The 45th Parallel

Rate this book
Since childhood, Kat has worked very hard to suppress the visions and nightmares that followed her mother's suicide. Now as a young woman, her decision to return to Northport, Michigan, has triggered the recurrence of those childhood dreams and the fear that her psychic abilities will cause her to become mentally unstable like her mother.

As Kat tries to settle into life in the small harbor town, she is introduced to John Warren, a handsome but mysterious winery owner whose parents vanished while sailing on Lake Michigan three years earlier. Compelled by her intense attraction to him, Kat reluctantly agrees to find out what happened using her psychic powers.

As Kat begins to unravel the mystery, she will have to struggle to save her sanity and her life as she discovers what the disappearance of John's parents, her mother's death, and the curse of the Reaping Moon have in common.

I’m not going to lie to you. This book was straight GAS. I would read this book when I was working my night shift as the store manager at Jersey Mike’s. The erotica really got me and the boys going while we were hot-tubbing on Friday nights. I actually own 45 copies, not just because of my love for the book, but actually because I bought 1 for every parallel in the story. I really think that this book should be made into a movie, and I think the cast should consist of Serena Williams and Samuel L. Jackson. Overall, I would 100% recommend buying this book as a Christmas gift for your fun uncle or your second cousins. Such a bargain!

Great book! Sat down to read it on a Friday evening and finished it Sunday night. It definitely falls under the "paranormal" category but kept me on the edge of my seat and it was difficult to put the book down. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic book. Good balance of fantasy & romance. Enjoyed the interaction between Kat, her family & friends. The reader can feel the turmoil that Kat is experiencing. Loved the detail of the northern Michigan setting.
