For disclosure, I received a free copy in return for an honest review. The book is short and to the point. I saw other reviews say this book is for 'everyone' and I have to disagree. This is a very specific marketing book for those struggling with branding and distinguishing their business. It was a little dry and used lots of jargon. There was a glossary at the end, but it explained terms I already knew and not the one's I wasn't familiar with. I would have preferred a more 'explain as you go' approach. However, I thought the tips were solid and I do feel it has value for a business owner needing this information.
This isn't the usual type of book we review over here. But as someone who runs a small business I was interested in the topic covered and wanted to review this.
This book is targeted at small business owners who are looking to establish and market themselves. This book provides a useful tool to add to other tools in your box to help you with marketing. It is well written and laid out for easy navigation and reference. The topic is really not complex and easy to understand. Once you read it, you'll wonder why you are not already doing some of the things laid out.
I would recommend this to anybody starting out with running their own business.
I did not know what Recognized Expert Status meant until I read this book. It is a good book that is filled with basic facts on how to market yourself as an expert in your field. I feel this book works well for someone with a small business or someone who works in the corporate world and is trying to get themselves recognized. Provides useful tools and examples. Great place to start for someone looking into the basics of marketing.
I received a gift copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
