple explode.

Reviewer for Paranormal Romance and Authors That Rock
Brook, model turned stalker, has been watching Niko for years, all down the viewfinder on her camera. When a crazy woman enters Niko's house, Brook steps up and saves the day, sorta. Niko asks for one night, just one night to say thank you. But Brook is unprepared for the crazy woman and what she will do to get Niko.
oh!!! just when this starts to get good, it finishes! I KNEW it was a seriel going in, but still. The last two chapters were the best and then boom!! wait some for the next bit!
I liked this short tale of becareful what you wish for. There isnt much background to either character, its all the here and now. BUT I would have liked a little SOMETHING on Niko. At least we do get Brook's moment of madness at the beginning, but there is nothing at all on Niko. He doesnt get his say either, and ya'll know how I feel about everyone having their say!
It has steam, and build up and super hot dancing, along with even hotter bedroom antics. Its just after that, I mean literally RIGHT AFTER that, it ends.

I was not sure what to think when I started this book. I almost gave up on it, but I'm glad that I kept going. We start off with Brook as a high end fashion model at the height of her career, but one day Brook was done and walked away from it all. She went back to what she truly loved to do, be behind the camera not in front of it.
Brook becomes obsessed with Hollywood movie star Niko. She follows him everywhere watches every thing and wishes she was the woman on his lap or on his arms. When Brook gets the chance to be that woman, but it comes with serious consequences. Will Brook take the opportunity and be with the guy she has been fantasizing about or will she walk away from him forever?
This book was a little slow for me it didn't keep my interest as long as I would have hoped. I felt like the characters could have been more developed. I'm hoping that because this book is one of three that we get a little bit more with the other books.

This book was a little slow for me it didn't keep my interest as long as I would have hoped. I felt like the characters could have been more developed. I'm hoping that because this book is one of three that we get a little bit more with the other books.
I would rate this book 3 out 5 fangs

Holy Cliffhanger Hell!
Volume One in this Series is short, sweet and completely captivating right from the start.
The story revolves around Brook, a former top model turned photographer, who becomes obsessed and begins stalking Hollywood actor Niko Gallo for the perfect picture. Instead of selling the pictures, she is keeping them for herself. When she saves Niko from an ex-lover stalker, the two began the relationship of her dreams until it all comes crashing down and leaves you with a mother of a cliffhanger.
My favourite scene is between the two on the dance floor of a club. This scene shows you sexual chemistry the two have naturally. “One lone finger slips under the border of my panties and I hear his sharp intake of breath as it delves into pure, wet velvet”. **HOT**
Eli’s writing really leaves you wanting more and really puts you in the action as if you are really there with Brook as she is stalking Niko for the perfect picture.

The story revolves around Brook, a former top model turned photographer, who becomes obsessed, infatuated and consumed with stalking Hollywood actor and renowned playboy Niko Gallo for the perfect picture. She keeps all the images she takes of him, never once selling them on and this obsession controls most of her daily routines.
When she saves Niko one day after an unfortunate encounter, she gets the fulfilment of her wildest dreams; her ultimate fantasy comes true: one night with Niko, that's all she wants but there is an unwelcome person knocking at the door....
This book is about obsessions and sometimes how they get us what we want but can things last built upon an unhealthy obsession?
I need to know what happens next as that ending has left me reeling at the thought of both their reactions to the revelations.

Holy Shutter!! Let me start by saying I LOVE mystery and danger in a book, and Eli Chastain did not disappoint. So many romance series/serials have become same ol', same ol' to me. Boy and girl meet. Boy and girl fall in love. Boy and girl break up. Boy and girl get back together and live happily ever after. Shutter is already proving itself different, and that is a breath of fresh air! How Niko and Brook meet is certainly unconventional, and it just goes from there! There's so much more to this story than your typical romance, and I LOVE that! Have to say my mouth dropped with a gasp in the final scene! I'm on pins and needless for the next installment and am thrilled to learn I won't have to wait long. Eli Chastain is definitely an author to watch for and will be on my immediate to buy list in the future!

Brook was a high end fashion model at the height of her career, till one he "woke up" and was done, she walked away from it all. She went back to taking the pictures instead of being in them. She becomes obsessed with Hollywood movie star Niko while continuously photographing him in intimate moments, while secretly wishing she was the woman on his lap or on his arms. When Brook finally gets the chance to be that woman, she finds it comes with serious consequences. Will Brook take the change to be with the man she is obsessing over or will it be too much as she walks away from him forever?
This was a great lead in to the series and I can't wait to read the next installment. Eli really know what he was doing when he wrote this one. I hope you read this and enjoy it as much as I have.

As a fan girl I can see how one can get hooked on a celebrity. But there's a very thin line between a fan an a stalker. Brook Beckham is a stalker with a camera. Her prey the ever so sexy Nickolas Gallo.
But unlike most of us fan girls Brook gets the opportunity of a life time but it comes with a price.
Shutter had me hooked off the synopsis alone! But once the story began i literally didn't but the book down til the story was over! An even then i'm aching to find out what happens next!!
Im rating shutter 4.5 stars only because I felt the romance happened a little to fast for my taste. I would have liked to see more of stalker brook in the beginning.

For a debut release, Eli Chastain has blew me away with this one!! Not only do you have a sexy couple, but you actually get a great story to go along with it, which is rare these days with serials.
Niko is off the charts HOT and sexy and left me breathless and when he gets together with Brook, their chemistry is amazing!! I loved seeing the lengths at which Brook would go to to get close to Niko and the little twists and turns along the way.
All I can say is I'm ready for Volume 2!! Bring it on Eli!!

This was a fun short read. It is a serial. So beware it ends in a cliff hanger. Meet Brook, Brock, Suzy, Paul, Stephen and Niko. You don't get a lot of information. The story is primarily about Brook who left the modelling world and have a huge stalkerish crush on a famous playboy Niko. Suzy is Niko's stalker (physically) while Brook is behind the scenes. The story ends with Niko and Brook connecting only to look like they are going to fall apart when the police show up at Brook's place with pictures of her stalking Niko. Oh la la. What will happen next.

Well, to start this review off...I met the "real" author today in Denton and she was a total shock to me after reading her other books.
Now, about Shutter....WOW!! What a unique concept for a book. I loved every page and cannot wait to see what the heck is going to happen next. You have gotten my attention in a book synopsis that at first I was kind of "iffy" about, please except my apologies now because this book was so good and had just the right about of what I want when I read a book. Keep writing and hurry up and release the next book please.

This was a quick read of a photographer (once model) secretly capturing intimate moments of celebrity actor, Nickolas Gallo. All is well with keeping her identity a secret until one night her actions changes everything.
I usually get a feel of a series based on the first book but torn about this one. It had it moments but it didn’t capture me as I thought it would. Maybe some of the scene was a bit over the top for me or that the characters chemistry was not as hot as I expected it to be but then again it was a short read and to know more is to continue onto the next book.

I Had a hard time getting into this one. It seemed like a stalkers anthem to me. However once I got past the first chapter I was pleasantly surprised. Niko is not all that different from Brook. Being in front of the camera is not what he wants. Suzi is a psycho with secrets of her own.
This story left off with a huge cliffhanger. Cant wait for volume 2 to see how Niko reacts to who Brook really is.
