In 1852, a coven of witches fled religious persecution in their home country of Ireland seeking out refuge in the United States. The Delany family was one of the many who found solace and isolation in a tiny wooded town in Ohio and have been living there peacefully ever since.
Generations later in 2001, Aibhlinn Delany is happily practicing her craft with her sisters, when she catches the eye of Lorcan Carmody, son of the High Priest of her coven. Despite her mother's warnings, Aibhlinn finds herself falling deeply in love with Lorcan and soon they are inseparable.
A few months later, Aibhlinn is ecstatic to learn she is pregnant with twins. She and Lorcan prepare for parenthood with hopeful hearts. However, their happiness is interrupted when strange things start happening in Darbyville; spells backfire and crops fail, leaving their small community on edge.
Could the twins due on Samhain be the inception of evil in Darbyville? Or is there something else set on the destruction of their sanctuary?
