Sonja Grekov has spent her life in a gilded cage, trapped by her wealthy family’s expectations and the scroll tattoo on her face that declares her to be one of the coveted fertile women on Earth. No longer willing to be a pawn to further her parents’ ambition, she finally finds the courage to break free before she can be claimed in a loveless match. She is determined to set her own path, but never expected where it would take her...
Trevar Storm and Deacon Wilde are Alliance Elites, but there’s nothing elite about their current assignment. They crew one of the oldest freighters in the fleet, ferrying goods across Alliance controlled space with just each other for company. With a reputation for trouble and no chance at promotion, the two men are planning for the day they can go into business for themselves and leave their military lives behind.
A straightforward supply run turns into a life changing event when the two elites discover a treasure hidden in their cargo bay. Keeping their sexy stowaway may bring the full wrath of the Alliance down on their heads, but Trevar and Deacon won’t let her go without a fight. Will their journey end in heartache, or can three misfit hearts find love in the darkness between the stars?
Susan lives out on the Canadian west coast surrounded by open water, dear family and good friends. She’s jumped out of perfectly good airplanes on purpose and accidentally swum with sharks on the Great Barrier Reef. If the world ends, she plans to survive as the spunky, comedic sidekick to the heroes of the new world, because she’s too damned short and out of shape to make it on her own for long.
Writing is her joy, her escape from reality and the only way she knows of to quiet the nagging harridan of a muse the universe assigned to her.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
A Scroll, A Pilot and A Cyborg Walk into a Bar...
The best part of this series is the richness and diversity of the world. I love that this story is about a scroll within the system. We get a lot of different backgrounds for the heroines and it helps to keep the series fresh. While these women all come from different backgrounds, they are all strong and courageous. Sonja is no exception. I am quite pleased with the heroes of this book. While I love noble, powerful, commanding alpha males as the next girl, it was nice to see a different kind of hero. These Alliance elites weren't the best and the brightest, but they fit the heroine's needs much better than any other elites.
Recommendation: I have loved every book in the series and look forward to the next one. I am hoping for a book about T'Karra and the Krystos in the future.
I was lucky enough to receive an advance of this book and it was worth the wait. Ms. Hayes can sure write some steamy scenes and the story was interesting too. We met the heroine Sonja in 3013: Renegade a previous book in the 3013 series. I liked all the characters in Stowaway. I go for the macho yet wounded men like Trevar and Deke the make leads. I would suggest reading the entire series as it's very enjoyable. There are 4 different authors writing it but so far 2 books have been penned by Laurie Roma and 2 from Susan Hayes with more to follow. If you like books on the erotic side with multiple partners then this is for you.
OMG...this book was so HOT! I love this series! The characters and world building in this series is so fantastic! Sonja is spirited, strong, and compassionate, she won't let anything stand in the way of what she wants. Trevar is the perfect mix of humor, caring, and strength. Deke is just the perfect alpha male! After reading this book I want to be a stowaway too! It has all you could want in a great book, action, love, humor, and HOT sex! I totally recommend reading not only this book, but all of the books in the 3013 series!
Didn't know I had missed leaving a review of this fantastic addition to the absolutely marvelous series. Plenty of action filled moments, drama ,heartbreaking and heartwarming situations with steamy hot scenes included in this wonderful addition to the series. I'm so recommending that you have this terrific series even though you can also read them as a standalone you'd be missing out on all the characters who are diversified as are their storylines! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
I just have fallen in love with this series. It was just another great read. I am so excited that there is another one. I am getting it like right now. If you want hot, fun and just plain good give this series a shot.
I have decided to reread the series because of the several new additions to the series I wanted to re-experience the 3013 world. I am so glad I did I get to revisit all my favorite characters and I am so in love with this series.
It's a quick read... not sure it's worth the price. It follows the same path as the others in the series--two alpha men wanting to claim a scroll. There's some fighting, some adventure, and LOTS of sex. A light, quick, brain candy read with steamy mfm scenes galore.
I am enjoying how these authors are crafting a universe together but still giving us different glimpses of parts of it. I liked how this one came across as a kind of rags to riches tale, but instead of Sonja, it was with Trevar & Deacon. Another great entry into this series. Can't wait for the next one.
Amazing. I absolutely loved this one. Well written and enjoyable to read. If you enjoy reading sci-fi futuristic romance with menage then you will love this series too. I can`t wait till the next one.
The characters were well written, and I liked the heroine. Some typos and grammar errors, medium spice, RH dystopian romance, no M/M. I will give the next book a chance.
As this book opens, we see Sonja Grekov as she flees from her bodyguards and the shuttle that was going to take her home. Her mother had informed her that the negotiations for her claiming were completed.
There was no way Sonja was going from one gilded cage to another, and according to Alliance law she couldn't refuse a legitimate claim. The pair chosen by Petr Grekov, Janice Burrows-Grekov, and Carl Burrows were old enough to be her parents. Now she had to find a way out of here.
After transferring all her credits to an off-world bank anonymously she uses her ability as a Class B Precog to find a scenario where she doesn't get caught, throws away her wrist unit and goes with it.
She chooses the shuttle being loaded based solely on instinct and hides in a corner amongst the cargo, only to have more placed above her. She was closed in, and once again opens up to her ability and is reassured her bodyguards wouldn't find her, but nothing further than that.
As Trevar 'Thunder' Storm readies for take-off, his partner Deacon 'Deke' Wilde discovers their cargo is overweight. Since they are behind schedule Trevar decides not to check and tells Deke not to either since he considers anything not on the manifest fair game. Anything that can make them a profit would help them reach their goal of leaving the Alliance and starting their own freight hauling business. After Deke puts a containment shield over the cargo, Trevar assures Deke even a crate of kittens would be safe back there and takes off.
We learn at this point that Trevar will never ascend in rank because of his loose interpretation of the rules, and Deke is a pariah because of having been used for some experimental technology that is now considered a risk and not human. The only one it never mattered to is Trevar, which is why they are now partners. Deke also thinks about what sort of woman would want to traipse around the stars with them once they went private and concludes none.
As soon as Trevar lands the shuttle in the hold of their freighter the Arca, Deke heads to the cargo area to figure out what put them overweight. He follows a smeared blood trail and hears groaning. He moves the boxes and there is no mistaking the woman there or the scroll marking peeking through strands of her hair.
He calls for Trevar to join him because they have a problem. A priceless one.
By sharing her story their stowaway Sonja, secures passage on the Arca. Trevar takes her to the med room to treat her feet and so she could recover from the harsh beginning of her journey.
As Trevar's trying to leave the orbital dock their AI is giving him problems about Sonja's presence on board. Deke had gone to check on Sonja who Trevar now calls kitten and found her flailing on her aching feet. Knowing she may never see Earth again because of the way she left and is heading for sanctuary Deke carries her to the cockpit to see Earth from orbit. It's then she learns about Deke's cybernetic implants. She has many questions since she worked with programming and designing droids in the family business. Questions that would have to wait while Deke gets the AI to accept her presence.
While Deke works, Trevar leans over his chair where she's sitting and pointing out things of interest including where she got onboard the shuttle that led her to them. That leads to a kiss that has her deciding she wants him but as he draws back Deke interrupts. He lets Trevar know he's not giving up without a fight. She lets him know Trevar doesn't have her. She's not apologizing for the kiss or the kiss she's about to give Deke either, she's choosing both of them.
Sonja slept well and when she joins Deke and Trevar in the recreation area, she teases them about their conversation and the bickering they were doing. She compares them to her brother Nikolai and his partner Colin, and the fact her now sister-in-law Alayna was ready to slap some sense into them before the ceremony. Now they realize not only are her parents the very wealthy owners of the biggest robotics company on Earth, but her brother and his partner are the generals in charge of the base they took her from. Surprise!
I love the way this plays out as the three of them get to know each other. From their first stop on Jitrat, where Trevar bought new clothes for Sonja while Deke shows her the interesting joys of weightlessness and falling in love with her. Sonja does a lot more shopping on Jitrat before they have to make a hasty departure and she also reveals she's a precog to help them on their way. To Trevar taking a really big risk that may or may not land him and Deke in prison.
There is much love and romance in this one, along with meeting some very interesting folks like T'karra the Krytos who runs the Blacck Hole bar/sanctuary on X2. Along with that there is the search for Sonja instigated by her parents separate from the alerts her brother General Nikolai Grekov sent through the Alliance channels. So there is plenty of action as well.
I am really loving this series and can't wait to read the next book!
running from her family to make her own life she stows away on a ship and finds herself with two handsome elites she is the treasure they have been searching for but she is so much more
Susan Hayes has another hit on her hands with Stowaway, the fourth book in the 3013 series. Here, we get to know Sonja Grekov (the younger sister of Nikolai in Renegade) better, and follow her escape from the clutches of her conniving, underhanded parents. (Can you tell that I really, really didn’t care for her mother and fathers?) If you haven’t read the previous books in the series, it shouldn’t impact your enjoyment of the book, as the author inserts the perfect amount of backstory detail to keep you engaged, coupled with a plot that’s rife with romance, excitement, and enough twists to give you whiplash of the most delicious kind.
Initially, I wasn’t sure if I’d like Sonja. When I was first introduced to her in Renegade, I felt she came across as a flighty, shallow and immature girl. When I’m wrong, I’ll say so, and man, I couldn’t have been more so with my assessment of the heroine. Sonja was very smart and crafty – she single handedly planned her escape from the clutches of her self-serving parents and evaded four (count them – four) bodyguards to stow away on the ship being piloted by Trevar Storm and Deacon Wilde. Sure, she didn’t plan beyond getting on a ship that would take her off planet - but that’s where I felt the character showed some real growth. She could have easily whined, cried and bribed her way across the galaxy in a snit, but instead found a way to employ her skills in robotics to benefit the Arca and it’s crew. I liked her courage and her adaptability – I think it made her character more relatable and certainly more likeable.
There's no question that Trevar and Deke had led a difficult life. Early on, Deke had opted for cybernetic implants as part of his Alliance sanctioned enhancement. While they allowed him to be up close and personal with the ship’s computers, it caused him to become somewhat of an outcast from everyone except Trevar. It broke my heart that people would be so uneasy around someone that really appeared to be a genuinely nice guy. Trevar, being a Class B empath, found it difficult to really connect with people, simply because he had to shield himself from other's emotions as a matter of his own sanity. The two men bonded over their trials, and in spite of their age difference, the friendship flourished. They had no plans to seek a mate, since neither of them were well regarded within the Alliance Elite, but didn’t shy away from getting to know Sonja. I loved how they thought outside of the box though, and took advantage of the opportunities that presented themselves. Where the Alliance would consider them rule “stretchers”, I think they came across as incredibly smart and creative.
Watching the three of them (Sonja, Trevar, and Deke) learn to not only like, but fall in love with, each other was such a trip. Neither guy had planned on taking a mate, but they were gung ho for expanding Sonja’s horizons socially and sexually. I give credit to Ms. Hayes for the way she built the relationship between the trio. It could have easily been an overabundance of sex that added nothing to the plot. Instead, I got to watch as they revealed bits of themselves to each other, showing such vulnerability that at one point I was actually tearing up as I read.
As with the last 3013 installment I’d read, there were secondary characters that I couldn’t help but be intrigued with, and this story was no different. This time, the big, bad, and sometimes beastly Krytos stole a scene or two, and piqued my curiosity in a serious way. They have a story that I think the fans of this series will want to read, and hope they’ll get a book or two (or a spin off!) in the future. In any case, Susan Hayes has done it again with Stowaway, and has quite possibly converted me to a Sci-fi romance junkie.
You know I just love this series more with each new installment. Sci Fi and erotic paired together just makes it better than good. One of my favorite things about this series is the return of other characters. Stowaway book 4 of the series...reiterates the fact that we don’t get to choose our parents only we wish we could. Remember Sonja Niko's little sister?? this is her awesome story. When her heavy handed parents choices for her goes a bit too far, Sonja decides to make her own way by running away. Trevor and Deacon yeah they were elite officers but really not as “elite” as others... and were known to stay in some kind of trouble. Trevor was known for his craziness and some just thought he was actually really crazy...something in Trevor's past changed him. Deacon has his own hurts from the past...his elite training worked better than it should..he was able to lock down his emotions near to robotic specs. Never letting anything show on his face....he was known as the Ice Man for a reason. As a firm believer in fate.. knowing fate will just stir it up and change how you think your life will be...enters Sonja as she took off from her body guards.. she winds up on Deacon and Trevor’s freighter. Sonja's brother is a General Trevor and Deacon are lower ranking elite, Sonja and her family are beyond wealthy... Trevor and Deacon are doing side jobs to obtain their goal, Sonja is a scrolled female ...Trevor and Deacon has no rights to claim a scroll of their own. What fun!! space travel, fighting.. sexy sassy women in control of their own destiny.. awesome characters and some yummy sex poppin off. I loved it and if you're into science fiction Id be the first one to tell you to grab this read. Id not say it was a stand alone exactly... you could maybe read it without the others.. but you'd miss some key points. Thank you Susan Hayes for a awesome experience!! Enjoy
3013: Stowaway is the fourth book in the 3013: The Series. Author Susan Hayes does an amazing job of spinning a new twist into the 3013 series. I love her sense of humor, made me really smile and laugh as I read this particular book. Sonja we met in Renegade. She is the daughter of wealthy parents. She is also a scroll. She has been pampered and protected for the uses of her greedy parents. They want her to have the right match that would make them most money. Sonja true to when we met her in Renegade she is a rebel. She wants her own life with her own choices. She is willing to jump on the first transport ship to take that life for herself. Trevar Storm is an empath. He travels with his friend Deacon Wilde they are both Alliance Elites. But they are the outcastes because of their gifts. Deke can interface with computers. He doesn’t show much emotion. Because of these things most people stay away from him. He has resigned himself to never having a scroll of his own. He wants one but he knows no woman would want a man like himself. Trevar ‘s gift keeps him from wanting to be around too much emotion. So his best friend Deke is perfect for him. He wants a scroll someday but wants to travel and make a business first. I liked his laid back sunny personality it is a great contrast to the darker personality of Deke. They complement each other very well. These two never thought to be a family unit until they have a sexy stowaway. Sonja is the game changer for them both. Her spirit, love, and care heals something inside of both men. Ms. Hayes brings together romance, love, and a great sense of humor to make Stowaway an unforgettable story. Stowaway is a part of a series that should be read in order. I am really looking forward to the next story in the 3013 and who falls in love next.
Ok firstly i started off really enjoying the building of the story but then I thought what the fuxx when she and Trevor kissed and she says I want both of you within an hour of meeting them and through out the book Trevor creaped me out it pushy, money orientated and any young puxxxy will do he keep making me feel yuck lol,he was all about a hot body( anyone really will do for him but she has money so added bonus ) I liked deke though thought he was sweet and thoughtful The book was not really romantic more erotica which I don't mind but this book wasn't for me too little story progresson and I probibly forget the story within days 2.3 stars
Good story, good world building, very good character development of the three principals and a number of the secondary characters. One of the things I am liking about this series is the introduction to and descriptions of characters from other worlds. I also like the menage (triads for the most part but in the first book MMMMF) relationships. They are developed and presented in such a way that the reader does not see them as "wrong" or deviant. There are three different authors writing in this series which is interesting and I think I rather like it! Over all I rated the story at 4.4 and assigned it a sexy rating of 4.5.
I liked that sonja got a chance to escape her parents. The men she falls in love with are not your typical Alliance Officers as shown in the other books. She needed someone different. She got that with her men. Love the chemistry between the three of them..... and.....Absolutely thrilled that her parents got what they deserved. 3013: The series is great sci fi romance. Can't wait for the next book to come out. Kudos to all the authors.
Sonja is Nik's sister and had such potential. This book is no where near the others in style or plot. Sonja is fleeing her parents who have sold her to two elites old enough to be her father. She shows away on a relic ship and meets her two mates. Characters were dull and uninteresting. This story could have been great.
I absolutely love these books - it doesn't matter which author wrote them, they just keep getting better. I love the romances and love the storylines. They're interesting and keep you reading to the end. Trevar and Deke are just gorgeous and everything Sonja could have asked for in mates. Very sexy, good read.
Three lonely souls meet under some interesting circumstances.. Sonja, Deacon, and Trevor's story was a combination of sizzling chemistry and tender moments woven into a solid storyline I enjoyed reading!
Love this series. Sonja ran away and found what she has been looking for all her life. debe learn how to smile. and Trevor learn to feel again. I totally couldn't put this book down.
Once again, I think I prefer the Susan Hayes books in this series as opposed to the Laurie Roma offerings. I did enjoy this one.
We've properly left Earth for a change, on it for only a few minutes.
The heroine isn't some wunderkind, though she is good with mechanics, and is a precog. (Sorry, the heroine in the previous book just really bothered me)
I liked Deac and Trevar. Both for different reasons.
The story didn't feel rushed. It felt like they both got the right amount of time individually with Sonja.
And I liked The Black Hole Sanctuary. I hope those characters are featured in the future.
