Wittmore U Hockey #4

Enticing the Enforcer

Rate this book
"I’m selfish. I’m entitled. Even if I get you, I'm still going to want you again tomorrow.”

Being the most recognizable pop star in the world has its perks: Private planes, sold-out arenas, and a devoted fanbase called The Flock.

But it also comes with downsides. Every man I’ve dated has either wanted to use me, tame me, or shrink me to fit inside a box.

So when a bold, cocky hockey player leaves a note tucked inside my dressing room locker before a show, I should toss it in the trash.

Instead, curiosity wins, and Wittmore Enforcer, Jefferson Parks, slams into my life.

*

I was hoping I’d end the night with a little more than a kiss. Thought maybe I’d get to notch the infamous Ingrid Flockton off my very short, very exclusive list.

Ingrid Flockton is my #1.

I’m not talking about records sold or hits on the radio. I’m talking about the list I made freshman year. My sex list.

It’s a fantasy come true when she comes in town for her tour. I have a chance and I’m taking my shot. One night. One opportunity.

She thinks I’m a player, and she’s not wrong, but for the first time in my life, I want more than a win.

I want her.

Enticing the Enforcer is a spicy popstar meets hockey player, spicy, contemporary romance and standalone novel in the Wittmore U: Hockey series by best-selling author, Angel Lawson.

Gold. This book is gold. It was sweet, flirty, spicy, funny, intense... all good things that a good hockey romance needs. If you're not a swift/kelce fan, this might not be for you. I can tell you that it was written wonderfully, held my attention - I ATE IT UP!! Its the last in a series of standalones. (though there were some hints to a possible spin-off, a next gen series, maybe?)

I already have plans to buy the foiled and signed editions from the author. Only my absolute favs go on my shelf. ❤️

The Taylor x Travis fanfic was so insane like beat for beat headlines. I know the author warns the reader at the top that it’s inspired by them, but idk it felt too close. I also think that the characters were underdeveloped and relied on the Taylor/travis narrative to make readers care.

Also the mmc calling her angel and the authors name being angel? A little too heavy handed with the self insert!!

if I knew this was gonna be taylor swift x travis kelce fan fiction then I would've found a way to decline this arc

Loved Ingrid and Jefferson!

A Wittmore book always sucks me in and I've loved all of them. Like the others, its filled with past characters, but this time focusing on Jefferson. It's fun, spi cy, and on the sweeter side, nothing too dark. Not too much ex drama either. With other characters introduced and tying Serendee to it, I'm hoping we get more at Wittmore!!

Could have been better

I genuinely liked the other books in this series, so despite the fact that I hate billionaires who are happy to be idolised by, and cater to, yt supremacists so long as she makes money, I held my breath and read the book.

I had to skip over most of it because yikes it’s really creepy to write real person fanfiction and this was close enough that it set me on edge. I skimmed over most descriptions of the FMC’s job/family/etc. basically anything that wasn’t generic “popstar” stuff. I could deal with that, more or less. The mentions of red lipstick made me gag a bit.

What I couldn’t deal with is trying to figure out if the author just didn’t bother to re-read what she wrote the MMC saying the FMC during their first interactions, or if the FMC is just an idiot. He quite literally explains that he doesn’t want more from her and that it’s just gonna be something casual. He was very transparent about that. The FMC literally experienced and was clearly shown the MMC’s growth. He never hid who he was or his intentions, even when they were initially just to hook up with her.

So why in the world did she suddenly flip on a dime simply because this guy, that she knew was a longtime fan, notorious for hooking up constantly, had a her name on a list of people he’d like to hook up with. That might be the absolute dumbest thing I’ve ever read.

I ate this up. It was such a fun and flirty read—I just couldn’t put it down. Jefferson and Ingrid were the perfect way to see our seniors off to the NHL.
Side note: I cannot believe our time at Wittmore U is over with these guys. I miss them already.

As the great Wayne Gretzky said, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” So Jefferson Parks cannot let this opportunity slip by without at least trying to connect with his longtime celebrity crush, Ingrid Flockton. She’s at the top of his dream list of conquests, after all.

Jefferson and Ingrid were so much fun, and I loved reading their story. The angsty slow burn was done so well. The way they got lost in the moment with each other had me swooning. Their stolen moments were so hot. Jefferson has a very filthy mouth—and I LOVED IT, lol.

This whole series—though this book can be read as a standalone—is fantastic. The family these guys create has been one of my favorites. The way they all love and support each other is the definition of the found family trope.

Also, if there’s anything we’ve learned from Taylor Swift and now Ingrid Flockton (by way of Angel Lawson), it’s that we’d all be so much happier if we were being railed by a 6-foot-plus professional athlete who’s basically feral for us.

Thank you to Angel Lawson and Team for my advanced reader copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

It was alright. (Possible spoilers ahead)
The author does mention in the beginning that she’s a big Taylor Swift/Travis fan…..so this book definitely sounds like it’s fan fiction. The h sounds identical to Taylor. From the red lipstick, to the secret coded songs, to the fan nickname, to the massive tour. The only difference was this h had purple hair.

Personally, I just didn’t like H. His whole list was just eek. Then his POV’s during this book (especially in the first part) gave off red flags) No, there was no OW drama once he met h, but there were moments I wondered if he’d even be with h if she wasn’t some big star?
One of his POVs after meeting h.

“And if Ingrid wasn’t here, I’d be balls deep in one of the girls hanging out in the main bar”

There’s a tiny bit of OM drama with h’s ex. It sounds like he was modeled after Taylor’s ex, Joe.

The spice was blah. I’d maybe rate it 1.5 because to me, it was very vanilla’ish.

Ingrid is a pop star. Jackson is the hockey star. I’ve been waiting for his story since the beginning, and it didn’t disappoint. Their thoughts, their fears, their longing, it all felt raw and real.

One has never given love a chance. One has only given it to the wrong people. A note, an immaculate burger order, and one lonely night started everything.

The tenderness mixed with the ache of their conversations had me finishing this book in just a few sittings. Swoon. Literal swoon.

The TS and TK parallels absolutely had me in a chokehold. It was just so satisfying!

I genuinely have no notes. Like… none. Just a masterclass in giving readers exactly what they didn’t even know they needed.

*sigh* I want to start this by saying I love Angel Lawsons books. They’re seriously some of my favorites. But this one just fell flat…

This is the second Swift/Kelce inspired book I have read this year and maybe I went into this a little tainted already because I’m over the over saturation of their relationship. But this book really did read like a fan fic. It was missing the emotional depth that I found in the first 3 books of the series. No truly deep personal story from either MCs to help connect the two together or the readers to the story.

Nevermind that the FMC was literally described as Taylor Swift, her whole backstory was Swift lore too. I know Angel put a warning at the start of the book that it was Swift/Kelce inspired, but I wasn’t expecting it to be a carbon copy of Swifts life. I don’t mind authors using artist/celebs they love as inspiration, but books always fall flat when an author tries to make it exactly like them. I feel like we hardly got to know much about Jefferson because it was so focused on playing into the Swift backstory. I wound up skimming most of the book because it just didn’t pull me in like the others.

If you’re not a Swiftie, I wouldn’t recommend reading this. Just not a great end to the Wittmore series. I’m still looking forward to her future projects though!

Let’s be clear: there’s no danger here just immaculate vibes.

She’s a rockstar. He’s her biggest fan. And somehow, a single note left in a locker room spirals into something completely unhinged (in the best way).

Angel Lawson absolutely nails the fantasy. The dynamic is playful, swoony, and loaded with tension that comes from admiration turning into something much more personal. Watching a super fan go from the shadows to center stage? Yeah, we ate that up.

The locker room note is the moment. Small, bold, and packed with enough confidence to make us sit up and say, oh… this is going somewhere. From there, the chemistry builds effortlessly—no chaos, no fear, just anticipation and a whole lot of heart-pounding energy.
If we love celebrity romance, devoted MMC energy, and stories that feel fun, flirty, and impossible to put down, The Enforcer delivers. Consider us fully obsessed and absolutely cheering from the front row.

Jefferson Parks is a senior and one of the Wittmore U hockey gods who are close to winning the Frozen Four. He and his four hockey brothers have lived in the Manor House for the past three years. At first, they were the rowdy single guys bedding anything that was offered. But then, one by one, they slowly started forming long-term relationships. With Parks being the last man standing. Now back in his freshman year Parks had come up with a list of all the girls, bunnies, women, and even celebrities he wanted to bed before he graduated.

And at the top of the list was Ingrid Flockton. Why the first time he had ever had sex was to her music did matter that it was over in 45 seconds it was something he would never forget. But, she was no stranger to him because his first crush used to listen to her nonstop on repeat, and at first, it was, Why? But then it happened, a song stopped him in his tracks, and he listened and really heard it. Then he learned every word to “Lace & Lead.” At fifteen, he got it, all the emotion that she had tried to get across in that song he heard it, and felt it too.

She finds this out on one insane night, when she uses the note he left on his locker. Marv retrieved what was taped to his locker and gave it to Ingrid. When they decide to meet for a hamburger and Ingrid sneaks out to see Parks. He does everything to minimize her being seen and keeps her safe. While on their way to a quiet place, a bunnie offers herself for the night to Parks. He replies, Thanks, really what more could you say without being an A-hole? That's when Ingrid says, “That happens a lot?

Girls inviting you to ‘crash’ at their place?” “Pretty often,” he replies with zero shame. “Is that what you think is happening here? That your little private tour and greasy hamburger will lead to a hook-up? A one-night stand with Ingrid Flockton? A way to get tickets? An autograph? Details on what really happened to me and my ex to sell to the tabloids?” Now here has to be one of the best lines in the book, He stops and looks down at me, a piece of blond hair falling in his eyes. “Babe, if I wanted in your pants, I would’ve brought condoms, not fries.”

Although they are the same age their life experiences are vastly different and sophisticated but in separate lanes because of the genres they chose for their lives. And yet they will be circling the same drain so to speak in celebrity media things. She ends up meeting the girlfriends of his buddies. Acting of course like they never met. She gets VIP tickets, backstage passes, and flies them out on her jet, and they stay at her penthouse. All to them go to the guys' game. Then after the game, they go to her place for an after-party for pizza, water, and soda.

Meanwhile, Parks and she had been texting nonstop comparing their lives mega-rich, and famous rock star versus popular hockey player on his way to the NHL. Both require a lot of good health, nutrition, and agility. The aftercare is almost identical in both their worlds ice baths, massages, and physical therapy. Then hydration lots of hydration. But then you start to realize there is an undercurrent that is working against them. People and Paps find their way too endlessly. Not too hard to figure out who is doing it. Takes Ingrid longer of course, because she is truly in love, until she is forced, by another to question her relationship with Parks.

When the paps showed up at the gym before they got to the gym, she made a point of saying, Marv is in the shadows, meaning her bodyguard. Especially since Madison had not arrived yet. Hmm. But when the Paps swarmed, Parks ended up knocking a Pap to the ground when he ripped Ingrid’s top. Where was Marv? Just saying... Now, please tell me that Ms. Angel is not going to take our dear Wittmore U into the dark side. Hopefully, not into the dark depths with this cult in the Manor, and on the team? Especially with Shelby there and with all the trauma she has already been through.

This final book in the Wittmore U hockey series stole the show for me! It was such a fun time read, being based loosely on such a high profile relationship that we see all over the media.. (if you don’t know who I mean read the notes at the beginning at the book- I won’t spoil it for you! )
In the past three books we’ve seen Jefferson Parks as the playboy everyone knows and loves, he loves a good time, a one night stand, hockey and has an obsession for music sensation Ingrid Flockton. He’s had her at the top of his ‘list’ for forever and loves her music. When a chance turn of events means she’s coming to perform at the stadium in Wittmore that he plays hockey at, he takes a risk and leaves a note for her tucked in his locker- never thinking it would turn into anything. But it does, Ingrid is so tired of being the star and not seen as a person, so she messages Jefferson and meets him- they share burgers, an instant connection and a kiss. A kiss that proves to Jefferson that maybe he could have more than meaningless one nights. Although he doesn’t exactly realise that yet, he just knows he wants more of Ingrid.
She on the other hand is wary, to trust, to be her true self but the more time they spend together the more she feels seen, by him. That she’s a real person that has value even without the stage, glitter and sequins. Plus he calls her ‘Angel’- and we all know how much I LOVE a nickname! I ate up this book so fast, it was a perfect mix of swoon and spice with the deep found family element with the rest of the gang weaved through it, which allowed us to see how the other three couples from the series had moved forward too! A perfect ending to such an amazing series.

Enticing The Enforcer by Angel Lawson is the fourth and final book in her Wittmore U Hockey Series but can be read as a standalone. There are a lot of overlapping characters so I do recommend you read the whole series plus its a great series. This book follows Pop Superstar, Ingrid Flockton and Hockey Enforcer, Jefferson Parks and is told from a dual POV. i grid and Jefferson were such fun characters. I loved everything about this book. The spice was spicy and absolutely perfect. These Wittmore books have me hooked. I have devoured each one and they just keep getting better. This one gives big Taylor Swift x Travis Kelce vibes only with hockey instead of football and I am here for it all. I cannot wait to read more from Angel!

It’s nights like this when I understand why musicians use drugs. I always feel high when I’m on stage. It’s a natural rush that comes from performing. It’s the crash after that makes me feel a little lost. That’s when I want to reach for something to keep the feeling going. Since I don’t use drugs, I tend to channel that energy into something less destructive. Writing another song. Eating a greasy cheeseburger. Taking a run. And if luck is willing, spending the night with my boyfriend and getting that dopamine hit between the sheets.

Right now, I’m just a girl in a borrowed hoodie, standing in front of a boy who brought her dinner. And for once, that’s enough.

“Babe, if I wanted in your pants, I would’ve brought condoms, not fries.”

The one who had my attention the moment I saw her. I wanted to impress her. Prove that I was worth noticing. Worth showing up for, risking exposure. Worth her.

“So you’re saying you’ll ruin me?” “Other way around. You’ll ruin me.” I release a humorless laugh. “I don’t get ruined, Angel. I’m the guy who keeps things casual, easy, forgettable. A quick night of fun for everyone. But the way you’ve been looking at me? The way you’ve got me waiting on the next text, the next contact? It’s driving me fucking crazy. And just when I think I’ll never see you again, you show up in my team colors, wearing short skirts and painted red lips. Yeah, what I have in mind isn’t casual.” My pulse is hammering so loud I can feel it in my ears. “So before we do this, you need to know the truth. I’m selfish. I’m entitled. And if I get you, I don’t think I’ll be able to go back to pretending I don’t want you again tomorrow.” Her lips curl slow, dangerous, deliberate. Like she knows exactly how much power she has and how much of it I just handed her. “You make it sound like a warning.” “It is.”

“If anyone’s ever made you feel like you weren’t the best part of their day, give me their number. I’ll fuck him up–and then find you and make you come again.”

“You’re mine,” I whisper, voice breaking with it. “And no one touches what’s mine.”

“Careful, Parks. You keep talking like that and I might start believing you.” His lips graze the corner of my mouth, teasing. “That’s the idea.

“That’s the thing about love, Ing. If it’s real, it’ll keep finding you. You just have to be ready to receive it.”

“I’ve got trophies, Angel. They’re shiny and the victory feels amazing, but it’s fleeting. Once it’s over, there’s another game, another match, another championship on the horizon. You’re not a conquest or a prize. You’re the person that I want to come home to every single day. You’re the woman that makes life less about me and more about what I can be for you.”

“I don’t want to play games with you, Ingrid. I don’t want to chase headlines or elevate my image. I just want you. All of you.” I let out a breath, finally saying what I should’ve said weeks ago. “I love you.”

I received an advance review copy, and I am leaving my honest review voluntarily.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lawson shoots and scores with final Wittmore U installment

Wow—this book hit all the right notes for me! From the very first page, the relationship between the protagonists feels deeply personal, real, and satisfying. I loved how the romance developed naturally—no rushed “love-at-first-sight” clichés, but a gradual build-up that made every moment between them feel earned. And yes, the steamy scenes? They were just the right amount of deliciously smutty—intimate, fiery, and full of emotional connection.

The pacing was another major win: the story never dragged, yet it never leapt ahead in a way that felt forced. Instead, it struck that sweet spot of keeping me turning pages while letting the characters breathe, grow, and lean on each other. Bonus points for the wonderful treat of revisiting couples from the previous books in the series—seeing familiar faces added a layer of comfort and continuity that I truly enjoyed.

If you’re looking for a romance that feels very intimate-and a story that makes you root for the couple from start to finish—this one is absolutely a 5-star read for me.

You can read this as a standalone but I highly recommend the entire Wittmore U series!

So sad to see the series ending but what u perfect way to end it! Who would’ve thought Jefferson would be so sweet?

“You’re not just a voice or a stage presence. You’re not a costume or a headline. You’re more than glitter and songs people scream back to you. You’re this rare, powerful, impossible thing I can’t believe I get to touch.” -Jefferson 🥹

Jefferson & Ingrid, so similar yet a little different at the same time but so perfect for each other. We get to the see the playboy hockey player literally transform himself for his childhood celebrity crush. & I know some people can’t believe to whole, “he changed so quickly”. We have to remember he basically manifested her & once he actually had a chance he wasn’t going to give it up so if doing a full 360 would do it, that’s exactly what he did.

For individuals that have different understanding of love I believe they worked things out perfectly. He was a bit hard to trust Jefferson but in the end Ingrid realized that he only truly had eyes for her & she had to excuse some past young fantasies. As for Jefferson he was always scared to settle down because he didn’t want to be “boring” & predictable like his parents but he also learned once you love someone you’ll take the chance.

They were just so perfect for each other to me. Jefferson would be there for her, for the real Ingrid not the shows & the lights & they both understand each other’s schedule. He helped her heal from past relationships.

I’ll take the Jefferson Parks special please

💚 Enticing The Enforcer 💚 (Book 4 in the Wittmore U series) by Angel Lawson

𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰:

💚 Let’s talk about the f boy that is Jefferson Parks. Obsessed is an understatement. I don’t know how Angel continues to give AMAZING MMCs in this series but she has done it again.
Not only is Jefferson hot - he’s blonde and yall know I’m no fan of blonde MMCs but I’m making an exception for Jefferson Parks - but also - his burger order? I need that like I need air. I was drooling over the food and the man.

💚 Ingrid made my heart so happy. I’m a sucker for a good pop star romance - but I loved how protective she was of herself - how she found herself within Jefferson and navigating her celebrity around his. Watching her gain a back bone even stronger with Jefferson I loved every moment of it.

💚 This book has the best angst, the best 🌶️ fun - and yall should know by now how much I’ll melt for a MMC with a dirty 👄. Just let me lay there please cause Jeffersons is by far the best!

💚 Also, I love a boom box over the head moment and this one gave all of that. It was comedic, it was fun, it was heart wrenching and full of everything I love about a romance.

This is a spicy romance with a hockey player and a popstar. While the author admits she’s a Swiftie/Kelce fan, there are plenty of other popstars over the years that fell in love with an athlete and vice versa so don’t let that stop you from reading this book. How many of us have had crushes on a band or actor or athlete - - take a step back and remember this is fiction but those that are famous are people too that deserve to have love and be seen for themselves.
I loved Jefferson in the earlier Wittmore U books and am so glad he got his own story because his obsession with Ingrid Flockton is crazy but who doesn’t wish they could have one night with their celebrity crush only Jefferson figures he is a hockey player after all so why not take the shot…worse case he misses his goal but knows he tried. I love that you got to see behind the curtain for Ingrid as a popstar because celebrities def have to be careful with who they date or are seen with and it has to be frustratingly exhausting to constantly being on guard like that. I love that it wasn’t instant boom for them but an attraction that felt organic as it grew while they got to know each other. There was spice, sweetness, laughter and made me root for the characters to get together. 5 Star Read

Jefferson & Ingrid, sweet little no trust having babies! LOL

This one was a fun ride, especially with the f*ckboy athlete who has a chance to get to his long time popstar crush! Taylor & Travis vibes anyone?! Will say, def some vibes, like inspired by, but not a full on tell all of that relationship!

I love a down bad man, duh, & this one is unique because Jefferson has had a crush on Ingrid for YEARS! She is the top of his list (literally), & when he gets a chance, he shoots his shot!

I love how they come together, and this one is a slower burn, but lots of tension & teasing! Jefferson, player of all players, surprises himself & his friend group with his patience for Ingrid & how they progress, & I looooved his growth in this one! And Ingrid getting to live her life? Or at least step out of her box and try? LOVED! Jefferson just wants to love her out loud & support her, and I love that for her! (See? Vibes!)

PS: JEFFERSON IS FILTHY & HAS NO SHAME! Bless that man's mouth!

This was such a great conclusion to this series, which I have enjoyed so much! It's bittersweet to see it end, but I am can't wait to see what comes next! I think I'll have to read her darker series before then, but I do love me some dark romance!

I didn’t expect to be a big puddle of emotions and nostalgic for this final book but… spoiler alert, I was a mess, so this going to be a little messy and emotional rambling haha

First at all, what a great final for this series… I’m already missing Wittmore Universe and this amazing characters, this team and more importantly this family is so special, the love and support they give to each other and their own personal journeys was amazing!

Talking about Ingrid and Jefferson, they were such a great surprise, I didn’t expect this kind of story of pop star x jock in the series but it was amazing, I love the slow burning sensation, the kind of tension were they only had this stolen moments… ugh when they finally got to be together was like fireworks!

And you just have to love a playboy be completely smitten by this girl who is completely out of his league and has to fight for every single chance! I personally love how their relationship evolved, the pace perfectly matches with their personalities and complex lives!

As I said since the beginning of the series, 100% recommended if you love hockey/college romances!

This was a cute and easy read with some charming moments, but it didn’t quite hit all the emotional notes I was hoping for.
I really enjoyed seeing Jefferson achieve a dream he’d held onto since he was fifteen—it was sweet to watch him not only reach it but go beyond what he imagined. And of course, there's always something fun about watching a self-proclaimed playboy fall hard and actually change.

Ingrid's character brought a nice contrast. Her insecurities and doubts about the authenticity of her relationships added some needed depth. I appreciated seeing her slowly open up and take emotional risks—those were some of the stronger parts of the book for me.

That said, while the story had potential, the relationship often felt surface-level. It leaned heavily on sexual chemistry, with only brief moments that hinted at a deeper emotional connection. I found myself wishing for more substance—more vulnerability, more genuine conversation, more growth between the characters outside of the physical.

It’s a solid pick if you’re in the mood for something light and steamy, but if you’re looking for a romance with layered emotional development, it might come up a little short.

So this entire series we’ve seen Jefferson be a playboy only ever having one night stands but we’ve also seen that he likes the pop star Ingrid.

Since Ingrid plays at the stadium where Jefferson plays hockey for the team he takes a risk, leaving a note in his locker for Ingrid. He doesn’t expect anything to come from it since she’s a huge pop star. However, it does!! She asks him for burgers, they end up kissing!!

Ingrid has been at the top of Jefferson’s list (IYKYK) so of course he takes the opportunity and he is completely upfront and honest with her about only wanting one night stands. Which Ingrid seems fine with until she like gets annoyed at him for it. Which spun me out a little since he was never untruthful about it.

Despite this though I still loved this story and seeing Jefferson be the one to fall first was a wild ride but so lovely. So whilst this was my least favourite of the series, I also feel like it was a great ending to the universe for the characters we know and love! I’m so happy Jefferson got his happy ending!

Overall a light, sweet read - can't believe this is the end of the Wittmore world. There are some great sweet moments here. I loved watching Jefferson chase and finally realize a dream he’d been holding onto since being a kid. It was heartwarming to see him not only reach it but surpass his own expectations. And there’s always something satisfying about seeing the resident flirt fall head over heels and actually grow from it. Ingrid offered a nice balance. Her uncertainty about her place and her fear of being loved for the wrong reasons gave her a quiet vulnerability. Watching her let her guard down little by little was one of the most rewarding parts of the story. But overall, this didn't quite have the emotional depth I felt the others did and is my least favorite of the series. The spark was definitely there, but the connection often stayed on the surface. And pretty reliant on the steam to do the leg work. It's also heavy on the Taylor Swift inspiration- which just isn't quite my jam. Still great to catch up with this world and these characters.

“Enticing the Enforcer” by Angel Lawson absolutely delivers on everything I love in a college sports romance — tension, heart, spice, and characters with real emotional depth.

Jefferson, the team’s enforcer, has that perfect mix of cocky confidence and quiet loyalty, and the way he falls for the pop star heroine,Ingrid, feels genuine, not forced. Their chemistry jumps off the page, but what really hooked me was how much emotional growth both characters go through. Lawson doesn’t just give you steam; she gives you soul.

I also liked that even though this is part of the Wittmore U Hockey series, it totally works as a standalone. You get glimpses of the team dynamic and the world, but you can dive right in without feeling lost.

If you’re into tropes like:
🏒 athlete x celebrity
💋 forced proximity & slow burn
💔 guarded hearts that finally let down their walls

…then this book will hit every note for you.

Jefferson Parks is back and ready to win at the Frozen Four. However just before leaving Ingrid Flockton world famous pop star is set to perform in Wittmore’s arena. Little does anyone know but Jefferson is not missing his chance. He leaves a note on his locker for her. Surprisingly she gets it and for some reason she reaches out. They spend the first time eating burgers “The Jefferson Parks Special” from the Badger Den and taking a tour of Wittmore. Nothing happens except for a kiss. A kiss that neither of them can forget! The whole book is definitely a whirlwind romance. Both scared to take a chance because of their past but both dying to be with each other. And Jefferson. Can we just say he sure has a dirty mouth that can get anyone hot and bothered. He is definitely not the type Ingrid usually goes for. He’s so much better. The spice, the connection between them is unmatched. What a perfect ending to a great hockey series!

Enticing The Enforcer ) Wittmore U Hockey Series - Book 4 ) Oh My Gosh Guys !! This series , this series really is one of the best I’ve ever read . With each book I’m become more and more addicted to. Not only in this captivating world that Angel has so flawlessly created but in each and every character and couple . Characters that have so many different layers and relationships that are filled with complexities. I mean really how do you even choose a favorite. Jefferson and Ingrid - they come pretty close . A pop star and a hockey enforcer. Two people you would think are least likely to fit together actually end up being just what each other needed . I loved hoe fierce and protective Jefferson was yet so tender underneath. And Ingrid / she definitely had issues when it came to trusting and letting Jefferson in . But Jefferson refused to give up , he was determined to prove to her he was just the person she needed .

So sad to see this series end

I was so sad to leave this world and its characters behind. I’ve been following this series since the beginning and have been looking forward to each new release. They are just sweet, no stakes romances and it feels like you’re just hanging out with a group of friends. I love that although each book focuses on a different couple, the stories are still intertwined with those of the previous books.

We all knew this book was coming. It’s very much Taylor/Travis coded, which is fine. It’s definitely a better spin with a little bit of drama but nothing crazy. It’s cute. And like Wayne Gretzky/Michael Scott always says, “you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.”

I like that we got to see the HEA of all of the characters. Even better, it looks like we’re not completely leaving this world because the ending teased a mashup of this and the Serendee world. I’m very interested to see how that’s going to work.

Oh my goodness Angel has done it again. I am obsessed with the Whittmore U series and I am sad to see it come to an end, but what a story to end on! Angel took inspiration for this story from Taylor and Travis, but she made it her own and it is so so good. Jefferson and Ingrid are perfect for each other, but how do you prove that you aren’t trying to get with someone because of their stardom? It showcased how amazing Jefferson was and how much he truly fell for Ingrid even though he was a player and had a “list”. He was just so incredibly sweet pursuing her and making sure she felt comfortable with him. And his groveling at the end… chef’s kiss! So so good. I loved this book so much! Highly highly recommend it, and if you haven’t read the others start with Faking it with the Forward! Well worth the read and I can’t wait for the next group of Whittmore U hockey guys, which is a crossover with the Serendee series!

While I did enjoy this book, it’s my least favourite of the 4. I was missing some of the angst that made me love the previous couples. It felt too ‘easy’ for them to come together, so I had a harder time getting invested in Jefferson and Ingrid. Ingrid also reminded me too much of Taylor Swift, and as someone who’s not a fan that tended to take me out of the story. I would’ve loved for Ingrid to be more herself if that makes sense? And less an inspiration on - she felt a bit basic pop star with not a lot of depth. The third act breakup did also feel out of nowhere - I felt like the stuff that bothered Ingrid there was stuff she already knew? So idk why that would make her break up with Jefferson at that point.

All in all, I did like this book, just not as much as the previous ones. I can’t wait for the next set of characters though - Serendee and Wittmore? Sign me up! That’s gonna be so good 😍
